Fans were eager to see how Rooks would perform in the pregame performance after hearing this news.

    The pregame shows for this season are with ESPN and TNT, featuring “NBA Countdown” and “Inside the NBA,” respectively. With a new pregame show, fans went online to express their excitement to see Rooks take the lead on a pregame show.

    Who is Taylor Rooks?

    Taylor Rooks started her career with scout.com, covering basketball and football at Illinois from 2012 to 2014. Her news stories caught the attention of a few networks as she broke news stories about NBA stars Jalen Brunson and Jayson Tatum.

    She got a job with the Big Ten Network as an on-air host, reporter and correspondent after graduating from college. Working at Big Ten allowed Rooks to collaborate with Glen Mason, Chuck Long, Jim Jackson, Mike Hall, Rick Pizzo and Dave Revsine.

    She had a unique role on the show as she interacted with the fans and talked about social media topics from the fans. In addition, Rooks hosts Lisa Byington’s Women’s Sports Report. All women’s sports are covered in the show.

    In 2016, Rooks had another opportunity to work for SportsNet New York as a host, reporter and anchor. The journalist also took on another assignment of being a sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network during the 2016-17 college football season.

    In 2024, she started as a sideline reporter for the NBA on TNT, giving her more chances to have exclusive interviews with stars.
