Fans melted when the older man chose to spend his 79th birthday basking in his son’s massive success. And, according to Riley’s frequent collaborator, Ella Langley, no one is beating Kevon Green when it comes to pickup lines, either.
Kevon Green’s Pickup Lines Are “A Work of Art”
Last summer, Ella Langley and Riley Green launched a thousand pickup lines with “You Look Like You Love Me,” a winsome, winking nod to love at first sight (or something like that.)
When you pen a chart-topping song about falling in love with someone from across the room, it stands to reason that people will want to share their best come-ons with you. And while some are better than others, Langley says no one is beating Kevon Green.
“He gets the best pickup lines I’ve ever heard in my life,” Langley said during a recent appearance on the God’s Country podcast. “He’s like, off the cuff. I mean, it’s incredible. It is a work of art, honestly.”
Well, it looks like the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree in this case. Kevon and Riley Green seem to have an ultra-close relationship, as Riley frequently shouts out Kevon on social media. In fact, one of the first purchases he made after his music career took off was a brand-new truck for his dad.
“Nothing I bought myself stands out like as being able to hand him the keys to a nice truck, you know?” Riley told AL.com last February. “He always had an old beat-up truck, so it was cool to be able to take care of him.”
After a bombshell year that saw the release of her debut album Hungover, Ella Langley is still going strong. In November, the Hope Hull, Alabama-born artist released a deluxe version of her debut, Still Hungover, which included the single “Weren’t For the Wind.”
Next week, Langley will hit the road for her Still Hungover tour, kicking off Jan. 23 in Oklahoma City. And if you were looking for tickets, best of luck.

Langley was a recent guest on the God’s Country podcast, where she got to talking about her song and all of the random pickup lines she has heard from men over the years.
Langley says there’s one man in country music who spouts the best pickup lines ever.
“The best pickup lines I’ve ever heard is from Riley’s dad. He gives the best pickup lines I’ve ever heard in my life,” she reveals.
The podcast hosts, Dan and Reid Isbell, agreed and also asked Langley, “He, like, makes them up, right?”
Langley confirmed, saying, “Oh yeah, he makes them up, he’s like off the cuff and it’s incredible. It is a work of art, honestly.”
Green has posted about his pops before, sharing a lot of shirtless pictures of him. Apparently, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree on that one, as Green is now an underwear model and often appears shirtless.
People have already run through every rumor in the rumor mill about Langley possibly dating Green. The two have said multiple times that they are just friends who made some music together.
However, it turns out that Riley is not the only Green out there making the ladies giggle.

His 24-year-old musician daughter took to social media to share a look at just how the Travoltas do Christmas, which is just as magical and traditional as you’d expect it to be.
She first shared a photo of the family’s beautiful Christmas tree, covered completely with little light fixtures and baubles, plus a star resting on a crescent moon to top it off.

Ella then posted a photo of the stunning vistas surrounding their home, their snow-covered estate and the many trees that lined it as well.
She then proceeded to include some of the festive treats that Christmas called for, including a snowman made from coconut shavings (and adorned with an Oreo top hat), and the dough for a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
“Merry Christmas everyone, so much love to you all,” she captioned the post, which was soundtracked by her father and Olivia Newton-John’s rendition of “The Christmas Song.”
Ella shared a look at her family’s snowy Christmas
John, 70, in fact called back to his memorable collaboration with his late Grease co-star and close friend as well, sharing the album cover on his own social media days before Christmas.
“12 years ago Olivia and I released this Christmas album,” he wrote alongside a cover of the holiday record, simply titled This Christmas. “From my family to yours, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
John and Olivia released the album in 2012, built on their decades of friendship and the massive success that was the 1978 musical. It was also Olivia’s 25th studio album, and John’s most recent LP.
Ella is a musician as well, following in her father’s footsteps. She recently released her debut EP, Colors of Love, which was co-produced by none other than John himself.
“He’s amazing and he’s so protective because he’s been in this industry — in the movie industry, in the music industry — forever, so he knows how to protect me in that sense,” Ella said during an appearance on the Third Hour of Today last month.
She also opened up about working with him, recalling some of her first ever acting roles as child beside him. “I love working with my dad, if I could always do it, I would.”

When the idea of a duet was floated around, Ella confessed that she wanted that to happen as well, particularly a Christmas duet. “I love Christmas music,” she shyly admitted. “We’ll get in there right after this!”

“He’s a complete role model for me and one of the biggest things also that he does is he’ll give me advice. The best advice that I’ve gotten obviously is from him, but he also really leaves it up to me, which I really appreciate. He very much so trusts me and my instincts.”
