Bought this one as a gift but then got one for my office, as well. My father, daughter, and son all have Aura frames and it is so easy to share photos between us. My father tells me he sometimes just sits and watches the photos change.The iOS app is easy to use, but the website interface is a little lacking (last I checked which was a while ago). My daughter's boyfriend has one and he uses Android and I haven't heard any complaints.We didn't get the top-of-the-line models, but on these I wish the controls on the frame itself were a little more useful. Of course, then it would cost more.There is a fair amount of customization available in the app.An EXCELLENT gift.

    Pretty good digital photo frame with easy-to-use software and phenomenal customer support

    I've had this frame for a little over a year and it randomly stopped working one night and wouldn't turn on again the next morning sometime between our scheduled off/on hours (a feature the software offers). Since it had been 13 months since I purchased it and the warranty is listed as 12 months, I figured that was just the way things go for me and reached out to support to ask if they accept frames for diagnostics and repair and what their rates for such are and much to my chagrin they just offered to replace it outright, because, and I quote from their email; "We apologize for the inconvenience; we want to make sure you have the best possible experience with your Aura frame!"

    This is why I love the smaller, more labor-of-love type companies. The companies that sit in the comfortable spot between so-small-they-fold and too-big-to-care. They value their customers!

    The product itself is pretty good, resolution is reasonable and the app and software itself is easy to use. I purchased this frame after one of our cats passed away last year; I couldn't decide which pictures of his to print out, so I took a shot on a digital frame so we could display a selection of his photos while we were grieving. It was super easy to hook up my Apple Photo albums to automatically import into the frame. Now that iOS 17 and MacOS Sonoma have pet face detection, it's been a breeze getting the frame to display every single photo we've ever taken of our dearly departed furbabies without having to manually find them in all our pictures.

    For pictures that aren't the right aspect ratio, some photos do have to be manually aligned for display via the app, but it's pretty easy to do and it doesn't modify your photos; you can also elect to use black or the extended-and-blurred letterboxing on the sides or top/bottom depending on if you use the frame in portrait or landscape mode, or you can zoom to prevent that altogether. It also plays videos, and while they disclaimed the ability to auto-import videos from iOS albums, my experience was that they showed up anyways.

    As an added bonus, there's a kind of private social-networking type aspect to the app; you can add anyone you want to your frame so they can add pictures to it, and you can heart and comment on the photos in the app. So it's probably great for families or friends who are either separated by distance or just love sharing photos with their loved ones (I'm one of those weird types who really only displays photos of pets, and until i teach them to use the phone it's going to be just me using the frame)

    Highly recommend this company and their products! Will submit a photo of it in action once the replacement arrives!

    I love it so much, that I bought a second frame today to display my many travel pictures. The first frame is being used to display my MANY family photos. (As I said, I'm an amateur photographer).

    You won't be disappointed!!

    I can't speak to the tech support as I have not had any issues. But the one thing I will say is, google youtube on how to use it and you'll see for yourself how easy it is to use. That's how I got started using it quickly.

    We struggled with an app and a tablet to display pictures off of the internet. Constant trouble with re-booting, delays, etc. No more. This frame, while expensive, lets you view pictures from anywhere on your phone, and anyone with access can upload whatever they want shown in the frame. They cycle at whatever speed you select. Reliably. My mom, who is 91 years old, really likes to see the family pictures next to her sink in the kitchen, and the occasional surprise when someone drops new pictures into the online repository. Not a hitch since we started using this frame. Heavy, so it sits where you plant it, and great quality picture, too!

    I purchased this for my wife for christmas , she loves it, the app is very intuitive and you can add pictures from anywhere ( you dont have to be on the same wifi network as the frame), you can also give access to friends so they can photos to it as well.

    Picture quality is great, no limit on pictures, you can do videos as well. it automatically turns itself off when the room is dark ( you can set a schedule as well), my only complaint is the slide show interval, 15 seconds is the quickest, I would like to set it at 5 or 10 seconds, but its not that big of a deal!

    I have used cheaper frames with crappy apps, fewer features and inferior picture quality, yes the Aura is more expensive and it's worth every penny!

    I was expecting more from such an expensive product. From the start I thought a simple digital screen should not cost that much these days. I decided to give it a try anyway, assuming that the high price would be justified. But so far, it has been an underwhelming experience.

    First of all, the setup as a gift did not work. I set everything up in the app and it looked like it was ready, but when my wife unpacked it, it did not connect to the WiFi automatically, nor did the welcome message show up.

    Secondly, it just seems very clunky. The frame is heavy and thick. In the age of super thin and lightweight displays, it looks outdated. I’m sure I could find a used tablet for a similar price to do the same job.

    The picture quality seemed fine, no better or worse than a phone or tablet screen.

    This would all be fine if the frame was around 70€, but with the high price tag it’s rather disappointing.

    The clarity and sharpness as well as colour of my photos taken on Leica, iPhone 12 and Sony A7R3 are really very good and my interest was abit above family photos. There is good depth of picture too. Colours are like the camera photos and even my Leica B&W photos display nicely. The pickup by the Aura App is easy and transfer to the digital frame is seamless. The power cord is quite generous, albeit proprietary, and it comes (UK version) with 3 pin, 2 pin EU, and another 2 pin changeable plug which is good quality. The frame itself is quite wide and sits well at an angle on the table…sturdy. The Touch Bar works fine and the product switches itself off when the room light is low (you can tweak power settings too). Picture transfer from iPhones abroad as well as across localities are fine; stuff works. No SD card or Bluetooth – everything over wifi and painless to reconfigure to a different router if you move it.

    Cons? : price ! Expensive certainly and I would have liked a slightly bigger frame for this Mason Luxe…it just feels an inch or two too small for me. It is quite adequate as a tabletop display but when you see its quality, you feel it should be a bit larger! Ie it is smaller than my 11” ipad screen… The Walden will be my next purchase when it becomes available in UK/EU.

    I purchased the frame as a gift for my parents. They love it. The quality of the images is great, they are sharp and maintain nice colors. The frame is sturdy. The set up was easy. The app to upload works mostly well (sometimes crashes) and the interface is easy to navigate. I appreciate you can add multiple members so entire family can upload pictures.
    The only drawback is the color/texture of the frame. Personally I would appreciate more simple and timeless design. I find simple wooden or plain black would work better for majority interiors that textured gray.

    unlike every other photo frame out there, this one has a matte finish that makes it exceptional in avoiding reflections on the displayed images. the colors and picture quality is pretty good, too without blotchiness even with pictures that has dark colors. it works best on a well-lit area of the home. the picture quality is probably not a surprise since this is from the same company that makes Lexar-brand products which cater to photographers.for its UI it's using a variant of Android so it's quite intuitive. the processor could be a little faster but it's serviceable.the Frameo integration is somewhat ok and you can get away with the free version to send photos to the frame wirelessly.If i have to nitpick, it's the lack of light sensor son it can optionally turn off in the absence of ambient light. also its weird aspect ratio when most cameras out there are 3:2 or 4:3.

      THIS is the answer to "What am I going to do with all those photos and movies?" "Is my photo collection just a hoarding vanity project never to be seen?" THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION!

      PROs: Top quality 1080p (really "2K" or 1200p vertical pixel density – which is even better! IPS type display panel)
      TOUCHscreen (you can finger swipe back and forth at any time).
      Good color depth, color and grayscale fidelity
      Good viewing angles, anti-glare coating.
      Plays back still photos and/or MPEG (.MP4) movies (with audio on or muted if you want).
      No hiccups or flakiness.
      Shuffle or timeline play.
      Shows tile title date – IF you want it.
      Shows current time of day in upper right corner (12 or 24 hr) IF you want it.
      Shows current temperature and sunny/cloudy/rain symbols – IF you want that.
      You don't have to buy the upgraded Frameo app if you don't want to. It works just fine (and I'm pretty happy) with the standard app.
      It's not too big and not too small. Two or three people could stand next to each other and enjoy the picture from a few feet away, yet the frame doesn't "take over". You can find a spot for it.
      The frame "matte" built into the black frame outline does a decent job of mimicking a real photo frame matte.
      You can use BOTH the internal storage and any docked external storage (USB or SD card) at the same time.

      Picture quality is GREAT out of the box. No need to fuss but you can control cropping and brightness if you want to.

      CONS: Must be powered by AC wall adapter. The darn thing works so well, I want to use it like a tablet, makes me wish it had an internal battery that would function for an hour or two when frame unplugged. Oh well, it's still a heck of a unit.

      I loaded my files with a tiny Samsung USB drive. You have to use either FAT32 or XFAT file system (NTFS file system pen drives will not be recognized).

      UPDATE 10/05/2024 IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING YOUR MOVIES TRANSFERRED and "RECOGNIZED" by the PEXAR.

      Technical tip to owners of Sony and Panasonic digital cameras as far as movies are concerned, something that might help your movie files get "recognized" by this Pexar device:

      If you have any 1080p (i.e. High Definition pixel density) MOVIE files created by your camera that have an .MTS file format (file extension), YOU'LL WANT TO RENAME THAT FILE EXTENSION TO BE: .MP4 (stands for Motion Picture Expert Group 4) file extension. You'll want to do this before transfering the files if you are using external storage (like USB-pen flash drive, SD ("Secure Digtal") card, etc.

      Once you do what is mentioned above, the PEXAR can then recognize these renamed movie files and play them just fine

      For the geeks or curious, MTS (aka MPEG Transport Stream) is a container wrapper of sorts for an MP4 file. Internet search will tell you how / why these variances of video formats came about. It doesn't matter, once you rename the file extension to MP4, the movie will play just fine in the PEXAR frame. You want to "swim with the biggest school of fish" in the technical world of video (if you want the least hassle) and the .MP4 format is exactly that in the world of High Definition (HD) video.

      P.P.S. I also owned some ANCIENT home movies from a 12 year old Fuji digital camera taken in .AVI format (Audio Video Interleave). I had to do a file conversion of them to .MP4 format so the PEXAR could successfully play them. . I used a simple movie editing software (Windows Movie Maker – no longer made, but there are other conversion software utilities running around that can do the job). Once I did that, the movies shot in this old format play just fine in the Pexar frame.

      ABOUT VIDEO LENGTH: Some users have stated a 15 second video length limit. That has not been my personal experience. I successfully have this frame playing videos of 2 minutes long of my kitty cat wallering in the driveway. This is 24 fps (frames per second) .MP4 files. HOWEVER, you ** will ** get a warning that importing that large video will eat into your 32GB of internal memory. Such is life. NOTE: I am ** not ** relying on the paid subscription Frameo app. I just use a USB pen drive. Even with importing probably quantity: 6 X 2 or 3 minute length HD .MP4 videos, I still have somewhere around 8 or 10 GB of internal memory left at this point.

      P.P.S. WHAT FOLLOWS IS BORING, IT MAY HELP A FEW OF YOU WHO ARE NEW: Those of you with mega fancy cameras (full frame or APS-C Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc cams) that produce 20MB+ files: There is no need to fill up the internal memory in this frame with 20MB per photo file sizes, that is overkill and ridiculous. (My opinion). JPEG (or .JPG) is what you want as a file format type/medium for still photos with this frame. An 850KB to 1MB per picture JPEG file at 200 Pixels per inch ("pixel density") will do fine for 1080p viewing resolution and, if you want it a bit nicer (i.e. 1200dpi vertical , roughly "2K" viewing resolution) then bump up your saved file size to say 1.2MB per photo size. There are a lot of photo editing programs out there that will do "interpolation" to reduce / downsize your monster sized pure-overkill source file size to work with this 11" frame size display. (i.e. Photo software that will keep aspect ratio/proportion while reducing pixel density). You will gain some file "compression" when you downsize the file. So what? Few people can tell a difference on a frame of this size. Your goal should be to get things done while delivering a decent quality experience…right? You could, in a pinch, use one of those screen snipping software tools that comes native with your operating system and just select, snip, and capture a full screen display of the original photo/file AND THEN save that screen capture output (which will likely be 72 dots per inch (dpi) from the "clipboard" into a paint program as a JPEG. Very crude but it would get you by till you purchase a true photo editing program. Most beginners will be fine (or probably better served maybe) by a "lite" version photo editor. Again it's just my opinion. YMMV.

      The only frameo screen worth getting

      Where this frameo device seems to outshine all the others, is the hardware. Specifically, the display is awesome. Matte finish, vibrant and bright, fantastic viewing angles. They just need a larger display. There aren't too many 15"+ frameos, and the ones that are available have pretty meh displays. Whatever Pexar used here, seems to work really well.

      The software is mostly the same on all these frameo style frames. And, it works ok. There is sooo much potential, especially with remote management, that is currently missing. If you pay for the "plus" tier, you can at least manage the frame pictures w/ your phone. But still a huge pain to manage when you have many thousands of pics to manage for multiple frames, and you're stuck using the app. Simpler and faster to just connect via USB and create a regular folder on your computer to delete/sync, one frame at a time. Or, how about allow folks to sync to online sources like Google, etc. Or release an api/sdk that allows someone else to write a remote management tool?

      The platform has the framework in place to be so much better. Remote management for pictures, time/power controls, motion sensors. And little things, like changing the software to reflect the 'picture date' instead of the OS "modified" date. A few improvements, and they could easily compete w/ the larger photoframe companies.

      I look forward to future improvements.

      The best digital frame

      I love this frame. It is easy to test up and add your photos. The packaging is great and the fact that I can add an SD card is awesome. I just love everything about the frame. The quality of the pictures I uploaded is perfect. There is an option to add more than one picture at a time. it is also easy to delete a photo. The only thing that I haven't figured out is how to turn a photo from landscape to portrait as most of my photos are landscape. With that said, the frame can stand either portrait or landscape. I love this frame and with it was sold in a much larger size. I will purchase another one.

      Lexar 2K Digital Picture Frame

      I have been an avid photographer since I was a teenager, so I have a very large number of photos. Lately I have been setting up digital photo frames around the house. I get a lot of joy from seeing all of the pictures or my life, family and travels.

      I like that this photo frame has slots for full-size SD cards as well as both USB-A and C flash drives, but for most people the 32GB of internal storage will be all they ever need. If you size your photos to 2000 x 1200 pixels to match the resolution of the screen and save them as jpegs, you can store over 130 thousand pictures in 32GB!

      This digital photo frame has a very large 11 inch IPS touch screen. The screen is bright and clear, but not on par with a laptop or iPad screen because the brightness and colours change depending on your viewing angle. Not a big deal for a reasonably priced photo frame, but something to be aware of if you are a perfectionist.

      Does anyone else find it kind of humorous that Lexar has a product called Pexar? I wonder if they are working on others called Mexar and Nexar?

      Some reviewers mistakenly believe that the Frameo app it uses is subscription only. Frameo, although far from perfect as an app, works fine in free mode. If you choose to pay for the _optional_ subscription, you are able to send more photos at once, longer videos, and back up the photos online. Rather than installing yet another app I have always been happy to just fill an old USB or SD card with photos and plug it into the back of the frame.

      The app doesn't always properly show the correct picture being displayed on the frame.

      You have to adjust each individual picture in the app, there is no way to auto-adjust/crop pictures you want to display.

      Confusing setup, slow support

      Setup was a bit challenging. I gave this as a gift to my older parents who can’t really manage the frame themselves. I should have set up as my own frame but I set up instead as a gift frame. That was a mistake. I had to factory reset frame and contact support to get it so that I could manage the frame for my parents.
