Bombardier has said its defence arm has seen its “strong” presence in the Middle East only grow in the last year – a boost for the manufacturer during IDEX in Abu Dhabi this week.
Speaking to Shephard, Mena Saad, director of programmes for Bombardier Defense, said that it had recently “seen a lot of volume come through” for its services and that its work within the region would “just get bigger with time”.
According to Bombardier, the manufacturer has around 150 to 160 aircraft in the Middle East, with the number split between defence and civilian aircraft.
While the split between civilian aircraft and defence aircraft is, according to Bombardier, more “favourable on the civilian side”, Saad added that he has seen “an uptake of requests within the defence side” over the last year.
The only publicly announced deal using Bombardier’s aircraft was for the Saab’s GlobalEye, an airborne early warning (AEW&C) aircraft, in which its Global 6000 aircraft was bought by the UAE to supplement its Saab 340 aircraft. The fifth and final aircraft was delivered in September 2024.
Expanding Bombardier’s Middle East footprint
Bombardier’s Challenger and Global aircraft are used by countries worldwide, including most recently in the US for its HADES programme, and are notably outfitted for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), airborne early warning or maritime patrol usage.
“Maritime control is also picking up,” added Saad. “I think a lot of maritime patrols are just looking at multi-functional aircraft as well. There’s definitely been a bit of an uptick.”
Its most recent variant, the Global 8000, is set to enter service in the latter half of 2025. When asked about whether it has seen interest from potential suitors, Saad said that the longer-fuselage jet – its longest yet – may not lend itself to becoming a missionised aircraft, albeit with a caveat.
“You’ll see a lot of Challengers and more [Global] 6500s being missionised, right now,” he noted. “The reality of the industry’s payloads are becoming smaller and smaller with technologies advancing. You don’t necessarily need the added capabilities of a longer jet unless you have a range requirement.”
“The 8000, I’m sure, will have a good market – as long as the range requirement is what is needed,” Saad remarked.
Elsewhere, the manufacturer is expanding its footprint in the UAE. In 2022 it announced it was breaking ground for a new Abu Dhabi-based service centre for business aircraft, providing maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities. Saad added that the centres are equipped to take care of any of its aircraft – whether civilian or defence.
Eyeing a 2025 launch timeline, Bombardier seem to be on track as Saad added that “more announcements [were] to come” around the facility.

DALLAS — For the first time in his career, Anthony Davis‘ arrival to a franchise hasn’t resulted in celebrations in the city.
In Dallas, the deal that brought the 10-time All-Star to the Mavericks has resulted in heartbreak and anger. Days later, the fan base remains in shocked disbelief that 25-year-old superstar Luka Doncic got blindsided by the blockbuster deal only months after he led the Mavericks to the NBA Finals.
“I understand it,” Davis said Friday regarding the fans’ outrage. “Obviously it’s a business, and I get who Luka was to this franchise, to the city. I’m never going to downplay that — just how I know what I meant to the city of L.A. So I’m not surprised by the fans’ reaction and the city’s reaction, but it’s my job to come in and play basketball and do what I’m supposed to do and give the fans hope and reassurance on why [GM] Nico [Harrison] brought me here.”
A protest is planned outside the American Airlines Center before Davis makes his Mavericks debut in Saturday afternoon’s home game against the Houston Rockets. Billboards criticizing Harrison and the team’s new ownership group are planned around the arena after a GoFundMe account raised more than $40,000.
“I don’t know how tomorrow’s going to be as far as the reaction, but I can’t control that,” Davis said. “What I can control, it’s going and just winning basketball games and helping the team do whatever I can. But at the end of the day, I’m going to give the city life back.”
Harrison, who has accepted sole responsibility for the decision to trade Doncic, did not participate in the Friday news conference to introduce Davis along with Max Christie and forward Caleb Martin, who was acquired in a separate trade.
The general manager cited a desire to upgrade Dallas’ defense and enhance the Mavericks’ culture as among the reasons he made the trade when he met with a smaller group of media Sunday, hours after the deal was done.
Sources told ESPN that there will be an increased security presence at the American Airlines Center on Saturday due to threats received by Harrison, some of which have included racial epithets. Harrison has also employed personal security in the aftermath of the trade, sources said.
Harrison managed to keep his discussions with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka private before agreeing to the deal and did not negotiate with other teams. After determining that it was in Dallas’ best interest to trade Doncic, Harrison targeted Davis as the headliner of the return package.
A longtime Nike executive before being hired as the Mavericks’ general manager in 2021, Harrison has had a close relationship with Davis since the star was a teenager. Mavericks coach Jason Kidd, who was a Lakers assistant coach when Davis helped lead Los Angeles to the 2019-20 championship, also has a strong bond with the big man.
“Obviously, I understand who Luka is and what he’s able to do and what he’s already done for our game,” said Davis, a five-time All-Defensive selection who is averaging 25.7 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game this season. “He’s a phenomenal player, going to be one of the best to ever play the game of basketball.
“But to have Nico trade for me just shows his belief in me and what I can do on the floor. It’s my job to produce every night and have Mavs nation believe that as well. So I’m excited for the challenge.”
Anthony Davis, the star player for the Los Angeles Lakers, recently spoke out about the frustration and disappointment felt by Dallas Mavericks fans after a controversial call in a recent game. Davis expressed his understanding of their feelings and acknowledged the impact that such moments can have on the game.
In a gesture of reassurance, Davis emphasized the importance of fair play and integrity in basketball. He noted that while calls may not always go the way fans hope, it is essential to respect the game and its officials.
As the Lakers gear up for their next game, Davis is determined to bring his best to the court and show fans that the game is ultimately about sportsmanship and competition. He hopes to inspire confidence and trust in the game, even in the face of challenging moments.
With his understanding of the emotions at play and his commitment to the sport, Anthony Davis is poised to continue making an impact on and off the court.
With a win, Lillard can become the first player since Craig Hodges (1990-92) to win the contest three times in a row. Larry Bird also captured three consecutive titles from 1986 to 1988.
Last year, Lillard racked up 26 out of a possible 40 points in the final round of the contest which also featured 2022 3-point contest winner Karl-Anthony Towns and Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young. He drilled four buckets in a row on the second-to-last rack of balls and jogged to the final rack needing only one more basket for the victory. He missed his next four shots from the corner, before splashing the game winner on his final attempt.
Lillard’s second straight title made him the first back-to-back champion since Jason Kapono (2007, 2008), a feat also accomplished by Bird, Hodges, Mark Price and Peja Stojakovic.
With the NBA All-Star weekend quickly approaching, all eyes are on Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard as he sets his sights on a third consecutive victory in the 3-point contest. Lillard, known for his deadly accuracy from beyond the arc, will face stiff competition from a talented field of shooters including Steph Curry, Devin Booker, and Joe Harris.
The 3-point contest has long been a fan favorite event during All-Star weekend, showcasing the best shooters in the league as they go head-to-head in a thrilling display of long-range marksmanship. Lillard’s back-to-back wins in 2020 and 2021 have solidified his status as one of the top shooters in the league, but he will need to bring his A-game to fend off challengers hungry for the title.
As the anticipation builds for the 3-point contest, fans can expect a high-energy competition filled with jaw-dropping shots and intense rivalries. Will Lillard make history with a three-peat, or will a new champion emerge to steal the spotlight? Tune in to find out as the NBA’s best shooters battle it out for 3-point supremacy.
Former President Joe Biden signed with Creative Arts Agency, a rep announced on Monday, indicating that the 82-year-old may be ready to start more Hollywood ventures after leaving the White House.
Biden was previously represented by CAA after he left the vice presidency from 2017 to 2020. During that time as a client, he published his book “Promise Me, Dad,” and went on an “American Promise” tour across the country.

The former president has not specifically revealed what his life will look like in the coming years, but had said in the final days of his term that he expected his voice to continue to influence politics.
“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett said in a statement. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”

Joe Biden, 82, inks deal with CAA as ex-president potentially eyes Hollywood ventures
Former President Joe Biden, at the age of 82, has signed a deal with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as he potentially eyes ventures in Hollywood. The news comes as Biden’s post-presidential plans start to take shape, with rumors swirling about possible book deals, speaking engagements, and now, potentially, forays into the entertainment industry.
Biden, who served as the 46th President of the United States from 2021 to 2025, has long been known for his charismatic personality and ability to connect with people. His time in office was marked by a focus on unity and healing in a divided country, and many are eager to see what he will do next.
With his new deal with CAA, Biden joins a roster of A-list clients in the entertainment industry. While details of the partnership have not been released, it is speculated that Biden may be looking to collaborate on projects such as documentaries, podcasts, or even scripted content.
As Biden embarks on this new chapter in his life, many are excited to see what the future holds for the former president. Will we see him on the big screen, behind the camera, or perhaps even on stage? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain – Joe Biden’s star power is still shining bright.

Washington — The Trump administration is developing an asylum agreement with El Salvador’s government that would allow the U.S. to deport migrants to the small Central American country who are not from there, two sources familiar with the internal deliberations told CBS News.
The arrangement, known as a “Safe Third Country” agreement, would empower U.S. immigration officials to deport non-Salvadoran migrants to El Salvador, blocking them from requesting asylum in the U.S. Instead, the migrants would be deported with instructions to seek asylum in El Salvador, which would be designated a “safe third country.”
The plan, if finalized, would revive an agreement the first Trump administration brokered with El Salvador’s government, though that accord was never implemented and was eventually terminated by former President Joe Biden’s administration.
A safe third country agreement could be a significant breakthrough for the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration plans, allowing it to deport migrants from different countries, including Venezuela, that limit or outright reject U.S. deportations of their citizens.

One of the internal plans under consideration would allow the U.S. to send deportation flights to El Salvador that include suspected members of Tren de Aragua, the Venezuelan gang that President Trump has made a focal point of his crackdown on illegal immigration. Hours after his inauguration, Mr. Trump directed officials to start the process of designating Tren de Aragua a terrorist group.
If that plan is implemented, it’s unclear how El Salvador would handle the deported gang members. Under President Nayib Bukele, the Salvadoran government has subdued El Salvador’s notorious gangs, including MS-13, through a mass incarceration campaign.
Bukele’s government is expected to be a key ally of the Trump administration. Bukele enjoys broad popularity in El Salvador, and among U.S. conservatives, mainly due to his anti-gang policies, which international groups say have involved due process violations.
The White House said Mr. Trump and Bukele spoke over the phone on Thursday and discussed “working together to stop illegal immigration and crack down on transnational gangs like Tren de Aragua.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has vowed to make curbing mass migration a top priority, is also scheduled to visit El Salvador in early February as part of a trip to Latin America set to start later this week.
Representatives for the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security and the White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Mr. Trump has already moved swiftly to start his sweeping immigration crackdown, giving deportation officers broader authorities to arrest and deport unauthorized immigrants, shutting down access to the asylum system at the U.S.-Mexico border and enlisting the vast resources of the American military for immigration enforcement through an emergency declaration.

Military planes are now being used to deport migrants crossing the southern border illegally, and additional active-duty troops have been deployed there to erect barriers designed to repel unlawful crossings. Longstanding federal law generally prohibits the military from engaging in civilian law enforcement.
A safe third country agreement would add yet another layer to Mr. Trump’s efforts to seal off U.S. borders to migrants and asylum-seekers, through both physical barriers and far-reaching policy changes.
It’s unclear how such an arrangement would interact with Mr. Trump’s other moves on asylum, including giving border agents the authority to rapidly deport migrants without allowing them to request legal refuge. His administration is also reinstating a rule, known as Remain-in-Mexico, that requires asylum claimants to stay outside of the U.S. while their cases are reviewed.
Currently, the U.S. has one safe third country agreement. Under that arrangement, the U.S. and Canadian governments exchange asylum claimants crossing their shared border. The first Trump administration forged asylum deals with Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Only the one with Guatemala ever took effect, and all three accords were suspended once Biden took office.
Camilo Montoya-Galvez is the immigration reporter at CBS News. Based in Washington, he covers immigration policy and politics.
In a recent development, President Donald Trump has set his sights on striking an asylum agreement with El Salvador in an effort to curb the influx of migrants entering the United States.
The proposed agreement would allow the U.S. to deport asylum seekers to El Salvador, a country that has been grappling with its own issues of violence and poverty. This move is seen as part of the Trump administration’s broader efforts to tighten immigration policies and deter migrants from making the journey to the U.S.
Critics of the potential agreement have raised concerns about the safety and well-being of asylum seekers being sent to El Salvador, a country with high levels of crime and gang violence. They argue that such a deal could put vulnerable individuals at risk and violate international refugee laws.
The Trump administration, however, maintains that the agreement would help alleviate the strain on the U.S. immigration system and discourage migrants from exploiting loopholes in the asylum process.
As discussions between the U.S. and El Salvador continue, the fate of asylum seekers and the implications of such an agreement remain uncertain. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic – The Battle for Caribbean Luxury: Hyatt Eyes Complete Takeover of Playa Hotels & Resort’s Kingdom!
In a move that could reshape the luxury hospitality landscape in the Caribbean, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is reportedly considering a complete takeover of Playa Hotels & Resorts, one of the region’s leading luxury hotel operators.
Playa Hotels & Resorts currently owns and operates a portfolio of all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, including popular properties like the Hyatt Ziva and Zilara brands. The company has been a major player in the Caribbean luxury market, offering guests high-end accommodations, gourmet dining, and top-notch amenities.
Hyatt’s interest in acquiring Playa Hotels & Resorts comes at a time when the tourism industry in the Caribbean is rebounding from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. With travel restrictions easing and demand for luxury hospitality experiences on the rise, Hyatt sees an opportunity to expand its presence in the region and capitalize on the growing demand for high-end resorts.
If the acquisition goes through, it could have far-reaching implications for the Caribbean luxury market. Hyatt’s global reach and reputation for excellence could bring new levels of sophistication and service to Playa Hotels & Resorts’ properties, while also opening up new opportunities for growth and expansion in the region.
As the battle for Caribbean luxury heats up, all eyes are on Hyatt and Playa Hotels & Resorts to see how this potential takeover will unfold. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as it continues to unfold.
IndiGo
is venturing for the long-haul. The airline is getting a headstart on its European expansion, reportedly calling on Norse Atlantic Airways for the capacity it needs ahead of its Airbus A350s start being delivered. The anticipated network is not at all insignificant.
The airline is eying service to important European hubs, namely Amsterdam, London and Paris, local media reports believe. Amsterdam is more certain. Flights from Mumbai and Delhi are in the works.
Deliveries are expected from 2027, giving the airline’s competition plenty of time to prepare and solidify their position in the India-Europe market (at least, primarily). But IndiGo knows this, of course.
Photo: Norse Atlantic
Near the end of last month, IndiGo confirmed that it is searching for widebody capacity in the meantime. Local reports suggested that IndiGo had signed an agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for six Boeing 787 aircraft which will be used in the interim to launch long-haul flights. In an earnings call, CEO Peter Elbers said:
“Subject to regulator proposals, we are exploring interim solutions for the earlier introduction of long-range aircraft to our fleet through wet leases. Route and network opportunities are being explored at present and we will communicate as and when they are finalised.”
The deal will help IndiGo achieve its goals of starting long-haul international service as early as 2025, including to London and Paris.
Amsterdam-bound
According to Hindu Business Line, IndiGo has applied for slots at Amsterdam’s congested Schiphol Airport (AMS). The airline hopes to launch services from the two major Indian airports, Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). In this tentative plan, flights from each of the hubs would operate daily.
Peter Elbers, a Dutchman born and raised in The Netherlands, confirmed that Amsterdam was being considered. That being said, does Elbers want a direct route home or does the route make sense – or indeed, both? In an interview with De Telegraaf, the airline boss said:
“We are always looking for opportunities and are looking for aircraft with which we could do that. The Netherlands is an interesting market, because of the Indian community and companies.”
Photo: IndiGo
According to OAG booking data for the 12 months ending July 2024, just under 117,000 two-way passengers traveled between Amsterdam and Delhi. Meanwhile, from Mumbai, this figure stands at about 70,000 people. There’s a solid market to justify the new routes, especially considering the catchment area beyond Delhi and Mumbai should the carrier look at attracting connecting traffic. A sizeable amount of passengers also traveled between Amsterdam and the following cities in the Indian subcontinent.
Colombo (CMB)
Bengaluru (BLR)
Chennai (MAA)
Male (MLE)
Hyderabad (HYD)
A threat to Europe’s airlines
IndiGo’s low-fare model and extensive network in the Indian subcontinent and beyond makes it a viable competitor to the existing airlines on the market. Between India and the Netherlands, KLM and Air India both offer flights, which are listed below.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines: Bengaluru (BLR), Delhi (DEL) and Mumbai (BOM)
Air India: Delhi (DEL)
KLM’s near-monopoly on flights in this market will be significantly challenged should IndiGo decide to go through with its plan this summer. More broadly, with most airlines in Western Europe facing Russian airspace restrictions limiting service to the Far East, India was one of the few remaining significant Asian gateways for expansion.
Photo: KLM
For the 12 months ending December 2025, European airlines have scheduled over 12,300 flights on the India-Europe market, the majority therefore of the nearly 20,000 planned according to Cirium data.
This does not include IndiGo’s possible services as details are not set in stone just yet.
A threat to Air India
Air India contributes 6,300 flights to make up the remainder, complemented by Air Canada’s 150 with its Calgary-London-Delhi service. Air India is clearly in a bit of trouble with IndiGo’s planned European expansion.
Based purely on a number of flights, IndiGo’s position in the Indian domestic market far exceeds that of the runner-up, Air India. Take a look at the table below based on Cirium data for the 12 months ending December 2025.
Airline
Domestic flights scheduled in 2025
IndiGo
697,000
Air India
185,000
Air India Express
126,000
SpiceJet
50,000
Akasa Air
47,000
Photo: Air India
Whether Air India will be able to keep up is another question. The carrier already has a well-solidified position on the international scene, primarily in the long-haul market. Its recent merger with Vistara further contributes to this market position, while aircraft orders mean deliveries of new planes over the next years will only serve to reinforce it. Air India might not be in as much trouble as the European airlines.
The Indian flag carrier appears to be behind the purchase.
One thing is clear, though. Even a passing glance shows that IndiGo’s entry into the European market (aside from existing service to Istanbul) is bad news for everyone else. It’s just a matter of time.
IndiGo Eyes Break To Air India-KLM Duopoly With New Amsterdam Flights This Summer
Indian budget airline IndiGo is set to challenge the dominant duopoly of Air India and KLM on the lucrative Amsterdam route this summer. The airline announced plans to launch new flights between Delhi and Amsterdam, offering travelers more options and competitive pricing.
With the current duopoly controlling the majority of the market share on the route, passengers have often faced limited choices and high fares. IndiGo’s entry into the market is expected to bring much-needed competition and shake up the status quo.
The new flights are scheduled to begin in the summer season, providing a convenient option for travelers looking to explore Amsterdam’s vibrant culture and picturesque canals. IndiGo’s reputation for offering affordable fares and reliable service is likely to attract a significant number of passengers.
By expanding its international network and challenging established players, IndiGo is positioning itself as a major player in the global aviation industry. With its focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, the airline is poised to make a significant impact on the Amsterdam route this summer.
Travelers can look forward to more choices, better prices, and enhanced convenience when flying between Delhi and Amsterdam with IndiGo. Keep an eye out for updates on flight schedules and booking information as the launch date approaches. Get ready to experience a new era of competition and choice in the skies this summer with IndiGo’s exciting new flights to Amsterdam.
Ejim led all scorers with 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, finishing 15 points shy of surpassing Heather Bowman’s record of 2,165 career points.
The guard battled foul trouble early, picking up her fourth foul with 20 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Although she spent most of the fourth quarter on the bench, Ejim returned with fewer than five minutes remaining and dominated down the stretch.
Gonzaga head coach Lisa Fortier praised her squad’s resilience during Ejim’s absence.
“Our team did a really nice job of weathering that storm when she was out. That’s something we talk about all the time,” Fortier said. “She is certainly the leader in charge, but we have a lot of other players who play really well. I certainly don’t like it when she’s out of the game, but I like to have her as an option because I think we play really well together when she’s in, too.”
Gonzaga fans would love nothing more than to see Ejim break the record at home when Gonzaga hosts Washington State next Saturday. However, the Bulldogs will head to Saint Mary’s next Thursday, and her teammates would rather she continue her dominance than save the record for a home game.
“Please don’t only score 14 next game just to get it here,” Gonzaga freshman guard Allie Turner said with a laugh.
When asked if she would rather break the record at home, Ejim said she doesn’t care where it happens — just that it does.
“I’ve thought about that [breaking it at home vs. on the road] in the back of my head. I’d like it to be at home, but again, we just got to play basketball and I don’t get a say in it. It would be cool to do it in the Kennel, but I just want to do it for Gonzaga, so I do care. But I don’t really care, I can’t really care,” she said with a smile.
The Bulldogs will hit the road to face Saint Mary’s on Thursday before returning home to host Washington State at 2 p.m. You can watch Gonzaga vs. Washington State live on SWX and stream it on SWXLocalSports.com.

Ejim has been a standout player for the Bulldogs, consistently putting up impressive numbers on the court.
The senior guard has been a key contributor to Gonzaga’s success this season, leading the team in scoring and assists.
Ejim’s scoring prowess has caught the attention of Gonzaga fans and basketball enthusiasts alike.
With just a few games left in the season, Ejim is on track to surpass the all-time scoring record set by a Gonzaga legend.
The record-setting game is set to take place on the road next Thursday, where Ejim will have the opportunity to etch his name into Gonzaga’s history books.
Gonzaga fans are buzzing with excitement as they anticipate Ejim’s historic moment.
The Bulldogs will be counting on Ejim to lead them to victory and make history in the process.
Ejim’s journey to the top of Gonzaga’s scoring list has been filled with hard work, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
He has overcome challenges and setbacks along the way, but his determination and resilience have propelled him towards greatness.
As Ejim prepares to make history, he is focused on the task at hand and remains humble in the face of his impending accomplishment.

Liverpool head to Bournemouth knowing they are up against the Premier League‘s most in-form team, who have scored 16 goals in their last four top-flight matches.
Bournemouth vs. Liverpool at the Dean Court promises goals aplenty, but then so did the Reds’ recent narrow 2-0 win at Brentford.
What we can guarantee, though, is that both teams will be confident in their own abilities going into the game, and neither will be willing to compromise too much on their principles.
In-form opposition
Bournemouth‘s attacking trio of Justin Kluivert, Dango Ouattara and Antoine Semenyo have scored 14 goals between them in their last four matches, netting six, five and three respectively in that time.
The Cherries’ best-ever top-flight points tally came last season when they managed a total of 48 points, ensuring a finish of 12th. They currently have 40 points with 15 matches still to play.
Andoni Iraola’s team are currently 13 points better off than at the same stage of last season’s campaign. They are currently on a club record 11-match unbeaten run in top-flight football (seven wins and four draws).
Liverpool aren’t in bad shape themselves, though, of course.
The Reds have won all 14 league games this season when they have scored the game’s first goal and have won 23 of 24 such matches in all competitions.
They are unbeaten in their last 18 league games (13 wins and five draws) since the 1-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest in September.
Mo Salah moving up the charts
As ever, another game brings another chance for Mo Salah to move up the various goalscoring charts.
The Egyptian is the highest scorer in the history of this fixture, with nine goals in 11 appearances.
One more goal would see Liverpool’s No. 11 join Frank Lampard in joint-sixth on the Premier League‘s highest goalscorers list, with 177 goals.
He also needs to score just once to register 20 league goals in a season for the club for the fifth time and the first occasion since 2021-22.
Salah is fourth on Liverpool’s all-time list of top goalscorers, seven behind Gordon Hodgson who managed 241 in 377 appearances from 1926 to 1935.
Liverpool: Salah 23, Gakpo 15, Diaz 12, Jota 8, Nunez 6, Szoboszlai 4, Elliott 3, Jones 3, Mac Allister 3, Alexander-Arnold 2, Konate 2, Van Dijk 2, Chiesa 1, Danns 1
