  • Four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley reacts to new offer from Wisconsin

Celina (Texas) 2026 four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley has had an especially strong last several months in the world of football, both at the high school ranks, as well as in his recruitment. This Fall, he helped lead his team to a 16-0, state championship season in Texas, throwing for well over 3,000 yards, and 47 passing TDs.

On the ground, Bentley added another 900 yards and 16 touchdowns. And over the weekend, Bentley had the opportunity to throw and perform at the All-American Bowl, only adding to some of the steam for his recruitment.

“It definitely means a lot, with all of the work that I put in in the Spring and Summer with me and my team. And, to go out there and go 16-0 and win a State Championship is huge for not only us, but our program, and I think it is helping many of us with our recruitments, too,” Bentley told Badger247 this week.

Four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley was ecstatic to receive a new offer from the University of Wisconsin, adding to his already impressive list of college offers. Bentley, a highly sought-after recruit, took to social media to express his gratitude and excitement about the opportunity to potentially play for the Badgers.

In his post, Bentley wrote, “Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Wisconsin! Thank you to Coach Chryst and the entire coaching staff for believing in me. Excited to continue my recruitment process and see where this journey takes me. #OnWisconsin”

The 6’3″ quarterback has been turning heads with his exceptional arm strength, accuracy, and football IQ, making him a top prospect in the class of 2023. With offers from prestigious programs across the country, Bentley has a tough decision ahead of him as he weighs his options for his future in college football.

Wisconsin’s offer adds another intriguing possibility for Bentley, who will undoubtedly garner even more attention from other schools as he continues to showcase his talents on the field. Stay tuned for updates on Bentley’s recruitment process and his eventual decision on where he will play at the next level. #GoBadgers #RecruitBoweBentley

  • Oregon four-star QB signee Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele expected to enter transfer portal

Oregon four-star QB signee Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele expected to enter transfer portal

Ewa Beach (Hawaii) Campbell quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, who signed with the Ducks and enrolled at Oregon in December, is expected to enter the transfer portal, sources told 247Sports. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder flipped from Cal to Oregon on Signing Day Dec. 4.

He took his talents to the Ducks as the class of 2025’s No. 106 overall prospect, No. 8 quarterback and No. 1 player in Hawaii.

“It’s not very often that you get to this point and you don’t know which way it’s leaning or where it’s at,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said of Sagapolutele Dec. 4. “What I did know was where Jaron’s heart was this whole time. I think the process started a little bit later here for us, his heart was wanting to be here at Oregon, and I’m really excited about him and what he’ll bring to the table for us.”

When Sagapolutele signed with Oregon, he was a key cog in the Ducks’ elite Big Ten recruiting class. Oregon also signed San Diego Lincoln Top247 quarterback Akili Smith Jr.

It looked like Cal would keep Sagapolutele after fending off a charge from Georgia, where he twice canceled visits, and Oregon. But the Ducks, his childhood favorite, ultimately landed him.

“I thought highly of (Sagapolutele) when I’d watch him when I’d go back home and throw,” said Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who is from Mililani (Hawaii) High. “But I think when I saw him at the Elite 11 around the top-level guys, the dude can sling it. He’s got pop behind his arm. Of course, I’m a little biased with him being a lefty. But also, it wouldn’t take anyone to see it. Just go watch this kid throw live. He’s got pop. He can sling it with the best of them.

“More importantly, I know what type of kid he is and being from Hawaii. I’m proud of him. I think there’s maybe a little pipeline starting, hopefully. But, no pressure coach Lanning.”

Since Sagapolutele already enrolled at Oregon in December after signing, Sagapolutele is expected to enter the portal instead of needing to request a release.

Players in bowls after Dec. 28 have five days following their final game to enter the portal, so Sagapolutele has until the weekend, but is expected to be in before.

As one of the 2025 cycle’s top passers, Sagapolutele is likely to have suitors for him once he’s in the portal.

“Sagapolutele has clearly established himself as one of the nation’s top quarterbacks this offseason,” 247Sports national scouting analyst Greg Biggins said in Sagapolutele’s July 7 evaluation. “He has really had a great spring and summer including a recent top-11 finish at the prestigious Elite 11 Finals. You can make an argument he has the strongest arm in the country but doesn’t just throw all fastballs and has really improved in his ability to change speeds and throw with touch.

“His deep-ball accuracy is among the best in the country as well and he can really layer the football into tight windows. His release is smooth and tight and he has improved in his ability to make quick decisions and get the ball out on time. … All the physical tools are there and Keawe Sagapolutele has a very high ceiling and NFL potential if he continues to develop at his current rate.”

The Oregon Ducks football program received a blow as four-star quarterback signee Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele is expected to enter the transfer portal. The talented recruit was seen as a key addition to the team’s future, but it appears he has decided to explore other opportunities.

Sagapolutele, a highly touted prospect from Hawaii, was expected to compete for the starting quarterback job in the coming years. However, with his decision to enter the transfer portal, it remains uncertain where he will end up next.

Oregon fans are disappointed to see Sagapolutele go, as they had high hopes for his potential impact on the team. It will be interesting to see where he lands and how he performs at his next destination.

Stay tuned for more updates on Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele’s transfer journey.

  • LSU wins out for four-star DE JaReylan McCoy

LSU wins out for four-star DE JaReylan McCoy

LSU is off to a fast start piecing together a star-studded 2026 class.

On Thursday, Brian Kelly and the Tigers added another blue-chipper to the fold in the form of JaReylan McCoy, who declared for LSU over Tennessee and USC during the Under Armour All-America Game.

McCoy, the No. 12-ranked defensive end in the Rivals250 out of Mississippi, has been heavily recruited by LSU and Kelly’s staff since he was an underclassman.

“Being from the Sip, LSU being big on you feels good,” McCoy told Rivals. “LSU recruited me hard even though they’ve added players in the Transfer Portal. Those guys make you feel good and make you feel wanted — and not just needed. They want you to be a part of their team and to help their team grow.”

Both Kelly and EDGE coach Kevin Peoples played large hands in courting one of Mississippi’s best to Baton Rouge.

LSU’s head coach in particular has been a catalyst in this recruitment since McCoy’s last visit to campus in November for the Alabama game.

“It’s different with LSU,” he started. “Coach Kelly keeps it real with you. He’s gonna put you in a position to succeed. There’s no position he hasn’t studied, and that’s a big part of it. He studies your game and your gameplay, so when you arrive on campus he’s gonna put you in the best position for the team.”

The Tigers edged out Tennessee and USC for McCoy’s commitment. The four-star DE also made in-season stops at Ole Miss and Alabama this fall.

LSU’s defensive line tandem of Peoples and Bo Davis left a lasting impression leading into his commitment.

“Getting to meet with coach Peoples and coach Davis and talking with Coach Kelly again … They treat everyone like family making sure you’re good on and off the field,” McCoy said.

The LSU Tigers have added another top recruit to their 2022 class, as four-star defensive end JaReylan McCoy has committed to the program. McCoy, who is ranked as the No. 7 overall weak-side defensive end in the country, chose LSU over several other top programs.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound pass rusher from Florida is known for his explosive first step and relentless pursuit of the quarterback. With his combination of size, speed, and athleticism, McCoy is expected to make an immediate impact for the Tigers’ defense.

LSU’s recruiting efforts have been paying off in a big way this year, with McCoy being the latest addition to a class that already ranks among the best in the country. With McCoy on board, the Tigers are poised to have one of the top defensive lines in college football for years to come.

Congratulations to JaReylan McCoy on his commitment to LSU, and Tiger fans can look forward to seeing him wreak havoc on opposing offenses in the near future. #GeauxTigers

  • Four-star Cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon Commits to Ohio State

Four-star Cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon Commits to Ohio State

And he’s keeping the best in Ohio in Ohio. Four-star in-state cornerback prospect Jakob Weatherspoon committed to Ohio State on Thursday, giving the Buckeyes four commits total and their first cornerback commit in the 2026 cycle.

    The Weatherspoon File

    • Class: 2026
    • Size: 5-10/172
    • Pos: Cornerback
    • School: Avon (Avon, Ohio)
    • Composite Rating: ★★★★
    • Composite Rank: #164 (#9 ATH)

Weatherspoon is the first defensive commit in the 2026 class, joining wide receivers Chris Henry Jr. and Jaeden Ricketts and tight end Corbyn Fordham.

Weatherspoon grew up rooting for the Buckeyes and the Avon product picked up his OSU offer following an impressive recruiting camp performance in June.

“It meant a lot to me being from Ohio and getting an Ohio State offer,” Weatherspoon told Eleven Warriors of his offer. “Honestly, I worked hard for it. They told me I’d have to come to camp and earn an offer, they weren’t just going to hand it to me, so basically all I did this offseason was work to get that offer. When I got it, I was really excited.”

Tim Walton and other OSU staff members were in contact with Weatherspoon nearly every day since then trying to secure his commitment.

“A whole lot of it is what he just does for people and how he puts others before himself,” Weatherspoon said this summer of his conversations with Walton. “It was about him telling us what he actually does instead of what people think, and he was showing us his history and how he’s been connected with Ohio State since 1989, so he knows the school well. He showed us some video calls with former players, a few former players sent some over, so we watched those and got some good chatting in.”

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Weatherspoon is the No. 164 overall prospect in the 2026 class. He had a terrific junior season for Avon, helping lead his team to a 16-0 season and a state title.

“I think I’m very dynamic, I have a lot of patience at cornerback,” Weatherspoon said describing his on-field game. “I’ve been working on my footwork all offseason.”

In an exciting announcement for Ohio State football fans, four-star cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon has officially committed to play for the Buckeyes. Weatherspoon, a highly sought-after recruit, chose Ohio State over several other top programs, citing the coaching staff, facilities, and winning tradition as key factors in his decision.

The 6’1″ cornerback out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florida is known for his speed, agility, and ball skills, making him a valuable addition to Ohio State’s defense. With his commitment, Weatherspoon joins a talented recruiting class that is already shaping up to be one of the best in the nation.

Buckeye Nation is buzzing with excitement over Weatherspoon’s decision, and fans are eager to see him take the field in scarlet and gray. Congratulations to Jakob Weatherspoon on his commitment to Ohio State – we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes on the field for the Buckeyes! #GoBuckeyes

  • West Virginia Contacts TCU QB Transfer, Former Four-Star Hauss Hejny

West Virginia Contacts TCU QB Transfer, Former Four-Star Hauss Hejny

West Virginia is looking for help at just about every position in the transfer portal, including quarterback. Nicco Marchiol may indeed be the best guy for the job, but he needs to be pushed for that role. Plus, WVU has just one other scholarship quarterback with some experience in a college system in, Khalil Wilkins, so WVU needs to add some depth

According to Chris Hummer of CBS Sports, West Virginia has reached out to TCU quarterback transfer Hauss Hejny, who entered the portal on Monday. Others who have contacted the former four-star recruit include BYU, James Madison, UCF, Utah, and Utah State.

Hejny appeared in four games this year for the Frogs but never attempted a pass. He did, however, run the ball 15 times for 65 yards, including a long of 21.

In his senior year at Aledo High School in Texas, Hejny completed 66% of his passes for 2,773 yards, 27 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while rushing for 1,041 yards and 13 scores. Coming out of high school, he chose TCU over offers from Baylor, Cal, Duke, Houston, Nebraska, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Utah, West Virginia, and a few others.

He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

West Virginia Contacts TCU QB Transfer, Former Four-Star Hauss Hejny

According to reports, West Virginia has reached out to TCU quarterback transfer Hauss Hejny, a former four-star recruit, as they look to add depth to their quarterback room. Hejny, who redshirted his freshman season at TCU, is looking for a new home after the Horned Frogs brought in a transfer quarterback of their own.

The Mountaineers are in need of a quarterback after losing their starter from last season to graduation. Hejny, who was highly recruited out of high school, could provide some much-needed competition at the position and potentially become a key player for West Virginia in the future.

It remains to be seen if Hejny will ultimately choose to transfer to West Virginia, but the interest from the Mountaineers shows that they are actively looking to bolster their roster for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
