  • Kelsea Ballerini shined in her Fiserv Forum headlining debut

On Saturday night, country star Kelsea Ballerini played ringleader to an arena-sized girls’ night out at Fiserv Forum, and on the heels of her most successful album to date, she’s very much hitting her stride.

The show was the fourth night of Ballerini’s first arena-level headlining tour, which she endearingly referred to as her “big girl arena tour.” While she’s certainly had her share of big shows in Milwaukee to date, momentum was on her side on Saturday night, and she had a crowd that was ready to party.

“I played The Rave, and there were 3,500 people at that show” said Ballerini early into her set. “Tonight I am so proud to say that there are over three times that number here.”

That was certainly no exaggeration; Ballerini was greeted by a very full seating bowl on Saturday,  likely an encouraging sign for the first week of the tour. They came ready to sing and dance as well, fired up from the moment that Shania Twain’s “Man I Feel Like A Woman” played over the PA to welcome everyone to the show.

The lights would drop, and Ballerini emerged from the back of the stage for the title track from “Patterns.” Her newest material would be the focal point of the night, with two-thirds of the album finding its way into the set list, sprinkled in amongst Ballerini’s biggest hits. While some artists might feel pressure to deliver her situation, Ballerini had a confidence about her performance that truly showed her star quality. It may have helped that boyfriend Chase Stokes was spotted watching the show from the soundboard.

When she addressed the Fiserv Forum crowd, she was personable as ever, regularly using her time in between songs to be thankful and inspirational. She spoke proudly about where “Patterns” has taken her, fittingly as an introduction to “This Time Last Year.” Throughout the course of the night, she would take a selfie with a fan’s phone, and say hello to a fan that brought a meet-and-greet photo from 2017, and also receive a scrapbook from a fan that she opened up on stage.

One fan also asked for her to write her next tattoo on a sign, with an inspirational quote, to which Ballerini replied “Oh god. My brain right now. It’s like when someone asks what your favorite song is and all you can think of is ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.’” They would eventually land on “Love love” before Ballerini would warn her that the tattoo is, in fact, permanent. That was the charm that she brought to every interaction on Saturday, taking in her moment as the brightest name on the marquee.

When she wasn’t drawing tattoos or taking pictures, she was leading singalongs up and down the Fiserv Forum stage, often from the catwalk in the middle of the arena. Early hit “Love Me Like You Mean It” saw her vocals reverberated by thousands of fans, and “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” would have fans screaming along as well. After proclaiming that “Dry January hates to see me coming,” wine-drinking salute “Hole In The Bottle” received one of the loudest reactions yet. By the midway point of the show, Ballerini looked untouchable, certainly hitting her stride.

Kelsea Ballerini at Fiserv Forum by Dan GarciaX

From a production standpoint, the show would see Ballerini in the air on platforms frequently, with a screen that dropped down in front of her from time to time. She would also quick-change by dropping through a hole in the center of the stage, only to re-emerge after short interludes. She would dance with a chair for “We Broke Up” and later mention that this was the “female rage” portion of the show. That segment of the night would also include “Two Things,” where she would walk the catwalk with glowing orbs dropping down from the lighting rig over the Fiserv Forum crowd.

Ballerini would use the back half of the show to not only deliver the hits, but give her a chance to bring things down a notch. She would sit on the floating platform for a full version of “Interlude,” complete with the lyrics on the screen in front of her, and later delve into her collaboration with Noah Kahan, “Cowboys Cry Too,” complete with a new second verse in place of Kahan’s vocals.

Then, she would go solo with an acoustic guitar for “Homecoming Queen,” which hasn’t been played yet on the tour. She explained that she had more songs that she wanted to play that weren’t in her set list, and this gave her a chance to perform material that she hasn’t done in a long time. While providing a cool moment for the Milwaukee crowd, the move did feel just a bit reminiscent of the secret acoustic songs that Taylor Swift added to each night of her “Eras” tour. However, if the end result is a unique moment for each crowd on tour, maybe Ballerini isn’t to be faulted too much for feeling inspired.

Kelsea Ballerini at Fiserv Forum by Dan GarciaX

Things would ramp up once again, but only after a version of “Peter Pan” that saw the whole band come to the front of the stage together. Ballerini was flanked by a pair of background singers throughout various points of the night, and the song gave them a chance to unite for a three-part harmony that rang out especially well with the Fiserv Forum acoustics (and of course, the crowd singing along to every word as well.) They would continue into “I Would, Would You,” mashed up with Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me.” She quickly acknowledged being able to support women in country music by welcoming openers MaRynn Taylor and Sasha Alex Sloan on tour with her. Then it was time to bring the house down.

Dating anxiety anthem “How Do I Do This” closed out the main portion of the set, with Ballerini dropping into the hole in the stage to signal the end of the set. Suspense be damned though, as  she would tell the crowd that she had more song left as she descended to the floor with the lights going out. There was one final singalong to be had in “Penthouse” and the crowd hung on every word once again. There was also one major faux pas.

Ballerini exclaimed “Goodnight! Thank you Minneapo-nope… Milwaukee!” before laughing her way through the closing notes of the song (Minneapolis was the previous night’s show.) If that’s the biggest blunder from a 90-minute performance that saw her covering every bit of the stage that she could, with multiple costume changes and choreography, so be it.

From the look of Saturday night’s show, it’s very apparent that Kelsea Ballerini’s first “big girl tour” will certainly not be her only “big girl tour.” In fact, she has the makings of a generational talent in country music, and those superstar qualities shined non-stop on Saturday night. With a current stint on “The Voice” as a judge, Ballerini’s stock only continues to rise, and the Milwaukee crowd got to witness her in the middle of her ascent on Saturday.

Kelsea Ballerini made her mark on Milwaukee in a big way during her headlining debut at Fiserv Forum. The country superstar took the stage with energy and charisma, captivating the audience from start to finish.

Ballerini’s powerhouse vocals and infectious stage presence kept the crowd on their feet, singing along to every hit song. From chart-toppers like “Peter Pan” and “Miss Me More” to heartfelt ballads like “Homecoming Queen,” she showcased her versatility as an artist.

But it wasn’t just her musical talent that shined that night – Ballerini also connected with the audience on a personal level, sharing stories and anecdotes that made her performance feel intimate and relatable. Fans were left feeling like they had just spent the evening hanging out with a close friend.

Overall, Kelsea Ballerini’s Fiserv Forum headlining debut was a night to remember. She proved once again why she is one of country music’s brightest stars, leaving fans wanting more. Here’s to many more headlining shows to come!

  • As World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 Opens, Leaders Call For Renewed Global Collaboration In The Intelligent Age – Eurasia Review

Addressing a gathering of global leaders, Klaus Schwab, World Economic Forum Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, officially opened the 55th Annual Meeting, setting the tone for the week by highlighting the meeting’s theme: Collaboration for the Intelligent Age.

“This transition from the Industrial to the Intelligent Age is occurring at an exponential pace, carrying unprecedented risks for humanity as we strive to prepare and adapt for its complexities, he said. “Yet, it also offers significant opportunities to transcend our current challenges and spark a new renaissance – one defined by advancements in knowledge, health, culture and societal welfare.”

Schwab called on the global community to rise to the moment with “constructive optimism”, urging stakeholders from all sectors – government, business, civil society and academia – to unite in crafting solutions to shared challenges. “By embracing constructive optimism and believing in our collective capacity and commitment to improving the state of the world, we can shape the Intelligent Age as an age where every human being can realize their full potential.”

Speaking at what he described as “one of the most uncertain geopolitical and geoeconomic moments in generations,” Børge Brende, President and CEO, World Economic Forum, stressed that the world is at a critical inflection point and that 2025 will be a year of enormous consequence. “The longstanding international order that existed for the last three decades has receded. We need to find more effective ways to work together. It is the only way forward.”

In these turbulent times, democratic and liberal values serve as a critical signpost for stability and progress, said Karin Keller-Sutter, President of the Swiss Confederation 2025; Federal Councillor; Head of the Federal Department of Finance of Switzerland, Federal Department of Finance of Switzerland, adding that open markets, fair and transparent rules and fiscal discipline are the cornerstones of sustained prosperity. “Only a state with stable institutions can create a sound environment where everyone can realize their potential, and a state must protect this freedom with rules.”

Also reflecting on the changing world order, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, outlined Europe’s plan to adapt to a new era of “harsh geostrategic competition” by increasing its competitiveness, strengthening global partnerships and maintaining its commitment to sustainable development.

“To sustain our growth in the next quarter of the century, Europe must shift gears,” she said. “We should not take anything for granted. We must look for new opportunities wherever they arise. This is the moment to engage beyond blocs and taboos. And Europe is ready for change.”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for renewed commitments to security and prosperity in the face of global challenges, emphasizing that partnerships serve as the “engine for successful economic development.” He highlighted plans to reform German public debt regulations to strengthen domestic growth and emphasized Europe’s need to strengthen its defence capabilities and industrial base. His remarks acknowledged geopolitical challenges and uncertainties related to the new administration in Washington, but highlighted optimism about opportunities in emerging technologies.

As the war in Ukraine nears its third year, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, urged Europe to solidify its position as a leading global power. Highlighting the need for unity and strategic investment, he emphasized that the continent must prioritize alliances, technological advancements, and a cohesive security and defence policy. He pointed to existing models of cooperation in Ukraine’s defence as examples of how collective action can strengthen Europe as a whole.

“Europe needs to compete for the top spot in priorities, alliances and technological development,” Zelenskyy stated. “We need a united European security and defence policy, and all European countries must be willing to spend as much on security as is truly needed.”

Amid rising geopolitical tensions, Ding Xuexiang, Vice-Premier of the People’s Republic of China, warned against the growing fragmentation of the global economic system and rising protectionism, emphasizing that “trade war has no winners”. He advocated for a universally beneficial globalization process, reaffirming China’s commitment to a UN-centred multilateral order and calling for greater cooperation in scientific and technological innovation to ensure equitable advancements for all nations.

Ding also addressed global challenges such as climate change and economic inequality, urging nations to pursue green transitions and foster sustainable development through inclusive dialogue and partnership. Highlighting China’s economic resilience, progress in green energy and ongoing reforms, he asserted that China’s growth contributes to global stability and prosperity. “China’s door of opening up will not be closed and will only open even wider, and our business environment will only get better,” Ding said.

Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Viet Nam, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). “We aim to prioritize the establishment of research and development centres, particularly in high-technology sectors. These efforts will not only advance technological innovation, but also position Viet Nam as a hub for high-tech manufacturing and development in the region,” he added.

With South Africa recently assuming the G20 Presidency, Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa, outlined Africa’s objectives for the G20 Summit, set to take place in Johannesburg in November 2025, the first to be hosted in Africa. He said South Africa will focus its G20 Presidency on three themes: solidarity, equality and sustainable development.

“As we confront the challenges of the 21st century – from climate change to pandemics, from poverty to terrorism, from migration to AI – we are again called upon to harness that most powerful, and that most enduring, of human attributes: mutually beneficial cooperation and collaboration,” he said.

Navigating the ongoing challenges of regional instability, Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, welcomed the recent ceasefire and release of three hostages, but cautioned against unwarranted optimism. “I want to be lucid and cautious…there are opportunities, but still risks. We must ensure this never happens again,” he said.

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 has officially kicked off, with leaders from around the world coming together to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the intelligent age. As technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, it has become increasingly important for countries to work together in order to navigate the complexities of this new era.

During the opening session of the meeting, leaders emphasized the need for renewed global collaboration in order to address the many issues facing the world today. From climate change to economic inequality, it is clear that no single country can solve these problems on their own. Only through working together can we hope to create a more sustainable and prosperous future for all.

As we enter this new era of intelligence, it is crucial that we do not lose sight of the values that have guided us in the past. Cooperation, empathy, and compassion are just as important now as they have ever been. By coming together at forums like the World Economic Forum, we can ensure that these values remain at the forefront of our decision-making processes.

In the coming days, leaders will continue to discuss how best to navigate the challenges of the intelligent age. By working together and sharing ideas, we can create a world that is more inclusive, more sustainable, and more prosperous for all. Let us hope that the discussions at this year’s meeting will lead to concrete action and positive change for the future.

  • World Economic Forum Returns to Davos, Switzerland, for the 55th Time

The Swiss town of Davos each year hosts the WEF. | Image: investorsinproperty.com

The World Economic Forum is back in the Swiss Alps for its 55th year from January 20 to 24, 2025. Every year for over half a century, the world’s political and industrial elite descend on the small alpine village of Davos and turn the ski resort into the schmooze-fest of the movers and shakers in the world’s global economy. Heralded as ‘The place where leaders meet,’ the ski village hosts around 2,500 influential guests through a week of panels, presentations, and invite-only break-out sessions. This year, the program includes more than 300 sessions (200 of which are livestreamed to a global audience) aimed at accelerating progress and addressing global challenges.

This year, between 200-300 internationally protected persons are in attendance, including approximately 60 heads of state and government, ministers, and representatives from international organizations. Many of these high-profile attendees will arrive by private jet into Samedan airport near St. Moritz. In addition, around 1,600 business leaders from over 130 countries are expected to also attend, and Zurich airport is anticipating an additional 1,000 flights during this period (compared to approximately 750 flights into Zurich per day). While a definite guest list for 2025 has not been confirmed for security reasons, it is anticipated that, amonst others, Javier Milei (President of Argentina), Ursula von der Leyen (President of the European Commission), Ding Xuexiang (Deputy Prime Minister of China), Ilham Aliyev (President of Azerbaidzhan), Mostafa Madbouli (Prime Minister of Egypt), Isaac Herzog (President of Israel), Tharman Shanmugaratnam (President of Singapore), and Volodymyr Zelensky (President of Ukraine) will attend. U.S. President Donald Trump will attend the conference via video link.

This year’s WEF will be held from January 20-24. | Image: WEF

What makes Davos so attractive for these most influential attendees is that aside from the guaranteed discretion in Switzerland, Davos can only be reached by one road, making it easy to safeguard against terrorist attacks or violent left-wing protests. Each year, the Swiss Army descends on the two entry points on either side of the valley and monitors everyone who enters with Swiss precision. There are checkpoints at key access roads and bridges as well as at Samedan airport near St. Moritz, where many attendants fly in on private jets (it is not a commercial airport). Swiss authorities coordinate a comprehensive security plan, involving up to 5,000 armed forces personnel and inter-cantonal police collaboration. Measures include restricted airspace, controlled helicopter traffic, and strict entry checkpoints. Freedom of opinion and peaceful demonstrations are encouraged, but unauthorized protests are dealt with firmly. Tourism in Davos is generally unaffected during the WEF, though personal, vehicle, and baggage checks at access points may cause delays.

Samedan airport is the closest private airport to Davos and can be closely monitored by the military. | Image: Julia Schneemann

The event’s security costs, estimated at CHF 9 million annually, are shared under a three-tier finance model involving the WEF Foundation, the federal government, the Canton of Graubünden, and the commune of Davos.

Locals in Davos, however, are less impressed each year by the circus descending on their village. Access to basic infrastructure becomes difficult or at times impossible, as certain areas and roads are blocked off for the week, including around the Congress Center / Kongress Hotel / Hotel Hilton Garden Inn; the AlpenGold and Belvédère hotels; the ice rink and the Lago heliport incl. the lake car park and meadow. Prices explode to a manifold of their usually already high rates. A five-night stay in one of Davos’ nicer hotels blows out to CHF 25,000 (USD 29,000), and even basic hotels charge CHF 1,000 (USD 1,160) per night. Luxury chalets in Davos also quintuple their prices and are known to fetch between CHF 500,000 and CHF 1 million for the week. According to Swiss newspaper Blick, there are even reports of landlords forcing out tenants for the WEF week to earn a few extra thousand franks for the week.

Regardless of what locals or critics might think of the WEF, it does not appear the world’s economic elite has any plans of abandoning its annual get-together despite an estimated cost of $40,000 per delegate. While there is no proven direct economic value of a delegate’s attendance for a company, absence from the prestigious annual event might send a troubling message about a company’s economic position or its significance on the global stage.

The World Economic Forum Returns to Davos, Switzerland, for the 55th Time

The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is set to take place once again in the picturesque town of Davos, Switzerland. This year marks the 55th time that global leaders, business executives, and thought leaders will come together to discuss the most pressing economic and societal issues facing the world today.

The theme for this year’s forum is “The Great Reset,” which focuses on the need for a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient post-pandemic world. With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting economies and societies around the globe, there is a sense of urgency to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

  • Deliverance 2 Updates Steam Forum Code of Conduct

    Summary

    • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 creators update the Steam forum’s code of conduct to address controversial topics.
    • The team was focused on keeping the forum a “welcoming place for all,” and the update targeted excessive profanity, bigotry, sexism, racism, hate speech, sexual harassment, and threats.
    • The code of conduct emphasizes the game’s PEGI 18 rating and historical politics, but bans modern political or religious discussions.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 creators have updated the code of conduct guiding the game’s forum on Steam to prevent users from being banned for discussing contentious topics. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s PEGI 18 rating was noted in the update, which covers bad language, violence, and depictions of drugs, but the new code of conduct was designed to temper some of the comments about the game’s content.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a sequel to the 2018 predecessor of the same name, following protagonist Henry during the “turmoil of civil war” leading on from the ending of the previous title. The narrative is said to bring a conclusion to Henry’s story in a world that’s twice the size of the previous map. Medieval fantasy fans were treated at the start of 2025 when Warhorse Studios sent out Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 review codes four weeks early, which gives the developer a better chance at ironing out any bugs before the game’s full launch on February 4, 2025.

As a result of the inclusivity controversy, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 may be banned in Saudi Arabia, which is something Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 16 and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 had to contest with. Neither Saudi authorities nor Warhorse have confirmed the ban, but the developer said that no changes were made to the game to conform to the country’s guidelines.

    Dear Steam Community,

We are excited to announce some updates to the Steam Forum Code of Conduct that will improve the overall experience for all users. These changes will be implemented in the upcoming release of Deliverance 2, so we wanted to give you a heads up on what to expect.

    1. Respectful Communication: We encourage all users to communicate with each other in a respectful and constructive manner. Personal attacks, harassment, and offensive language will not be tolerated.

    2. Stay on Topic: Please keep discussions related to the game and avoid derailing threads with unrelated topics.

    3. No Spoilers: Be mindful of other players who may not have completed the game yet. Please use spoilers tags when discussing plot points or significant events.

    4. No Spamming: Do not flood the forums with repetitive or irrelevant content. This includes advertisements, promotions, and links to external sites.

    5. Report Abuse: If you encounter any violations of the Code of Conduct, please report them to the moderators for review.

We believe that these updates will create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the Steam community. Thank you for your cooperation in making Deliverance 2 a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

    Sincerely,
    The Deliverance 2 Development Team

  • Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 dev may ban people from forum for discussing politics

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is mere weeks away from its full launch. One of the most anticipated new RPGs of the year, it marks the return of Warhorse Studio’s beloved medieval adventure, and rejoins Henry in the 15th century as he embarks on a fresh series of quests throughout burgeoning Europe. Ahead of the release, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s creators have published a new code of conduct for people using the game’s Steam community pages, explaining that discussions of religion, politics, and other potentially contentious topics may result in being banned from the forums.

The Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 release date is almost here and, based on our own experience with the RPG so far, it seems to be something different than the “self-serious” medieval game that some players may expect. One of the most wishlisted games on Steam, according to its page on Valve’s store Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is rated PEGI 18 for violence, bad language, and depictions of drugs. The new code of conduct, published by Warhorse representative ‘PLAION_MY4NH,’ outlines a number of rules for discussions on the Steam forums.

“We are grateful for the vibrant and passionate discussions that take place here,” the representative writes. “Your love for this game and its immersive world has forged a unique and thriving community. To ensure that our forums remain a welcoming place for all, we are introducing a new set of community rules designed to maintain smooth moderation and foster meaningful, respectful discussions.

“We get it – this is a PEGI 18 game, and colorful language is part of the vibe. Occasional swearing is fine, but keep it reasonable. Excessive profanity, bigotry, sexism, racism, hate speech, sexual harassment, or threats will not be tolerated.”

The code of conduct tells users to “respect others” and explains that the forum’s moderators have “zero tolerance for discrimination.” It also explains that the forum is “not the place for modern political or religious discussions” and that there should be “no hate speech or harmful ideologies.” Warhorse also outlines potential penalties for users who do not follow its code of conduct.

“While our game may explore historical themes, this forum is not the place for modern political or religious discussions,” the developer says. “Discrimination in any form is strictly forbidden. We stand against all forms of hate speech and dangerous ideologies. This is a community for gaming, not political grandstanding or modern ideological debates. Civil disagreements are welcome, but respect must always prevail. If conversations devolve into personal attacks or hostility, they will be moderated accordingly.”

Warhorse says that the consequences for violations include “deleting posts of threads, locking threads, issuing warnings, [and] temporarily or permanently banning users from the forum.”

Recently, it has come to light that the developers of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 may be taking a strict stance on discussions about politics on their official forums. Reports have surfaced of users being banned for engaging in political debates or discussions that are deemed inappropriate or inflammatory.

While the developers have not made an official statement regarding this issue, it has sparked controversy among the gaming community. Some argue that discussions about politics have a place in gaming forums, while others believe that such topics can often lead to division and toxicity among players.

It is important to remember that forums are meant to be a place for gamers to come together and discuss their love for the game. While it is understandable that some topics may be sensitive or controversial, it is ultimately up to the developers to set the rules and guidelines for their platform.

As fans eagerly await the release of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it will be interesting to see how this potential ban on political discussions will impact the community and the overall atmosphere of the forums. Only time will tell if this decision will ultimately benefit the gaming experience for everyone involved.

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 rolls out new forum rules to curb toxic behavior, which immediately sparks toxic behavior

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 publisher Deep Silver has rolled out a new code of conduct for discussions in the game’s Steam forums, forbidding discrimination, hate speech, and harmful ideologies, and warning of possible permanent bans for those who break the rules.

“We are grateful for the vibrant and passionate discussions that take place here,” developer PLAION_MY4NH wrote. “Your love for this game and its immersive world has forged a unique and thriving community. To ensure that our forums remain a welcoming place for all, we are introducing a new set of community rules designed to maintain smooth moderation and foster meaningful, respectful discussions.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has implemented new forum rules in an effort to curb toxic behavior among its community members. However, the announcement of these rules has sparked a wave of toxic behavior from some users who are unhappy with the changes.

Some users have taken to the forums to express their outrage, hurling insults and engaging in personal attacks against the moderators and developers. Others have resorted to spamming the forums with inflammatory posts and memes, derailing any constructive discussion.

In response to the backlash, the moderators have been working diligently to enforce the new rules and crack down on toxic behavior. Banning users who violate the rules and issuing warnings to those who engage in inappropriate conduct.

Despite the initial backlash, the moderators remain committed to creating a positive and welcoming community for all players. They are encouraging users to report any instances of toxic behavior and to engage in respectful and constructive discussions.

Overall, the implementation of these new forum rules is a step in the right direction towards creating a more positive and inclusive community for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players.
