CLEVELAND — When Cleveland Cavaliers swingman Max Strus grew up in Chicago, Illinois, he became familiar with an event the Chicago Bears held where players would bowl with groups of fans whose ticket sales to the event would be donated to charities. Strus decided to put his own spin on that here in Cleveland, hosting his Bowl in the Land event on Monday evening.
Through his Max Strus Family Foundation, Strus held his bowling event at Corner Alley downtown. Groups bought their tickets for the event, and down all 12 bowling alley lanes, they got to interact with the Cavs.
That’s because Strus’ teammates showed up in full force. All his Cavaliers teammates were in attendance, splitting up between the groups. From Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, and everyone in between, the Cavs spent the evening at the lanes. Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson, president of basketball operations Koby Altman and nearly all of Cleveland’s staff made it out for the event.
Having that kind of support—a day after the team played a record-breaking game against the Dallas Mavericks and one day before their highly-anticipated matchup against the Boston Celtics—meant the world to Strus.
“Every player is here; I couldn’t be more appreciative. We had a game yesterday, we play tomorrow, and to have an event tonight was probably not the best scheduling,” Strus said. “But nobody complained, nobody had any worries about it. They’re all here. They’re all here to support and, like I said that just shows you who they are as people. We’re having a great year on the court, but it’s just an honor to be teammates with these guys and to show everybody else who they are as people because they are truly special people.”
The money raised from the event will go towards several Northeast Ohio charities to be named soon. For Strus, giving back to the city he now calls home is the least he said he could do, appreciative of the support Cavs fans have shown all season long.
“The amount of respect we have in the city and the amount the fans show up for us and the support that we have constantly at every game, no matter what time of the day or night—it feels like every game is sold out and they’re always supporting us, so to be able to have that just makes this even more of something I want to do,” he said. “I just want to give that back and be supportive of them because of how much love they’ve shown us.”
With support from his team and fans, Strus is excited to give back. But as his foundation’s name indicates, he couldn’t do it without the support of his family. His parents, brother, sister and close friends made it to Cleveland for the event.
“My family is everything and I treat that not very lightly. My family is just the world,” Strus said. “They flew in here yesterday; they’re driving home. The amount of effort they’ve put in just to support me, it’s really hard to put into words. I’m just so grateful to have them to become the man that I am today.”
We Follow Through
Want us to continue to follow through on a story? Let us know.
Last night, every player on the Cleveland Cavaliers roster came out to support teammate Max Strus at his charity event. The event, which raised funds for underprivileged youth in the Cleveland community, was a huge success thanks to the overwhelming support from Strus’ teammates.
It was truly heartwarming to see the entire Cavs team come together to give back to those in need. From signing autographs to taking photos with fans, the players went above and beyond to show their support for Strus and his cause.
This display of camaraderie and generosity is a true testament to the strong bond and camaraderie among the Cavs players. It’s moments like these that remind us of the positive impact athletes can have on their communities and the importance of giving back.
Thank you to Max Strus and the entire Cleveland Cavaliers team for showing us what true teamwork and compassion look like. Here’s to many more successful charity events in the future! #CavsGivingBack #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork

Up next is the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, an event known for having to deal with pretty much all the possible elements Mother Nature can dish out.
In 2024, the final round was postponed to Monday and then canceled altogether Sunday night after a full day of high winds with more expected at the Monterey Peninsula. Wyndham Clark, the 54-hole leader, was declared the winner and while he did come back to the golf course Monday to collect his trophy and take some pictures, most of the images that people saw in the days that followed were of debris strewn about and trees knocked over.
It was the first time the tournament was shortened since 2009 when Dustin Johnson was the victor.
Weather forecast for 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
So how are things looking for 2025?
The PGA Tour released its weather forecast for the week and Thursday’s first round should have mostly cloudy skies and zero percent chance of rain. Come the weekend, though, and it’s looking like a 20 percent chance of rain all three days.
Good news on the wind, though, as it appears that it shouldn’t be anything like it was a year ago, with nothing more than 15 MPH gusts.
Low wind, slight chance of rain? We’ll take it.
The 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is just around the corner, and golf fans are eagerly awaiting the action on the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links. But what can players and spectators expect in terms of weather for this year’s tournament?
According to the latest forecast, the weather for the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am looks to be picture-perfect for golf. With sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s throughout the tournament, players can expect ideal conditions for their rounds. Light breezes coming off the Pacific Ocean will provide a refreshing sea breeze, adding an extra challenge for players as they navigate the famous coastal course.
While the weather at Pebble Beach can be unpredictable at times, it looks like Mother Nature is smiling down on this year’s event. So grab your sunscreen and your favorite golf hat, because it’s shaping up to be a beautiful week of golf at one of the most stunning courses in the world. Don’t miss out on the action and tune in to see some of the best golfers in the world compete in the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am!
Many of the NFL’s best players are putting their talents on display during the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, a multi-day competition between the AFC and NFC.
The two conferences competed in six skills challenges Thursday night and will compete in four more on Sunday before facing off in a flag football game. The NFC will enter Sunday with a 14-7 lead over the AFC following Thursday night’s exploits. One of the biggest performances on Thursday night was turned in by Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who led the NFC to a victory in the night’s first skills challenge.
Peyton Manning is once again coaching the AFC squad, while the NFC team will continued to be led by Eli Manning. Last year, Eli’s NFC squad posted a 64-59 win over Manning’s AFC team in the highest-scoring Pro Bowl of all time. The AFC lost despite posting a 50-34 win in the flag football showdown.

Earlier this week, Kate Middleton made a solo appearance at a children’s hospice facility—in a $20 Zara dress—that had a sweet connection to Princess Diana. And it seems during her visit to Tŷ Hafan children’s hospice, the princess fully embodied her late mother-in-law‘s best qualities.
Alex Forbes, whose 12-year-old son Felix is currently being treated at the center, spoke highly about their family’s interaction with the Princess of Wales. The royal even painted her hand in order to leave a print on an entry way wall.
“You can tell she is a mom,” Alex said. “It was easy to see in the way she was so engaging with the girls. She was lovely. She got Lottie to come in and asked, ‘Do you want to paint my hand?’”
Alex’s husband Dan added that Middleton’s friendliness and personable demeanor were comparable to Princess Diana, who also had a tie to the hospice facility. The late princess became the organization’s patron in 1995 before the center was even built. Sadly, she died in 1997 and never had the chance to see the institution up and running after it opened in 2000.
“Diana is always thought of as the royal who had a people touch and had the ability to build rapport and bond with people today,” Dan said. “You could see that today with the princess.”

Middleton is now a patron of the facility and spent her visit meeting families and patients receiving treatment. Dan added that she “put people at ease immediately” and was down-to-earth, making others feel like they were “talking to another mother, first and foremost.”
According to People, Diana‘s former private secretary Patrick Jephson donated $130,000 to the organization in order to build the facility after receiving money from damages paid by the BBC for their controversial 1995 Diana interview.
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has once again been compared to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, during her latest event. The royal stepped out in a stunning outfit that many royal watchers couldn’t help but draw parallels to the iconic fashion sense of Princess Diana.
During a recent engagement, Kate Middleton wore a chic ensemble that featured a bold color and elegant silhouette, reminiscent of Princess Diana’s timeless style. The Duchess exuded grace and poise as she interacted with attendees and carried out her royal duties, much like Princess Diana was known for.
It’s not the first time that Kate Middleton has been likened to Princess Diana, as her fashion choices and charitable work often draw comparisons to the beloved Princess of Wales. Both women have made a significant impact within the royal family and have captured the hearts of people around the world.
As Kate Middleton continues to navigate her role within the royal family, it’s clear that she is following in the footsteps of Princess Diana in more ways than one. With her grace, elegance, and compassion, the Duchess of Cambridge is certainly living up to the legacy of her late mother-in-law.

WrestleMania is approaching. But before the journey to it fully commences, WWE had Saturday Night’s Main Event as a starter for a monumental time of the year.
The second edition of the vintage show in as many months, Saturday Night’s Main Event was another opportunity for WWE to showcase its top stars to a national audience. Staying true to the show’s identity, three championship matches took place, and another bout between two of the dominating forces in the company ended in complete mayhem. Plus, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens faced off ahead of their rematch at the 2025 Royal Rumble.
Here is a recap of the highlights and analysis of Saturday Night’s Main Event:
World Heavyweight Championship match: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
Gunther has made it clear he has a strong distaste for Uso, and he showed the animosity with a quick attack on the challenger to start the match. The champion, in typical fashion, controlled the first half of the match, and even tried a powerbomb for an early win, but it didn’t work.
Uso got some blows as he tried to fight off the vicious offense from Gunther, and he finally got something going when he landed a kick on the champion. Uso decided it was time to go for a pin, which wasn’t successful, but that wouldn’t be all from the challenger. He landed a big-time powerbomb on the man that loves to use it, and both stars laid in the middle of the ring. When they both got up, Gunther tried the powerbomb but it was reversed with a spear from Uso. He went for the pin and Gunther just kicked out. Uso got another spear, climbed the turnbuckles for an Uso Splash and looked primed for the win. However, the crowd was stunned when Gunther kicked out.
Uso tried to go for a third spear, and that would be the mistake; Gunther didn’t fall for it, landed a powerbomb and did a second one for good measure. The champion got the pin to retain.
Analysis: Jey Uso was oh, so close. It’s felt like the OG Bloodline member is really inching closer toward becoming a world champion, and it really appeared it would happen on Saturday. The spear-to-Uso Splash combination really looked like it was it and was one of the best near-finishes in the early part of 2025. However, there’s a reason Gunther has spent most of his time in WWE as a champion − it takes so much to take him down.
Gunther retains his title and while it’s unlikely the men’s Royal Rumble winner challenges him at WrestleMania, he’ll still get a strong opponent to face in April, one who could possibly dethrone him. Could it be Uso? He certainly is starting to look more capable in the ring, and WrestleMania could finally be the time he reaches the mountain top. But nothing looks clear until the Royal Rumble is finished.
Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu
In the battle of heavyweights, it was Strowman that started off with the blows to Fatu. However, the “Samoan Werewolf” isn’t someone that stays down for long, and he was doing his usual wild displays of athleticism. Even when Strowman would counter, Fatu wasn’t letting his opponent dominate. Strowman did his Strowman Express around the ring and took down Fatu, but when he went to do it again Fatu got up and threw Strowman on the table.
Strowman was clearly rattled, and Fatu went off with numerous hits to Strowman in the corner of the ring. It was so vicious, the referee ordered Fatu to stop. Fatu didn’t like that, and he threw the referee out of the ring as he continued the assault. The referee stopped the match, with Fatu disqualified. Security came out to stop Fatu, and he used a steel chair on the help that came as Strowman began to bleed from his head.
No matter how many people were in the ring, no one could stop Fatu from going off. He launched himself off the top rope onto Strowman. Tama Tonga even came out to try and stop his friend, but it was no use. Fatu ended up doing it two more times, and Strowman got medical attention for the unleashed attack.
Analysis: What a true monster Fatu is. No one has made Strowman look so helpless like Fatu did, and that’s quite the achievement. Fatu’s destruction and no regard for life was the right way for the match to end, but the continued attack well after the match was over was truly a sight to behold.
With Solo Sikoa no longer the true Tribal Chief, it’s been a mystery as to what direction the new Bloodline was going to go. So far, it looks like Fatu is out to prove he is someone capable of wreaking havoc on his own. If Tonga can’t stop him from his brutality, could Sikoa do it?
Contract signing for ladder match for Undisputed WWE Championship at Royal Rumble: Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens with Shawn Michaels as moderator
Whether it was Owens wearing a “Cody sucks eggs” shirt or Rhodes eyeing down his rival from the top of the ladder as the crowd did his signature “woah,” it was clear the heat is reaching a boiling point. Rhodes signed the contract for the match at Royal Rumble, and Owens was about to before he ranted about Rhodes’ claim he takes the easy way out. Owens went on and on before Rhodes told him to stop talking, yelling at him that it’s enough. Owens then claimed once he wins next week, he’s going to take all the attention away from Rhodes.
Michaels butted in and said Owens “sounds jealous,” angering the challenger even more. Owens then went on a rant directed at the WWE Hall of Famer. Owens finally signed the contract to make the match official. Michaels had a referee take each of their titles to hang above the ring for the upcoming ladder match. Michaels tried to shake both of their hands, but Owens went for a cheap shot on the champion. He then tried to execute a package piledriver on the “Heartbreak Kid,” but Rhodes prevented it with a hit. Furious, Michaels took his jacket off and gave Owens some Sweet Chin Music to end the scuffle.
Intercontinental Championship match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus
Described as an “unbelievable athlete” by his opponent, Breakker quickly showed his rapid skills with a start that included some big blows. The champion took the challenger out of the ring, and the veteran Sheamus played it smart by getting Breakker over the barricade to slow down his momentum. Sheamus had the upper hand, but it didn’t last long after Breakker landed a vicious mid-air spear that was incredibly timed.
With Sheamus having clear pain in the midsection, Breakker went to work on the injured area. Sheamus still fought back − going with the Beats of the Bodhran and Celtic Cross − and avoided another spear by landing the Brogue Kick. Sheamus went for the pin. As the referee was about to hit three, the champion’s leg was on the ropes − preventing the loss.
Sheamus tried to go for another Brogue Kick, but the pain in his midsection was too much. He winced, and Breakker saw the opportunity to land a spear, go for the pin and retain the title.
Analysis: This is surely the surprise of the night. If there was any opportunity for Sheamus to finally capture the Intercontinental Championship, it was on Saturday night. He came incredibly close, but the young star got the best of the veteran.
Breakker continues to add wins against some established names on the roster, further proving he’s on a trajectory to eventually becoming a world champion. For Sheamus, you have to wonder if he’ll actually get another shot at the one title he hasn’t won in WWE. With two losses to Breakker, it’s tough to argue he should get a third chance, so he’ll either have to wait longer or accept it will be something he won’t capture.
Women’s World Heavyweight Championship match: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax
In a rematch of Elimination Chamber 2024, Jax wasted no time trying to get to her opponent, headbutting Ripley before Lilian Garcia could introduce the champion. Ripley quickly got to her feet and got some shots in as the two stars traded massive blows in quick succession.
Ripley showed off her strength with a power bomb off Jax and she tried to go for a submission, but it didn’t work. Jax tried to go for the Annihilator, but the champion wasn’t going to let it happen, getting Jax out of the ring and launching herself off the top rope. Quickly getting in the ring, Jax recovered and did land her finishing move. She didn’t go for the pin, instead trying to hit it again. Ripley was able to get Jax off the ropes and both stars were on the ground.
Ripley was the one to get back on her feet first. She landed a kick and executed the Riptide, planting Jax on the mat and getting the pin to retain her title.
Analysis: There wasn’t any chance Ripley was going to lose her title that quick, but she put on another powerful performance against Jax, and the two stars work quite well together in the ring. They both possess strength and the ability to execute massive maneuvers, and given the show is only two hours, Jax and Ripley were able to keep up a fast pace while making sure they each got to showcase their talent.
Now, Ripley will await who wins the Royal Rumble, and she’ll be the favorite to be challenged at WrestleMania. As for Jax, get ready for “The Irresistible Force” to put up another incredible showing in the Rumble match.
Ted DiBiase in attendance
The “Million Dollar Man” is in San Antonio as the WWE Hall of Famer emerged with his infamous Million Dollar Championship title.
English, Spanish commentary heard simultaneously to start
It might have been tough for WWE fans to listen to the start of Saturday Night’s Main Event as the English and Spanish commentary could be heard at the same time.
WWE commentator Joe Tessitore gave the introduction to the night, but it was tough to hear what he said since the Spanish announcer was also talking at the same time. Fans complained about the start on social media.
The issue lasted for about the first seven minutes of the show before viewers had just the English commentary.

What is Saturday Night’s Main Event?
If there was an event that had WrestleMania-worthy matches not at WrestleMania and for a nationwide audience, it was Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As wrestling continued to grow across the country in the 1980s as WWE strengthened its position as the top company in the U.S., Saturday Night’s Main Event was a way to showcase the biggest stars, getting in the ring against each other.
Typically held on NBC, it allowed millions of people a rare opportunity to tune in to watch marquee matchups, and the show was a success — multiple showings took place from 1985-1992. After a hiatus, it returned in 2006 and a couple more shows took place over the next few years. It returned again in December 2024 and appears to be something WWE is going to try to hold continuously with the second edition of the return taking place in San Antonio.
Will Jesse Ventura be back for Saturday Night’s Main Event?
Expect “The Body” to be back on the headset on Saturday night.
WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura will be back at the announcer’s table for the event. The former governor of Minnesota was a commentator for WWE after his wrestling career and was featured in the early editions of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Sheamus ‘needs’ elusive WWE Intercontinental Championship
Growing up in Ireland, one of the first memories Sheamus has of watching WWE is the Intercontinental Championship.
He remembered seeing “Macho Man” Randy Savage’s reign in the 1980s and all the people who held the title afterward. He saw it as “the worker’s title,” with wrestlers consistently putting it on the line instead of only occasionally defending it. If he made it to WWE, he hoped he would be able to one day claim the championship.
Flash forward to 2025 and after a 15-year career filled with multiple championship reigns, the Intercontinental title is one the soon-to-be 47-year-old still is chasing. He’ll get one more opportunity to secure it when he challenges champion Bron Breakker at Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio.
And he is as hungry as ever for it.
“It’s something I need, and it’s something that I want,” Sheamus told USA TODAY Sports.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event took place last night and it was a night full of thrilling matches and surprising outcomes. Here are some of the highlights and analysis from the event:
– The main event of the night saw Roman Reigns defend his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins in a hard-fought battle. The match was intense from start to finish, with both superstars pulling out all the stops to secure the win. In the end, Reigns emerged victorious after hitting Rollins with a devastating Spear to retain his title.
– Another standout match of the night was the Women’s Championship match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. The two rivals put on a show-stopping performance, with Lynch showing why she is one of the top competitors in the women’s division. Despite Flair’s best efforts, Lynch was able to lock in the Dis-arm-her submission hold to make Flair tap out and retain her title.
– The tag team division also saw some action, with The Usos taking on The New Day in a heated match. Both teams showcased their incredible athleticism and teamwork, but it was The Usos who ultimately came out on top after hitting Kofi Kingston with a double superkick and picking up the victory.
Overall, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event was a night to remember, with plenty of memorable moments and exciting matches. Fans can’t wait to see what the future holds for their favorite superstars as they continue to battle it out in the ring.

WWE SNME Winners And Highlights
Rhea Ripley Def. Nia Jax
Ted DiBiase pulled up, presumably to replace Hulk Hogan, and he was wearing his full Ted DiBiase regalia.
WWE used old-school microphones for the ring introduction, and they even sounded like old-school microphones (in a bad way).
Nia and Rhea pulled off an amazing transition where Nia countered a springboard hurricanrana with a powerbomb attempt. The powerbomb was then countered by a Code Red.
Nia hit Rhea with a second-rope leg drop, which Rhea kicked out of.
Like most matches with monsters, the story was Rhea constantly trying to pick up Rhea Ripley and failing. The same went for attempted submissions.
As Jax went for a second Annihilator, you could literally hear children screaming.
Rhea Ripley won with a Riptide, and WWE made it clear that the loser of this match will compete in the women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax Grade: B+
Bron Breakker Def. Sheamus
Jesse Ventura made a great Steiner Math joke, where he implied Bron Breakker thinks 2 + 2 = 5. This man has still got it.
Breakker took another wild bump when Sheamus yeeted him over the barricade onto an office chair.
As the trainwreck match continued, Breakker caught Sheamus in midair with an awesome Spear before SNME went to break.
Sheamus was screaming obscenities at Breakker to the point where he had to be bleeped out on live TV.
Sheamus hit a Celtic Cross for a nearfall, and it was accompanied by a great overhead shot.
Ventura spent this whole match calling out the referee and what he thought was slow counting.
Breakker retained with a jumping Spear on Sheamus’ bad ribs.
Somebody had an “HBK is Mid” sign. Michaels laughed it off because he knew what everybody else did: That guy was an idiot.
Cody Rhodes was the clear babyface as he faced off with Owens. KO was wearing a “Cody Sucks Eggs” t-shirt, a nod to the famous “Dusty Sucks Eggs” t-shirt.
After hanging the titles up to descend from the rafters, Owens tried a Package Piledriver on Michaels. This, after a cheapshot on Rhodes. Rhodes saved HBK with a Superkick, and Michaels followed up with a Superkick of his own.
Rhodes-Owens Contract Signing with Shawn Michaels: B
Braun Strowman Def. Jacob Fatu By DQ
After another fire pre-match promo, Michael Cole noted Fatu had been in jail three times. I love how WWE is using Fatu’s real-life backstory to add to his aura, which already projects “real-life badass.”
Surprisingly, Fatu took the first bump seconds into this match. I didn’t think either was going to take a bump for a few minutes. Fatu answered with a Suicide Dive on Strowman before SNME went to break.
Fatu took a fantastic bump when Strowman did the running pounce. Strowman tried another, much slower, trot and Fatu hit the Samoan Drop on a table that didn’t break.
Strowman hit a series of running Butt Bumps, and the referee teased ending the match. Fatu snapped and threw Dan Engler out of the ring. Strowman tends to get out of doing jobs to other monsters, because Bronson Reed never secured any wins over Strowman in their monster matches.
Strowman was bleeding from the mouth, and Fatu continued to beat him down with WWE officials filling the ring. Fans chanted “one more time!” after a double-jump moonsault. Fatu obliged. Fans then chanted “Fatu!”
Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu Grade: A
GUNTHER Def. Jey Uso
The main event entrances started at 6:30 p.m., so they kind of rushed through Jey Uso’s entrance.
WWE Raw will be in Atlanta this Monday, and between SmackDown and SNME, there was no mention of Roman Reigns’ acknowledgment ceremony or an appearance from Goldberg.
This match received “this is awesome” chants, and while they were chanting, Jey hit GUNTHER with a Spear for a nearfall. A follow-up Uso Splash was also met with the nearfall, but fans bit hard.
GUNTHER countered a third Spear attempt with multiple powerbombs for the win.
GUNTHER vs. Jey Uso Grade: B
