Review of Cozyla Digital Picture Frame WiFi Send Pictures & Videos via Google Photos Email Web Browser Instagram Phone App Unlimited Storage Digtal Photo Frame Electronic Picture Frame Slideshow 10.1 Inch Black @ $79.99 but had 10% coupon offeredHaving lost my soulmate and best friend (my fur grandson), I received as a gift a digital frame to keep his memories alive. That frame kept freezing up, so my research and search was on for a different frame. I will also share that I have tried other digital frames before going with this one. I have had Aura (freezing up), PhotoSpring and Pix-Star frames. I can give you my honest opinion since I have actually had several brands. I was really trying to find a frame that I could upload lengthy videos, lots of pictures, not see the same photos/videos over and over no matter the frame setting, free of pay walls, have cloud storage, and that I could hear my videos clearly. I am older, have bad tinnitus, and some hearing loss from artillery during military service.I really like this frame, but I don’t love it. I like it better than the others for the most part. I like the price, but it is not feature-rich. The performance is pretty good too. It does do a pretty good job of not showing the same photos/videos over and over. The speaker is in the front (one brand has the speaker in the back), although it is not as loud as I would prefer on so many videos and LivePhotos. For most people it would probably be fine. The frame has several drawbacks too. It does have some pre-made folders with one being an art gallery (for whatever reason), andsome have complained in reviews about not being able to delete it (which should be an option). You can click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the album and click on the sleep function and it will not be shown.Likes:Pictures/videos appear clearSpeaker is in the front (one brand I have the speaker is in the back and sound is poor) and the sound is probably loud enough (for most people)It does a pretty good job of not showing the same photos/videos over and over and seems to show my entire uploaded libraryYou can make different folders for different groups of photos and choose which folders the frame shows, or choose all of themThere is no pay wallUnlimited cloud storage. But, there is confusion to me here. It says the storage is on Amazon’s cloud servers. There is no way to link to Amazon photos though.There is an app that allows control of many functions of the frame. It also allows uploading.The frame has lots of various settings. Sleep timers. Sensor functions for nighttime. Volume control (frame only, not on the app). Choosing playlists. Choosing slideshow settings. There’s more.Uploading to the frame via the app is pretty quick, depending upon your Internet speed. It does so via your Wi-Fi, but it uses your phone’s Bluetooth to first connect and authorize the frame. You can only upload 30 photos and 10 videos at a time via the app.Removing photos/videos from the frame is easy via the app.You can add a lot of photos via Google Drive (big downside too – see below)You and anyone you invite can email photos/videos via an email address to your specific frame, but this has some limitations tooThere are several choices for intervals between slides as opposed to just 30 seconds or 1 minute, etc., like some frames offer. I have mine set to 20 seconds and it still shows the entire video that I have uploaded rather than cutting it off at 20 seconds. From trying different things, it seems like the video length playback is somehow determined by whether you set the intervals on the slideshow to more than 20 seconds or not. It seems to play my videos that are longer than 20 seconds in their entirety until I set the intervals to anything else other than 10 seconds or 20 seconds, and then it cuts them short. This part is confusing. This is a dislike too.It plays LivePhotos with the soundThe app is okay to use if you are tech savvy, but it’s a little clunkyThis does have a gift mode for uploading photos/videos before the recipient gets itYou can add notes or voice to photosDates, places taken, etc. can be made to show on each slide. I did notice that the dates were not always accurate and seemed to likely reflect when they were perhaps received from another person and you saved said photo to your device.After selected photos/videos from your device are uploaded, they are whited out for the next time you select photos so that you know that you’ve already uploaded themDislikes:I tried uploading a video via the app that was only 2 ½ minutes long. I have extremely fast Internet/Wi-Fi (FIOS), but it never would finish uploadingIf you have a lot of photos/videos like I do, Google Photos is not the option unless you want to spend a bunch of money on monthly storage fees. I have Gmail too for some things. That goes against your storage. Their basic storage is $1.99 per month for 100GB. My email only took up 7GB. I was not able to upload all my photos and videos and the 100GB was used up. I cancelled the Google Photos.Uploading only 30 photos and 10 videos at a time via the app is a pain, but it’s that or pay a bunch of money to Google Photos and Google DriveThe app is sort of clunky and not all that easy to navigate at times. The help and tutorial sections are not very good, and the search feature is extremely poorThe touch screen is not fingerprint resistant at all, and some things must be done using the touch screenThere are no ports for an SD card or USB device, which would really aid in uploading photos. I probably would have gladly paid another $20 for these additionsThis model does not work with AlexaI am still not seeing ALL of my photos and videos that I have in the album without seeing repeated photos/videos.Having a preexisting album (such as art gallery) that you have to click on and put it in sleep mode or it will show up in your pictures.After selected photos/videos from your device are uploaded, and you go back to add more from the device, you must once again scroll back to where you left off. If you have a lot of photos like I do, this is irritating. But at least those photos/videos already uploaded are whited out

    I have done some research before I bought this product after a lot of thoughts decided to buy this. I do not regret the purchase. Its totally worth the money. I gifted to our parents overseas and regularly update it with pictures of our kids. The set up was very easy. I connected it to their wifi with their WIFI name and password and when they plugged it in, they could instantly see the pictures that we uploaded. Unlike some other models that depend on the internal storage, this one uses cloud and comes with unlimited cloud storage so there is no limit on the number of pictures you can upload. I liked Cozyla product and the app so much that I bought two more for our home. The app is easy to use and you can manage multiple frames through the same account and can have multiple people managing the album contributing to the album. You can set the slideshow interval through the app. This will work in portrait or landscape mode. if the photo orientation does not match the frame, it will display two photos side by side to fill the frame. The quality of the screen and its enough bright for indoors. But can adjust the brightness settings. There is an art gallery in the app that you can choose random arts to display. I found that you have to select at least one image from the art gallery. I did not see an option to completely disable the art gallery pictures. You can also choose to display date/brief description to the photos. But It shows up somewhat in the middle of the picture in a rather unattractive font and found it a little distracting. Cozyla could have made it to display like a signature on an art. There is not any customization on that part. Just a minor aesthetic thing that may not bother some people but could have been nice may be they can do it via a software update or something.

    I had a large 15" Nixplay on my wall and enjoyed it – it's still a nice frame. This one, however, has a much more stylish bezel, larger display, better quality, and overall improves on any other frame I've owned. It's great. Even plays video, with or without sound. Simple to setup and link to photos. Minus one star for no remote – that's a big feature I miss, having it in the home office. And, the Nixplay had a great feature to turn itself on or off with motion sensing – this may have it too, I'm not sure, because I currently have it off as I'm writing this (we lost power for a minute, and I'm too lazy to turn it back on with a physical button… if only I had a remote). In either case, the Nixplay version was excellent. Still, this is an excellent frame!

    Solid option compared to underwhelming competitors
    I ordered this Pix-star 10" frame after being gifted (and then returning) a less expensive competitors frame that just plain didn't work. Before ordering I did some research to try to make sure I wouldn't be returning a second frame, and I believe I made the right choice. This frame was easy to setup, easy to connect to WI-FI, easy to load pictures onto using an SD card or from their webpage. I especially appreciate the SD card support as I'm an avid photographer and its easy for me to copy photos from my computer to the SD card and then plugin the card. The competing frames I looked at either don't support SD cards, or in the case of a competitors frame that I returned, claimed to support an SD card but wouldn't actually read it when I put it into the frame. On the Pix-star I put the SD card in (make sure to push it until it springs) and it immediately offered to start a slide-show with the photos… simple, easy.I was also able to connect the frame to my Flickr account using the pix-star webpage, and it seamlessly copied my photostream to the frames internal memory.The included remote control is a appreciated, and I think superior to touchscreens for this purpose… I've got touchscreens in my car and my wife and kids have ipads…. the one thing they all have in common: fingerprints. Who would want fingerprints all over a picture frame? Remote is a definite winner.There are some drawbacks, but I think they're easier to deal with than the shortcomings of their competitors:The screen resolution is just o.k.. I get the argument that a 10" screen doesn't need to be ultra-high resolution, but this is clearly just an average screen. I would've bought the 15" except that appears to also be 1024×768 which is just laughable for a screen that size in 2024…. for the 10" its o.k.The interface in the frame could use some fine tuning… why is "brightness control" (which adjusts screen brightness) under "auto on/off"? Also, I much preferred the dashboard menu (accessed by clicking the "back" button while in the slideshow) to the side menu. It would also be nice on the section where you can enable/disable transitions if it would preview what those transitions are so I know what I'm turning on or off. The webpage is a bit dated as well.The include a few sample images on the frame when you buy it, I assume for demo purposes, but for a brief moment I wondered if I was seeing someone elses photos. I would not include these when the user clicks the regular "play slideshow" button… hide them in a demo feature or something.As of the writing of this review, integration with Facebook is not working (per above, Flickr works fine). I got an error saying the "app is not active" and "the developer is aware". This wasn't a big deal since since I just downloaded my albums to the SD card (I could have also copied them from the computer back to the dashboard after downloading)… but I do hope they fix it nonetheless.Despite these drawbacks, I do recommend this picture frame. It's easy to use, the display is good enough, and the features are good! If they fix some of the shortcomings in a future version I'd happily buy a second one for my house and have them in two rooms.

      All of this review applies to the 15" Pixstar digital frame. We originally purchased the 10" and found it unimpressive. The 15" inch is phenomenal, though.

      Very functional, easy to set up, easy to use or even have non-tech grandparents use. Beautiful display.

      We bought this for:

      1) Grown son who moved across the country, and we weren't hearing from him often enough. After he received the frame which we had loaded with 24,000+ awesome photos, we were top of the mind and are still getting frequent phone calls from him. Really great for helping us stay connected.

      2) For our own family to help our kids form identity (preteens and teens) with perspective of so much of the good they've had in life. Teens tend to have a narrow focus and can get stuck in "Woe is Me" and feel isolated. We and our kids adore watching this frame and will just stand in front of it, watching the slideshow. The siblings' closeness to each other increased from recalling happy memories they've shared.

      3) For *not* tech-savvy grandparents in their 70's who have wifi access but prefer not to have devices running on it. We at first got the Nix 8" Digital Frame ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VCCK198/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 ), but we were so unimpressed. Upgraded and spent the extra money for this one because the viewing experience is so superior, it's easier to see from across the room, and it has the options for (any memory amount of) SD card or USB, downloads around 32,000 photos (varies depending on quality/how many mb your photos are) and stores them in the frame, so the user doesn't have to use the internet to see photos. It also connects via the internet to online albums such as Google Photos and other photo share apps. That feature is really neat and works well. Our grandparents/parents really liked the frame.

      4) Recently bought another one for our grown daughter who moved out, to help her feel connected to her family.

      Each frame gets registered when you plug it in with it's own email address and account. You can sync all the accounts you have for various frames in one group account and control all of the frames from the one account – changing which album plays, which kind of slideshow, etc. We use both the individual accounts and the group account to control a frame, depending on our what we want.

      If you want it to really play ALL the photos stored in the frame, make sure you select under "My Frame Configuration" then "Slide show configuration" then under "Playing Mode" select "NORMAL" then "Sorting Mode" select "RANDOM."

      If you do it with the other configurations, it tends to seem stuck on certain scenes/photos in your library and not play all of them. The above configurations seemed to work and let us see a constantly changing selections of photos.

      We hope they keep updating the frame and making them because we'll be buying more for other family members. Highly recommend!

      SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

      This is an update/addition to my review of November 2022.
      As I mentioned in my initial review I did a large amount of research prior to purchasing the Pix-Star 10 inch frame. The frame not only answered all of my requirements, it worked perfectly for almost the entire 1st year. I could not have been more satisfied (I also purchased a 2nd unit as a gift). Recently, a problem developed regarding the motion sensor. I contacted Pix-Star's Customer Support and they recommended a couple of actions which initially corrected the issue but ultimately the problem continued. After about four weeks of trying I advised Pix-Star that none of the fixes worked and the motion detector remained inoperable. They immediately advised me they were sending a new, replacement frame and I received it within a few days.
      They responded quickly, efficiently, and totally to my satisfaction. They provided a level of Superior Customer Service seldom displayed today. I am providing this added review because they not only deserve it but also for peace of mind for those of you who may be hesitant in making this purchase. Here's my bottom line. It is a great product with all of the bells and whistles I required backed up by a reputable firm providing outstanding customer service.

      I did a lot of research on a good amount of photo frames from various firms. Assuming similar quality my primary needs were:
      1. motion detector
      2. ability to use a usb stick
      3.load photos via internet
      4. auto resizing of photos
      I decided to go with Pix-Star and what a good decision! The frame itself is basic and looks fine. The most important feature for me (along with those listed above) is how do my photos look when displayed. Let me tell you – in one word FANTASTIC. They look great.
      For those of you shopping for one of these for the first time (like me) here are some suggestions. When you first get it you will want to load it with current photos. That's why I wanted the ability to use a USB stick. I loaded almost 225 photos immediately. I don't know how long that would have taken via the internet. All I did was go to my PC , down loaded the photos to a USB, and then uploaded from the USB to the frame. Uploading took about 1 minute. The internet is fine for uploading a few photos when you like, but starting off with a large amount may be time consuming. Doing it this way also allowed me to "polish" my selections using Photoshop so they looked exactly the way I wanted. I also was able to resize most of my photos to 8 X 6 (frame display size) so there was no distortion or cropping.
      I am particular with my photos. This frame provides a lot of flexibility, it is fairly easy to understand, and overall does a great job. It isn't cheap – but it is worth the dollars it cost.

    Great gift for anybody!!
    This was a purchase for my in-laws and it was such a hit!! They have raved over and over about it and say it’s the best present ever. They since bought one for us and their daughter. It is so easy to set up and use. The app is an easy way to add pictures to the frame and show them what we’ve been up to. They love getting new pictures. I can add pictures easily to my own frame and my sisters now, too. The quality is great. You can choose different settings for the pictures to show up. Yes, it’s a little pricey but so worth it for someone who has everything!! Go in as a group gift or make it birthday and Christmas… but just buy this for your parents and they will love it forever!! We put ours on a little easel on the kitchen counter. I love mine too.

      Great Cloud Enabled picture frame!

      We gave the black frames to my parents and grandmother for Christmas (celebrated a few days early). They are really liking them so far. I've been keeping an eye out for a cloud enabled picture frame I liked for years. They either had a terrible resolution, a monthly fee for cloud services, or were atrociously expensive. I've even contemplated making my own with a Raspberry Pi. The ones by NixPlay work exactly the way I think they should at a reasonable price and include cloud space for uploading/managing pictures..

      My siblings and I all have the NixPlay app installed on our phones. When something interesting happens and we take a picture, in just a few seconds we can push it to the picture frames. I was amazed how quickly new pictures get to the frames (a couple minutes at most). You can also set it to show the newest pictures first, so you are always sure to discover the new stuff.

      The web management is fantastic too. It gives a lot of control over albums, playlists, and what feeds to each picture frame. You can have multiple frames with different pictures on each if you like.

      Finally, I can control individual picture frame settings from the website too (like sleep times, how quickly the pictures advance, etc). You can control many of these features directly from the frame too. But when you have non-tech savvy relatives like I do, it's easier to just change the settings remotely instead of trying to walk them through it over the phone.

      The only feature I'm a little confused about is the motion sensor. It seems to do a good job keeping the display on when there is activity in the room. However, once the display shuts off due to lack of motion it doesn't seem to turn back on again when you walk in front of it. Eventually, I'll get around to calling Nixplay and asking about this (they were very helpful with pre-purchase questions, so I'm sure they'll be helpful with this one as well). It's not a big deal and I'm sure it saves a little power by not looking for motion all the time. I just wish there was a setting I could change to make motion trigger the display coming back on.

      I purchased a wifi frame from a different manufacturer, and while I found the screen OK, the UI interface (both on the unit itself, in the web app, and in the mobile app) was non-intuitive and the overall quality of the product build (including the box and cheap plastic stand), sub-par. As a key example, the SD card couldn't be used to expand the storage on the unit and as this was a gift for my non-technologically sound mother, going through a poor UI and figuring out how to copy photos from internal storage (used when emailing or uploading pics) to an SD card .. was simply impractical. I didn't even want to introduce it to her. Back to Amazon it went.

      This frame was bought as my alternative. And, OH MY. The screen is superb, the mobile app is superb, and the Nixplay web app – OH MY. 5 frames in one account, 10GB storage, differing albums, multiple playlists, simple linkage to social media accounts (and then the ability to delink while maintaining pictures in independent playlists) .. unbelievable, and best of all: straightforward. You can also control *EVERY* frame setting from the web interface – with ease. This means no joke, I can plug the frame in .. connect it to my Mom's wifi – and DONE. She will *NEVER* have to touch the thing or it's remote, again.

      The colors of the frames are also great.

      The one thing I'd say they should improve .. the ability to not just pan an image, but zoom in towards the center of an image with a configurable timing on the zoom. This is because many mobile phone pics aren't exactly perfect and there's a lot of 'whitespace' that ends up showing on a subset of pics as a result of not having this. I expect this'd be a quick software update. To ask for it, I emailed support this morning (Sunday), and got a response back from Vermie within 30 MINUTES (on a Sunday morning) indicating it's on their future feature list and they'd log my request. Amazing the responsiveness.

      It takes a lot for me to write a review, let alone a 5 star review – but the quality of this product and the support is so striking, it's worth it. To the point where I just bought a second 'Seed' frame, for myself, directly from the Nixplay website, after using the one I got as a gift for my Mom from Amazon for 30 minutes.

They get to see and watch your kids grow up, your adventures and life in general even if they are not directly around. This is great for family that lives across the country.

      I have purchased 3 of these for family all in different Cities. It is easy as the administrator to setup photo albums, playlists and external user accounts that can also add photos to your devices. Adding pictures from my daughter's birthday party was quick from the Android app, and they appeared on my Mom's unit during the party so she was able to call after and talk to her granddaughter with a better sense of what was going on in her world. It was a great memory saver for those who aren't there everyday,

      Only con I have right now is that the remote being line of sight makes adding the frame to the wireless on initial setup a bit difficult to do when you aren't that tech savvy.

      Things I would like to see would be a piezo speaker that sang when a new photo is added to the frame. I think that alone would give it 5 stars. Also a wall-mountable version would be something I would be interested in.

      Frame is really easy to use and very easy to sync using the Nixplay software. I have small kids and parents/in-laws who want to see up to date pictures of them. It's really easy to upload pictures to it and then sync the pictures across multiple frames all over the world. I use google photos, but it works nicely with most of the major picture apps. The frame also looks very nice and is a pretty well made piece of equipment. Quality of the screen is quite good for the money. The motion sensor is also a fantastic feature as no one needs to turn it on or off and it doesn't run 24/7 when no one is there. I'm not a big fan of the cord which also functions as the frame's stand – it works ok, but I think it would be better to keep the two functions separate.

My family has had these for a long time and they kept on asking us if we wanted one and we continued to say no until we were at a family event and my aunt explained why she loves hers so much. She said, she has always taken lots of pictures, but how often do you really look at them? The frame allows very easy transfer (we send them via email and rarely through the app) and we are looking at our wedding pictures again! And pictures from when our kids were super tiny!       Wir haben seit Weihnachten 2016 zwei 20cm- Geräte im Einsatz und sind vollends zufrieden. Die Geräte wurden an die Großeltern verschenkt. Wir "Posten" regelmäßig neue Bilder auf den Bilderrahmen. Es ist wirklich wie posten und kommt bei den Omas und Opas wirklich gut an. Auch wenn Oma und Opa ein wenig weiter weg wohnen, sind sie so ein kleines Stück näher gerückt und es gibt immer ein wenig Gesprächsstoff.

      Klasse Idee und Umsetzung.

      Technisches:
      Ich möchte technisch wirklich nicht zu sehr auf Details eingehen. Die Einrichtung der Geräte ist recht einfach, die Beschickung mit Fotos ebenso.
      Natürlich muss man sich ein wenig einfinden, aber das halte ich für normal.

      Wir nutzen die kostenfreie App, um vom Handy aus hochzuladen, und posten vom heimischen Rechner aus direkt auf die entsprechenen Bildordner bearbeitete Fotos. Alles läuft total easy ab. So muss es sein.

      Ich bin in der Lage, jeden der zwei Bilderrahmen mit eigenen / individuellen Bildern zu versorgen.
      Die Darstellungsqualität der Displays ist wirklich ordentlich. Leuchtkraft, Farbwiedergabe und Blickwinkel entsprechen absolut meinen Erwartungen.

      Abschließend möchte ich erwähnen, dass man am Gerät selber, wie auch über das Webfrontend der Rahmen technische Details einstellen kann. Ich spreche von Details wie z.B. Einblenden von Uhrzeit, Art der Bildpräsentation (also wie gleiten die Bilder im Rahmen der Diashow ins Bild), An- und Abschaltzeiten, etc. Wenn Oma oder Opa gerne ein Detail geändert hätten, kann ich das aus der Ferne übers Internet erledigen. Prima, wenn man nicht Tür an Tür lebt.

      Die 20cm Bildschirmgröße halte ich für sehr angemessen. Kleiner würde ich den Bildschirm nicht haben wollen, was aber Geschmacksfrage ist.
      Es gibt sicher einige Features mehr, aber ich möchte hier einen Punkt setzen. Die von uns genutzten Punkte sind hiermit beschrieben.

      Von mir daher für genannten Einsatz…. eine Empfehlung, Daumen hoch !! 🙂

      Déjà, l'objet est vraiment de bonne facture. L'écran est de qualité magnifique, aucun reflet, une bonne définition et de belles couleurs.       Le petit plus rigolo: le détecteur de mouvement marche dans la nuit. Mon cadre s'allume quand je passe dans le salon de nuit, ce qui m'a évité plus d'une fois de me casser la figure dans le noir !

      Je pense que si l'occasion se présente j'en prendrai un autre (peut être un nouveau modèle) car je n'ai qu'une envie c'est en mettre d'autres dans ma maison! Nous profitons plus que jamais de nos photos numériques, je pense que toute personne prenant beaucoup de photos se doit d'avoir un cadre comme celui ci.

      Confusing setup, slow support

      Setup was a bit challenging. I gave this as a gift to my older parents who can’t really manage the frame themselves. I should have set up as my own frame but I set up instead as a gift frame. That was a mistake. I had to factory reset frame and contact support to get it so that I could manage the frame for my parents.
