We use high quality ingredients! High quality coir, locally sourced grains, bags made in Texas, Azomite for additional yield and potency. We’ve experimented with our grain recipes for years and found what works and what doesn’t. What doesn’t work is mixing dry grain into overly wet substrate and hoping they even out during sterilization. What does work is preparing our grains by letting them soak, then boil, then bag and sterilize, ensuring that each grain is thoroughly hydrated in the process.

We use locally sourced materials from here in the midwest. Oats from local farms, red sorghum milo from local farms, and rye from local farms. What we use depends on what’s available for the week, but what we know is that it’ll be made right and it’ll work well, for all types of mushrooms!

Our substrate is a winner, for 15 years!

We use the same recipe for our substrate now as we did 15 years ago when we started growing mushrooms, but now with a bit more kick! We were the first company to start offering Azomite in our substrate, a trace mineral mined in Utah from the remains of a volcanic erruption. This addition gives our substrate additional minerals which mean more mushrooms, bigger mushrooms, and faster growth. The best part is, Azomite is OMRI certified organic!

We also source our coir through a tested vendor. After trying out several vendors we have found a vendor who makes coir to our specifications for exactly what we need, making our substrate perfect for growing mushrooms!

Our substrate is made separate from our grains, hydrated to ensure large fruit development, and bagged separately from our grains, meaning each layer is made properly to compliment one another!

Our All-In-One bags don’t come mixed up; leaving other organisms hiding inside, cutting corners on proper grain and substrate creation, and leaving you wondering if your mycelium is growing or not. When you get growth, you’ll see it!

Our bags are produced with no cut corners! Unlike other vendors who use over hydrated substrate to try to hydrate a small amount of grain mixed throughout the bag, we hydrate our grain blend and measure it into the bag before adding our substrate blend on top. This ensures that our materials are properly hydrated! Our recipes are well crafted and dialed in to produce a consistent product from batch to batch without taking short cuts.

We produce our bags with a custom blend of grain farmed here in the midwest of the USA. Our substrate comes with the highest quality ingredients. We utilize Azomite as a substrate additive to produce the results that our growers love! Want the results of a manure based substrate without having to bring animal manure into your home? We’ve got you covered!

Leaving the grain layer separate from the substrate layer also allows your mycelium to easily find nutrients as it grows, giving it a stable food source to feed on and get energy from rather than constantly searching for food throughout its life cycle. This easy access to food in the mycelium’s early life means fast consistent growth without the stress of having to search for food! Less stress means a smoother grow with more mushrooms!

Some vendors use smaller seals on bags as a way to cut costs on equipment, not us! We use a 10mm seal to ensure that our bags can handle being mixed up without worrying about being split open. This seal also ensures that nothing can enter our product once it leaves our facility.

Our custom sized bags are produced in the USA in Texas, they come with a .2 micron filter which is verified by the quality control standards of the bag producers. This is extremely important, some competitors try to cut costs by purchasing bags from overseas where they are produced cheaply with no quality oversights. This can reduce costs for those vendors but in the end means more failure and wasted projects! Our bags are also produced with injection ports attached, which shows our commitment to getting the highest quality materials possible.

On the latest episode of The Inquirer’s Eagles podcast, unCovering the Birds, cornerback Cooper DeJean joined host Jeff McLane ahead of the Birds’ divisional round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams to talk about growing up in the small city of Odebolt, Iowa, his transition from quarterback to cornerback and his brother Jaxx’s future in college football.

Here’s an excerpt from McLane’s “Pick Six” segment with DeJean …

Q: What’s the best part of growing up in a small town and what’s the worst part?

DeJean: I think the best part is you can create your own fun, pretty much. Like you can do whatever you want, really. Me and my friends from back home, we just ran around town and rode our bikes around. We had dirt bikes growing up, four-wheelers, all that type of stuff. … There were no cops in my town. There’s like county police. They’ll come through like, not very often. But, pretty much just creating your own fun.

And then the worst part, if you wanted to go out, we got a couple bar and grills. But the grocery store, you got to go about 30 or 45 minutes if you want to get good groceries. So, that kind of sucked. I loved it though. And then there’s no malls.

Q: We all know at this point that you were a pretty big hooper in high school. … I think you had 1,832 career points, right? And then you were 58 behind someone else in Iowa that plays in the NFL [T.J. Hockenson]. I mean there’s a chance that maybe you could even see him in the postseason. Do you have a relationship with T.J.?

DeJean: I’ve never talked to him, no. But I heard he was a ballplayer.

Q: You got into a little bit of heat with women’s basketball fans and Caitlin Clark aficionados, after saying you could beat her one-on-one. If it were strictly a three-point contest, who’s winning that one?

DeJean: Three-point contest, I don’t know. I haven’t shot in a while so she would probably get me on that. I wasn’t the most consistent three-point shooter.

Q. How well do you guys know each other?

DeJean: We’ve talked a few times. We’re not like super close, but we’re cool with each other. … She’s cool to get to know, very down-to-earth person.

Q: You played quarterback in high school, could you have played in college?

DeJean: Yeah, one offer to play quarterback in college.

Q: It happened during COVID, I’m wondering if things were different do you think you would have ended up pursuing that path?

DeJean: Virginia was recruiting me for quarterback also. But yeah, I don’t know, if I got to take some more visits. The thing is Iowa is the school I always wanted to go to and they wanted me as a DB. It definitely would have been more tough though if I could have taken visits and if more schools were recruiting me for quarterback because I wanted to play quarterback in college.

Q. What was the best part of your game as a quarterback?

DeJean: I think being able to scramble and create plays was probably the best part of my game. We ran the five-wide, we threw the ball a lot, so it was a lot of fun playing quarterback in that offense.

Q: My guess is that you could be the emergency, emergency quarterback with the Eagles? Is that correct?

DeJean: Maybe … If they asked me to, I would go in there. They probably would throw Saquon [Barkley] back there, I don’t think I have enough experience on this offense. Now, in college I might have been able to step in there. There was a point where we were down to one quarterback playing in our bowl game my sophomore year and then I got to play on offense a little bit last year too. Never got to sit back there and throw the ball.

Q: Beckett is in South Dakota and then you have a younger brother who is kind of starting to pop on recruiters’ radars. His name is Jaxx, he’s a sophomore in high school. You tell me. I want you to almost play GM. Where’s he play? Give me the lowdown on him.

DeJean: He plays receiver and corner right now. He won’t play either of those in college probably. He’ll be a tight end. He can run pretty well, he’s pretty athletic but we still got to work on the physicality part a little bit. But he can catch the ball really well, he’s got good hands. He’s about 6-foot-4 and about 215-220 pounds. So, he’s pretty big.

Q: Is he leaning anywhere? I mean if he gets an opportunity at Iowa I can imagine that’s hard to turn down.

DeJean: Kansas State and Iowa offered him. I want him to go to Iowa. I think since watching me at Iowa, he’s strongly considering going that way, but you never know. He might want to create his own path and go somewhere else. I would love for him to go there.

Caitlin Clark is one of the most talented basketball players in the country, and I am excited to announce that I will be taking on the challenge of facing her on the court. As a fellow Iowan, I have always admired Caitlin’s skills and determination, and I know that going up against her will push me to become a better player.

Growing up in Iowa, I have always been surrounded by a strong basketball culture. From playing pickup games at the local park to cheering on my favorite high school and college teams, basketball has always been a huge part of my life. I have worked hard to hone my skills and improve my game, and I am ready to put it all to the test against Caitlin.

Facing off against a player of Caitlin’s caliber is a daunting task, but I am confident in my abilities and ready to give it my all. I know that this matchup will be a true test of my skills and determination, but I am ready to embrace the challenge and show what I am capable of.

Market Expert Says Dogecoin Growing Strength to Spur 432% Surge to $2.28
The recent Dogecoin resurgence has caught the attention of notable market analyst Javon Marks, who speculates a sustained northward trend.

The largest meme coin by market cap has regained bullish momentum after briefly reclaiming levels above $0.4000. Dogecoin surged over 10% yesterday, reclaiming the price zone after almost one month.

Although the prominent meme coin has consolidated slightly today, Dogecoin has appreciated over 18% this week, spurred by a broader market rebound. Furthermore, a resurgence in whale accumulation has also contributed to the recent form.

Meanwhile, market analyst Javon Marks suggested that the bullish traction will persist. He predicted an over threefold price uptick to unprecedented highs.

A Dogecoin Surge on the Horizon

Marks stated in a January 17 post that Dogecoin is back showing strength amid the latest rally. In truth, the meme coin has recently shown bullish prospects, surging to an almost six-week high of $0.4351 earlier on Jan. 18.

Furthermore, the market expert suggested further upsides, citing Dogecoin’s historic cyclical performances. For context, the doggy-themed meme coin surged 12,000% four years ago and over 5,000% in 2017, spurred by bull market momentum.

With that in mind, Marks asserted that Dogecoin could surge over 432% to at least $2.28758 in the coming days. Per an accompanying chart, the unprecedented price mark lies at the 1.618 Fibonacci level, where the meme coin peaked in the last two cycles.

Travis Perry growing more comfortable in his role with Kentucky Wildcats Basketball

The Kentucky Wildcats are 11-2 as they have wrapped up non-conference play with their win over Brown this afternoon. Now, they will turn their attention to the Florida Gators and the rest of the SEC schedule.

One player, however, is looking to continue to grow in his role, as his minutes have increased over the last few weeks due to Kerr Kriisa’s injury. That is none other than Eddyville’s own Travis Perry.

Perry has been thrust into action to help play some point guard duties, and after a few tough appearances, he’s showing he has what it takes to play an important role on this team in

Mark Pope agreed and pointed out that the experience was only going to make Perry more comfortable.

“The one thing I learned is that TP is going to keep working into these minutes at the point, and he’s going to keep getting more and more comfortable,” Pope said after Tuesday’s win over Brown. “He’s got so much more to his game than we’re probably seeing in the limited minutes he’s had so far, because he’s still trying to just get over the newness of it.

“But as he settles in, and he’s going to settle in under fire, he’s going to be very, very, very serviceable, giving us some minutes at the point.”

Perry has started to show flashes of his scoring ability, making another 3-ball in the win over Brown and cutting to the basket to get some decent looks close to the rim. There is still growing to do, but the reps are starting to help Perry find his footing.

Going to be fun to see how he develops now that we enter the gauntlet of conference play.

I mean, it felt great because the first season we filmed everything, and it felt like this is a good show, but you still don’t fully, fully know until you see the finished product. So fast-forward to December of 2023, and you see it, and we’re at the premiere and everything and my girls are there, and we watched it and it kind of blew me away.

I felt so honored to be a part of the world and the Percy Jackson world and to be brought into it. Seeing that finished product, really it hit home with me. And then once you get out and about, and you start having families come up and grandparents come up and kids coming up and asking if I am Ares or if I’m Adam Copeland and not due to wrestling, that’s when I realized the show was onto something. Now, 16 Emmy nominations later, it’s pretty mind-blowing just to be a part of the whole thing.

Copeland also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to explore such a dynamic character in Ares:

I realize that actors wait their entire careers to get on a show like this and some never do. I don’t look past it at all, and I realize what a gift I’ve been given with the writing and with the character of Ares, because it’s the kind of character that is just open for exploration. There’s really no handcuffs with this character. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there’s some, we’re Disney, but just in terms of facials and movements and big and just making everything feel really big, which is what wrestling was all about.

So yeah, it’s been a pretty crazy ride. It felt good to get out there and film some scenes for this season. Yeah, I mean it’s not a tough gig, man. I fly to Vancouver, one of my favorite cities. I spend time with great people. I have loads of friends out there, so it feels like a homecoming every time I go. I love working with the cast, with the crew. It’s just a phenomenal group of people who all have the same goal.

Reflecting on what’s to come for Percy Jackson & The Olympians season 2, Copeland added:

Well, I think just with the characters naturally growing older there becomes more serious issues, but they’re following the books, but there’s always going to be some things added in like the diner scene in the first season that wasn’t in the books, but I’m so happy it was included in the scripts because that’s what I auditioned with, and I went, ‘Oh, there’s so much fun to be had here.’ I think there’s always going to be fun in this show. I mean, how can it not be when you look at what is happening and going on and the fantastical nature of everything?

The kids are growing, and they’re not so much kids anymore. I think it naturally follows the progression of what happens to you as you’re going through your teens. I think that’s why the books always connected, because I feel like people saw a bit of themselves in these characters and the awkward phases that you go through, but if you got friends it doesn’t feel quite as awkward. And I feel like at the heart of Percy Jackson, that’s really what they’re about.
