  • Tiffany Stratton Aware of Charlotte Flair WrestleMania Rumors; Ready For The Queen

It was this time last year that Tiffany Stratton, then one of the top stars on NXT, was just hoping she’d receive a call to come to Tampa Bay and compete in the Women’s Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant.

What a difference 12 months has made as Stratton will gleefully sit back tonight with some popcorn and watch 30 other women battle it out for the right to face her at WrestleMania 41.

Tiffy’s time atop the SmackDown Women’s Division came in relatively short order. In just a matter of months Stratton went from a surprise Royal Rumble appearance to being a break-out performer inside the Elimination Chamber, to capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase and then successfully cashing in to win the WWE Women’s Championship.

Stratton told The Takedown on SI that it was while she was getting ready for Friday’s Royal Rumble Press Junket that she really allowed herself to reflect back on the past year of her career. Harkening back to that feeling of waiting for the phone to ring to see if she’d be competing in her first Royal Rumble to now being the woman that everyone else is hoping to face in Las Vegas.

“It’s so surreal and I could start crying [if she really sat and thought about how far she’s come]. I’m just super happy.”

Having the WWE Women’s Championship draped over her shoulder is going to allow Stratton to become one of the 65,000+ fans that expected to pack Lucas Oil Stadium tonight.

Three former Woman’s Royal Rumble winners and seven former Women’s Champions are among the field this year, including Bayley, Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, Nia Jax, Liv Morgan and Naomi. And those are just some of the names that we know will be in the match.

“There’s so many insane women that we have right now, and I feel like there’s so many different surprises that we can all look forward to. You never know who’s gonna be in it. I’m gonna have such a fun time just watching it.”

More: WWE Royal Rumble Preview [02/01/25]: Start Time, Match Card, How To Watch & More

A returning Becky Lynch, someone whom Stratton is very familiar with, could be one of those surprises. Nikki Bella and Trish Stratus are two other names that have been circulating the rumor mill in recent days.

Then there’s the woman whose name I have omitted on purpose until just now.

Charlotte Flair has missed the last year of her career due to a devastating knee injury she suffered in a match with Asuka. The Queen’s announced return ahead of the Women’s Royal Rumble Match is giving off serious 2023 Cody Rhodes vibes. The American Nightmare’s victory that year came in his first match back from a torn pec muscle.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the same play that was called for WWE’s starting QB, is run once again for the 14-time Women’s Champion. Especially given all the recent reports of Flair being penciled in for a match with Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41. Reports that the WWE Women’s Champion has read, by the way.

While Tiffany wouldn’t outright say she’s rooting for Charlotte to win tonight, she certainly wouldn’t shy away from the chance to go toe-to-toe with one of the greatest women’s competitors of all time.

“Honestly, I think we could have a banger match. I feel like that’s a given”, Tiffany said with confidence. “If it were me and Charlotte, I feel like we would probably have one of the best matches on the entire WrestleMania card. So, hopefully that happens. And if it does, I’m ready.”

It’s a match that would also mean a great deal to Stratton personally. If Charlotte Flair didn’t walk the path before her, then maybe there would be no Tiffany Stratton in WWE today.

On either April 19 or 20, the WWE Women’s Champion will compete in her first-ever match at WrestleMania. There would be no more fitting opponent for her than Charlotte Flair.

“It would be a generational match,” Stratton said. “I got into wrestling because of her. I saw her on an episode of SmackDown one day and she kind of inspired me to get into wrestling. It would just mean so much to my younger self if she would be my WrestleMania opponent.”

  • Charlotte Flair Teases Her Comeback In New Video

Charlotte Flair continues to tease her comeback.

Flair has been sidelined since December 2023, as she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a match against Asuka. She underwent surgery, and she has been training for her in-ring return in recent months.

In a new post on social media, Charlotte Flair shared a clip of herself training and teased that she would prove everyone wrong when she returned.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Charlotte Flair will return. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.

    Ric Flair On Charlotte Flair

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is excited about Charlotte’s looming return. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ric Flair discussed her upcoming comeback.

“I am so excited for my daughter to come back,” he said. “I mean, geez. She won’t tell me anything because she says I have a big mouth. She tells her mom everything and won’t tell me, and I can’t get her mom to tell me. I really think it’s time. When she comes back…John Cena doesn’t want to break a record. He doesn’t give a shit about that. He’s in a different world now. I still think the biggest thing in the business when it happens, and it’ll be a real game-changer, just like she is in real life, is her breaking the title record, or even tying the record.”

“I believe it’s in the cards,” Flair continued. “I can look at the show, and I just think it’s a woman’s world now, and she’s the best women’s wrestler alive, and I think this time off, as unfortunate as it was because of the severity of the injury, I think that she’s been able to sit back and realize just how damn good she use. Because I guarantee you, when she walks back in the door, it’s gonna be a game-changer. I would bet $10,000 dollars that the first match she wrestles, if it’s a good opponent, will get a rating that’ll be the highest women’s rating in a long time in a singles match.”

  • Charlotte Flair vows to prove the haters wrong ahead of her WWE return

WWE star Charlotte Flair missed all of 2024 after tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a match with Asuka in December 2023.

Flair has been training for her return to the ring in 2025, and it should happen any week now, perhaps even as a surprise entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble match on February 1.

With that in mind, here is a training video that Flair posted on social media tonight with the caption “Me vs Me,” where Ashley (her real name) and Charlotte are arguing about proving the haters wrong when she returns to WWE:

“Charlotte, she’s selfish. She’s just Ric Flair’s daughter. She’s gonna come back washed. She’s not even that good. Oh, she’s been handed everything.

You’re gonna prove them wrong. Ashley, get out of your fucking head.”

Do you think Ashley is right to be worried that Charlotte is washed up, or will The Queen prove that she still deserves to be a top star in WWE in 2025? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.

Charlotte Flair vows to prove the haters wrong ahead of her WWE return

But Flair is determined to rise above the negativity and show the world what she’s truly capable of. With her return on the horizon, she has been training harder than ever and is ready to make a statement in the ring.

  • Ric Flair Says AEW Is Doing “Phenomenal” These Days, Grayson Waller Wants To Push Boundaries, More

Ric Flair Says AEW Is Doing “Phenomenal” These Days, Grayson Waller Wants To Push Boundaries, More

QT Marshall has earned himself a future ROH World TV Championship match after “defeating” Komander on this week’s episode of ROH TV on HonorClub.

The match ended in a 10-minute time limit draw, which means that Marshall will get a future title shot. As of this writing, there’s no word on when the match will be taking place.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has nothing but high praise for AEW President Tony Khan and the work he’s been doing as of late.

During a recent appearance on the “Five Star Podcast,” The Nature Boy opined on Tony Khan’s promotion and their friendship.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On AEW: “They’re doing a phenomenal job, AEW. They’re on a level playing field entertainment-wise with anybody.”

On his friendship with Tony Khan: “We’re very close. I think he’s one of the greatest, not just great promoter, I think he’s one of the greatest people, human beings I’ve ever met. He is very caring and genuine guy. He’s got more money than God. I bought time on a jet — Tony’s got a jet, probably several.”

During a recent appearance on “The West Sport” podcast, Grayson Waller commented on whether WWE will push some boundaries when WWE RAW moves to Netflix next week.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On WWE moving to Netflix: “It’s super exciting. Obviously, you know already, the fan base on Netflix is a lot bigger. We’re going to be in a lot more homes, pretty much everyone, their mom, their grandma, their cousin, everyone has a Netflix account and being able to continue to watch NXT, SmackDown, Raw, PLEs, all of it on Netflix is going to be great. But for us too, this is an opportunity for us to kind of show out in a different platform and not having those constraints of a television network is kind of the way I think about it. I think Netflix believes in the WWE product and WWE is ready to deliver something huge. I think Netflix is the perfect home for it.”

On the temptation of pushing boundaries on Netflix: “I think there’s definitely the temptation to do that, but for WWE, we are a family product and as much as we like to push the envelope at times, we do it at times when it’s necessary. Even though we’re on Netflix and maybe people think that the gloves are off and we can say what we want, at the end of the day, we still want families to come to the show, we still want you to bring your son and your daughter. So, Grayson Waller is going to say some mean things, but he’s going to be very careful about what he says.”

Ric Flair, the legendary wrestler known as “The Nature Boy,” recently praised All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for their success in the wrestling industry. In a recent interview, Flair stated that AEW is doing “phenomenal” these days and commended the promotion for their innovative storytelling and exciting matches.

Flair’s comments come at a time when AEW is gaining momentum and attracting a growing fanbase. With stars like Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and Chris Jericho leading the charge, AEW has quickly become a major player in the world of professional wrestling.

In other news, NXT star Grayson Waller is looking to push boundaries and make a name for himself in the wrestling world. Waller recently spoke about his desire to break out and become a top star in the industry, stating that he is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve success.

With his athleticism, charisma, and determination, Waller has the potential to become a breakout star in the world of professional wrestling. Fans can expect to see great things from Waller as he continues to push boundaries and make a name for himself in the industry.

Overall, the wrestling world is buzzing with excitement as AEW continues to impress and stars like Grayson Waller aim to make their mark. With so much talent and passion in the industry, fans can look forward to many more exciting moments and memorable matches in the future.

  • Ex-WWE Legend Ric Flair Praises AEW And Tony Khan, Says He Has One More Match In Him

Ex-WWE Legend Ric Flair Praises AEW And Tony Khan, Says He Has One More Match In Him

Wrestling legend Ric Flair hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since the Revolution 2024 pay-per-view in March, but it seems the WWE Hall of Famer still has a lot of love for All Elite Wrestling and its CEO, Tony Khan. Flair was a recent guest on the “Five Star Podcast,” where he was asked if he would be at the January 4 episode of “AEW Collision.” Flair said he wouldn’t — a recent report indicates he was initially booked for the show before being pulled — but that anyone who attends that show will be for an incredible experience.

“They’re doing a phenomenal job, AEW,” Flair said. “They’re on a level playing field entertainment-wise with anybody.”

It was reported in the summer of 2024 that Flair’s time with AEW was done, despite signing a multi-year deal with the company that also made Wooooo! Energy the official drink of AEW in November 2023. However, Flair still referred to AEW as “our company” and explained that he is still good friends with Khan.

“We’re very close,” Flair insisted. “I think he’s one of the greatest, not just great promoter, I think he’s one of the greatest people, human beings I’ve ever met. He is very caring and genuine guy. He’s got more money than God. I bought time on a jet — Tony’s got a jet, probably several.”

Flair was also asked about the possibility of having one more match, despite retiring in 2022 after a high-profile bout that literally gave him a heart attack. “The Nature Boy” fully believes that he has got one more match left in him, but that match seemingly won’t be happening in AEW.

“Once Tony found out I was on blood thinners, he wouldn’t let me get in the ring,” Flair admitted.

Ex-WWE Legend Ric Flair Praises AEW And Tony Khan, Says He Has One More Match In Him

In a recent interview, wrestling icon Ric Flair had nothing but praise for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its founder Tony Khan. Flair, who is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, commended AEW for its innovative approach to the sport and its commitment to showcasing top-tier talent.

Flair also expressed his admiration for Tony Khan, calling him a “visionary” and a “true wrestling fan.” He credited Khan for his dedication to the industry and for creating a platform that allows wrestlers to showcase their skills on a global stage.

But that’s not all Flair had to say in the interview. The Nature Boy also dropped a bombshell when he revealed that he believes he still has one more match left in him. Despite being 72 years old, Flair is confident that he can still step into the ring and put on a show for his fans.

Could we see Ric Flair make a return to the squared circle in AEW? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – the wrestling world would be buzzing with excitement if the Nature Boy were to lace up his boots once again. Stay tuned for more updates on this potential comeback!

Ric Flair Open To In-Ring Return – TJR Wrestling

    Ric Flair can’t walk away.

In an event run under the famous Jim Crockett Promotions banner on July 31st, 2022, Ric Flair wrestled what he said would be his last match. During the bout where he tagged with Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, Flair struggled badly, and later admitted he passed out twice.

However, Ric Flair has since given mixed messages on his wrestling future, seemingly teasing a comeback before distancing himself from the suggestion.

This speculation only increased when he began working with AEW in late 2023 before appearing at Revolution in March 2024 as part of Sting’s retirement match. At the time, there were claims Flair wanted to do more physicality, but his pitches were blocked by management.

During an appearance on the Five Star Podcast, Flair confirmed Tony Khan had kept him out of the ring while working in AEW due to fears about his health.

“Once Tony (Khan) found out I was on blood thinners, he wouldn’t let me get in the ring,”

When it was suggested that Flair had one more match in him, the WWE Hall of Famer enthusiastically agreed.

    “Hell yeah, I do.”

Ric Flair Tips AEW Star To Make WWE Return

During a different interview, Ric Flair predicted that Mercedes Mone would return to WWE before her career ended. The veteran made the claim while discussing Charlotte Flair’s biggest rivals, adding that his daughter and Mone had better chemistry than anyone in history.

Charlotte Flair has been out of action since December 2023 when she suffered a major knee injury, however, she’s expected back very soon.

Ahead of making her AEW debut, Mercedes Mone admitted she will return to WWE one day. She followed that up with another admission in August, confirming she wanted to rejoin the company in 2023.

“Wanna watch someone die?” – WWE Superstar warns Ric Flair for his latest statement; The Nature Boy wants one more match

Ric Flair has admitted he wants to compete in one more match, despite retiring on May 16, 2022. WWE Superstar Bronson Reed put The Nature Boy on notice for his statement.

In 2024, Reed terrorized the WWE roster, mostly after his vicious attack on Seth Rollins, who was hit with six Tsunamis. The King of Monsters’ attack on Rollins saw The Visionary sit on the sidelines for multiple weeks. The Auszilla even competed in the Men’s WarGames Match where he teamed up with Solo Sikoa and his men in a losing effort against the OG Bloodline and CM Punk.

On X (fka Twitter), Reed reacted to a post about Flair expressing interest in returning for one more match. The 36-year-old claimed The Nature Boy might “die” if he gets hit with a Tsunami.

“People keep saying they want me to TSUNAMI him … yall really wanna watch someone die,” wrote Reed.

SmackDown Superstar Grayson Waller praised Bronson Reed and Rhea Ripley during a recent interview. Waller, Reed, and Ripley all hail from Australia and enjoyed quite a successful 2024.

Speaking to The West Sport, the former WWE Tag Team Champion reflected on Reed’s impressive performance in the last year and commented on how being part of the Men’s WarGames Match was a great opportunity for his countryman and that he had put in a great shift at the premium live event.

“Obviously, Rhea [Ripley] is who Rhea is. She’s already at the top of the company. But Bronson [Reed], I think the last few months, Bronson showed the world what we already knew about him. He’s one of the best, and he’s been in these prominent positions in that Bloodline match. So, that’s a huge opportunity and position for him, and I think he crushed it,” Waller said.

Reed will be sidelined for a few months after undergoing surgery for breaking his ankle during the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series 2024. It remains to be seen when the former NXT North American Champion will return to WWE television.
