    “In a world where he didn’t have to say anything, it could have been some intern sending out a tweet. It could have been anything, but it’s like, hey, this guy that we now know that is associated with a lot of success with WWE is saying something great about her and they’re excited that she’s there, how awesome is that?”

    Last year, Grace made her WWE in-ring debut by entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match as the Knockouts Champion.     – During a recent interview with Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Jordynne Grace spoke about, if getting to WWE was always her end goal, her hardest-hitting opponents, and more. Below are some highlights provided to us by Insight:

    Jordynne Grace on her opponents who have hit her the hardest: “Masha [Slamovich] has knocked me out before. Legit she’s hit me with a back fist and she’s knocked me out. So definitely her. Something else about Masha is for the longest time, thank God that she finally listened to me, she didn’t wear kick pads. I don’t know if you’ve seen her wrestle, she throws kicks constantly. So anytime she would kick me, it wouldn’t make a great sound, because when you kick someone in real life it doesn’t really make a sound but it hurts so bad. So in wrestling, you want the strikes to make a sound, and it’s okay if they’re stiff, but you don’t want them to hurt. So every time that bony front of her leg would hit me in the chest or hit me in the face it’d be so painful, and people didn’t know how painful it was because there was no sound.”

    On leaving TNA: “I’ve been at TNA for a very long time, since 2018, and I’ve never let my contract expire before. I’ve always just re-signed. I don’t know if it was just the uncertainty of not knowing what was going to happen next, or I was just scared that no one was going to want me. But I feel like now I’m more confident. I had an amazing 2024 and I think it’s time. I’ve done so much in TNA. I’ve done pretty much all there is to do and I feel like if there was ever a time to move forward, it’ll be right now.”

    On if going to WWE was always the goal: “It was just to be a wrestler in general. I just wanted to wrestle when I was a kid, but I also wanted to be a Diva. That’s the era I was watching. So I wanted to be like one of the models. I wanted to be like one of the model wrestlers. I think since then, obviously things have changed so much. I started watching TNA I want to say a few years before I actually started wrestling and the variation in WWE and TNA at the time was huge, obviously. I saw women like Awesome Kong and I was like dang, maybe I could be like that.”

    Former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace has officially signed a multi-year contract with WWE according to Fightful Select.

    The outlet reported WWE’s offer came weeks before her TNA contract was up (with TNA’s blessing), and that she signed the deal right after her final appearance at this month’s TNA Genesis pay-per-view as WWE didn’t want her to hit free agency.

    The eventual signing has felt like a virtual lock given Grace’s appearances on both the main roster and NXT over the last year, and the praise that both Paul Levesque and Shawn Michaels have given her publicly.

    It hasn’t been reported yet if she will go to the main roster immediately or NXT.

    She made her promotional debut in the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise appearance and then began appearing in NXT this past summer in the early stages of the partnership between WWE and TNA.

    Grace competed in four NXT matches last year, defending her then-Knockouts title once against Sol Ruca, and also failing to defeat then-NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

    Grace was part of TNA since 2018. After signing a multi-year extension in 2021, the 28-year-old hit free agency in May 2023 and took some time off before returning in September 2023. She leaves the company as a three-time Knockouts Champion, one-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion, and one-time Digital Media Champion.

    Most WWE fans already know former TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace from her cameo appearance in the 2024 Royal Rumble match and her various matches in “WWE NXT” over the past year, but they are about to get a lot more familiar, as she has reportedly signed a multi-year deal with WWE.

    Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select had the news confirmed by WWE sources that Grace had signed with the company, while also reporting the self-evident fact that WWE had long been interested in bringing Grace in on a full-time basis. Grace was reportedly made the offer by WWE a few weeks before her final match in TNA, which was against Tessa Blanchard at the Genesis pay-per-view on January 19, and that TNA (who recently signed on to a working partnership with WWE) were fine with this and were fully aware Grace would be leaving. WWE sources also noted that Grace was signed to the company almost immediately after her TNA contract expired, as the company did not want her hitting the free agent market.

    PWInsider would later confirm the news, adding that Grace is believed to have finalized the contract at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday, and that WWE sources confirmed she will be in Indianapolis, site of the 2025 Royal Rumble event.

    Grace leaves TNA Wrestling having achieved almost everything there was to achieve in the company. She signed there in 2018 after working on the independent scene for six years, including being the only woman in the “Over Budget” battle royal at the original All In event. In 2020, she won her first of three TNA (then known as Impact Wrestling) Knockouts World Championships, with her second and third reigns coming in 2022 and 2024 respectively — her combined 677 days as champion are second only to Gail Kim. Grace also won the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship with Rachael Ellering in 2021, as well as becoming the first-ever TNA Digital Media Champion that same year, making her the only female Triple Crown winner in TNA history.

    The site’s Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that WWE signed Jordynne Grace to a multi-year contract. Negotiations are said to have started prior to the end of her time in TNA, with that promotion’s knowledge (WWE and TNA have been working together since last year, and formally announced a partnership with the former’s NXT brand earlier this month). Sapp adds:

    Those we spoke to in WWE said that Grace was signed almost immediately after her last match in TNA, and that they didn’t want to let her get to free agency.

    PWInsider then confirmed the news, noting reports from last week about Grace heading to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando after her last match for TNA at their Jan. 19 Genesis PPV. They believe she finalized her signing during that visit.

    WWE sources also told PWInsider that Grace will be in Indianapolis this weekend — the site of this year’s Royal Rumble — so we won’t be as surprised if she shows up for the Women’s Rumble again this year. The 2024 match was one of five the 28-year-old bodybuilder worked for WWE last year; the others were all for NXT.
