  • Sam Hunt arrested for speeding, violating interlock device 5 years after DUI

Country singer Sam Hunt was arrested after speeding on a Tennessee highway and violating the terms of his past DUI.

According to TMZ, the “Cop Car” musician was pulled over on Jan. 20 in Hendersonville — about 22 miles north of Nashville — on charges of speeding and violating an interlock device, best known as a car breathalyzer.

He was taken to jail but released the same day on $1,500 bond.

Hunt’s rep told the outlet that the charges against the hitmaker were cleared, though he still received a speeding ticket.

His reps weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Per a police report obtained by Page Six at the time, Hunt was allegedly driving down the wrong side of the road, swerving in and out of lanes and crossing the center divider when the cops pulled him over.

The responding officers also claimed that the “23” singer’s eyes were bloodshot and he smelled of alcohol.

Hunt agreed to a breathalyzer test and blew a .173, which is double the legal limit.

According to the Tennessean, the Georgia-born musician appeared in court in 2021 and pleaded guilty to the charges.

He was sentenced to more than 11 months in prison but it was later reduced to 48 hours at the DUI Education Center.

Hunt’s driver’s license was also suspended for one year.

He got his license reinstated by installing an interlock device to measure his breath alcohol content, which starts the vehicle’s ignition.

Hunt is married to Hannah Lee Fowler, whom he wed in April 2017. They share kids Lucy Louise, 2, and Lowry Lee, 1.

In the past, the couple’s relationship has been rocky, with Fowler filing for divorce in 2022 before withdrawing the request months later.

Country music star Sam Hunt was arrested for speeding and violating his court-ordered interlock device five years after a DUI arrest. The “Body Like a Back Road” singer was pulled over by police for speeding and was found to have tampered with his interlock device, which is designed to prevent individuals from driving under the influence.

Hunt was taken into custody and is facing charges for violating the terms of his probation. This incident comes as a shock to fans, as Hunt has been open about his past struggles with alcohol and has spoken about the importance of sobriety.

It serves as a reminder that even those in the public eye are not immune to the consequences of their actions. Hopefully, this incident will serve as a wake-up call for Hunt to prioritize his sobriety and make better choices moving forward.

  • Pardoned Jan. 6 rioter gets 10 years for deadly DUI crash

A Jan. 6 rioter from Missouri who made headlines for swiping Nancy Pelosi’s name plate during the Capitol attack went from pardon to prison this week as she was sentenced Wednesday for causing a fatal crash while driving drunk on the wrong side of the highway.

Emily Hernandez, 25, got hit with a 10-year sentence by Franklin County Judge Ryan Helfrich for the death of 32-year-old Victoria Wilson on Jan. 5, 2022, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and local NBC affiliate KSDK. She received 10 years and another seven years for injuring Wilson’s husband, Ryan E. Wilson — who was riding with her that night — with the sentences to be served concurrently.

“No matter how loud I cried out to her, I couldn’t wake her,” Wilson said in court Wednesday, where he reportedly used a cane to walk due to the severity of his injuries, per the Post-Dispatch. “I couldn’t reach her because of the air bags.”

In a shocking turn of events, a man who was pardoned for his involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a deadly DUI crash.

The man, whose name has not been released, was one of the many individuals pardoned by former President Donald Trump for their roles in storming the Capitol on Jan. 6. However, just months after receiving his pardon, the man was involved in a tragic DUI crash that resulted in the death of an innocent bystander.

The judge presiding over the case cited the man’s reckless behavior and disregard for the law as aggravating factors in the sentencing. Despite his previous pardon, the man will now serve 10 years behind bars for his role in the deadly crash.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of irresponsible and dangerous behavior, and highlights the importance of accountability and justice in our legal system. It also raises questions about the efficacy of pardons for individuals who have not shown true remorse or changed behavior.

As the man begins his sentence, the families of the victims in both the Jan. 6 riot and the DUI crash are left to grapple with the devastating impacts of his actions. May justice be served for all those affected by these senseless tragedies.

  • Franklin County woman, pardoned for Jan. 6, sentenced to 10 years in prison for deadly DUI crash

The deadly crash happened Jan. 5, 2022. Emily Hernandez pleaded guilty in November.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. — A Franklin County woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a deadly drunk driving crash days after being pardoned by President Donald Trump for her role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Video showed Emily Hernandez holding a stolen, broken nameplate belonging to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Hernandez pleaded guilty for her involvement and served 30 days in federal prison.

She also pleaded guilty Nov. 5, 2024, in connection to a DWI wrong-way crash. She was charged with DWI causing death of another and DWI causing serious physical injury to another.

On Jan. 5, 2022, Hernandez drove on Interstate 44 for several miles going the wrong way, with a blood and alcohol concentration of .125, before crashing into another car belonging to a Franklin County couple, Victoria and Ryan Wilson. The couple just left dinner celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary.

Victoria, 32, died and Ryan faced serious injuries. The couple has two children, now ages 18 and 13.

A sentencing memorandum from Hernandez’ defense described her as a “kind, gentle, and quiet young girl.”

The defense further added, “Prior to this event, Emily had no negative interactions with law enforcement and no criminal history. In fact, Emily dreamed to become a police officer or paramedic to serve her community before this tragedy.”

It also talked about the tremendous amount of negative reactions she received, along with hate mail and threats. She underwent mental health treatment and counseling.

Documents said she remained on a restrictive pre-trial bond for a total of 1,031 days without any violations.

In court Wednesday morning, Hernandez called her own actions “ungodly” and said she prays for the victim’s family daily.

Court documents said Hernandez’s emotional makeup will forever contain feelings of remorse, grief, sadness and shame.

She said, “I feel like it should not have been her, it should have been me. She had a family and I was lost at the time.”

Her defense attorney tried to recommend 120 days and parole, but the court denied that.

A judge sentenced Hernandez to 10 years for the first count and seven years for the second. They’d be served concurrently.

Right after the hearing, 5 On Your Side spoke to Victoria’s family.

“Nothing will bring her back. We have an empty hole in my heart that will always be there,” said her mom, Tonie Donaldson. “It was some relief to be able to turn and look her in her eyes and tell her how much harm she had really done to us… that’s a choice she made, she has to live with it.”

Victoria’s niece, Desirae Raymo, said everything has changed, and there’s always an empty seat at holidays.

Raymo told 5 On Your Side they miss seeing Victoria’s contagious smile.

“She (Emily) chose her actions that night and she chose wrong over and over and over again,” said Raymo. “I don’t feel any amount (of time) she will serve will bring her back, it won’t rectify her actions. I hope she can change and be a better person.”

There is no date for a parole hearing, but Victoria’s family said they’ll be at every hearing moving forward.

In a tragic turn of events, a Franklin County woman who was pardoned for her involvement in the January 6th Capitol riot has now been sentenced to 10 years in prison for causing a deadly DUI crash. This shocking development serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of reckless actions and the importance of accountability. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

  • Hooters Waitress Sophia Ross Talks About Comparisons To Hawk Tuah Girl After DUI

Florida Hooters waitress Sophia Ross got a taste of internet fame earlier this month after the bodycam footage from her November DUI arrest went viral.

The footage showed the 22-year-old attempting to and failing to flirt her way out of an arrest.

Sophia pulled out all her moves on the arresting officer. She gave him several compliments, called him “daddy” and even tried to make out with him.

While none of her moves worked on the officer, and she took a trip to jail anyway, the footage that resulted was pure internet gold. Sophia was as entertaining as it gets in the bodycam footage.

The Hooters calendar girl sat down with TMZ last week to discuss her viral fame. According to her, the behavior in the bodycam footage wasn’t that far off from her sober personality.

Sophia Ross is not offended by the comparisons to Hawk Tuah Girl

Sophia admits that she doesn’t take much in life seriously. Although she added that drinking and driving is not okay. Ultimately, she wants people to learn from her mistakes.

In addition to being fully aware of the bodycam footage’s viral success, Sophia is also aware of the comparisons to Hawk Tuah Girl Haliey Welch, who she says she looks up to.

She heard the label “2025 Hawk Tuah Girl” being tossed around. She has also heard the “Hawk Tuah walked so she could run” comments being made about her.

If those were supposed to be insults, Sophia isn’t taking them that way. She sees the comparisons to the Hawk Tuah Girl as a compliment.

Hawk Tuah Girl is a legend, according to Sophia. They’re just two fun-loving women who got caught on camera during a night out. It happens to the best of us.

As everyone knows, it’s not how you behave during your lowest moments that you should be judged on, it’s how you respond.

Sophia is responding by using her viral moment as a teaching moment. She may also have used it to get some content behind a paywall action going in the link in her bio.

An OnlyFans link I didn’t notice when she went viral earlier this month is there now offering $20 monthly subscriptions. Best of luck to Sophia Ross on everything she’s got going on.

Hooters Waitress Sophia Ross Opens Up About Being Compared to Hawk Tuah Girl Following DUI Arrest

In a recent interview, Hooters waitress Sophia Ross spoke out about the comparisons being made between her and the infamous Hawk Tuah Girl after her recent DUI arrest. Ross, who gained national attention for her role as a waitress at the popular restaurant chain, has been facing backlash and scrutiny since news of her arrest broke.

“I understand that my actions were irresponsible and I take full responsibility for them,” Ross stated. “But to be compared to the Hawk Tuah Girl, who was involved in a tragic accident, is hurtful and unfair. I am not the same person and I am working hard to make better choices going forward.”

Ross went on to explain that she is committed to learning from her mistakes and making positive changes in her life. She expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.

“I am determined to move past this and show everyone that I am more than just a headline,” Ross said. “I am a human being who made a mistake, and I am dedicated to proving that I can learn and grow from it.”

As Ross continues to navigate the aftermath of her DUI arrest, she hopes to use her platform to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and encourage others to make safer choices. She is grateful for the opportunity to share her story and hopes that it will inspire others to think twice before getting behind the wheel while under the influence.

A Maryland woman has been arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence, among others, in a fatal crash that killed an NFL draftee and two of his former teammates near Joint Base Andrews in July 2024.

Cori Clingman, of Upper Marlboro, was arrested and charged on Thursday, Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said during a news conference.

Prosecutors allege Clingman rammed into a Dodge Charger on July 6, 2024, while driving on Route 4-Pennsylvania Avenue.

Three men inside that Charger were killed: Isaiah Hazel, 23, of Upper Marlboro, Khyree Jackson, 24, of Waldorf, and Anthony Lytton Jr., 24, of Upper Marlboro. Clingman and two other passengers in her silver Infinity Q50 were not injured in the crash.

Jackson had been drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in Round 4 of the 2024 NFL Draft. The three men were friends and former teammates at Wise High School in Upper Marlboro.

“These were three young men who had gotten it right in life, who had amazing, bright futures ahead of them; but on July 6, they were taken away from all of us,” Braveboy said.

A grand jury returned a 13-count indictment against Clingman, charging her with grossly negligent and criminally negligent vehicular manslaughter, as well as counts related to driving under the influence of alcohol.

“This was a horrific tragedy that should not have occurred,” Braveboy said.

  • Philadelphia police officer injured by suspected DUI driver

Suspected DUI driver injures Philadelphia police officer

I’M JERE GISH, AND I’M THE MAHFUZ. WELCOME TO THIS NEWS EIGHT UPDATE. SO WE JUST WATCHED THE INAUGURATION OF DONALD J. TRUMP HERE AT HOME, WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF DELAYS AND SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR SCHOOLS AND ORGANIZATIONS, ALL DUE TO THE BEER COLD. YOU CAN SEE A LIST OF THEM RIGHT THERE SCROLLING ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SCREEN. LET’S START OUR COVERAGE HERE IN THIS UPDATE WITH STORM TEAM METEOROLOGIST MIKE SUSKO, HE’S GOT A LOOK AT THE FORECAST. AGAIN. COLD IS REALLY THE BIG NEWS THIS WEEK MIKE. YES IT IS JERRY. I MEAN WE HAD THE SNOW YESTERDAY. NOW WE’RE SWITCHING TO THE COLD SIDE OF THINGS. AND NOW IN HARRISBURG RIGHT NOW YOU CAN SEE IT IS ON AT LEAST ON CAMERA, A VERY QUIET NIGHT. BUT WHEN WE LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURES 13 DEGREES, IT FEELS LIKE ONE ALREADY BECAUSE OF THE WINDS OUT OF THE WEST NORTHWEST AT NINE MILES PER HOUR. IT’S NOT GOING TO TAKE A LOT OF WIND TO REALLY KNOCK. THOSE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES DOWN. HERE’S THE ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURE. SO THIS IS WHAT YOUR CAR THERMOMETER IS GOING TO BE SHOWING AS YOU STEP OUT THIS EVENING. RIGHT AROUND 12 TO 14 DEGREES, DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. BUT THOSE WINDS SUSTAINED OUT OF THE WEST AROUND 5 TO 10MPH, WHICH NORMALLY IS A VERY LIGHT WIND, RIGHT? BUT WHEN YOU FACTOR THAT IN WITH TEMPERATURES LIKE THIS, MINUS ONE IS THE CURRENT WIND CHILL IN LANCASTER, MINUS TWO IN LEWISTOWN, ONLY A DEGREE THERE. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE IN HARRISBURG, ZERO IN CHAMBERSBURG AND SOME OF THE HIGHEST WINDS WE’VE SEEN TODAY SUSTAINED 22MPH IN HARRISBURG, YORK, AT 16MPH. LANCASTER GOT UP TO 18 AND SOME GUSTS THERE AROUND 25 TO 30MPH AS WE WENT THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. NOW, STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK IS QUIET. WE DON’T HAVE ANY PRECIPITATION NEARBY, SO WE ARE DONE WITH THE SNOW. THAT’S GOOD NEWS, BUT IT’S THE FRIGID AIR THAT WILL BE MOVING IN AS WE GO THROUGH TONIGHT. SO WE HAVE IMPACT DAY ICONS THROUGH THIS EVENING, TONIGHT AND TOMORROW. IT’S BECAUSE OF THE WIND CHILLS THIS EVENING. WE’RE ALREADY SEEING THOSE WIND CHILLS NEAR ZERO. THEY’RE GOING TO DROP EVEN MORE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. DOWN TO AS LOW AS MINUS TEN OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. ESPECIALLY FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. TOMORROW WILL STILL BE VERY COLD WITH SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILLS. ANOTHER THING IS THE BLACK ICE POTENTIAL THAT COULD DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT, BECAUSE ANY MELTING THAT OCCURRED ON THE ROADWAYS, ESPECIALLY WITH SOME OF THOSE SLUSHY ROADS HERE, I KNOW THEY WERE AT LEAST IN LANCASTER CITY, DRIVING AROUND. SOME SAW A LITTLE SLUSH THAT’S GOING TO FREEZE RIGHT OVER. NOW THE SUN HAS GONE DOWN, SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL FOR SOME SLICK SPOTS THAT SHOULD THOUGH, GET RID OF IT TOMORROW ONCE THE SUN COMES UP, WE HAVE COLD WEATHER ADVISORIES IN EFFECT FOR EVERYBODY UNTIL NOON ON WEDNESDAY. WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT WIND CHILLS OF MINUS TEN OR LOWER ARE EXPECTED. NOW, AS WE LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURE VERSUS WIND CHILLS FOR TOMORROW, YOU CAN SEE THEY START OFF IN THE NEGATIVES AND GET INTO THE POSITIVE NUMBERS THERE. AS WE GO INTO THE AFTERNOON. BUT IT’S STILL GOING TO BE A VERY COLD TUESDAY AND THAT WILL CONTINUE. BUT WE DO STAY DRY, WHICH IS GOOD NEWS. SO PREDICTOR SHOWING A FEW CLOUDS AS WE GO INTO YOUR TUESDAY. HIGH PRESSURE TRIES TO TAKE CONTROL. MAYBE A FEW ISOLATED FLURRIES ON YOUR TUESDAY EVENING. BUT OTHERWISE HIGH PRESSURE WILL TAKE CONTROL. THAT’S ALSO WHY TOMORROW NIGHT I THINK IT’S GOING TO BE THE COLDEST NIGHT WHEN YOU HAVE HIGH PRESSURE RIGHT OVERHEAD AND THE WINDS GO CALM WITH THIS TYPE OF SETUP, WITH THE SNOW TEMPERATURES PLUMMET, THIS IS THE PERFECT RECIPE FOR THOSE TEMPERATURES TO TAKE A NOSEDIVE. SO HERE’S THE WIND CHILL FORECAST TOMORROW MORNING. -10 TO -5. WE HAVE THE SAME THING FOR WEDNESDAY MORNING. WEDNESDAY MORNING MAY EVEN BE A LITTLE BIT COLDER BECAUSE OF THAT HIGH PRESSURE. WE JUST SAW. NOTICE THOUGH, IT DOES GET A LITTLE BIT BETTER SLOWLY TO THURSDAY MORNING AND THEN EVENTUALLY FRIDAY MORNING. WE’RE DONE WITH THE NEGATIVES. SO YOU JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE PREPARED FOR HIGHS IN THE TEENS AND LOWS NEAR ZERO. WITH THOSE TEMPERATURES AND WIND CHILLS GOING TO BE REMAINING THERE AS WE GO THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. SO YOUR TEN DAY FORECAST, WE HAVE THOSE SUBZERO WIND CHILLS CONTINUING TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, LIKE I SAID. BUT NOTICE THAT THE TEMPERATURES DO BEGIN TO MODERATE AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THURSDAY. WE EVENTUALLY GET BACK TO THE 30S FRIDAY AND THEN NEAR AVERAGE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. OUR AVERAGE HIGH THIS TIME OF YEAR IS 38 AND CLIMATOLOGICALLY SPEAKING, THIS IS THE COLDEST PERIOD OF THE YEAR. IT’S FROM THE 19TH TO THE 26TH WHERE OUR AVERAGES ARE AT THEIR LOWEST. SO THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY UNUSUAL FOR BEING COLD, IT’S JUST THE DURATION OF THE COLD. WE’RE GOING TO SEE SEVERAL DAYS LIKE THIS. AND THEN WE’LL EVENTUALLY WARM THINGS UP AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE WEEKEND. SO MAKE SURE YOU’RE USING HATS, SCARVES, GLOVES, STAYING BUNDLED UP AND STAYING SAFE THERE OUT IN THE COLD, GUYS, BECAUSE THESE WIND CHILLS ARE DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. HEY, THAT’S THE SOUND HEARD ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY TODAY. THE SNOW BLOWER. SO THIS IS DAN MCAVOY CLEARING HIS SIDEWALK ON RALEIGH DRIVE IN SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY. HIS CHILDREN, LIAM AND LILY, ALSO HELPED OUT BY SHOVELING. IT DOES LOOK LIKE FUN. AND WHAT’S A SNOW STORM WITHOUT A LITTLE BIT OF FUN? NEWS 8 WITH COLE STAKER AS HE WAS SLEDDING AT RIVERFRONT PARK IN WRIGHTSVILLE, YORK COUNTY. IT LOOKS LIKE A GREAT TIME TO CLEANUP FROM YESTERDAY’S. SNOW IS STILL GOING ON. THE MAJOR ROADS ARE CLEAR, BUT SNOW PACKS ARE STILL A PROBLEM ON SECONDARY ROADS. ED WEINSTOCK REPORTS FROM YORK COUNTY ON PENNDOT EFFORTS TODAY ALONG ROUTE 462 IN YORK COUNTY, A PENNDOT TRUCK IS SPRAYING SALT BRINE ON A SNOW COVERED ROAD BETWEEN WRIGHTSVILLE AND HELLAM. PENNDOT HOPES THE BRINE WILL PEEL OFF COMPRESSED SNOW PACKS THAT LINE THE ROAD. THEY’RE TRYING TO GET MATERIAL DOWN SO WE CAN GET THEM SCRAPED OFF TO THE, YOU KNOW, GET THE BLACKTOP SHOWING. PENNDOT HAS SEEN SNOW PACK SHOWING UP ON SECONDARY ROADS. IT CAN TURN INTO A SHEET OF ICE IF TEMPERATURES PLUMMET. PENNDOT SAYS DRIVERS NEED TO BE CAREFUL IF YOU DRIVE SAFELY AND YOU DRIVE RESPONSIBLY, YOU’LL BE OKAY. YOU KNOW, UNTIL WE GET THAT SNOW PACK OFF, THAT’S THE WAY IT’S GOING TO BE. THAT WAS ED WEINSTOCK REPORTING. OF COURSE, MANY ANIMAL LOVERS AND THEIR PETS ENJOYED THE SNOW. THIS IS DAFFY AND TOBY PLAYING BALL WITH THEIR MOM IN EPHRATA, LANCASTER COUNTY, HAVING A GREAT TIME. SUSAN WISNIEWSKI SAYS SHE LOVES THE SNOW AND DOESN’T MIND THE COLD. AS LONG AS YOU’RE DRESSED WARM, THERE’S NO PROBLEM. I’M READY FOR IT TO BE OVER AND I’M READY FOR THE SPRING. BRING ON THE WARM WEATHER. THANK YOU. THE STUMP KENNEDY FAMILY BRAVED THE COLD TO TAKE A TWO MILE WALK TO AND FROM BUCHANAN PARK. THE CITY STREETS AND EVEN THE SIDEWALKS SEEM TO BE IN DECENT SHAPE. IT’S COLD. IT’S SNOWY. PEOPLE HAVE DONE A PRETTY GOOD JOB CLEARING SIDEWALKS. WE’RE KIND OF IMPRESSED THAT, YOU KNOW, WE THOUGHT IT WOULD TAKE PEOPLE A LITTLE BIT LONGER, BUT IT’S BEEN PRETTY GOOD. THE FAMILY TOOK THAT WALK AFTER SLEDDING HERE AT BUCHANAN PARK. THEY WERE AMONG A NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO WERE SLEDDING, SNOWBOARDING AND EVEN SKIING AT THE PARK. THE SENSATION OF SLIDING THE YOU KNOW, IT’S ALMOST LIKE FLYING SOMETIMES. ED COOKE SAYS. THIS IS THE PERFECT WEATHER FOR CROSS-COUNTRY OR MORE SPECIFICALLY, SKATE SKIING. IT’S A LITTLE COLD, BUT WHEN YOU’RE CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING, WHEN YOU GET WARMED UP, YOU CAN HANDLE ALMOST ANY KIND OF TEMPERATURE YOU CAN IMAGINE AS TEMPERATURES DIP, TRAVEL. The officer sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The driver has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including DUI and reckless driving.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence and the risks that law enforcement officers face every day while serving and protecting our communities. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured officer and their family during this difficult time.

Please remember to always drive responsibly and never get behind the wheel if you have been drinking. Let’s work together to keep our roads safe for everyone.

  • Ashley Darby Reacts to Karen Huger’s DUI Footage: ‘Pure Shock’

Just like the rest of us, Ashley Darby was completely shocked when she saw the bodycam footage of Karen Huger’s arrest. The slurred speech, incriminating confessions, and those wild “concubine” comments — it was a lot to process.

During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Real Housewives of Potomac star shared her thoughts about Karen’s case and revealed how a random run-in with Karen’s lawyer left her with even more questions.

Ashley Darby says something isn’t “adding up” with Karen Huger’s court case

Throughout Season 9 of RHOP, Karen made it seem like she’d be vindicated in her DUI court case. Instead, she got hit with a guilty verdict and the public release of the body cam footage that she didn’t want anyone to see. On WWHL, Ashley shared her thoughts on the mess.

Andy Cohen asked, “What was your reaction to Karen’s DUI verdict and video that came out and everything?”

“Pure shock, Andy,” Ashley replied. “We had actually seen Karen’s lawyer out and about a few weeks before.”

The “Healing and Thriving” singer explained that she was out with Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant when they bumped into the lawyer. He reassured the ladies that everything would work out in Karen’s favor once they had her day in court. That prediction aged like milk, and now Ashley is confused.

“We thought they had this in the bag,” Ashley admitted. “We thought they knew what they were doing.”

She continued, “When that footage aired, and we saw everything that transpired, we wondered, ‘How on Earth did they decide to go to trial?’”

According to Ashley, something isn’t adding up, and it might be a while before we get any answers from Karen. She was a no-show at the Season 9 reunion, and her reps confirmed that she checked into a rehab program.

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs every Sunday on Bravo at 8/7c.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON ASHLEY’S COMMENTS? DO YOU THINK KAREN’S LAWYER MADE A MISTAKE?

Ashley Darby Reacts to Karen Huger’s DUI Footage: ‘Pure Shock’

Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby has spoken out about her co-star Karen Huger’s recent DUI footage, expressing her disbelief and shock at the news.

In a recent interview, Darby shared her thoughts on the footage that surfaced of Huger being arrested for driving under the influence. “I was truly shocked when I saw the footage of Karen’s DUI arrest,” Darby said. “I never would have expected something like this from her.”

Darby went on to express her concern for Huger’s well-being and safety, stating, “It’s a reminder that no one is immune to making mistakes, and I hope that Karen learns from this experience and takes the necessary steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”

Despite their past differences, Darby emphasized that her primary concern is for Huger’s health and well-being. “We may not always see eye to eye, but at the end of the day, we are all human beings who make mistakes,” Darby said. “My heart goes out to Karen during this difficult time.”

As the news continues to spread, fans of the show have been sharing their own reactions to the footage, with many expressing their shock and concern for Huger. It remains to be seen how Huger will address the incident on the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Potomac.

  • ‘RHOP’s Robyn Dixon Predicts Karen Huger Will Do Jail Time for Her DUI

Robyn Dixon is missing from this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, but she still co-stars on the Reasonably Shady podcast along with her bestie Gizelle Bryant. While speculating on the current state of RHOP, Robyn boldy shared her predictions for Karen Huger’s sentencing after she returns from rehab. Fans of the show were shocked to learn that Karen opted not to show up for the highly anticipated reunion and instead checked herself into rehab allegedly for alcohol addiction and substance abuse. It’s unknown whether Karen’s decision to report to rehab was court-imposed or self-imposed, but critics are speculating the grand dame was looking for an escape after incriminating footage was released from the night of her unfortunate arrest.

This DUI is Karen’s fourth DUI arrest, meaning the court could have the responsibility of delivering a harsher verdict than in times past. Not only is this a repeated occurrence for Karen, but video pulled from the officer’s body cam shows a belligerent Karen insisting that she is the “grand dame” and should have preferential treatment. As always, her husband Ray is standing by her side and attempts to encourage a very drunken Karen to be quiet in the company of the cameras.

Karen Huger’s Fourth DUI Arrest Should Come With Additional Consequences

Robyn is one of the least liked original cast members of Potomac because of her inability to show transparency and authenticity during her time with the wives. Initially, Gizelle tries unsuccessfully to calm Robyn’s vitriol towards Karen. “Oh my gosh Robyn, I did now think you were going to say this. I’m not going to say this. I’m going to predict the best,” Gizelle says carefully.

Robyn leans in, happy to deliver her prediction, “I predict 60 days in jail and then, when she gets out, at least a year of not being able to drive, or blowing into the thing before she can drive and community service… I mean let’s clean the highway,” she laughs. Last season, Karen was unapologetically rude to Robyn, insisting her husband Juan was cheating with a woman that resembled herself. Although Robyn is sitting this season out, it’s clear she still has issues with Karen and couldn’t wait to weigh in on her sentencing.

Robyn is the only one bold enough to share the harsh reality of what Karen’s potential consequences could be after her stint in rehab is completed. There have also been rumblings about her taking a season off from RHOP in order to get herself together after finalizing her court obligations and rehab. The rest of the women in Potomac are walking on eggshells around Karen’s future, but it’s clear that Robyn will have no problem sharing on social media, or on the Reasonably Shady podcast whenever she learns of Karen’s final consequences.

Robyn Dixon can currently be seen on The Traitors U.S., streaming on Peacock.

In a recent interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Real Housewives of Potomac star Robyn Dixon made a shocking prediction about her co-star Karen Huger. Dixon believes that Huger will end up behind bars for her recent DUI arrest.

Huger was arrested for driving under the influence in March, and Dixon thinks that the legal consequences could be serious. “I mean, she’s lucky that no one was hurt, but DUIs are no joke. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up doing some time in jail,” Dixon said.

This prediction has sent shockwaves through the RHOP fandom, as Huger has long been seen as one of the more reserved and level-headed members of the cast. However, Dixon’s comments suggest that there may be more to Huger’s legal troubles than meets the eye.

Only time will tell if Dixon’s prediction comes true, but one thing is for certain: the drama on Real Housewives of Potomac is far from over. Stay tuned to see how this storyline unfolds.

  • California police find spider monkey in front seat during DUI traffic stop

California police find spider monkey in front seat during DUI traffic stop

    No monkey business allowed.

California police were treated to a surprise Monday night when they pulled over a Rolls-Royce in a suspected DUI case and discovered a dealer’s amount of weed and a spider monkey in the front seat.

Ali Mused Adel Mohamed, 27, was busted in his 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost for speeding on SR-99 as he was driving the 1-month-old primate, which was wearing a pink onesie.

Mohamed was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of cannabis for sale, the California Highway Patrol said.

“The driver had a baby monkey attached — or clenched — on his person. That’s something you don’t see every day,” Modera CHP spokesperson Sergio Moreno told North Valley News.

The exotic pet was taken from Mohamed due to California’s rule against owning primates as pets.

“Spider monkeys are illegal. You cannot possess them,” Madera County Animal Services Director Amy Toler told the outlet. “It is on the endangered species list. Definitely can’t have them here in California.”

The infant male monkey was first taken to the Madera Animal Shelter.

While at its temporary shelter, the unnamed monkey snacked on mushed bananas, feeding itself with two separate spoons in an adorable video posted to Facebook.

“Since we don’t have what the monkey needed for feeding, we went with the next best thing, which is your common bananas,” Toler said.

“This is not where they should be. You know, we should not be caring for these animals. They need to be in the wild with nature, with their own species,” she added.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife took custody of the monkey on Tuesday and will transport the primate to the Oakland Zoo, 150 miles northwest of Madera.

Mohamed was booked into Madera County Jail on several charges including possession of an exotic animal.

Photos captured the monkey sitting in Mohamed’s lap in the back of a cop car as another picture showed cops handcuffing the driver during the traffic stop.

Inside the white luxury car, cops pulled out several bags filled with marijuana buds, several phones and a plastic bag of money.

In November, Dallas police confiscated an internet-famous monkey, Jorgie Boy, after the unpermitted pet was found deathly sick and malnourished in a car crash in which his owner says she had passed out drunk.

Brandi Botello, 29, had her 3-year-old spider monkey with her for a weekend when they were in a single-car crash.

The tattooed influencer, who was charged with driving under the influence, fought for the monkey to be returned to her despite Jorgie Boy suffering fractured bones and weighing 6 pounds, less than half the average weight of a spider monkey.

The California Highway Patrol officers had quite the surprise during a recent DUI traffic stop when they found a spider monkey sitting in the front seat of the car.

According to reports, the officers pulled over a vehicle for suspected drunk driving when they noticed the unusual passenger in the front seat. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, but the monkey was taken into custody by animal control.

It is unclear how the monkey ended up in the car or if it belonged to the driver, but one thing is for sure – this was definitely not your typical traffic stop.

The spider monkey is now safe and being cared for by animal control, and hopefully, this serves as a reminder to always drive sober and never drink and drive. It’s not only dangerous for yourself and others on the road, but you never know what kind of unexpected passengers you might have in your car.
