  • Jeopardy! abruptly stops airing as furious fans complain they ‘missed’ breakout star Drew Goins snagging runaway win

TODAY’S Jeopardy! episode didn’t air in many parts of the country and viewers are furious they were unable to see breakout star Drew Goins snag his latest runaway win.

Those who tuned in on Monday expecting to see Ken Jennings on the Alex Trebek stage were met with a much different picture as most markets were still airing coverage of the Presidential Inauguration .

Jeopardy! did not issue any warning that it may not be airing the January 20th game due to the inauguration – leading many to believe the episode would proceed as normal.

However, footage from Donald Trump ’s inauguration continued to play in place of today’s game in most parts of the country.

The outrage over missing the episode was only increased when fan-favorite Drew delivered another impressive performance that some viewers won’t get to see.

One viewer wrote: “Can’t watch on my local ABC affiliate due to the inauguration, which really sucks, cause Drew is my fav.

“I was already bummed about today for obvious reasons but now it feels personal.”

“Here in Chicago we are preempted by the inauguration coverage. Talking heads keeping us from having 30 minutes of freedom from political craziness,” another said.

A third suggested: “Same. Total bummer. I really wish on national news pre-emption days that the Jeopardy Youtube channel would put up entire episodes.”

Drew, a journalist from Honolulu, Hawaii, has become a fan-favorite for his quick-witted game play, entertaining stories and fun fashion.

For today’s Champions Wildcard semifinals, he went up against Joey DeSena, a development engineer from Raleigh, North Carolina and Jen Feldman, a high school teacher from Brooklyn, New York.

Like his past games, Drew was off to the best start as he secured the most amount of correct answers, six, by the first break.

He had accumulated $4,200 by the commercial break, while Jen had $1,400.

Joey found and missed the first Daily Double – landing him with $0 by the break.

After the Jeopardy! Round was complete, Drew’s lead increased to $7,200.

Though Joey remained in third, he got himself on the board with $800 while Jen stayed in second with $2,400.

Host Ken, 50, then revealed the categories of the second round: “French Geography; 18Th Century Writing; Broadway; Psychology; Let’s Talk About Politics; Starts With ‘D.’”

Jen closed the gap of Drew’s lead when she found the second Daily Double – and accurately answered, adding $5,000 to her score.

    WHIZ KID

However, Drew quickly made that up by finding the third Daily Double which gave him a bonus $4,000.

Overall, Drew racked up an impressive 29 correct responses from today’s game – having only buzzed into two incorrectly.

Jen had 10 accurate answers with 0 mistakes while Joey made 3 incorrect guesses but had 12 right responses.

Jeopardy! first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they all are:

Jeopardy! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7 pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to present features hand-selected non-winners from the season prior, where the prize is entry into Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one, two and three-day champions from the season prior worth entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament (syndication) – 2023 to present, features past greats invited by producers to vie for a slot in Masters.

Jeopardy! Masters (primetime) – 2023 to present, features the six highest-ranked Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (primetime) – 1992 to present, has celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – 2024 to present, will feature teams of three tasked with pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, hosted by Colin Jost, airdate TBD

Jeopardy! has done away with specialized tournaments like its College Tournaments, Kids Week, and Professor’s Tournament to gear towards a more sports-like model, with Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have fizzled out throughout the years as well, like Sports Jeopardy!.

Going into the final, Drew had $26,800 while Jen had $12,600 and Joey was close behind, having accumulated $9,200.

Only Joey was correct with the Final Jeopardy! and knowing he was too far behind to snag a win, used his opportunity to write a message for his opponent.

“What is the Nautalis? Go for it, Drew!!” Joey exclaimed in his answer.

The affection was mutual, as Drew – who bet $0 for the last round – wrote: “What is a mouse??? Thanks Jen and Joey! <3.”

For their final scores, Drew garnered $26,800 while Jen had $10,000 and Joey a solid $9,811.

Drew advances to the finals of the Champions Wildcard Tournament and is hoping to score a spot in the coveted Tournament of Champions.

Drew Goins had captivated audiences with his quick wit, vast knowledge, and strategic gameplay. Fans had high hopes for him to continue his winning streak and possibly even become a Jeopardy! legend.

  • ‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Fuming as Millions Miss Thrilling Drew Goins ‘Wildcard’ Win

Jeopardy! fan favorite Drew Goins chalked up another runaway victory on Monday’s (January 20) Champions Wildcard semifinal, but many viewers are fuming because they couldn’t watch the episode due to Donald Trump‘s inauguration.

The episode saw Goins returning to the Alex Trebek Stage alongside fellow semifinalists Joey DeSena and Jen Feldman. Fans had been highly anticipating the match-up due to Goins’ impressive run through the Second Chance tournament and the Champions Wildcard quarterfinals.

However, many networks across the United States chose not to air the episode, instead providing coverage of President Trump’s inauguration in Washington, D.C. This led to frustration among Jeopardy! fans, as they weren’t previously warned that the episode would be preempted.

“I literally spent all day avoiding news about the inauguration only for it to f*** my nightly routine and the one thing I was looking forward to,” wrote on user on the Jeopardy! Reddit forum.

“It got preempted halfway through on the NBC channel we watch on,” said another.

“I was so looking forward to this all day. I audibly shouted when I saw what I saw instead of these lovely contestants,” another added.

One X user wrote, “What a lousy Monday 7PM #jeopardy peeps. The brain exercise is preempted.”

“I was already bummed about today for obvious reasons but now it feels personal,” added another.

“Talking heads keeping us from having 30 minutes of freedom from political craziness,” another said.

As with previous games, Goins got off to a quick start, answering an impressive 14 clues in the opening round to give him a solid lead of $7,200 over Feldman’s $2,400 and DeSena’s $800.

Goins continued to rack up correct responses in Double Jeopardy, though Feldman found the first Daily Double for a sizable $5,000. However, Goins landed on the second Daily Double, making an educated guess and snagging $4,000 for a total of $26,800, just enough for a runaway heading into Final Jeopardy.

Host Ken Jennings then read out the final clue, “A U.S. Navy website says its journey from New London to Norway in 1957 opened up Arctic waters previously ruled by the Soviets.”

Only DeSena answered correctly with the USS Nautilus, but it didn’t matter, as Goins (who wagered $0) had already secured his spot in the Champions Wildcard finals, where he’ll now be hoping to win and land a spot in the Tournament of Champions.

Did you get to see Monday’s episode of Jeopardy? What did you think of Goins’ game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Fans of the popular game show “Jeopardy!” were left fuming this week as millions of viewers missed out on witnessing the thrilling wildcard win by contestant Drew Goins. Goins, a software engineer from Chicago, managed to secure a spot in the next round of the tournament with his impressive performance.

However, due to a technical glitch on the network broadcasting the episode, many fans were unable to watch the nail-biting showdown between Goins and his competitors. Social media was flooded with angry comments from disappointed viewers who missed out on seeing Goins’ triumphant victory.

Despite the frustration expressed by fans, Goins himself remained humble and gracious in his win, thanking his competitors and the show’s host, Alex Trebek, for the opportunity to compete. He also expressed his gratitude to his family and friends for their support throughout the competition.

As the controversy surrounding the missed episode continues to brew, fans are hopeful that they will have the opportunity to catch a rerun of Goins’ wildcard win and witness his impressive performance firsthand. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Former Texas Rangers Closer Drew Interest From Dodgers Before Marquee Signing

Former Texas Rangers closer Kirby Yates is still waiting to find a home for the 2025 MLB season.

Yates is coming off of a phenomenal showing in 2024 where he threw 61.2 innings and compiled a 1.17 ERA and 33 saves for the 2023 World Series champions. The Rangers signed Yates to a one-year, $4.5 million contract and he came through for the team despite the franchise failing to meet expectations just after winning their first franchise World Series.

At 38 years old, Yates market has been limited this winter and he has an extensive injury history. When healthy, he is prolific, as shown during his time with the San Diego Padres and most recently, Texas.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Yates had been in contact with the Los Angeles Dodgers about a potential deal that would have seen them join their already loaded roster. However, the Dodgers came to an agreement with closer Tanner Scott on a hefty and lucrative four-year and $72 million contract with $21 million deferred.

That means Yates is still continuing to look for a place to pitch this upcoming season.

The Rangers still feel like a good fit for him, and a reunion makes sense. There is familiarity with the franchise and Texas is still looking to make an addition or two to their bullpen now that their local viewing rights have been sorted with a deal from the Victory+ app.

The team has already added Chris Martin, Robert Garcia, Jacob Webb, Shawn Armstrong and Hoby Milner to the bullpen, but president of baseball operations Chris Young recently stated that more additions, internally and externally, are being looked at.

The Rangers have a revamped bullpen this winter, but bringing Yates back into the fold could be a safe and smart option in order to retain some familiarity within the unit. Especially after losing Jose Leclerc and David Robertson to free agency.

However, Yates will likely come at a price tag higher than his $4.5 million salary in 2024, a presumable sticking point for the majority of his suitors at this point in the offseason.

It has been reported that former Texas Rangers closer, who recently became a free agent, drew interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers before the team made a marquee signing.

The Dodgers, known for their strong bullpen, were looking to add another reliable arm to help solidify their pitching staff. The former Rangers closer, who has a proven track record of success in high-pressure situations, was seen as a potential fit for the team.

However, the Dodgers ultimately decided to make a marquee signing, opting to go in a different direction for their bullpen needs. While the former Rangers closer may have missed out on a potential opportunity with the Dodgers, there are still plenty of teams in need of a reliable reliever who could benefit from his services.

It will be interesting to see where the former Rangers closer lands next and how he performs in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on his free agency journey.

  • Naomi Watts drew on her menopause experience for her first book

    On the Shelf

‘Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause’

    By Naomi Watts
    Crown: 256 pages, $29
If you buy books linked on our site, The Times may earn a commission from Bookshop.org, whose fees support independent bookstores.

“This will definitely end my career.” That was Naomi Watts’ initial response to the prospect of writing her first book, “Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause.”

Through her menopause-focused wellness brand, Stripes Beauty, and openness about her experiences with perimenopause in her late 30s while also trying to conceive her children with then-partner Liev Schreiber, Watts was already one of the foremost celebrities to address the aging process for women. “Dare I Say It,” to be published by Crown on Jan. 21, builds on her earlier efforts. It melds expert medical opinion, case studies from other women and Watts’ own experience.

“I hope it feels like an honest, cozy chat with a girlfriend and that will lead them to having that conversation in real time if they’re too scared to open up,” Watts says.

She’s candid about getting “baby Botox” (a small dose of the injectable) between jobs to preserve her facial expressions onscreen. The actor recently received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her performance as Babe Paley in Ryan Murphy’s “Feud: Capote vs. the Swans,” which she calls “a role of a lifetime. One of if not my best role.”

In her book, she shares an endearing anecdote about husband Billy Crudup, whom she married in 2023, assuaging her fears about exposing her hormone patch during their first tryst by pointing out the gray hairs on his testicles. “Those to date remain the most romantic words I’ve ever heard,” Watts writes.

That levity was intentional. “I was always wanting to bring humor into it because we know the pain points,” she tells The Times.

After overcoming her fear of the unknown as it relates to being a debut author, Watts aimed to write the kind of book she wished she had when she was struggling through symptoms alone. Watts’ mother entered menopause early too, at the age of 45, but they never spoke about it until Watts mustered up the courage to bring it up with her.

“I guess these are the conversations I didn’t have with you because my mother never had them with me,” Watts recalls her mother responding in “Dare I Say It.”

“I wished there was a book when I was suffering through it, flailing and filled with shame and doubt and confusion,” Watt says.

Perhaps the strongest part of “Dare I Say It” is when the book tackles HRT, or hormone replacement therapy, which got a bad rap in 2002 when a Women’s Health Initiative study asserted that HRT caused breast cancer and cardiovascular disease, among other health concerns. Watts writes that the study was actually commissioned to see whether HRT decreased risk of heart disease — it didn’t — and that it was stopped after researchers observed a slight increase in risk of breast cancer. Subsequent research has suggested that the benefits of the drug outweigh risks, especially for younger perimenopausal women. Advocates says HRT has been proven to help with bone density and to prevent or lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. This is not to mention the symptoms of menopause and perimenopause it’s most commonly used to treat.

“Women have been taught not to complain. To suck it up, this is a natural process, you must go through it,” Watts says. “But you don’t have to suffer. The bad studies that happened in 2002 just left us with so much fear.”

Watts stresses that she is not a doctor, and that everyone should discuss the best options for them with their own physician.

“But some doctors just say no without exploring that person’s medical history, and that is not OK. It’s because they’re not educated themselves,” she maintains.

“Dare I Say It” and other resources can act as a stop-gap for those without adequate support dealing with their symptoms.

“I tried to put together these doctors that I trusted, and it’s up to the reader to draw out of it the information they feel suits them,” Watts says. “If you come in with some preparation you can have a very nuanced conversation about what you’re experiencing, what your needs are and if this is right for you.”

Watts continues: “As one of the doctors says, we are still very connected to the misogynistic, patriarchal messaging that women are at our expiration date once our eggs are gone. That’s still there, no matter how far we’ve moved as a society. It’s just ingrained.”

Watts declines to directly respond to a question about incoming Vice President JD Vance’s seeming past endorsement of the view that the purpose of postmenopausal women is to look after their grandkids, simply saying: “Let the fact that I’m saying nothing say everything.

“We’re not going off to the corner and pulling out our knitting needles,” she says, “although I do love to knit.

“We have a lot left to do and it’s up to us to alter that messaging,” Watts continues. “Experience and time on the clock really matters. Women at this point in time have more experience, and we have something to offer to the younger generations.”

    Other than grandchild care.

Naomi Watts, known for her roles in films such as Mulholland Drive and The Impossible, is now making her mark as an author with her debut book, “Grey Matter.” In a recent interview, Watts revealed that she drew on her personal experience with menopause as inspiration for the book.

Watts explained that going through menopause was a transformative and challenging time in her life, and she wanted to explore those themes in her writing. “Grey Matter” follows the journey of a woman navigating the ups and downs of midlife, grappling with changing hormones and societal expectations.

The book has been praised for its candid and honest portrayal of menopause, with critics commending Watts for her raw and relatable storytelling. Fans of the actress-turned-author can expect a refreshing and insightful take on this often-taboo topic.

Watts hopes that “Grey Matter” will resonate with readers who are going through similar experiences, providing them with a sense of solidarity and understanding. As she continues to delve into the world of writing, it’s clear that Watts is not afraid to tackle difficult subjects and share her own vulnerabilities with her audience.

WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JAN. 20

    No lyrics today, y’all.

The incoming President of the United States of America made it one of his top priorities, on day one of his administration, to order the federal government to refuse to recognize me as the woman I am.

Nevermind the absurdity of focusing on a small minority of harmless (and mostly gorgeous) people at a time when the economy is shot, but the thing that they don’t understand is that trans folks have always been here, we are always GOING to be here, and we have never needed anyone’s permission to do so.

From the moment my eggshell broke on February 28, 2018 and I said the words “I am a woman” aloud for the first time, my entire existence was made clear in a heartbeat, every inch of what makes me ME, laid bare in ultimate understanding. It was as if the breath of life entered my body for the first time, truly animate rather than a puppet shell.

Before my social presentation changed, before hormones, before I got all my legal documents updated, before hair removal or surgery, before I so much as plucked a hair from my brow, my knowledge of myself was a game changer, and no mere words, no matter how much legal force they may or may not have, can take that away from me.

If anyone wishes to deny me the gender I fought so dearly for, they’ll have to come and take it.

    Death before detransition!

    On with the show!

The show opens with the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.

Rhea Ripley is walking along when Nia Jax blindsides her and beats her down, about putting her through a chain link fence before referees and road agents swarm and general manager Adam Pearce calls for a medic!

Michael Cole introduces Wade Barrett as his commentary partner for tonight, with Pat McAfee busy elsewhere.

“Main Event” Jey Uso makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He talks about Saturday Night’s Main Event and his plans to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship—

    Enter GUNTHER.

He laughs off Jey’s plans to win the title and calls him a funny little man, and they both know that’s not how it’s gonna happen. Last week Jey looked him in the eye and said every day he bets on himself, and he believed him! He was excited for their match… until today, when he saw him walking in here pretending like their conversation never happened.

Acting like a complete dork, like a mascot, and now he reckons he might as well fight Jimmy. Jey never follows up with his words, and what, he bets on himself until his cousin calls for him? Until Sami or Jim or Cody needs him? All that makes him is a useful idiot and he doesn’t even realize it.

Uso’s words and actions do not align, but GUNTHER’s do, he claims, and he says on Saturday when the bell rings, he’s going to expose him as a flash in the pan with no business being that close to the world heavyweight championship.

Jey admits he’s right again, and yeah he’s the mascot… and the people in the crowd are his team, his squad, who ride and slide with him and they’ll be with him when he wins the title on Saturday. And, Uso points out, he’s main evented WrestleMania and GUNTHER never has.

The Ring General snaps and attacks and we get a nice back and forth brawl until Uso sends him to the floor with a superkick and holds the title high in the ring before laying it down and telling him to come and get it. GUNTHER gets up on the apron briefly before backing off and taking his title and leaving.

New Day are walking backstage and they’re excited to run into John “Bradshaw” Layfield, who no doubt understands them and he’s going to be on commentary for their match against Rey Mysterio. Kofi Kingston slides some money into his suit pocket and chuckles, saying “you like money” before asking if he’ll go out and make their case for them.

JBL says he gets it, Big E had all those muscles and charisma and everybody loved him and now that he’s gone they gotta pay attention to them right?! New Day’s countenances sour and they walk off disappointed, and Layfield asks if he gets to keep the two dollars.

Rey Mysterio makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Bayley is interviewed backstage.

She says the cat is out of the bag and she’s officially back on Raw. It feels good and it feels right, and she’s also declaring herself in the Royal Rumble, and since she won last year, going back-to-back feels pretty good. She talks about picking a champion to fight—

Nia Jax rolls up and speaks inaudibly for a beat before the mic kicks in and she says SHE’S going to win the Royal Rumble.

We see various ccwpokes in the front row.

New Day cut a promo in their entrance annoyed at their music playing, and Kofi says the crowd is starting to piss him off with all the booing. They’ve been doing this too long to be disrespected like this. They’re walking Hall of Famers, and he takes his money back from JBL.

    Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio

John “Bradshaw” Layfield is on commentary for this one.

Struggling over a standing switch, waistlock takedown from Kingston, riding Mysterio, Rey with an arm wringer, reversed, rolling through, headlock, shot off, shoulder block takes the legend off his feet! Off the ropes, Mysterio with a tijeras, drop toehold puts him on the second but Kofi ducks the 619!

Trading kicks in the corner, shoulder block from Rey, slingshot but Kingston blocks the powerbomb! Following after, Kofi hooks him, short powerbomb into stomps to the midsection! Another powerbomb attempt is reversed into a Frankensteiner that sends Kingston into the steel steps as we go to break!

Off the ropes, Rey cuts him off with a bulldog and both men are down and out! Up in the turnbuckles, jockeying for position, Mysterio with the diving seated senton, springboard crossbody follows but nobody’s home! Counter a sunset flip into a dropkick, cover for two!

Set up for the 619 but Xavier Woods trips Rey up and gets ejected by referee Chad Patton! Mysterio decks Woods but Kingston attacks from behind with a northern lariat! Victory roll sets him up, this time Rey hits the 619, slingshot splash… THE KNEES ARE UP BUT MYSTERIO KICKS OUT OF THE COVER!

    Rey counters the Boom Drop…

Rey Mysterio wins by pinfall with a pinning predicament.

Post-match, New Day go to put boots to Rey but Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro make the save!

New Day make like they’re gonna leave but they come back to do a hit-and-run on Wilde and throw him into the post!

We get a recap of Penta’s debut from last week.

Backstage, an interviewer is standing by while Chad Gable gets the rest of American Made hyped up.

He turns around and says he knows the whole wrestling world is talking about him and he knows it seems like he has a problem fighting luchadors, so he went to an intelligent man with a moustache to match— Dominik Mysterio is helping him out. Meanwhile he’s given the rest of the squad their marching orders, to go after their various titles.

Julius Creed says they’re gonna tke the tag titles away from a team at the end of their career and win them for themselves, just entering their prime.

Sami Zayn is shown walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Sami Zayn is in the ring and gets on the mic.

He’s not gonna beat around the bush, he spoke to Adam Pearce and he’s officially entered into the 2025 Royal Rumble. Last week Seth Rollins told him he spends too much time helping other people and that got him thinking about what he wants. About 14-year-old him, about the millions around the world that dream of being pro wrestlers, and the thousands that get to live that dream, and the very small group lucky enough to call themselves WWE Superstars.

And then the smallest group, the top tier of WWE, and that’s where he is now and he firmly believes that he’s every bit as good as the rest of those guys, and they’re all in the Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and the only difference between them is that they have world titles to their names but he doesn’t.

He’s had a great life, a great career, he doesn’t feel like he needs the world title to complete himself, and the support from the fans through the years means more than any world title ever could. So no, he doesn’t need the world title… BUT DAMNIT, HE WANTS IT! 14-year-old him wants it and he’s still with him, and that’s why he’s going to take the world title.

Enter Kevin Owens, carrying his purloined winged eagle WWE Championship.

Sami says he knew it was only a matter of time and asks Kevin how he wants to do this. Owens is confused and Zayn says the whole world saw what he did to Cody Rhodes, so how is this gonna go down? KO admits he didn’t understand Sami with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series but then he thought about it and he realized it was different.

Sami and Roman have a lot of history, much like they do, and Zayn has overlooked a lot of things Reigns has done to him, same as he’s forgiven Owens for similar trespasses. That’s what Sami does, because he’s a good person. And Seth is right, Zayn does a lot for his friends, and that’s why he’s here as his very best friend.

He believes that Sami Zayn can and will win the Royal Rumble, because he deserves to win the Royal Rumble and go on to fight for the WWE Championship. And then they can accomplish one more thing together, to accomplish what they dreamed of 25 years ago. They won the tag titles in the main event of WrestleMania, and now they can do it one-on-one for the title.

And he knows Zayn will win the Royal Rumble because he has his back, and he knows that he’s going to walk out as WWE Champion, because he knows Sami will have his back, because he’s his best friend and his brother and if he needs him he’ll be there.

    Sheamus is interviewed backstage.

He says some people would say he has the perfect WWE career backwards, because he beat John Cena about six months in, but the Intercontinental Championship is the first title that drew him to WWE as a kid and he’s been obsessed with it for the last five years, but now the stars are aligned and he’s going to fulfill his destiny.

Bron Breakker rolls up and tells Sheamus to look at the title. He says this is as close as he’ll ever get to the title, because on Saturday he’s going to breakk him like an old man, so do a favor and retire.

Sheamus does not, in fact, retire, and instead shoves Bron away.

Bayley and Nia Jax are show walking backstage separately to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get a memorial graphic for WWE Hall of Famer Bob Uecker.

    Bayley vs. Nia Jax

Jax immediately hossing her up, around, Bayley counters into a DDT! Off the ropes, Nia with a huge headbutt, cover for one! Back suplex gets the Role Model another nearfall, Jax fires back with a Rock Bottom and goes up top, but Bayley climbs to cut her off! Kicks send Nia to the floor, Bayley dives on her and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Jax gets a nearfall off a Samoan drop, Bayley a nearfall of her own in return, to the floor, sunset flip puts Nia into the post and leaves her insensate on the floor while referee Danilo Anfibio counts! She beats the count, Bayley hits a Banzai Drop for two, follows it with a diving elbow, still not enough!

Nia with a shoulderbreaker and she follows it up with a corner body avalanche! Bayley sidesteps her through the ropes, Jax cuts her off with an elbow and posts her hard by the shoulder! Nia up top, Bayley trips her up, Knee Trembler… NOPE! Jockeying for position in the turnbuckles… BAYLEY HITS THE SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB BUT JAX KICKS OUT!

Role Model off the top… ELBOW DROP ISN’T ENOUGH! Bayley with a chop block, Nia with a Samoan drop and a senton, dragging her into the corner…

Nia Jax wins by pinfall with the Banzai Drop.

  • Whitney Cummings Says Drew Barrymore Helped Her with Postpartum Depression

Whitney Cummings is feeling grateful for how her friend Drew Barrymore helped her through a tough time.

On the Thursday, Jan. 16 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Cummings shared that she was in “deep throes of postpartum depression,” when she was offered to appear on the revival game show Hollywood Squares alongside Barrymore.

However, after finding out Barrymore was involved with the show, Cummings decided to go through with the episode, which she said “snapped me out of it” and “really helped me a lot.”

“I needed to see other moms, like working and having fun, and that was a big healing moment for me,” Cummings shared. “I think I was just putting so much pressure on myself and that really helped me just like release it.”

Cummings, who welcomed her son in December 2023, said that Barrymore made her feel “safe.”

“I knew that even if I did suck, we’d make it funny and we’d figure it out,” she said. “Then, I was safe enough to be able to just feel like, ‘You can do this, and if you can’t do this, that’s also fine.”

Cummings said that moment helped her realize the pressure she was putting on herself was the thing that was blocking her.

“I realized how much I defined myself through my ability to make people laugh or be smart or say the thing in the moment or remember the thing the fastest, and my brain was not working,” Cummings admitted. “I was so scared.”

Barrymore, who’s a mother to daughters Olive and Frankie, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman, also opened up about her postpartum experience. She said that she felt “isolated” and “didn’t know what was happening with me chemically.”

“I felt so confused in the most profound and beautiful ways after I had my kids,” Barrymore shared. “I didn’t know who I was supposed to be, and so I didn’t know how to work. I felt like I didn’t necessarily relate to my friends the same way anymore.”

The Blended actress first struggled with postpartum depression when she had her younger daughter, Frankie, in 2014.

“It was just really challenging and I felt overwhelmed,” the actress told PEOPLE in a 2015 interview. “I made a lot of decisions and I definitely changed my work life to suit my parenthood.”

Whitney Cummings recently opened up about her battle with postpartum depression and how actress Drew Barrymore helped her through it. In a heartfelt post on social media, Cummings shared that Barrymore was there for her during some of her darkest days.

Cummings, who welcomed her first child earlier this year, has been candid about her struggles with postpartum depression and anxiety. In her post, she expressed gratitude for Barrymore’s support and kindness during this difficult time.

“I’m so grateful to have someone like Drew in my corner,” Cummings wrote. “She has been a constant source of love and encouragement, and I don’t know where I would be without her.”

Barrymore, who has been open about her own experiences with postpartum depression, has been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and support. Cummings’ post is a testament to the power of friendship and the importance of reaching out for help during challenging times.

The post has received an outpouring of support from fans and followers, with many commending Cummings for her honesty and vulnerability. It serves as a reminder that no one is alone in their struggles, and that there is always help and hope available.

In sharing her story, Cummings is helping to break the stigma surrounding postpartum depression and encouraging others to seek help when they need it. Her message is a powerful reminder that it’s okay to not be okay, and that there is strength in reaching out for support.
