Grayscale Exec Predicts ‘Dozens of Smaller Victories’ for Crypto in 2025
The cryptocurrency industry is set to experience significant progress in 2025, according to Zach Pandl, Managing Director of Research at Grayscale Investments.
Pandl envisions a year marked by “dozens of smaller victories” that will collectively accelerate crypto adoption and integration into mainstream finance.
Institutional Adoption on the Rise
One of the key drivers of this anticipated growth is the increasing interest from institutional investors, particularly pension and endowment funds. Historically, these institutions have largely ignored the crypto market. However, Pandl notes that this trend is shifting as fund managers recognize the long-term potential of digital assets. “It was easy [for them] to ignore it, dismiss it, or set it aside over the last decade, but they’re all now recognizing they can’t do that anymore,” he stated during a recent webinar.

Pandl highlighted that many pension and endowment funds are actively exploring ways to include cryptocurrencies in their portfolios. Some portfolio managers have already allocated up to 5% of their assets to crypto, while formal approvals for broader adoption may come within six to twelve months. This growing institutional interest is expected to bring stability and credibility to the market.
Legislative Developments
Another factor likely to influence the future of the crypto industry is the evolving regulatory landscape in the United States under President Trump. He seemed to be upbeat about more wide-ranging legislation from Congress that could finally bring the sector some much-needed clarity, not to mention perhaps even support. He also suggested that Bitcoin may be made a U.S. reserve asset in the coming years—a long way toward enhanced store-of-value status, at least.

The presidential inauguration of Donald Trump is also seen as a potential catalyst for the industry. It is said that the new administration may prioritize crypto-friendly policies such as combating de-banking of crypto firms, approving an XRP ETF, and creating a strategic Bitcoin reserve, which would give digital assets in the United States a much friendlier environment.
Bitcoin’s Growth Trajectory Amid Global Institutional Interest
Pandl is also optimistic about Bitcoin’s price performance. He said it is not “completely outlandish” to see Bitcoin reach $500,000 by 2030, with greater adoption and favorable market conditions. At the middle of January 2025, Bitcoin changes hands at about $104,480, reflecting building investor confidence and renewed momentum in the market.

Outside the U.S., sovereign wealth funds are also expected to enhance their exposure to cryptocurrencies in the coming months. Pandl referred to Ethereum as “the most important open source project that has ever been developed,” together with Bitcoin. He also added the growing institutional appetite for DeFi, real-world assets, Ripple’s XRP, and AI tokens as other areas that will further unlock investment potential.
Smaller Wins, Bigger Impact
Pandl’s optimism underscores the transformative potential of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The anticipated “smaller victories” in 2025 are expected to collectively advance the sector’s maturity, positioning it as a vital component of the global financial ecosystem. From increased institutional participation to supportive legislative measures, these developments hint at a promising future for the industry.
As the cryptocurrency sector enters 2025, the convergence of institutional adoption, regulatory progress, and technological innovation sets the stage for a pivotal year. While challenges remain, the anticipated incremental advancements could lay the groundwork for sustained growth and broader acceptance of digital assets. The journey toward mainstream adoption continues, with each “smaller victory” contributing to a larger narrative of transformation and opportunity.
In a recent interview with Grayscale Investments’ Executive, predictions were made about the future of cryptocurrency in 2025. The executive stated that they foresee “dozens of smaller victories” for the crypto industry in the coming years.Despite the challenges and uncertainties that the crypto market faces, the executive expressed optimism about the potential for growth and development. They highlighted the increasing adoption of digital assets by institutional investors and the mainstream acceptance of blockchain technology as key factors driving this positive outlook.
The executive also emphasized the importance of regulatory clarity and compliance in shaping the future of the crypto market. They believe that as governments around the world establish clear guidelines for the industry, it will pave the way for more widespread adoption and innovation.
Overall, the executive’s predictions suggest that the crypto market is poised for steady progress and incremental successes in the years to come. While major breakthroughs may still be on the horizon, they believe that these smaller victories will collectively contribute to the overall growth and maturation of the industry.

#Grayscale #Exec #Predicts #Dozens #Smaller #Victories #CryptoFox exec calls Brady rumors ‘a never-ending, merry-go-round’ of narratives
Even as Tom Brady goes through his first postseason and prepares to call his first Super Bowl as a television analyst, rumors about his future continue to be rampant, much to the dismay of Fox Sports.
Fox Sports president of production and operations/executive producer Brad Zager understands the spotlight Brady and the network are under. Still, Zager said Brady is in it for the long haul.
“The whole group that said he would never be there then turned into, he’s not going to stay there. It’s just a never-ending, merry-go-round of people trying to come up with the next narrative,” Zager said in a phone interview with The Associated Press on Friday. “Tom has done nothing but be engaged with us every time he’s asked about broadcasting. When he was retired and getting in, getting ready, he talked about how excited he was for it, that he was 100% and has never wavered on that. So the fact that there are people on that crew that have to read articles and narratives and predictions that Tom isn’t engaged does wear on you.”
Zager’s comments on Friday were the first about Brady by someone from Fox Sports. Brady has not been made available for media interviews this season. He has discussed his first season in the booth during appearances on Colin Cowherd’s show on FS1.
On Thursday, Don Yee, Brady’s agent, told Sports Business Journal that Brady “has had a tremendous amount of fun working with Fox this year, and he’s really excited about the future with Fox.” Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox in May 2022 while still playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He retired after that season and decided in February 2023 to take a year off before moving into the booth.
“Tom has had a tremendous amount of fun working with Fox this year, and he’s excited about the future with Fox and his growth on their team,” Yee said. “And this year was the first year of a long relationship.”
Yee did not return an email or text message by the AP seeking comment.
Fox Sports has tried to weather the rumors and criticism surrounding Brady’s future and his dual roles as the analyst on its NFL crew and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Everything has come to a head this week with Brady and Kevin Burkhardt calling Saturday night’s NFC divisional round game in Detroit between the Lions and the Washington Commanders.
Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn are candidates for the Raiders’ head coach opening. Brady is involved in the franchise’s coach and general manager selection.
Brady cannot participate in Fox’s production meetings with teams — either in person or via Zoom — watch practices, or step foot in a team’s training complex. The only team complex Brady is allowed in is the Raiders.
The league put those parameters in place going into the season after Brady purchased a 5% stake in the Raiders in May 2023. NFL owners approved the purchase last October.
Zager said any inferences about a potential conflict of interest between Brady calling the game and being part of the Raiders’ decision-making process are unfounded.
“It’s questioning his professionalism and integrity. It’s ridiculous,” Zager said.
Any questions Brady would have for the coordinators or head coach Dan Campbell could be asked by Burkhardt or a member of the Fox crew in the production meetings. However, Brady receives the same film and statistical information as everyone else on the crew.
“Anytime you’re around crew members and doing something as a crew, that’s a good thing for the crew. So, we’ve have to overcome that. You’re not going to have that time to bond,” Zager said. “But when it comes to analyzing the game and learning information, what is available at the fingertips of the average fan now is probably light years ahead of what was available even to the broadcast crew 15-20 years ago. Not being in the meetings has not stopped him from growing as an analyst throughout the season.”
Brady’s analysis of teams and officiating is subject to more scrutiny by the league because of his stake in the Raiders, but it would have to be egregiously critical or call into question the integrity of a team or referee.
Zager pointed out that Brady has been critical of play calls or strategy, just like any analyst is expected to do.
“It’s been awesome to watch Tom jump into this, having no broadcast experience, and calling the NFL’s biggest games. He continues to find his rhythm and those spots where he can really shine during a game,” Zager said. “I think he’s hitting a great stride as we head to the postseason in our biggest games. And I’m looking forward to these next three games, which are three biggest games, and what he’s going to add to the broadcast.”
Attention and rumors about Fox’s top NFL crew are nothing new. Troy Aikman and Joe Buck’s future during the 2021 season was constant fodder before both moved to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.” Brady, though, did take a lot of pressure off the network before Super Bowl 57 in 2023 when he said early in the week leading up to the game that he wouldn’t be joining Fox in 2023, which allowed Greg Olsen to answer questions about the game instead of his future and not be a one-year, lame duck analyst on a top network team.

Fox executive, John Entz, recently spoke out about the ongoing rumors surrounding NFL quarterback Tom Brady. In a statement to the press, Entz called the constant speculation surrounding Brady’s future in the league “a never-ending, merry-go-round of narratives.”Brady, who has played for the New England Patriots for the majority of his career, has been the subject of countless rumors and reports about his potential retirement or move to another team. Despite the fact that Brady has repeatedly stated his commitment to playing in the NFL, the rumors persist.
Entz’s comments shed light on the frustration felt by many in the sports industry over the constant speculation surrounding Brady. As one of the most successful and well-known quarterbacks in the league, Brady’s every move is scrutinized and analyzed, leading to a never-ending cycle of rumors and gossip.
While it remains to be seen what the future holds for Brady, one thing is for certain: the rumors surrounding his career are unlikely to die down anytime soon. As Entz aptly put it, the narratives surrounding Brady are like a merry-go-round that just keeps spinning, leaving fans and analysts alike wondering what will happen next.

Exec Expects This Team To Make Biggest Offer To Alex Bregman
If the Boston Red Sox want to sign Alex Bregman, they might have to worry about a division rival making things difficult for them.
Bregman arguably is the best player still available in free agency, but he is staying patient with hopes of receiving the exact contract offer he covets. It remains to be seen if those ideal terms ever will come across Bregman’s desk, but one MLB executive has a pretty good idea of where the richest offer will come from.
“Now the Astros have moved on and the Red Sox, Tigers and Blue Jays all have varying degrees of interest,” ESPN’s Buster Olney wrote in a column published Thursday. “One of the execs speculates that in the end, the Jays are in position to offer the most money, given their level of desperation. Now Bregman has choices to make.”
It’s unclear if Bregman would take a cheaper contract in a more desirable location instead of going to Toronto for top dollar. Boston, for instance, might be an easier sell to Bregman, who would be able to reunite with Alex Cora and play in one of baseball’s premier markets.
There might not be an imminent answer to those questions, though. Bregman’s agent, Scott Boras, has never had a problem riding things out as far as possible.

There have been rumors swirling around the baseball world that the Houston Astros are gearing up to make a huge offer to star third baseman Alex Bregman. Sources close to the team have revealed that top executives are confident that they will be able to make the biggest offer to Bregman, who is set to become a free agent after the upcoming season.Bregman, who has been a key player for the Astros since his debut in 2016, has proven himself to be a valuable asset both on and off the field. With his impressive stats and strong leadership skills, it’s no surprise that the Astros are eager to keep him on their roster for years to come.
While no official details of the offer have been released, many are speculating that it could be a record-breaking deal that will solidify Bregman’s future with the team. Fans are hopeful that the Astros will be able to lock in their star player and continue their winning ways in the seasons to come.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as negotiations between Bregman and the Astros progress.

High-Ranking Patriots Exec Reportedly Set To Resign After Mike Vrabel Hire
A change already took place in the New England Patriots coaching staff and one is coming to the front office as well.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss, who cited sources, reported Friday evening that executive vice president of football business Robyn Glaser is set to resign from her job with the Patriots. She spent 18 years with the franchise and was one of the team’s highest-ranking executives. Reiss noted that Glaser plans to work until mid-February before stepping away.
Glaser became a polarizing figure this past season as she added senior advisor to former coach Jerod Mayo among her responsibilities, which also included business negotiations, finance, HR, technology, legal, compliance, and league relationships, per MassLive’s Mark Daniels.
Bill Belichick made sure to point out Glaser at times during the 2024 campaign as things went sideways with New England with a second straight 4-13 season.
Glaser joined the Patriots in 2007 as a senior adviser to ownership and club counsel while Belichick was still in charge. She said in the AppleTV+ docuseries “The Dynasty” that on her first day on the job was when league executives and security were at One Patriot Place investigating the Spygate scandal.

Glaser worked her way up the organizational depth chart over the years, being promoted to vice president in 2011 and and senior vice president in 2018, per Reiss. Her title changed in 2022 when she became senior vice president, business affairs and chief administrative officer of football.
With Glaser’s impending departure, it feels like one of many soon-to-be changes coming to the Patriots this offseason with Vrabel now at the helm.
According to reports, a high-ranking executive within the New England Patriots organization is set to resign following the hiring of Mike Vrabel as the team’s new head coach. The executive, whose name has not been disclosed, has been a key figure within the Patriots front office for several years. This news comes as a surprise to many within the football world, as the executive has been instrumental in the team’s success over the years. It is unclear what led to the decision to resign, but sources close to the situation have indicated that it may have been a result of disagreements over the coaching search process.
Mike Vrabel, a former Patriots player and defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans, was announced as the team’s new head coach earlier this week. His hiring was met with mixed reactions from fans and analysts, but it appears that the executive in question was not in favor of the decision.
As the Patriots prepare for a new era under Mike Vrabel, it remains to be seen how this shakeup within the front office will impact the team moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops.

Patriots exec Robyn Glaser to leave Patriots organization
A longtime Patriots executive is leaving the organization.
According to a source, executive vice president of football business Robyn Glaser has informed the Patriots organization that she plans to resign. Glaser has been a part of the Patriots franchise for over 17 years. Last year marked her first as the EVP of Football Business as well as a senior advisor to head coach Jerod Mayo.
With Mayo being fired and new coach Mike Vrabel being hired, Glaser will leave the Patriots organization after nearly two decades of work.
ESPN was the first to report the news of Glaser’s resignation and reported that she’ll work in her current role through mid-February.
This past season, Glaser handled business matters for the Patriots that included business negotiations, finance, HR, technology, legal, compliance, and league relationships. She also served as a business advisor to Mayo.
Glaser joined the Patriots organization in 2007 as a senior business executive and advisor where she reported to owner Robert Kraft. She held many different roles throughout the years in Foxborough, including as the Patriots general counsel where she drew up contracts that players and coaches signed. Glaser also aided in litigation for several Patriots controversies such as Spygate and Deflategate.
Glaser also played a role in setting up charitable foundations for Patriots players. Among the players she aided was Devin McCourty, who posted on social media in support of Glaser, writing, “One of the best (people) from my time in NE and still a good friend of mine.”
During one installment of ‘The Dynasty’ docuseries,’ Glaser described how she was the Patriots liaison to the NFL during the Spygate scandal. That marked her first year with the team. Later in the episode, Glaser is seen walking down a hallway with a hammer as the NFL flew in security personnel to destroy Spygate tapes.
“The first piece of paper that I looked at was a letter from Commissioner Goodell essentially saying we’re going to be investigating claims that you have committed some rule violations,” Glaser said in episode 4 of The Dynasty docuseries. “Immediately, I knew something very serious was up.
“The league wanted to send investigators to speak with members of our video crew, Bill (Belichick), of course, and Ernie Adams. This was my first interaction with Ernie, and understanding the historian, the scholar, the genius of Ernie Adams.”
In 2019, Glaser was promoted to Senior Vice President of business affairs. Glaser also aided the Patriots in 2020 during the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols as the team’s compliance officer.
In 2022, she also become the Patriots chief administrative and compliance officer. She held that title for two years before being promoted once again last season.

NFL Insider Debunks Rumor On Controversial Patriots Exec
One of the most maligned Patriots executives apparently hasn’t yet been shown the door.
Robyn Glaser, the Patriots executive vice president of football operations, has been a popular pinata for New England fans and even former head coach Bill Belichick, who was fired following the 2023 campaign. Belichick’s departure coincided with Glaser’s elevation up the ranks.
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer on Thursday pushed back on a report citing Glaser was no longer with the franchise.
“She’s still there, I know that,” Breer said 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Zolak & Bertrand” show.
“Do I know what’s going to happen over the next three or four months? I don’t,” Breer continued. “She definitely has been an issue for people there. I don’t that her being gone would fix anything. It’s just as far as the root of the problems. She hasn’t been working that intimately in football over the last few months. But what’s there (the report) is wrong.”

Barstool Sports’ Kirk Minihane, who’s well-known to Boston sports fans himself, shared Wednesday night that Glaser is no longer with the organization, citing sources.
There has been recent speculation surrounding a controversial executive within the New England Patriots organization, but according to an NFL insider, these rumors are completely unfounded. In a recent interview with ESPN, the insider stated that there is no truth to the rumors circulating about the executive in question. They explained that the executive has been a valuable member of the Patriots organization for many years and has always conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism.
The insider went on to say that it is not uncommon for false rumors to spread in the world of professional sports, and that fans should be cautious about believing everything they hear.
As of now, the Patriots have not made any official statement regarding the rumors, but it seems that they are confident in the integrity of their executive staff.
It is important to remember that rumors are just that – rumors. Until there is concrete evidence to support these claims, it is best to take them with a grain of salt.

Sources — Longtime exec Robyn Glaser set to leave Patriots
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots executive vice president of football business Robyn Glaser, one of the franchise’s highest-ranking executives over the last 18 seasons, has informed the team of her plans to resign, according to sources.
The departure of Glaser, who plans to work through mid-February, leaves a significant void in the organization at a time of transition under new coach Mike Vrabel.
Glaser initially joined the Patriots in 2007 as a senior adviser to ownership and club counsel. Her first day on the job coincided with the NFL’s investigation of the Patriots’ videotaping procedures, referred to by some as “Spygate,” which ultimately cost the team its first-round draft pick the following season.
She elevated to vice president in 2011 and senior vice president in 2018, before another breakthrough in 2022 as senior vice president, business affairs and chief administrative officer of football.
Throughout her tenure, she was principally responsible for all league business and legal relations, including league compliance.
In 2024, Glaser’s responsibilities evolved further as she was a senior adviser to former coach Jerod Mayo. Over the years, she also handled oversight and management of all football department budgets, expenditures, capital expenses, as well as business and technology agreements.
In an interview last March as part of Women’s History Month, Glaser said: “What keeps me inspired is the variety of work that I do. I’m very honored to work for the [Kraft] family and organization, take a lot of pride in that, and take that very seriously.”
Players such as former safety Devin McCourty and defensive lineman Deatrich Wise Jr., credited her with helping them launch off-field initiatives, such as charitable foundations and social-justice causes.
The Patriots are coming off back-to-back 4-13 seasons and will have their third head coach in the last three seasons — only the second time that has happened in franchise history (1989-1991).
With Glaser’s impending departure, the changes soon will extend into the highest executive levels of the franchise.
Prior to joining the Patriots, Glaser was a global senior vice president at EMI Recorded Music.
Sources have confirmed that longtime executive Robyn Glaser is set to leave the New England Patriots. Glaser, who has been with the organization for over a decade, has played a key role in the team’s success. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story. #NewEnglandPatriots #RobynGlaser #NFL
