Jacob Fatu to injure former WWE World Champion before he even enters the Royal Rumble? Exploring the potential
Since bursting onto the WWE scene, Jacob Fatu has been a force to be reckoned with. The Samoan Werewolf has announced his entry in his first-ever Men’s Royal Rumble Match. However, his carnage could begin before the match in Indianapolis, as Fatu could attack a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion backstage and squander the latter’s opportunity to compete at the spectacle.
Damian Priest could fall prey to a merciless attack at the hands of The Tribal Wolf tonight before the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. He had a heated confrontation with Jacob Fatu on SmackDown last night. The Punisher not only dissed the 32-year-old during their promo but also secured a win over the new Bloodline in a tag team match alongside LA Knight.
This could lead to an enraged Fatu unleashing his fury on Priest to exact revenge. The Samoan Werewolf could ambush him from behind, leaving The Archer of Infamy in no capacity to compete. There is a high possibility for such an angle to unfold at the Royal Rumble. If Jacob Fatu enters the 30-man Battle Royal after decimating a former world champion, it will present him as an indomitable force.
Interestingly, he delivered a beatdown to Damian Priest even after the tag-team match last night, signaling that his business with The Punisher is far from over. Therefore, Fatu could be lurking to seize an opportunity to exact revenge on the former Judgment Day member. What better way to do that than by crushing Priest’s WrestleMania dreams at the Royal Rumble tonight?
It will be interesting to see how the night turns out for both Damian Priest and Jacob Fatu in Indianapolis.
Jacob Fatu to face Damian Priest at the Elimination Chamber PLE?
The Tribal Wolf and The Archer of Infamy ignited an interesting feud last night. The two stars drew an intriguing similarity between each other with intentions to claim the blue brand as their turf. However, this rivalry appears to be far from a one-night affair.
With tensions running high, this feud could extend for several weeks, leading to a potential match at the Elimination Chamber PLE on March 1. If Fatu manages to attack Priest ahead of the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, it can add another layer to this newfound feud.
The Archer of Infamy could then seek revenge on The Samoan Werewolf, leading to a full-blown rivalry. WWE can potentially position the two dominant forces against each other to cause chaos on SmackDown for the next few weeks. Besides, such a high-voltage feud at the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania 41 could be a major highlight of the blue brand’s shows.
Moreover, an intense program with a former world champion like Damian Priest could elevate Jacob Fatu to another level. Therefore, a potential rivalry followed by a blockbuster showdown at the Elimination Chamber PLE in Canada could be the next step for the 32-year-old in the Stamford-based company. However, this is nothing but speculation at this point.

Jacob Fatu, the current reigning and defending MLW World Heavyweight Champion, has been making waves in the world of professional wrestling with his dominant presence and impressive in-ring skills. And now, there are rumblings that he may have his sights set on a former WWE World Champion before he even has a chance to step foot in the Royal Rumble. With his menacing demeanor and ferocious style, Fatu has the potential to cause chaos and destruction wherever he goes. And if he were to target a former WWE World Champion, it could have massive implications for the wrestling world.
The idea of Fatu injuring a former WWE World Champion before they even have a chance to compete in the Royal Rumble is a shocking and intriguing one. It would not only shake up the landscape of professional wrestling but also put Fatu on a whole new level of dominance and fear in the eyes of his competitors.
Could Fatu be the one to make a statement and take out a former WWE World Champion before they even have a chance to enter the Royal Rumble? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – if Fatu sets his sights on a target, there’s no telling what he might be capable of. Stay tuned to see how this potential storyline unfolds.

Rocco Spindler used the word “they” when discussing Notre Dame‘s future several times after Monday night’s 34-23 loss to Ohio State in the CFP National Championship Game.
The reason became clear Thursday when the graduate student offensive lineman entered the transfer portal. Spindler, who started 23 games the at right guard the past two seasons, will explore his transfer options for his final season of eligibility.
“I haven’t made that decision,” Spindler told Inside ND Sports on Monday night when asked if he’d be back at Notre Dame next season. “It’s a lot to think about. I’d love to be part of this program. This is my team, my home. I’ll forever love Notre Dame.”
The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Spindler started the last 13 games of the 2024 season for Notre Dame after losing the position battle in preseason camp. He moved back into the starting lineup for the Miami (Ohio) game after junior Billy Schrauth suffered an ankle injury against Purdue. When Schrauth was ready to return to the starting lineup, offensive line coach Joe Rudolph moved Schrauth to the left side to replace sophomore guard Sam Pendleton, who entered the transfer portal Wednesday.

Notre Dame OL Rocco Spindler enters NCAA transfer portal
Notre Dame offensive lineman Rocco Spindler has entered the NCAA transfer portal, just days after the team’s loss in the national championship game, On3 has learned.
Spindler played extensively for the Fighting Irish this fall, starting 13 of the team’s 16 games on the year.
He’ll therefore offer someone quite a bit of experience via the NCAA transfer portal, which can sometimes be difficult to come by at the offensive line position. He’s not the first Notre Dame player to enter following the title game loss, and he likely won’t be the last.
Rocco Spindler has been a strong contributor for the last two years, too.
After appearing in 14 games total with no starts in his first two seasons, Spindler began to get his footing with the program. He started 10 games in 2023, starting in every game that he appeared in. Then he started 13 this fall.
Prior to enrolling at Notre Dame, Rocco Spindler was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 65 overall recruit in the nation in the 2021 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the class and the No. 3 overall player from the state of Michigan, hailing from Clarkston (MI) Clarkston.
Notre Dame also loses Jayden Thomas
As noted above, Rocco Spindler isn’t the only player to hit the transfer portal wire from Notre Dame. Receiver Jayden Thomas also entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Thomas is transferring after playing in all 16 games this season. He finished the year with 18 catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns. He added three carries for 27 yards on the ground, while helping Notre Dame advance to the national championship game.
He spent four seasons with the Fighting Irish. He signed with Notre Dame as a three-star recruit and the No. 63 receiver in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry Rankings.
On3’s Matt Connolly also contributed to this report.

The highly touted recruit from the class of 2021 made the decision after playing in just one season with the Fighting Irish.Spindler, a four-star recruit out of Clarkston, Michigan, was seen as a key piece of Notre Dame’s offensive line for the future. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman will now have the opportunity to connect with other programs and potentially find a better fit for his talents. Spindler’s decision to enter the transfer portal comes as a surprise to many, but it will be interesting to see where he lands next.

Notre Dame OG Rocco Spindler Enters the Transfer Portal
Irish Illustrated confirms that guard Rocco Spindler intends to enter the portal as a graduate transfer. On Thursday afternoon, 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz first reported the news.
The senior started 13 games at right guard for the Irish this season after initially losing the job during fall camp.
“I really thought, coming off of two surgeries, I was the guy to go to, but things happen,” Spinder said in September. “Coaches have got to make decisions, and you necessarily don’t always agree with them. But I had a great support system with my family.
“At times, it pulls you into a dark place. But you come here, you come to Notre Dame, they’re going to challenge you not only in the classroom but on the field, too.”
He entered the lineup in Week 3 against Purdue after Billy Schrauth went down with an ankle injury.
Spindler quickly impressed the Fighting Irish coaching staff and remained a starter even after Schrauth returned in Notre Dame’s 51-14 win over No. 24 Navy on Oct. 26. Schrauth replaced sophomore Sam Pendleton at left guard instead.
“You have five guys in there for the first couple games. Because of injuries, you had to put Rocco [Spindler] and Coogs [Pat Coogan] back in there,” Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman said in October. “Again, they all have done a really good job as individuals, and with time, they will continue to be cohesive as a unit.
“So, [I’m] really proud of that group, that are playing through some injuries and being thrust into a position because of injuries, and they’re improving constantly now.”
According to 247Sports, Spindler is a former top-100 recruit who hails from Clarkston, Mich. He’s started 23 games in four years and played 1,325 snaps in his Notre Dame career.
He has one season of collegiate eligibility remaining.
Spindler is the fourth Irish player to enter the transfer portal since Notre Dame’s season ended after Monday’s 34-23 loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
The others are Pendleton and wideouts Deion Colzie and Jayden Thomas.
Notre Dame OG Rocco Spindler Enters the Transfer PortalNotre Dame offensive guard Rocco Spindler has entered the transfer portal, looking for a new opportunity to continue his college football career. The talented lineman has decided to explore his options and see where his skills can best be utilized.
Spindler, a highly recruited prospect out of Michigan, made an impact with the Fighting Irish during his time in South Bend. However, he has now made the decision to seek a new challenge and find a new team to showcase his abilities.
With his size, strength, and athleticism, Spindler will undoubtedly be a coveted prospect on the transfer market. Many programs will be eager to add a player of his caliber to their roster, and he will have no shortage of suitors.
Wherever Spindler ends up, he will bring a strong work ethic, a competitive spirit, and a desire to succeed. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and look forward to seeing him excel at his next stop.

Winter Storm Warning in effect as wintery mix enters the area
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A First Warn Weather Day is in effect as Winter Storm Warnings span the entire viewing area from now through 3 a.m. Monday. Freezing rain, wintry mix, and snow are already making their way into the area from the south and west. This will continue to spread towards the north and east as we continue through this afternoon. However, the precipitation is lackluster and not as widespread as the models are indicating at this time, which is a good thing because we do not want a lot of ice accumulation.
Weekend ice totals.(KCTV5) Models are indicating most of the area along and south of I-70 will get the wintry mix/freezing rain today and into tonight. I want to make sure you understand this could change by tonight, but we will have to watch when the switchover happens.
If we get more ice along I-70 and south, this will drastically decrease the snow amounts for the metro and south. If we see the changeover overnight or early tomorrow morning, this will result in higher amounts of snow accumulation. This means it is a sit-and-wait scenario on how this storm system will develop into the region later this evening and into the overnight hours.
Saturday storm timing.(KCTV5) By 3 p.m. you should have finished your errands and are getting home ready to hunker down from the ice and snow. The highest chance for freezing rain accumulation will be this evening into overnight. It’s nearly a guarantee that you need to get off the roads by 5 or 6 p.m. Snowfall forecasts have been an absolute challenge this morning into this afternoon. I’m trying to balance consistency with the new morning data and how I believe the data will change throughout the morning overall. I want to state this forecast will continue to change through today as the storm develops with that in mind right now there will be a sharp cut-off from the big snow totals to smaller amounts.
SNOW AMOUNTS:
- Along I-70, including KC and north: 7-12 inches for snow accumulation
- South of I-70: 5-10 inches
- Far southern counties: 3-6 inches
WATCH:
However, as you head toward the far east this is where most of the ice accumulation will be setting up so I wouldn’t be surprised if places like Clinton, Warsaw, Cole Camp, etc get less snow. *IF THE CHANGE OVER TO SNOW IS QUICKER THAN WHAT MODELS INDICATE THESE AMOUNTS WILL BE HIGHER AND VICE VERSA.
The National Weather Service is quoted in their discussion by saying that they anticipate blizzard conditions from Highway 36, which basically crosses between I-29 and I-35 just south of Saint Joseph over to Cameron, down to the metro.
Gusts are now expected to range between 35 mph and 40 mph by mid-morning Sunday, continuing through the day.

Grizzlies Center Zach Edey Enters Concussion Protocol, Out for Thunder Game
The Memphis Grizzlies will be without their starting center, Zach Edey, for their upcoming game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Edey has entered the league’s concussion protocol after suffering a head injury during the team’s last game.Edey, a key player for the Grizzlies, has been instrumental in the team’s success this season. Standing at 7 feet tall, Edey has been a dominant force in the paint, averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds per game. His absence will certainly be felt by the team as they look to secure a win against the Thunder.
Concussions are a serious injury in sports, and it’s important for players to take the necessary time to recover and heal properly. The Grizzlies medical staff will be closely monitoring Edey’s progress and ensuring that he receives the best care possible during his time in the concussion protocol.
In Edey’s absence, the Grizzlies will need to rely on their depth and versatility to make up for his absence. Players like Jaren Jackson Jr. and Steven Adams will need to step up and fill the void left by Edey’s absence.
Despite the setback, the Grizzlies remain optimistic about their chances in the upcoming game against the Thunder. They have a talented roster and a strong coaching staff that will help guide them through this challenging time.
Fans will be eagerly awaiting Edey’s return to the court, but his health and well-being are the top priority. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action soon.

gameGrizzlies Rookie Zach Edey Enters Concussion Protocol, Ruled Out for Game Against Thunder
The Memphis Grizzlies received some unfortunate news ahead of their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder as rookie center Zach Edey has entered concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the matchup. The 19-year-old big man suffered the injury during a recent practice session and will now have to go through the necessary steps to recover before returning to action.Edey has been a pleasant surprise for the Grizzlies this season, providing quality minutes off the bench and showing flashes of his potential as a dominant force in the paint. Standing at 7-foot-4, the Canadian-born center has impressed with his size, agility, and scoring ability, making him a valuable asset for the team moving forward.
Losing Edey for any amount of time is certainly a blow for the Grizzlies, who have relied on his presence to provide depth in the frontcourt. However, the team will have to adjust and find ways to overcome his absence in the lineup.
In the meantime, head coach Taylor Jenkins will have to look to other players to step up and fill the void left by Edey’s injury. Veterans like Steven Adams and Jaren Jackson Jr. will likely see an increase in playing time and responsibility, as they will be tasked with picking up the slack in the paint.
Despite the setback, the Grizzlies will have to remain focused and continue to push forward as they look to maintain their strong start to the season. With a talented roster and a deep bench, Memphis has the depth to weather the storm and continue to compete at a high level in the competitive Western Conference.
As for Edey, the priority now is for him to focus on his recovery and ensure that he takes the necessary time to fully heal before returning to the court. Concussions are serious injuries that require proper care and management, and the Grizzlies will undoubtedly take all the necessary precautions to ensure Edey’s long-term health and well-being.
In the meantime, fans will have to wait and see how the Grizzlies fare without their promising rookie center in the lineup. It will be a challenge, but with the talent and depth on the roster, Memphis should be able to overcome this setback and continue their strong play as they look to make a push for the playoffs.
