  • Steelers QB drama: Russell Wilson, Arthur Smith did not have the best working relationship, per report

During his season-ending press conference, Mike Tomlin said he was still in the process of unearthing what led to the Steelers‘ five-game losing streak to close out the 2024 season. Just before and shortly following Tomlin’s presser, two reports have come out that have done just that, likely to the head coach’s chagrin.

The latest report (which follows a previous one stating wide receiver George Pickens was late to the team’s Week 17 loss to the Chiefs) states that Pittsburgh offensive coordinator and quarterback Russell Wilson “did not have a very good working relationship but fought through their differences as best they could,” according to Mark Kaboly of The Pat McAfee Show. Unsubstantiated reports surfaced during the regular season that Smith preferred Justin Fields over Wilson, who took over as Pittsburgh’s starting quarterback after Fields helped lead the Steelers to a 4-2 start.

Wilson won six of his first seven starts in Pittsburgh, but he and the rest of the offense wilted during the five-game losing streak. The offense failed to score more than 17 points in each game over that span. Wilson’s play over that period was sporadic at best. He continued to have some success on his “moon” balls, but it became clear Wilson’s game was predicated on deep throws and check downs.

And after running for 55 yards and a score in a Week 15 loss to the Ravens, Wilson’s mobility was also a complete non-factor during Pittsburgh’s final two games. An example of this occurred at the end of Pittsburgh’s first drive during Saturday’s loss to the Ravens in the wild-card round. On a third-and-6 play, Wilson decided to scramble after seeing an opening. He was brought down two yards short of the sticks, however, after he was caught by 33-year-old linebacker Kyle Van Noy, thus forcing the first Steelers punt of the night.

Based on Kaboly’s report, in addition to how the season ended, it would appear that Fields has the upper hand when it comes to re-signing with Pittsburgh and getting an opportunity to be the franchise’s starting quarterback in 2025. Tomlin himself said on Tuesday that Fields has proven himself capable of being a starting quarterback.

Smith said something similar of Fields in November after Wilson replaced him in the starting lineup.

“I still view Justin and he is, I think, [a] premium starter in this league,” Smith said at the time

At this point, though, neither Fields nor Wilson is under contract for next season, so the Steelers will need to act quickly when it comes to making a decision at quarterback before free agency begins in March.

And while he is still under contract for two more years, Smith is interviewing for the Jets‘ and Bears‘ vacant head coaching positions this week. If he does not get either job, Smith will return to Pittsburgh, where he is surely hoping to have a more definitive quarterback situation this time around.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently in the midst of a quarterback drama, as reports have surfaced that Russell Wilson and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith did not have the best working relationship during their time together in Seattle.

According to sources, Wilson and Smith clashed over offensive philosophies and play-calling decisions, leading to tension between the two. This strained relationship ultimately played a role in Wilson’s desire to be traded, as he felt that his talents were not being utilized to their full potential under Smith’s guidance.

The Steelers, who are in need of a quarterback after the departure of Ben Roethlisberger, had been rumored to be interested in acquiring Wilson before he was traded to the Denver Broncos. However, with news of the strained relationship between Wilson and Smith now coming to light, it remains to be seen if the Steelers will continue to pursue the star quarterback.

As the quarterback carousel continues to turn in the NFL, the drama surrounding Wilson and Smith adds another layer of intrigue to an already tumultuous offseason for the Steelers. Stay tuned for further updates as the situation unfolds.

  • Kyle Richards Breaks Fourth Wall on RHOBH Amid PK Kemsley Drama

Fix today. Protect forever. Secure your devices with the #1 malware removal and protection software

The drama about Kyle Richards texting with Paul “PK” Kemsley is far from over, and in the above preview for Season 14, Episode 8 of The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsKyle breaks the fourth wall in order to shed new light on the situation.

    How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

When the subject of Kyle’s communication with Dorit Kemsley‘s estranged husband is once again brought up in the video above, Kyle gathers her friends and tells them she’s going to say something and then leave.

“I don’t know how this all went so wrong … ” she starts before Dorit asks her to sit down.

“I don’t want to,” responds Kyle. “I really don’t. I can’t do this anymore. I can’t do this anymore. I really can’t. I’m trying to be in a good place in my life. I want to say one thing, and then I’m leaving.”

When she’s met with more resistance, she stays firm. And then, facing Dorit, she gives a big statement.

“I love you, and PK, and your kids. You know that,” she says. “I know that you know that. I’ve been made to feel like I did something wrong, you know, sending a text to PK. So I said, ‘I’m going to read this once and that is it.’ And then [Bozoma Saint John] said something today that made it seem like maybe it was something weird, so obviously I’m showing that I have nothing to hide. I’m going to read it to you guys now.”

Kyle goes on to read her buzzed-about text to PK, which she sent when he and Dorit announced their separation.

“I said: ‘I know you have a lot of friends. I’m also one. If you need me, I’ve never repeated anything you’ve shared with me and wouldn’t,’” Kyle says, repeating the text she had previously read aloud to Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, and Garcelle Beauvais in Episode 7. Motioning to Dorit, she explains, “I don’t mean regarding you. I think that’s what you’re taking it as. I’m not talking about that.”

Then, gesturing to the cameras filming the women, Kyle states, “I’m talking about this, OK? Which I can’t say because we’re filming and in production.”

Garcelle Beauvais reacts to Kyle Richards’ nod to production on RHOBH

In a confessional, Garcelle announces her confusion with Kyle’s reveal.

“I don’t get what her talking to PK has to do with production,” Garcelle says. “So, if you’re having a private conversation with someone, and you want to say ‘I will never share what we talked about with production, you would write ‘with production.’ And she didn’t do that.”

“Either way it doesn’t look good, because obviously that means it was more than memes and jokes,” Garcelle adds. “Because if it’s memes and jokes, share them. Production likes to laugh too.”

The RHOBH cast reacts to Kyle Richards’ texts to PK Kemsley

Kyle’s texts to PK have been a hot topic throughout this Season of RHOBH. While Kyle has maintained that the messages are friendly and consist of memes and jokes (with the exception of the one she read aloud in the clip above), many of the women have taken issue that she continues to communicate with Dorit’s estranged husband.

When Kyle first read the text aloud during Episode 7, Sutton was taken aback. “Wait a minute,” she said in a confessional. “This is not just about memes and jokes. This is serious talk.”

During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Garcelle reflected on the moment as well.

“It didn’t dawn on me until I laid in the bed that night and I ran that through my head and I go, ‘Wait, did she say, ‘I’ve never said anything you’ve said to me and I never will?’ Which made it seem like they talked about things that maybe Dorit doesn’t know,’” Garcelle said. “No one asked her to read that, by the way. She volunteered to read that.”

Erika, meanwhile, explained that situations like this are the reason she hates text messages.

“You can take it like a script,” she said. “You can take it and make it anything you want. Give me a line read on this. I can make what you text him sound any f–king way I want, and if you don’t understand that, you’re not creative. But you and I both know know what you meant in that moment.”

Kyle Richards Breaks Fourth Wall on RHOBH Amid PK Kemsley Drama

In a shocking turn of events on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards broke the fourth wall during a heated confrontation with PK Kemsley. The drama unfolded during a tense dinner party, where tensions were already running high between the cast members.

As Kyle and PK engaged in a heated argument, Kyle suddenly turned to the cameras and addressed the audience directly. “I can’t believe this is happening right now,” she said, her voice filled with emotion. “This is not how I envisioned this night going.”

The moment was a rare break from the usual format of the show, where the cast members typically interact with each other and the audience watches from a distance. Kyle’s decision to break the fourth wall added a new layer of intensity to the already drama-filled scene.

Fans took to social media to express their shock and excitement over Kyle’s bold move. Some praised her for being real and authentic, while others questioned whether breaking the fourth wall was a good idea.

  • Fox Medical Drama ‘Doc’ Is a Streaming Success on Hulu

Fix today. Protect forever. Secure your devices with the #1 malware removal and protection software

Deadwood star Molly Parker has achieved another streaming success with Doc, a medical drama series now airing on Hulu. Based on the Italian television series Doc — Nelle tue mani, the show premiered its first episode, “If at First You Don’t Succeed…” on January 7, and got off to a solid start, with 2.2 million viewers tuning in.

Blending mystery and medical procedural elements, Doc follows Dr. Amy Larsen (Parker), a devoted surgeon at Minneapolis’ Westside Hospital, who suffered a brain injury following a car accident, causing her to lose her memory for the past eight years. As she attempts to rebuild her life, Larsen must piece together significant events from her forgotten years that could prove vital to her recovery.

Doc is the latest addition to the ever-growing roster of medical TV dramas that, despite being a well-worn genre, have kept audiences captivated for years. Having said that, the first episode has already proven to be hugely effective, skillfully navigating the familiar tropes that make these shows successful.

In particular, fans were blown away by Parker’s performance as Dr. Larsen, and the showrunners couldn’t have been happier with the reception. The series’ executive producer Hank Steinberg, who spoke to Variety recently, said:

“She’s just a thoroughbred, and it’s just so fun. When you’re doing a show, and you’ve got so many episodes to do and so many different things you want to explore, it’s important to know that anything you can throw at the actor — that they can not only handle it but elevate it. She really, really does that. Her ability to play all parts of the role, her ability to carry the complexity of the character through a very difficult situation. She has so much gravitas. I can’t say enough about her.”

Even though only one episode has been released so far, Doc has garnered favorable reviews. That is an impressive feat for an adaptation, considering that remakes rarely turn out as expected. We will have to wait and see how the second episode, which will premiere on Hulu on Jan. 14, fares compared to the pilot episode.

‘Doc’ is Made Up of Promising Supporting Characters

While Parker is outstanding in her role as Dr. Larsen, Doc is blessed with a promising group of actors who play their roles exceptionally well. And most notably is Scott Wolf (Party of Five), who plays Dr. Richard Miller, Amy’s rival. She is clearly upset at the fact that he took over her job following the accident, even if it is a position he has had his eye on for a long time.

  • Eli Manning Delightfully Reports There Is More College Football Roommate Drama Coming

Fix today. Protect forever. Secure your devices with the #1 malware removal and protection software

Friday night’s showdown between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl delivered plenty of drama.

The biggest play of the game was made by Buckeyes edge rusher Jack Sawyer, who strip sacked Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers in the fourth quarter and returned the ensuing fumble for a touchdown to seal the win for the Buckeyes.

Adding to the weight of the moment was the fact that Sawyer and Ewers were roommates years ago, before Ewers transferred to Texas. It’s the type of full-circle moment that is usually reserved for fictional narratives.

Understandably, the story of ex-roommates facing off on the biggest play of the night dominated headlines, but it also left a hole in the upcoming national championship matchup. How do you find a story to top the play Sawyer made on Ewers?

Don’t worry folks, Eli Manning is here to help. Sort of.

In a social media post, Manning shared that the two starting quarterbacks in the upcoming title fight—Will Howard of Ohio State and Riley Leonard of Notre Dame—were also once roommates, although their time dorming together came when they were taking part in the Manning Passing Academy.

Shout out to Archie Manning, who apparently texts just like every other dad in the country.

Obviously, this bit of trivia doesn’t carry nearly the weight of the former rooming situation between Sawyer and Ewers, it does provide a nice jumping off point for any reporters itching to ask the quarterbacks about their upcoming showdown.

Howard and Leonard will face off in the national championship on Jan. 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

  • Wade Barrett Set To Replace Pat McAfee On WWE Raw Commentary Amidst Corey Graves Drama

Fix today. Protect forever. Secure your devices with the #1 malware removal and protection software

Wade Barrett will fill in for Pat McAfee on commentary during Monday’s “WWE Raw.” It was confirmed earlier this week that McAfee would be unavailable for the show as he would be working the College Football Championship. Typically, Corey Graves would have been considered a forerunner to stand in for McAfee, but after he recently took issue with his moving to “WWE NXT” he was reportedly sent home ahead of this week’s show and has yet to have been used by WWE in the meantime. As such, it was announced during Friday’s “WWE SmackDown” that Barrett will be filling the role on Monday, returning to the red brand’s booth for the first time since moving last year.

It was reported after Graves’ single appearance on “NXT” that he was legitimately dissatisfied with being moved to the brand, which appeared to present itself during the broadcast itself between himself and Booker T. He was returning to the brand where he started his commentary journey — after hanging up his boots — and having since commentated for both “Raw” and “SmackDown” from 2016 onwards. Graves reportedly re-signed with the company in January 2024, believed to run at least for the next few years.

With clunky dialogue and on-the-nose voiceover narration by the titular Kitty (Anna Cathcart), exposition was clearly not the show’s strong suit.

If you need a refresher, we last left Kitty at the end of her first semester at Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). She got kicked out and then dumped her longtime boyfriend Dae (Minyeong Choi) because of her feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim), only to have Dae’s best friend Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) confess his feelings for her on the plane home. There was a lot of drama! The stage had been set for season two. And yet the show’s sophomore outing suffers from the same struggles that plagued its first batch.

“I never imagined Yuri would call her mom and get me back in, but now that I have a second chance, I’m not gonna mess it up,” Kitty narrates in the first 30 seconds of this new season. Much of the show is like this, with the voiceover or dialogue explicitly stating motives and conflicts. It’s like watching the results of the “Netflix mandate” to have characters announce what they’re doing for optimum background watching play out in real time.

Right off the bat, season two resets the clock on a lot of the developments that wrapped up back in 2023. Kitty rejected Min Ho on the plane, so they’re back to “hating” each other. Yuri and her girlfriend Juliana (Regan Aliyah) are together, so Kitty can’t ethically share her feelings. Kitty and Dae are tentatively trying to be friends. And gay BFF Q (Anthony Keyvan) continues to be the voice of reason for everyone.

But the show also introduces several new characters: Praveena (Sasha Bhasin), another possible love interest for Kitty’s bisexual exploration; Stella (Audrey Huynh), a new roommate who sets her sights on Min Ho; Jin (Joshua Lee), one more lackluster romantic partner for Q, who deserves better; and Eunice (Ryu Han-bi), who pairs up with Dae.

With increased screen time for Juliana, that basically makes five new characters, which XO, Kitty is not prepared to juggle along with its original five. Instead of diving into the arcs it already worked to set up, the show wastes time on these fresh, often pointless characters. And because there’s not enough time for everyone, some characters drop off for a few episodes only to pop up randomly later, and many plotlines don’t go anywhere. Unsurprisingly, season two is its strongest when the scenes stick to the original cast, with Kitty’s dynamics with Min Ho and Yuri (ones built upon from last season) being the most interesting. Min Ho’s story in particular is delicately developed, but Yuri’s clearly gets the short shrift in the back half of this season.

XO, Kitty is still a beautiful love letter to Korea, as language, culture, food, and music are all incorporated with care. Kitty’s quest to learn more about her deceased mother and Korean family continues with more moving results. And if you came to the show because of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, a visit from Peter Kavinsky—the “Covey” nickname originator, which of course gets commented on—might spark some feelings of fondness (although Noah Centineo really cannot pass for 22 anymore).

Season two also hits all the comfortable teen-show notes, with some K-drama DNA sprinkled in: a school dance, a ski weekend where everyone’s secrets come to light, a talent show with high stakes, love triangles galore, a plot for revenge, and so on. The ingredients are there, but the writing is not. And when the finale sets up a potentially more interesting future, it’s hard not to roll your eyes. XO, Kitty asked its audience to fall for that one before.

XO, Kitty season two premieres January 16 on Netflix

Netflix’s latest teen drama series has been garnering mixed reviews from viewers and critics alike. While some have praised the show for its realistic portrayal of teenage life and relationships, others have criticized it for its lackluster writing and formulaic plot.

The series follows a group of high school students as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence, dealing with issues such as friendship, love, and identity. While the show’s diverse cast and representation of LGBTQ+ characters have been applauded, many viewers have found the storylines to be cliched and predictable.

One major point of contention has been the show’s handling of sensitive topics such as mental health and substance abuse. Critics have accused the series of glamorizing these issues and failing to provide a meaningful exploration of their real-life consequences.

Despite these criticisms, the show has managed to attract a dedicated fan base, with many viewers praising the performances of the young cast and the show’s stylish aesthetic. However, it seems that Netflix’s teen drama may have stumbled in trying to balance entertainment with meaningful storytelling.

As the series continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether it will be able to overcome its shortcomings and deliver a more compelling narrative. In the meantime, viewers will have to decide for themselves whether this teen drama is worth a watch or if it’s better to switch to another show on the streaming platform.

  • Kings’ Domantas Sabonis keeps it real on Mike Brown, De’Aaron Fox internal ‘drama’

The Sacramento Kings made the rash decision to fire head coach Mike Brown on December 28 after a 13-18 start to the season. However, they’ve turned things around as of late under interim boss Doug Christie, winning seven in a row heading into Tuesday’s clash with the Milwaukee Bucks.

One of the main storylines this season was the internal drama between Coach Brown and franchise star De’Aaron Fox. The two reportedly didn’t see eye to eye and with the Kings looking to lock up their guard long-term, there’s a belief they let go of Brown to make sure Fox inks a new deal.

However, big man Domantas Sabonis shut down the rumors about the drama between Brown and Fox.

    Via Basketnews:

“There was a lot of drama, Sabonis admitted. “With Fox, coach, everybody. But we must think about the team and how we play, not the outside noise.”

“Everybody started talking nonsense. But we don’t pay attention to it and just do our job,” Sabonis continued.

Sabonis also praised Christie for the job he’s done since taking over for Brown:

“He has a very big heart,” Sabonis said. “He loves Sacramento a lot and will give everything for the Kings organization. You can see it every day during practices, video sessions, and games. The players feel that and want to fight for him.”

The vibes are up in Sacramento. During this unbeaten run, they’ve beaten several quality teams, including the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, and even the Boston Celtics last Friday. Sabonis is also balling out lately, registering 20 points or more in four straight appearances.

While many criticized the Brown firing, perhaps it was exactly what Sacramento needed — a culture change. Sitting just 1.5 games out of sixth place, the playoffs are a reality once again. And if Christie continues to thrive, the Kings might just hand him the full-time job. He certainly has the respect of his players.

In a recent interview, Sacramento Kings’ star Domantas Sabonis didn’t hold back when discussing the team’s interim head coach, Mike Brown, and the supposed internal drama surrounding point guard De’Aaron Fox.

Sabonis praised Brown for his leadership and coaching style, stating that he has brought a new energy and focus to the team. He also commended Brown for his ability to communicate effectively with the players and hold them accountable.

When asked about the rumors of tension between Fox and other members of the team, Sabonis brushed it off as typical competitive spirit and passion for the game. He emphasized that disagreements and conflicts are a natural part of any team dynamic, and that ultimately, it is all in service of pushing each other to be better.

Sabonis’ candid and straightforward comments shed light on the real dynamics within the Kings’ locker room, dispelling any notions of serious discord or dysfunction. With his positive outlook and team-first mentality, Sabonis is setting the tone for a successful season ahead for the Kings.
