ORLANDO, Fla. — After a warmer and cloudy weekend, big changes are coming to Florida this week.
Our area will stay cold for most of the week.
We will see mostly cloudy skies on Monday with better chances for rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The bigger story on Monday will be the cold and the wind chill values.

Highs will reach the low to mid 50s Monday afternoon, with wind chill value staying in the 40s for most of the day.
Tuesday and Wednesday, the southern winter storm will be a big talker.
Snowfall is expected for parts of the Gulf Coast, including Florida.

Data shows the best chance for snowfall in Florida will be along the panhandle.
Areas in North Florida will most likely see some sleet.
No snow is expected in Central Florida. But we will have a lot of cold rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

As of early Monday morning, no active winter weather watches or advisories in place for Central Florida during this southern winter storm.
Temperatures will be cold most of the week with highs in the 50s.
Our coldest temperatures will actually hit our area Saturday morning, with widespread lows in the 30s.

Central Florida residents should prepare for a cold and rainy week ahead as a strong front moves through the area. According to WFTV, temperatures are expected to drop significantly following the front’s passage, with highs only reaching the low 60s and lows dipping into the 40s.
In addition to the cooler temperatures, the front will also bring widespread rain to the region, with the potential for heavy downpours and thunderstorms. Residents are advised to stay weather aware and be prepared for possible flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
As we head into the middle of the week, the rain is expected to taper off, but the cold temperatures will persist. So, make sure to bundle up and stay dry as you navigate through the wet and chilly weather.
