Greenville community members take advantage of warmer temperatures
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – After freezing temperatures, the warmer weather has made a comeback and Greenville residents were taking full advantage of that today.
Whether it’s running, biking, fishing, or even frisbee – at the Greenville Town Common Friday you could see community members out and about enjoying the warmer weather by partaking in many activities.
While above-average temperatures in eastern Carolina aren’t uncommon, 70-degree temperatures don’t come around too often. ECU student Ireland Coffey has a highly energetic dog and was not going to miss this opportunity to enjoy the weather.
“During the winter, it’s kinda hard and we don’t love it as much but its been so nice to be outside when it is this nice outside so we took the first chance we had to go on a run today,” Coffey said.
As morning turned to noon today, more and more residents found themselves enjoying the weather, even bringing their kids, friends, and families outside.
But at the end of the day, some say it does not matter what the weather is like. ECU Student Brock Lasure loves to play frisbee and according to him, snow or no snow he is outside.
“It does not really matter what the weather is like I actually went outside and played this while it was snowing and lost a few in the snow,” ECU Student, Brock Lasure said.
