Providence vs St. John’s College Basketball Betting Preview

Providence lost star scorer Bryce Hopkins to a season-ending injury after he played in just three games this season, and the Friars have been in a rut without him in the lineup.

Overall, this Providence team plays a bland style of basketball on both ends of the floor. Offensively, the Friars don’t shoot exceptionally well, turn the ball over too much and dribble too much. Defensively, they struggle to force turnovers and feel overly dependent on the shooting prowess of their opponent.

This has led to a murky season, with just one win over a top-50 KenPom opponent, which came in Hopkins’ brief time on the court.

In Big East play, the Friars have won five games against bad teams and lost five games to better teams. Without any discernible skills to lean on, this team feels destined to plod along without radically overperforming or underperforming expectations.

A chance to dance in March is now firmly out of reach, with a minor miracle required over the last six weeks of the regular season.

With a team of mostly upperclassmen and no stand-outs, the Friars feel like a team lost in the woods.

Rick Pitino’s Johnnies have a chance to make real noise this season. The Red Storm have lost just one game since Thanksgiving and haven’t lost a game by more than one possession all year.

St. John’s has done this while spitting in the face of modern analytical thinking, scoring the third-highest percentage of points via 2-point buckets in the country.

St. John’s doesn’t take a lot of 3s, largely because the Red Storm aren’t good at shooting them. Instead, RJ Luis Jr. and Kadary Richmond attack off the dribble, Zuby Ejiofor works in the post and everybody in a St. John’s uniform swarms the offensive glass.

What this team lacks in the added value of 3-pointers, it earns back with second-chance points.

Even when that gambit doesn’t work. St. John’s is confident it can win games defensively. The Red Storm rank fourth in defensive efficiency and best in the Big East.

In 10 Big East games this season, St. John’s is allowing 86.2 points per 100 possessions, per KenPom; second-best in the conference is Marquette at 98.1 points per 100 possessions.

That gap between St. John’s and Marquette’s defensive efficiency is roughly the same as the distance between second-place Marquette and seventh-place UConn. That 86.2 points mark is the best among power conference teams, second to just Southern in the SWAC.

No Big East team has allowed under 90 points per 100 possessions in conference play since the league was re-aligned in 2014, with 2016’s national champion Villanova team setting the low-mark at 95.3.

That’s the kind of defense that travels and can win any game. In January home games versus Butler and Xavier — plus a road game at Xavier — St. John’s combined to shoot 4-of-49 from outside the arc. The Johnnies won all three games.

Providence vs. St. John’s Betting Analysis

When the Friars got their first shot at St. John’s, the game was close. St. John’s escaped with a two-point win. That game came in Providence, while this one tips at Madison Square Garden, where things should be different.

Providence stayed close in the first meeting thanks to a 3-of-18 outside shooting day by the Johnnies (17%).

Elsewhere on the court, St. John’s had the upper hand, nabbing 18 offensive rebounds and forcing 17 Providence turnovers.

This Providence offense isn’t built to withstand the pressure faced by the St. John’s defense. Providence is last in the Big East in assist rate and second-to-last in coughing up turnovers.

Playing with tunnel vision against this Red Storm squad is asking for it, especially without a high-level shotmaker to convert those assist-free looks.

I have trouble seeing Providence squeaking its way past the 60-point mark, and I even took an alternate team total under of 58.5 at +240 at DraftKings.

Providence vs St. John’s Predictions, Picks, Odds for Saturday, February 1

The Providence Friars will face off against the St. John’s Red Storm in a highly anticipated college basketball matchup on Saturday, February 1. Both teams are looking to secure a crucial win as they vie for a spot in the postseason.

Providence comes into this game with a record of 11-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play. The Friars have been inconsistent this season, but they have shown flashes of brilliance with wins over top-ranked teams. Led by star guard Alpha Diallo, Providence will look to make a statement against St. John’s.

On the other hand, St. John’s has struggled recently, losing three of their last four games. The Red Storm are currently 13-9 overall and 2-7 in conference play. Despite their recent struggles, St. John’s has the talent to compete with any team in the country.

In terms of predictions, this game is shaping up to be a close battle between two evenly matched teams. Providence has the edge with their experience and depth, but St. John’s has the potential to pull off an upset on their home court.

As for picks, the smart money may be on Providence to come out on top in a hard-fought contest. However, St. John’s is capable of pulling off the upset, especially if they can get their offense going early.

As for the odds, Providence is currently listed as a slight favorite with a spread of -2.5 points. The over/under for total points scored is set at 143.5.

Overall, this game has all the makings of an exciting and competitive showdown between two talented teams. Be sure to tune in on Saturday, February 1, to see who comes out on top in this Providence vs St. John’s matchup.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has come a long way since its early days of no-weight-classes brawls. Back in 1993, when Art Jimmerson famously walked into the octagon wearing one boxing glove, nobody could have predicted the global phenomenon it would become.

Now, in 2025, the UFC is heading into an action-packed February with four killer events that will keep fight fans glued to their screens. Here, we have compiled a list of UFC events for February 2025, and they are phenomenal!

UFC Fight Night: Adesanya vs. Imavov

Let’s kick things off with UFC Saudi Arabia on February 1st, where Israel Adesanya is making his first non-title fight appearance in six years. The former middleweight champ, known for his matrix-like striking and anime-inspired walkouts, faces Nassourdine Imavov.

After dropping his belt to Sean Strickland and then losing to Dricus Du Plessis, Adesanya’s probably hoping the third time’s the charm. The card also features the UFC middleweight debut of Michael “Venom” Page against Shara Magomedov, which should be a striking fan’s dream come true.

    Main Card:

Israel Adesanya vs. Nassourdine Imavov  Middleweight
Shara Magomedov vs. Michael ‘Venom’ Page Middleweight
Sergei Pavlovich vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik  Heavyweight
Said Nurmagomedov vs. Vinicius Oliveira  Bantamweight
Fares Ziam vs. Mike Davis Lightweight

    Prelims:

Muhammad Naimov vs. Kaan Ofli Featherweight
Shamil Gaziev vs. Thomas Petersen Heavyweight
Terrance McKinney vs. Damir Hadzovic Lightweight
Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Mayra Bueno Silva Women’s flyweight
Bogdan Grad vs. Lucas Alexander Featherweight
Hamdy Abdelwahab vs. Jamal Pogues Heavyweight

UFC 312: Du Plessis vs. Strickland 2

Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis are running it back at UFC 312 in Sydney on February 9th. Their first fight was a nail-biter that ended in a split decision, with ‘Stillknocks’ taking the belt. The trash talk between these two has been wild – no surprise there if fans know anything about Strickland!

Reigning champion Zhang Weili is also defending her strawweight title against submission specialist Tatiana Suarez on the co-main event of the same card.

    Main Card:

Dricus du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland Middleweight (title fight)
Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez Strawweight (title fight)
Justin Tafa vs. Tallison Teixeira  Heavyweight
Jimmy Crute vs. Rodolfo Bellato  Light Heavyweight
Jake Matthews vs. Francisco Prado Welterweight

    Prelims:

Jack Jenkins vs. Gabriel Santos Featherweight
Tom Nolan vs. Viacheslav Borshchev Lightweight
Wang Cong vs. Bruna Brasil Women’s flyweight
Colby Thicknesse vs. Aleksandre Topuria  Bantamweight

    Early Prelims:

Jonathan Micallef vs. Kevin Jousset Welterweight
Quillan Salkilld vs. Anshul Jubli Lightweight
Hyunsung Park vs. Nyamjargal Tumendemberel  Flyweight

    UFC Fight Night 251

The action moves to Las Vegas on February 15th for UFC Vegas 102 (Fight Night 251), where Jared “The Killa Gorilla” Cannonier faces Gregory Rodrigues. There was a time when Cannonier used to fight at heavyweight. Now, he is looking lean and mean at middleweight, trying to climb to a title shot.

Calvin Kattar, who once absorbed nearly 500 strikes in a single fight against Max Holloway, returns in the co-main event against Youssef Zalal. He will be looking to end his 3- fight losing streak.

    Main Card:

Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues Middleweight
Calvin Kattar vs. Youssef Zalal Featherweight
Edmen Shahbazyan vs. Dylan Budka Middleweight
Ismael Bonfim vs. Nazim Sadykhov Lightweight
Rodolfo Vieira vs. Andre Petroski  Middleweight
Connor Matthews vs. Jose Delgado Featherweight

    Prelims:

Angela Hill vs. Ketlen Souza Women’s Strawweight
Jared Gordon vs. Kaue Fernandes Lightweight
Rafael Estevam vs. Jesus Santos Aguilar  Flyweight
Gabriel Bonfim vs. Khaos Williams Welterweight
Vince Morales vs. Elijah Smith  Bantamweight
Valter Walker vs. Don’Tale Mayes Heavyweight
Julia Avila vs. Jacqueline Cavalcanti  Women’s Bantamweight

UFC Seattle: Henry Cejudo vs. Song Yadong

The month wraps up in Seattle on February 22nd with a banger between Henry Cejudo and Song Yadong. ‘Triple C’, the only person to simultaneously hold Olympic gold and two UFC belts, is trying to bounce back from two losses.

And speaking of comebacks, Dominick Cruz is fighting Rob Font in the co-main. Cruz, who once dominated the bantamweight division is feeling the effects of ‘father time.’ This may very well be his last fight in the Octagon.

    Main Card:

Henry Cejudo vs. Song Yadong Bantamweight
Rob Font vs. Dominick Cruz  Bantamweight
Brendan Allen vs. Anthony Hernandez Middleweight
Jean Silva vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan Featherweight
Curtis Blaydes vs. Rizvan Kuniev Heavyweight
Edson Barboza vs. Steve Garcia Featherweight

    Prelims:

Ion Cutelaba vs. Ibo Aslan Light Heavyweight
Adam Fugitt vs. Billy Ray Goff Welterweight
Ketlen Vieira vs. Macy Chiasson Women’s Bantamweight
Ricky Simon vs. Javid Basharat  Bantamweight
Mansur Abdul-Malik vs. Nick Klein Middleweight
Modestas Bukauskas vs. Raffael Cerqueira Light Heavyweight

    Conclusion

The UFC’s February schedule shows how far the sport has evolved. Gone are the days of tournament-style events and fighters competing multiple times in one night. Now fans have got Olympic medalists, technical strikers, and well-rounded athletes competing in state-of-the-art venues across the globe.

Saudi Arabia hosting a UFC event would have seemed impossible back when John McCain called the sport “human cockfighting.” The times sure have changed, and February 2025 is shaping up to be another milestone month in the UFC’s ever-growing legacy!

  • UFC Fight Card Schedule For February 2025

With January behind us, it’s time to look at the UFC schedule for February 2025. The premier MMA promotion jumps right into action on Saturday, February 1 and has events scheduled for each weekend of the month.

UFC Schedule February 2025: UFC Vegas Saudi Arabia

The first fight card on the 2025 UFC schedule, UFC Saudi Arabia takes place on Saturday, February 1 from the anb Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The main event of the card is a middleweight matchup between former UFC champion Israel Adesanya and Nassourine Imavov.

Israel Adesanya (24-4) was a perfect 11-0 when he joined the UFC in 2018. The then 28-year-old had held titles with Hex Fight Series and AFC before joining the UFC. He had also fought twice for the Glory Kickboxing Middleweight crown before focusing on MMA.

Adesanya’s first fight was a “Performance of the Night” bonus-winning knockout of Rob Wilkinson in a bloody battle. After the win, Adesanya delivered a memorable post-fight interview with UFC commentator Jon Anik.

Decision wins over Marvin Vettori and Brad Tavares put Adesanya in the top 10 in the division. A first-round TKO over Derek Brunson then launched him to No. 6. A decision over a fading former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva followed.

That fight against Silva, which took place at UFC 234 in February 2019, was the last time Adesanya would compete in a non-title fight with the UFC.

In his next outing, Adesanya captured the interim UFC middleweight crown with a gut-check decision win over Kelvin Gastelum. Adesanya unified the titles in October 2019 with a knockout win over Robert Whittaker.

Title defense wins over Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa followed. Adesanya, looking to become a double UFC champ, moved to light heavyweight for his next fight against then UFC 205-pound titleholder Jan Blachowicz. Blachowicz handed Adesanya his first defeat, beating him by decision at UFC 259.

The middleweight champ bounced back from that setback with title defenses against Vettori, Whittaker. and Jared Cannonier.

A grudge match was next on Adesanya’s schedule as he faced the man who had defeated him twice under the Glory Banner, Alex Pereira, at UFC 281. Adesanya entered the fifth and final round of that contest ahead on the scorecards, only to get knocked out at 2:01 of that round.

Adesanya got revenge in April 2023 at UFC 287 when he knocked out Pereira in the second round.

In his next outing, at UFC 293, Adesanya dropped the belt to Strickland.

Adesanya is currently riding a two-fight losing skid after a UFC 305 submission loss to Dricus du Plessis in a title fight.

Adesanya seems to be relaxed and lose heading into Saturday’s fight card and with this not being a UFC title fight, the former champ feels less pressure ahead of this contest.

Nassourdine Imavov (15-4-0-1) was 8-2 when he first fought for the UFC. That bout came in October 2020, and he won a decision over Jordan Williams. Imavov went 3-1 in his next four UFC outings. In January 2023, Imavov was booked to face Kelvin Gastelum, but that fight fell apart when Gastelum withdrew. Sean Strickland stepped in on short notice to keep the fight, which was to be the main event, on the card. The only stipulation was that the meeting was to take place at light heavyweight. Strickland picked up a unanimous decision win in that scrap.

Imavov has fought four times since then. In June 2023 he faced Strickland’s teammate Chris Curtis at UFC 289, but that fight ended in a no contest when a clash of heads left Curtis unable to continue. Then, in February of this year, Imavov defeated Roman Dolidze by majority decision in a main event scrap on a UFC Fight Night card.

In June 2024, the 29-year-old scored a TKO win over former UFC middleweight title challenger Jared Cannonier in the main event of a June Fight Night card in Louisville.

Imavov took the best that Jared Cannonier had to offer in the first three rounds of their UFC Louisville main event and was in the process of turning the tables on the former UFC middleweight title challenger when referee Jason Herzog waved off the fight in the fourth stanza and awarded the victory to Imavov.

Cannonier’s game plan was a good one, but his approach of using leg kicks to slow his opponent and pick up control time against the cage didn’t work. Yes, the leg kicks scored for Cannonier, but they didn’t deter Imavov, who was mounting a comeback after falling behind 29-29 on two scorecards heading into the fourth round.

Before the fight was waved off, Imavov had honed in on Cannonier’s range and timing. He landed 60 percent of his significant strikes in the second round, 65 percent in the third, and 73 percent in the fourth before Herzog stopped the fight.

After his win, Imavov called for a matchup against former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland. He did not get his wish. Instead, Imavov faced Brendan Allen in the co-main event of a UFC Fight Night event in Paris. Imavov won that contest via unanimous decision.

UFC Schedule February 2025: UFC 312

The second pay-per-view on the 2025 UFC schedule takes place on Saturday, February 8. That fight card, UFC 312, is headlined by a middleweight title fight rematch between current champ Dricus du Plessis and the man he took the title from in January 2024, Sean Strickland. In the evening’s co-main event, UFC women’s strawweight titleholder Zhang Weili faces Tatiana Suarez

UFC 312 Main Event: Du Plessis Vs. Strickland 2

Du Plessis sports a 22-2 record heading into UFC 312. He is unbeaten in his past 10 fights and has a perfect 8-0 record in the UFC, with six finishes and four fight-night bonus awards. He joined the UFC in October 2020.

Strickland, who has been with the UFC since March 2014 has a career record of 29-6. He is 16-6 in the UFC with four finishes and four fight-night bonus awards.

Du Plessis and Strickland shared “Fight of the Night” honors for their first meeting, which took place at UFC 297 in January 2024.

Since then, Du Plessis is 1-0 with an August 2024 submission win over former UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya. Strickland has also fought once since losing his title to Du Plessis, beating Paulo Costa by split decision in June.

UFC 312 Co-Main Event: Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez

Zhang Weili (25-3) is in her second stint with the UFC’s 115-pound title. The 34-year-old first captured the belt in August 2019 in her fourth fight with the UFC. Zhang defeated Jessica Andrade via TKO at the 0:42 mark of the first round of their UFC Fight Night bout in China to capture the belt. Zhang’s first defense of her crown came in March 2020, when she scored a split decision over former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Zhang’s title reign ended in April 2021 when Rose Namajunas scored a highlight-reel head kick knockout win over the champ 78 seconds into their UFC 261 scrap. Namajunas held onto the belt in the rematch in November 2021, defeating Zhang via split decision.

Zhang bounced back from those back-to-back defeats in June 2022 when she once again beat Jedrzejczyk, this time scoring a knockout victory.

In November 2022, Zhang found herself once again fighting for the belt. She reclaimed UFC gold with a submission win over Carla Esparza.

Zhang has since defended her title twice, beating Amanda Lemos via decision in August 2023, and most recently defeating Yan Xiaonan via decision at UFC 300.

Tatiana Suarez (10-0) is the No. 1 fighter in the official UFC strawweight rankings. The 33-year-old has been with the UFC since July 2016 when she won season 23 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” defeating Amanda Cooper via submission. The win was Suarez’s fourth professional MMA bout.

An accomplished wrestler, Suarez’s UFC career has been plagued by injuries. Those injuries have limited Suarez to seven UFC outings. She went from June 2019 to February 2023 without a fight.

Suarez returned to action at in late February 2023, scoring a submission win over Montana De La Rosa. She followed that with a August 2023 submission win over former champ Jessica Andrade in August 2023.

The injury bug visited Suarez again in December 2023 when she was booked to face Amanda Lemos at UFC 298.

Suarez has been strategic in her plans to return since her first long layoff. Something she discussed with MMA Fighting.

“The good thing is that there’s nothing actually anatomically wrong with my knee,” Suarez said. “So that’s a good thing. But I just didn’t want to go ahead and try to push through something that wasn’t doing what it [was supposed to], because my knee was really inflamed and I didn’t want to try to grapple through something and then actually hurt my knee badly. Because it is the knee that I had surgery on, so I just didn’t want to go ahead and mess with that, especially because my actual injury was so severe. I mean, I tore every ligament in my knee.

“I have cadavers, they’re not my actual ligaments, so I didn’t want to do something kind of similar to the Nina Ansaroff thing where I pushed through the injury, I went and fought, and then it got worse in the fight, and then I had to be out for a couple years. I just didn’t want that to happen to me again. I learned my lesson the first time and I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that.’ But if it was something where I could train and just go hard, I would have just fought with it. But it just wasn’t working out for me. We tried everything.”

HOROSCOPES IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

You won’t have to make any major changes over the coming year. On the contrary, if you sit back and let life come to you then good things will occur as if by magic. The higher power that looks after your interests will provide everything you need.

    ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

A colleague, or even the friend of a colleague, will be more than willing to help you out with a difficult task this weekend. Don’t be suspicious and think it’s because they want something from you in return – they just want to see you do well.

    TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Sometimes you can be too low key for your own good and the message of the stars this weekend is that you need to adopt a more assertive attitude, especially on the work front where keeping your head down could actually damage your prospects.

    GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Career matters are under excellent stars this weekend and if you reach out to your employer or someone above you on the corporate ladder they will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. As far as they are concerned you are worth the effort.

    CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Someone whose outlook on life is a little too conservative needs to be coaxed into making changes. With a bit of encouragement they can be persuaded to get their thinking more up to date, which in the long-term will benefit both of you.

    LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Something you discover about a friend over the next 48 hours will answer the nagging doubts you’ve been having about their motives. It seems they are not being evasive or unethical at all – on the contrary, their intentions are entirely honourable.

    VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Find ways to make your peace with someone you have fallen out with in recent weeks. The fact that you are making the effort will encourage them to respond in kind and it won’t be long before you are the best of friends again.

    LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

You may be inclined to keep your feelings to yourself this weekend but the planets warn that approach could lead to friends and family members questioning your motives. If you are open about what you are up to they will actually be quite supportive.

    SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If you get advice from a friend or workmate this weekend you would be a fool not to make use of it. They have been there and done it before you and if you can learn from their mistakes you will make fewer mistakes of your own.

    SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You may be a risk-taker by nature but sometimes you can sense that it might be best to play safe and such a time is now. Listen to what your inner voice is trying to tell you – because its message could actually save you from yourself.

    CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You are not the sort to turn away people who need your support but you will need to be more selective about who you choose to help over the next 48 hours. Why assist those who are more than capable of looking after themselves?

    AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Don’t worry if something has gone out of your life because something even better will be moving in to replace it. You need to get past the idea that happiness comes from reaching a point where nothing ever changes, because life doesn’t work like that.

    PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

The more you do for other people the better off the planet as a whole will be. You may think that your small efforts cannot have much of an effect but benevolent words and actions create cosmic ripples that spread outward forever.

  • Your Daily TeenScope for February 01, 2025

Let’s face it—most “teen” horoscopes are written by folks whose ages haven’t ended with “-teen” since 2002 and are subsequently pretty cringe. We can’t guarantee that our daily horo will never be cringe, but we can guarantee that it’ll at least be useful.

    Aries

You need to think ahead — maybe pretty far off! Your mind is on the future, so it’s easier than ever to make big plans that might actually work. Get support from one key adult.

    Taurus

Practical jokers might very well get the best of you today, and that should just lead to a fit of anger that’s not like you at all. Roll with it — you should find that thing settle down pretty soon.

    Gemini

Your big brain is full of great ideas — once again. Now is the time to explore them rather than take action, though one of them may inspire you and a friend so much that you can’t help yourselves.

    Cancer

Other people are hard to work with today, but if there’s nothing serious that needs to get done, socializing is fine. Minor arguments pop up here and there, but you should be able to handle them all.

    Leo

Practical jokes played on you will score bonus points because you can’t let go of your pride! Of course, that works in reverse as well — and jokes you pull off today will feel twice as awesome!

Discover why 2022 is the year you’ve been waiting for with your 2022 Premium Horoscope

    Virgo

You are mixing up the way you make it through your day — which is a great way to avoid practical jokers! It also may show you a few ways to save time or have more fun on every other day of the year.

    Libra

You and a new friend or crush share a moment, and it feels as if you’ve reached a new kind of connection. It should last for quite a while, so enjoy the good energy and don’t worry about the future.

    Scorpio

You need to deal with that bratty brother or sister who’s causing so many problems. If you somehow don’t have sibling trouble, then you might need to figure out how to convince your parents to take it easy.

    Sagittarius

Make sure you have an open mind about the ideas that come your way today — things are pretty weird, but ultimately they’re weird in a good way. Everything changes soon.

    Capricorn

You need to take some time out from your daily activities and really think about this summer or even the year ahead. It’s not glamorous, but you have the brains to see you need to have a plan.

    Aquarius

You are full of great energy, and if you pull any pranks today, they’re sure to inspire more enthusiasm than outrage. In fact, you may actually start something big and crazy that grows way beyond you.

    Pisces

You are feeling much more altruistic than antagonistic today, so that means your pranks are more likely to be sweet than mean. Make sure you’ve got your friends’ backs when things get weird.

  • Love and Relationship Horoscope for February 1, 2025 | Astrology

Aries: Today, you may feel something you have experienced before. Even if it’s a song on the radio or a random person, you will be hit by a wave of nostalgia that is much stronger than you expected. See this as a chance to think about what you are doing, and don’t rush back into the same behaviour without considering it much. Your feelings may be intense, but reason will prevail only if you let yourself sort out what is really important to you.

Daily Love and Relationship Horoscope Today 2025: Find out love predictions for February 1

Taurus: Love may call out to you today, but you must be careful before making any statements. Even if there’s chemistry in talking, do not forget that love needs time to grow. Do not be blinded by the first impressions that are given to you. This might result from the desire to solidify things, but relationships grow out of depth, not mere passion. Time is on your side, and you should let things happen at their own pace.

Gemini: Your energy level may not be high today, which is a hint that you should relax a bit. Though one side of you is still insistent that you go out and attend to social obligations, the other side just wants to lie down and spend some time with a loved one. Do not fight the temptation to relax. This is a time to look for comfort. Whether you are reading a book or talking to your partner, any quiet time spent together will only be good for your relationship.

Cancer: It may feel like romance is progressing slower than you would like, but do not let the impatience get in the way. Your passion is your asset, but your partner might not be as obsessive as you are at that moment. Be gentle to let love grow on its own. Have faith that this journey is happening the way it is supposed to. When you are willing to let go of the results, love will find ways of expressing itself in the most beautiful ways possible.

Leo: The need for love and intimacy is strong today, and you may feel closer than ever before to finding your soul mate. However, there can come a moment when doubt appears and makes you question your intuition. Do not be afraid to go for something important to you. Although there is no clear way to reach the state of love, the object of your attraction may be much more complex than you initially thought. Relax and let the process happen.

Virgo: Today is the day to change how you look at love. It is time to state what you want instead of waiting for others to do it for you. New prospects in love affairs might appear, and the only thing that can be done is to be confident and act. Let your feelings dictate you, but do not be afraid to take risks. This moment is about rising up to the occasion and embracing new experiences with enthusiasm.

Libra: It’s quite relaxing to be on the receiving end in love today. You derive pleasure from existence when you decide to go with the flow. Allow the world to speak in its own time, and do not rush for solutions. However, sometimes love comes to you when you do not look for it. For now, the main emphasis should be placed on the improvement of one’s personality. When you care for yourself, you attract the right people towards you.

Scorpio: Romance becomes even more passionate today, which means that you are encouraged to try something new with your partner. Just as it is impossible to ignore the hush or gossip that surrounds your relationship, it is equally important not to lose sight of the reality that you have within you. True closeness is not in the words that are spoken or in the physical touch but in the moments of shared silence. Let your actions demonstrate how much you care.

Sagittarius: Today, your emotions might be split between attractive people. One feels like you are with a friend, and the other makes you feel like you are with a stranger you have a chance with. Instead of quickly deciding which of these two directions is right, allow yourself to try out both. You will get clarity as you listen to the inner voice. Appreciate the impermanency of the situation, and enjoy your friendships while maintaining romantic relationships.

Capricorn: There may be a discussion but little action regarding your love life today. Although it is possible to be carried away by the discussion, refrain from allowing outside opinions to influence your emotions. Romance is something that should be experienced with the heart and not the mind. Take a break from the noise and lose yourself in love. Believe that there is more than what is being said. Learn to embrace love in its purest form.

Aquarius: Today, your persuasive abilities regarding love are off the charts. Whether telling your partner that you love him or her or trying to say something that may make the other person uncomfortable, your words can make people come closer; if you have something important to say, this is the time to do so and say it passionately. Your candour and affability give the impression of warmth and tolerance.

Pisces: When thinking about the future of your romantic life, you are likely to feel a low-key yearning today. This can be when you are in a relationship or on the verge of starting a new one; fear of change might influence your mind. Have faith that change is typically accompanied by uncertainty. Get rid of doubt and welcome what is on the horizon. When you let go of fear and uncertainty, you create the conditions for love and other positive things to grow.
