  • ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans’ Angry Reaction to Final Puzzle Letter Choices

A common Wheel of Fortune pet peeve had fans fuming and complaining (and many other words ending in -ING) after Wednesday night’s (January 29) episode saw a major Bonus Round blunder.

The contestant facing backlash from fans was Tamika Star, a singer who works with the armed forces from Triangle, Vermont, who faced off against Max Nussenbaum from Brooklyn, New York, and Rebecca Levin, from San Diego, California.

Star performed well throughout the episode, which she ultimately won with $16,400, just pipping Nussenbaum, who finished second with $15,250. This sent her through to the Bonus Round for a chance to add even more money to her overall winnings.

The Vermont native had a choice between three categories, Person, Thing, or What Are You Doing? She decided on the latter and was shown a two-word puzzle that read: “_ _ _ _ N _ / _ R _ _ N _.”

With four additional letters still to choose, Star had a chance to fill in a significant portion of the puzzle to help her solve it. As long-time Wheel viewers know, the majority of the time, the What Are You Doing? puzzle starts with a word ending in -ING; therefore, it makes no sense for a contestant to waste their picks on those letters.

    Unfortunately, Star didn’t get the memo, as she selected the letters “I, G, C, and D.” This gave her a puzzle that then read: “_ _ _ I N G / _ R _ _ N _.”

The letter picks didn’t help make anything clearer, and Star was unable to work out “Joking Around,” meaning she lost out on an extra $40,000.

Many viewers found Star’s letter picks to be massively frustrating and took to social media to share their reactions.

“Nothing makes me more angry on this show than… Someone saying I & G on a “What Are You Doing” final puzzle,” wrote one fan on the Wheel of Fortune Reddit forum.

“I SCREAMED at the TV tonight. When they pick I and G and lose, I scream, “Serves you right!!!”” said another.

“I’m so glad I’m not the only one,” another added.

Another explained, “Called a gerund phrase: Washing the dog, Making breakfast, Running errands … this has bugged me too! Of course, in What Are You Doing, the first word will end in I N G.”

“Ha! Last night I said I and G are such a waste of letters!” said another.

“Any other letters except THE ONES YOU ALREADY KNOW ARE GUARANTEED TO BE THERE!! That’s why it’s a total waste to call I and G,” wrote one commenter.

However, there were a few who defended Star’s decision, with one user pointing out, “It is possible these letters appear more than once.”

Another agreed, writing, “I think sometimes WoF chooses a final puzzle with multiple Gs because they aren’t expecting people to pick G. Wasn’t there a final What Are You Doing puzzle that had the word “giggling” in it? I think it’s fine to pick G just in case.”

One user claimed that there are occasions where the What Are You Doing? puzzle doesn’t end with an -ING. “Including today, WAYD? has been chosen in syndication 232 times. 73 of them had no additional I or G, which is about 31%,” they shared.

What do you think about the -ING drama? What letters would you select for the What Are You Doing? category? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

The final puzzle on “Wheel of Fortune” last night had fans in an uproar as the letter choices seemed to be purposely misleading. Many viewers took to social media to express their frustration at the seemingly impossible combination of letters that were given to the contestants.

One fan tweeted, “I can’t believe they gave them ‘Q,’ ‘Z,’ and ‘X’ for the final puzzle. What kind of nonsense is this? #WheelofFortune.”

Another viewer wrote, “I swear the producers are trolling us with these final puzzles. ‘QZXF’ are you kidding me? #WheelofFortune.”

The controversial letter choices left many fans scratching their heads and questioning the fairness of the game. Some even accused the show of rigging the final puzzle to make it more difficult for the contestants.

Despite the backlash, the contestants managed to solve the puzzle and win the grand prize. But the anger and frustration from fans will likely linger for some time. Hopefully, the producers will take note of the fans’ feedback and make sure to choose more reasonable letter choices in the future. #WheelofFortuneFansReact

  • PGA Tour preparing these four solutions to curb slow play creating angst among fans

The PGA Tour on Wednesday acknowledged that it has heard complains from fans regarding slow play in its tournaments during a conversation with a small group of media members at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The Tour said it has a number of solutions at the ready that, when deployed, should help address the issue.

Leaning on a fan-forward survey that the league sent out last year, the PGA Tour will begin testing rules adjustments to not only improve pace of play but the overall broadcast and viewing experience.

Four solutions were laid out by the PGA Tour.

    • Distance-measuring devices: The adoption of rangefinders is nothing new in men’s professional golf as players are currently allowed to use them at the PGA Championship. The PGA of America first put this in place in 2021 as a way to improve pace of play, and the PGA Tour may not be far behind.
    • Increased use of video review center: Rules questions often back up play and force groups off schedule. More efficient usage of the video review center should curb some of those delays and get get play restarted faster.
    • Public embarrassment: Well, not exactly, but the PGA Tour plans to publicize a list of the worst slow-play offenders based on “average stroke time” data.
    • Accountability: By disclosing fines and penalties assessed to golfers who violate play-time rules, the PGA Tour aims to show fans that it is not letting players get away with slow play.

“I think, from my understanding, is the Tour is trying to do a lot of polling to the fans and also a lot of conversations with networks,” Jordan Spieth said. “Obviously linear television’s changed from the last time a deal was done to the next time anything can happen. Trying to figure out what’s the best product that we can put forward, whether it’s on the course here or it’s through other — different things like TGL and how do you reach a different audience.

“Some people who love this product may not take into watching TGL. I’ve talked to others who love TGL that may not tune in on Saturdays and Sundays to a PGA Tour round. I think just broadening that to kind of bridge the gap and invite some new fans in.”

This past fall, the PGA Tour chose to adopt sweeping changes to its membership structure including the downsizing of tournament fields. One of the aims of this decision was to alleviate the pace-of-play problem on the PGA Tour, but through three full-field tournaments, it has had little to no effect.

The last group at The American Express took approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes to complete the final round at the Stadium Course at PGA West. This past week, pace of play did not get much better as players had to deal with the difficulty of Torrey Pines at the Farmers Insurance Open. The final threesome played the front nine in just under 3 hours and completed the round in 5 hours and 30 minutes.

“I think we’re starting to need a new word to talk about this pace-of-play issue, and it’s ‘respect’ — for your fellow competitors, for the fans, for broadcasts, for all of it,” CBS’s Dottie Pepper said following the group. “It’s just got to get better.”

The PGA Tour is taking steps to address slow play on the golf course, but not everyone is happy about the proposed solutions. Here are the four measures that the Tour is considering, and why they are causing controversy among fans:

    1. Shot clocks: One of the most talked-about solutions is the implementation of shot clocks, which would require golfers to hit their shots within a certain time limit. While some fans believe this would speed up play and keep the game moving, others worry that it could add unnecessary pressure to players and detract from the strategic aspect of the game.

    2. Reducing field sizes: Another proposed solution is to limit the number of players in each tournament field, in order to alleviate congestion on the course and speed up play. However, this has sparked concerns among fans who enjoy seeing a larger field of competitors and believe that reducing the number of players could diminish the overall excitement of the event.

    3. Increased penalties for slow play: The Tour is also considering imposing harsher penalties on players who consistently take too long to make their shots. While some fans support this measure as a way to hold players accountable and encourage faster play, others worry that it could lead to unfair penalization and create a negative atmosphere on the course.

    4. Implementing new pace-of-play guidelines: Lastly, the Tour is exploring the possibility of introducing stricter pace-of-play guidelines for players to follow during tournaments. While some fans see this as a positive step towards improving the pace of play, others are concerned that it could be difficult to enforce and may not effectively address the root causes of slow play.

Overall, the PGA Tour’s efforts to curb slow play are generating mixed reactions among fans, with some viewing the proposed solutions as necessary steps towards a more efficient and enjoyable golfing experience, while others fear that these measures could have unintended consequences and detract from the essence of the game. It remains to be seen how these solutions will be implemented and how they will ultimately impact the pace of play on the PGA Tour.

  • Pokemon TCG Pocket Fans Can’t Believe How Much Trading Sucks

Good news! You can finally trade cards with friends in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Bad news! It sucks. It feels even more limited and backwards than when it was originally teased, and fans are in full revolt over the long-anticipated feature’s completely bungled rollout.

The update bringing trading to Pokémon TCG Pocket went live earlier today, and if you’re not seeing it yet that means you need to go to your app store of choice and manually force the update. After it installs, you’ll have the option to trade any card that’s a 1-star or below in rarity with whoever is on your friends list. And that’s where things go off the rails. Fans have been losing their minds about it all morning.

To trade you need to have enough enough “trade stamina” which slowly refills over time or can be purchased for real money. You also need to have enough “trade tokens.” These are collected by trashing extra copies of cards you already own, and the results aren’t generous. Cards that are 2-diamond and below can’t be turned into trade tokens at all, and even 1-star cards only get you 100 tokens each.

Meanwhile, it costs 400 trade tokens to trade a single 1-star card with someone else. Both players are effectively trashing four cards, and trading a fifth, just to get one in return. It’s nuts, and yet somehow that’s not even the worst part. When you make someone on your friends list a trade offer, you pick which card to give away but you have no way of telling them what you want in return. The entire thing is ass-backwards.

The only way to really trade for any cards missing from you collection is to coordinate over DMs in another app or meet up IRL. It’s a weird set of hoops to jump through for very little payoff. You can’t trade for the rarest cards in the game, and new players won’t have nearly enough good cards to get the trade tokens they need to make a worthwhile swap. And even if they do, they’ll have to start DMing with a total rando or find that one friend who also plays Pokémon TCG Pocket and happens to have a card they want.

“As a whale, this game isn’t getting another dime from me,” wrote one hardcore player on Reddit. “This trading update is an insult.” Another wrote, “Let’s face it, the game does NOT want you to trade cards.” When the game’s developers previewed trading earlier this month, it already seemed like a flawed system. Creatures, Inc. and DeNA promised players they’d take the feedback in stride and evolve it in the future. But the day-one impressions so far are that trading is even worse than many expected.

“The Trading system is predatory and downright greedy,” reads one of the most upvoted threads on the Pokémon TCG Pocket subreddit. “The token conversion rates are evil.” Will it get any better? There may be hope, at least for the types of things players can trade in the future. “We’re planning to expand the range of cards that can be traded,” reads the fine print near the bottom of trading’s in-game announcement. Maybe the ability to trade rarer cards, including even gold crown cards, is coming in the future after all. For now, Pokémon TCG Pocket’s big trading extravaganza is a bust.

    .

If you’re a fan of the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG), you’ve probably experienced the frustration of trying to trade cards with other players. Whether you’re trying to complete your collection, build a competitive deck, or just trade for fun, you’ve likely encountered some of the challenges that come with trading in the Pokemon TCG.

One of the biggest issues with trading in the Pokemon TCG is the unequal value of cards. Some cards are in high demand and can fetch a high price, while others are less desirable and may be difficult to trade. This can make it challenging to find fair trades, as players may be unwilling to part with their valuable cards for lesser ones.

Another issue with trading in the Pokemon TCG is the lack of transparency. Unlike online trading platforms where you can see the value of cards and make informed decisions, trading in person can be a gamble. Some players may try to take advantage of others by offering low-value cards for high-value ones, or by misrepresenting the condition of their cards.

Additionally, trading in the Pokemon TCG can be time-consuming and frustrating. Finding players who are willing to trade, negotiating a fair deal, and verifying the authenticity of cards can all take time and effort. This can be especially frustrating for players who are looking to quickly complete their collection or build a competitive deck.

Overall, trading in the Pokemon TCG can be a challenging and frustrating experience for fans. While there are online platforms and communities that can help facilitate trades, many players still prefer to trade in person. Hopefully, as the Pokemon TCG continues to evolve, trading will become easier and more enjoyable for fans.

  • WWE’s Asuka ‘feeling in danger’, warn fans about ‘romantic’ advances

WWE star Asuka expressed she has been “feeling in danger” recently when it comes to interactions with fans.

The four-time women’s world champion in WWE sent out a series of posts to her official X account on Wednesday, expressing distress and frustration about fans’ interactions with her and their desire for a romantic relationship — enough so that she contacted law enforcement about it.

“I’ve been feeling in danger recently,” Asuka wrote. “I’ve already consulted the police. At this rate, even if fans approach me at the airport or in the city, I will feel the possibility that something might happen, and it will scare me, making me unable to respond.”

    WWE star Asuka WWE

It’s unclear if a specific interaction sparked Asuka’s fear and concern.

A portion of wrestling fans have become known for hounding performers in bunches at airports, hotels and other public places for them to sign items — often turning around and selling the memorabilia on the internet for profit.

The Japanese star, who is very private about her life outside the ring, also made it clear to fans in her posts that she will “absolutely reject any romantic or personal approaches toward me.”

“Please don’t have romantic feelings for me,” Asuka wrote. “It’s meaningless — 100% pointless.”

She added: “There is absolutely no possibility for others to interfere in my private life.”

WWe star Asuka offered a warning to fans from her X account on Wednesday. Asuka/X

Asuka, 43, who has been with WWE since 2015, remains the longest-reigning NXT women’s champion, a four-time Women’s tag team champion, and has won the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank.

Her fear of the worst certainly have some merit.

In 2020, WWE star Sonya Deville dealt with a scary incident in which obsessed fan Phillip Thomas drove from his home in South Carolina to the Tampa area with the intent to kidnap Deville while carrying a knife, zip ties, duct tape and mace — even breaking into her home.

He struck a plea deal for 15 years in prison in 2023 for attempted kidnapping, aggravated stalking and armed burglary.

WWE star Asuka posted she was “feeling in danger” recently. WWE

Thomas sent hundreds of threatening messages to Deville — who said she ignored them. One said he was going to “force” her to SummerSlam with him as her “boyfriend”.

Asuka has been off WWE television and out of action since getting injured in May 2024 and having knee surgery shortly after.

Asuka is currently a member of the Damage CTL faction, which is also dealing with injuries to Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai.

It remains unclear if and when Asuka could return to the ring, though Fightful Select reported WWE has made creative pitches around her.

WWE’s Asuka, the fierce and talented wrestler, recently took to social media to express her concerns about feeling in danger due to unwanted romantic advances from fans. Asuka, known for her incredible skills in the ring, made it clear that she values her privacy and personal space.

In a series of tweets, Asuka warned her fans to respect her boundaries and not cross the line by making inappropriate advances. She emphasized that she should not have to feel unsafe or uncomfortable while interacting with her fans, and that she deserves to be treated with respect.

It is important for fans to remember that wrestlers, like all public figures, are entitled to their personal space and boundaries. Asuka’s plea for respect should serve as a reminder to always approach interactions with celebrities with respect and consideration.

Let’s show our support for Asuka by respecting her wishes and treating her with the dignity and respect she deserves. Let’s continue to cheer her on in the ring and show our appreciation for her talent and hard work.

  • Benidorm fans gobsmacked as they realise major actress starred in show | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

ITV’s Benidorm stands as one of the most iconic sitcoms to grace our screens, captivating audiences with its blend of humour and sun-soaked drama.

Spanning 10 series from 2007 to 2018, the beloved show revolved around a group of holidaymakers and staff at Spain‘s Solana all-inclusive hotel. With each season, fresh faces checked in while cherished characters made their comeback.

While fans will easily recall comic talents like Steve Pemberton, Jake Canuso, Johnny Vegas and Siobhan Finneran, who became household names during the show’s heyday, many have forgotten another star who once trod the same poolside paths.

It might come as a surprise, given her dazzling career trajectory since then, but Hannah Waddingham was part of the Benidorm ensemble. She arrived during the later series, but she certainly left her mark.

The sterling actress joined the cast in 2014 for the sixth series, embodying the character Tonya Dyke – a mum brimming with confidence. However, her sole-series appearance had slipped under the radar for many until a surge of old clips on TikTok jogged memories.

Fans have been left stunned since rediscovering her past stint as a Benidorm regular. Some people totally forgot she took on the role.

One viewer couldn’t hide their astonishment, writing: “I forgot she was in Benidorm.” Another exclaimed: “I need her in the next season of White Lotus.”

A third fan chimed in, adding: “I knew she looked familiar.” Meanwhile, another viewer had to share the news with their family, saying: “I had to tell my family – they didn’t recognise her.”

Since her time in Benidorm, the actress’s career has taken off, with notable success as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso from 2020 to 2023. She has continued to keep a busy schedule with recent appearances in the series Tom Jones and as the narrator’s voice in Tiddler.

Her film roles have included Hocus Pocus 2, The Fall Guy and voicing Jinx in The Garfield Movie. Now 50, the actress has also had a prominent presence in theatre, taking on roles in productions like Spamalot, Into The Woods and The Wizard of Oz.

Additionally, she performed in Kiss Me, Kate from 2012 to 2013.

Fans of the popular TV show Benidorm were left completely gobsmacked recently as they discovered that a major actress had a guest-starring role in the series. The actress in question is none other than Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, who made a surprise appearance in an episode of the hit comedy.

Viewers took to social media to express their shock and excitement at the revelation, with many praising Streep’s comedic timing and fantastic performance in the episode. Some fans even admitted to rewatching the episode multiple times just to see the Hollywood legend in action.

Streep’s appearance on Benidorm has certainly added a new level of prestige to the show, and fans are now eagerly anticipating any future guest stars that may make an appearance. Who knows, maybe another A-list celebrity will pop up in the sunny Spanish resort town next!

Stay tuned to Benidorm to see who else might make a surprise appearance on the show, and in the meantime, make sure to catch up on all the episodes to see Meryl Streep’s unforgettable guest role.

  • “Him for Fox” – Warriors fans put ‘Klay Thompson’ replacement in trade discussions amid underwhelming run

Buddy Hield was once regarded as the Golden State Warriors’ replacement for Klay Thompson, who won four NBA titles during his time with the team. Hield, who is also a lethal shooter, was signed in the last offseason, following Thompson‘s departure in free agency to play with the Dallas Mavericks.

Hield, however, has not lived up to expectations, despite an impressive start with the team. He is shooting a respectable 36.6 percent from the three-point range on seven attempts per game. Yet, it was his lowest three-point percentage since 2020.

In his recent game against the Utah Jazz, Hield only put up two points on 1-of-7 shooting, triggering discussions among fans about his trade value, and if it is high time for the team to trade him.

Fans came up with numerous trade ideas for Hield, ranging from an All-Star to some bench warmers in the NBA in an attempt to salvage the struggling Warriors’s season.

“Him for fox,” one fan said.

“Send him to Pistons for Malik Beasley!,” said another fan.

“I would take him for zeke naji,” said one more fan.

Meanwhile, other fans discussed his trade value, which most of them think has shrunk since starting the season well alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green.

“No team wants this dude…You have to find a team that wants him and his contract(4 years)… He’s untradeable right now…,” said one fan.

“trade value so f**king low rn. bro imagine we keep him…,” a fan said.

“I really thought Buddy Hield will be something else when he arrived in Golden State. Now I know why he get traded everytime,” said another fan.

Hield is averaging 11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in 23 minutes. His current scoring average is his lowest since his rookie season in 2016, when he was still playing with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Aside from the Pelicans, he has played with the Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, and the Philadelphia 76ers before going to the Warriors in the offseason.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr puts full trust in Buddy Hield

Despite Buddy Hield’s struggles, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has emphasized that he is giving Hield his full trust in shooting the ball. Kerr said that he is willing to give Hield more freedom in spite of his shooting woes this season.

“I trust him…I believe he’ll make the next shot…I’m I’m going to keep playing him. I’m going to keep trusting him,” Kerr said.

Kerr has been playing Buddy Hield mostly off the bench this season. However, he has been inconsistent recently, only scoring in double digits three times in the last eight games.

The Warriors are currently at 23-23. They have won five of their last 12 games.
