During the early to mid-1980s, years after Stevie Nicks and Don Henley‘s relationship had ended, the two reconnected on several collaborations, beginning with Nicks’ 1981 solo debut Bella Donna, and thier hit duet on “Leather and Lace,” which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Henley also joined on the backing vocals and drums on the Bella Donna track “The Highwayman,” and in 1985, the pair reunited for a cover of Warren Zevon‘s “Reconsider Me,” which ended up on Nicks’ 1998 box set Enchanted.
Both reconnected again 30 years later for Henley’s 2015 album Cass Country on an unlikely cover. Featured as a bonus track for Target, “It Don’t Matter to the Sun” was released 16 years earlier on Garth Brooks‘ album, released under his alter-ego moniker Chris Gaines.

Initially, the character of Chris Gaines was created for a film called The Lamb, which starred Brooks as a rock star chronicling different periods throughout his life. The film was never released, but Brooks went ahead nad took on the persona of Gaines and his music with the 199 release of Garth Brooks in…The Life of Chris Gaines. Born in Brisbane, Australia to a mother who was an Olympic swimmer, and his father, who was her coach, the raven-haired Gaines survived a tragic car crash in the early1990s, which altered his appearance.
Produced by Don Was, The Life of Chris Gaines went to No. 2 and featured “It Don’t Matter to the Sun,” which was covered by singer and comedian Rosie Thomas and Glee star Matthew Morrrison years before Nicks and Henley’s version.
Written by Gordon Kennedy, Wayne Kirkpatrick, and Tommy Sims, “It Dont’ Matter to the Sun” follows a severed love and how the sun, the moon, and life still move on.

First connecting in the mid-1970s, Nicks and Henley dated for a few years before calling it off by the late ’70s. During their union, Nicks became pregnant with Henley and had an abortion, which may have been the partial inspiration behind the lyrics of “Sara,” released on Fleetwood Mac‘s Tusk.
“Had I married Don and had that baby, and had she been a girl, I would have named her Sara,” said Nicks. “But there was another woman in my life named Sara [Recor], who shortly after that became Mick’s wife, Sara Fleetwood.”
Released December 5, 1979, “Sara” went to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nicks later revisited the name in 1987 on the Fleetwood Mac Tango in the Night track “Welcome to the Room…Sara” — When you hang up that phone / Well, you cease to exist / Welcome to the room, Sara.
By the ’80s, Nicks also talked openly about her relationship with Henely and their continued friendship. “Well, Don always treated me very special,” said Nicks. “He always kinda treated me like we were married, in that strange sorta way, he still does, whenever I see him. I think he found in me something that he has not probably found since, and that was somebody that was very… .”
Nicks continued, ”It was 1976, this was right after the beginning of when Fleetwood Mac really made it, and The Eagles had been big for a long time. So, he found a very different kind of girl in me than in most of the women that he was used to hanging out with, and we had a very special relationship because of that.”

Popeyes and Don Julio have come together to celebrate the upcoming Super Bowl with some new menu items.
As this year’s big game is taking place in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome, the fast-food chicken restaurant will be coming out with limited-edition menu items meant to combine the Louisiana cooking style with “the bold flavors of Tequila Don Julio Reposado.”
According to a press release, customers aged 21 or older will be able to purchase the Concha Chicken sandwich, featuring a chicken breast marinated in reposado tequila, fried in a crunchy buttermilk breading, and topped with a tequila lime slaw.
Other menu items include Louisiana Garlic 3-piece wings, which are also flavored with reposado tequila, and a Spicy Strawberry Hibiscus lemonade mocktail.
These items will only be available in select Popeyes locations within six different cities on January 31: New York City, Miami, New Orleans, and the hometowns of the two Super Bowl teams — Philadelphia and Kansas City.
After January 31, the menu items will solely be available at Popeyes’ flagship store in New Orleans until the end of Super Bowl Sunday on February 9.
For those unable to try the collaboration in person, the two companies have offered coupons. Popeyes is offering a buy-one-get-one chicken sandwich offer when ordering through UberEats and Don Julio will be offering $5 off to redeem on their website.
The coupons will be available from January 29 through February 9.
This year’s Super Bowl will witness a rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, who previously faced off in the 2023 Super Bowl where the Chiefs emerged victorious.
Kickoff is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. ET.
It’s been announced that Grammy-winning singer and New Orleans native Jon Batiste will be performing the national anthem ahead of the game, while Lauren Daigle and Trombone Shorty will perform “America the Beautiful.”
This year’s halftime show will be headlined by Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, who will be joined by his longtime collaborator, R&B star SZA.
Lamar, 37, was announced as the halftime performer in September by Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation works with the NFL to select the halftime show performer.
“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” Jay-Z said in a statement at the time. “His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”
It’s not yet known if Lamar plans on bringing out any other guest performers.
Fox is broadcasting the game this year, but for those who no longer have cable, Tubi will also be live-streaming it for free.

Theo kế hoạch, trong Chương trình sẽ có màn trình diễn ánh sáng bằng drone hỏa thuật và màn bắn pháo hoa tầm cao vào đúng khoảnh khắc giao thừa để đón chào năm mới Ất Tỵ 2025. Tuy nhiên, sau khi rà soát, đánh giá, xem xét các yếu tố và tình hình thực tế, Ban Tổ chức quyết định dừng phần trình diễn ánh sáng bằng thiết bị bay không người lái (drone) để đảm bảo sự thành công của chương trình.
Trước đó như Dân Việt đã đưa tin, tối 26/1, tại khu vực quảng trường Mỹ Đình – sân vận động Quốc gia Mỹ Đình, hơn 2.025 drone hỏa thuật gặp trục trặc, lỗi liên tục, không xếp thành hình. Đây là chương trình chào đón năm mới 2025 với quy mô lớn.
Lúc hơn 20 giờ, hơn 2.025 drone hỏa thuật bắt đầu thắp sáng bầu trời Mỹ Đình. Tuy nhiên chỉ có 5 hình ảnh đầu, drone xếp thành hình. Theo ban tổ chức, sẽ có 9 hình ảnh chính. Từ hình thứ 6 drone gặp trục trặc, lỗi liên tục, không xếp thành hình. Nhiều drone rơi tự do dù đang trong quá trình xếp thành hình.

California Agave Council founding Director Craig Reynolds weighs in on tequila shortages and why several California distilleries are turning to Agave-based spirits on ‘Kennedy.’
Drawing from a desire to provide consumers with innovative products harvested exclusively from Mexico, one spirit brand is staying true to its commitment and producing only additive-free blanco tequila as the company continues to grow its product line amid shifts in the spirits’ category.
Eduardo “Lalo” González, grandson of Don Julio and co-founder of Lalo Spirits, unveiled High Proof, a limited-edition release of 108 proof (54% ABV) tequila blanco, which expanded the brand’s portfolio from one product.
“The High Proof is an undiluted version of our 80 proof,” González told FOX Business. “You have a tequila that is not watered down. All the flavors, aromas, the flavor profile of the juice, is kind of like on steroids. It’s highlighted even more.”

Cinnamon, cooked agave and tropical notes are among the pungent aromas found in a pour of High Proof.
“It’s very well-balanced,” González said.
High Proof is made with only three ingredients; agave sourced from the Jalisco highlands, water from the distillery’s well and champagne yeast.
“We did a test of four different yeasts and the one that kind of highlighted this balance that I wanted in the final product was champagne yeast,” González said.

With the help of his childhood friend and co-founder, David Carballido, González launched High Proof on digital shelves in late October 2024. The product sold out on the brand’s website within one week.
“We were like okay, we need more,” he said.
Today, consumers can purchase a second drop of High Proof, which retails for $74.99, online and in select stores and restaurants.
“It’s kind of giving us the North Star of how we should do it this year,” González said.
González revealed that because of High Proof’s success, the Lalo team is strongly considering limited edition releases a few times a year.

At the overwhelming request from consumers for an aged expression, González said he often finds himself drumming up new ideas and considering the possibilities of blanco.
“The consumer is looking for more crafty options, more authentic options in the realm of spirits and tequila obviously,” he said. “They’re being more, I don’t know if I’d call it picky, but they investigate more. They read more. They want to know more about what they’re drinking and eating and putting in their body.”
González said Lalo can shapeshift a multitude of limited edition products by exploring agave from a region outside of Jalisco, experimenting with cooking and extraction methods, types of yeast and the source of water, in order to expand.

“Using rain water is possible, though challenging,” González told FOX Business. “I don’t know how sustainable it is.”

UK brewer Hydes has announced its new product ranges for 2025.
As seen with the 2024 range, the 18-strong range for 2025 includes six cask ales as part of its bi-monthly vintage offering and 12 seasonal guest ales.
The vintage range comprises historic brews recreated and influenced by the original Hydes Anvil range continuing to take the historic retro styling of Hydes pump and bottle clips from the past as inspiration, which proved popular with drinkers last year.
Adopting the brewery’s original Anvil Brand name, the range sees a varied selection of ales on cask introduced throughout the year including Hydes XPA (4.0% ABV), Hydes Mild (3.4% ABV), Hydes IPA (4.4% ABV), Hydes Red (4.5% ABV), Hydes Stingo (6.0% ABV) and Hydes Imperial (5.2% ABV).

Don Lemon thinks Matt Lauer could make a big comeback.
The former CNN anchor, 58, opened up about his relationship with the controversial journalist, 67, and why he believed the public would welcome Lauer with open arms if he were to return to television on the latest episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast.
In November 2017, NBC fired Lauer from Today after a former employee, who was later identified as Brooke Nevils, claimed he sexually harassed her. Shortly after, several women also came forward with similar accusations.

Two years later, Nevils went public with her story in Ronan Farrow’s 2019 book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, and alleged that Lauer raped her in his hotel room at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Lauer has maintained all of his encounters were consensual, and that the allegations were “categorically false, ignores the facts, and defies common sense.”
On the podcast, Lemon said Lauer could return to media and “set his own course” on a digital platform and added that viewers were ready to see the journalist back on their screens.
“I only got to know Matt after, you know, the whole situation happened and because we live in the same town and we have mutual friends,” Lemon explained. “Whenever I see Matt out and about, or, you know, even with us, if we go out to dinner, my husband and I will go out to dinner with him and his fiancé. And people love him.”
“Women love him. They’re like, ‘Matt, oh my God, can I get a picture? I love you. I miss you on television,’” he added. “And so I think the public loves him.”
Lemon claimed that the “public misses him” but the “people inside the business” might be “afraid” of the backlash they may face if they were to hire him back.
“Maybe in this whole Trump era when, you know, [being] canceled is over, I don’t know.” he continued. “Maybe there is a way that he’ll come back. But I think it’s more of the people who are inside of the business who are concerned about what happened with Matt.”
Though the two connected after his firing, Lemon and Lauer have been public about their friendship. In April 2024, Lauer and his girlfriend Shamin Abas attended Lemon and his longtime partner Tim Malone‘s wedding in New York City.

In November 2024, a friend of Lauer’s told PEOPLE that the journalist had reconnected with his old friends and found himself in “a really good place” with his kids Jack, 23, Romy, 21, and Thijs, 17, and his ex-wife Annette Roque since choosing to live a “quiet” life in the Hamptons.
“He’s actually doing well and happy,” the friend said. “He doesn’t work and he doesn’t have to. He’s not looking to. He was a journalist at heart and he did some impactful political interviews that spanned his career, but the current cycle of politics isn’t anything even people who have been doing it for a long time are really excited to cover.”
