Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has a clear and favorite pick for the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday.
Before WWE Smackdown on Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Haliburton was interviewed by former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee.
“I’m expecting a lot of energy,” Haliburton said. “Indy deserves this. I’m really excited about it and it’s going to be a lot of fun. So let’s do it.”
Haliburton said he will be at the Royal Rumble after the Pacers play the Hawks at 5 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. For a prediction of the men’s Royal Rumble match? The crowd chanted for CM Punk, but Haliburton had other ideas.
“Does that mean I’m supposed to agree?” Haliburton said. “Give me John Cena!”

What is the Royal Rumble?
Royal Rumble is a 30-wrestler match in which two wrestlers begin in the ring, and another enters every 90 seconds. A wrestler is eliminated when he or she goes over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The winner is the last wrestler remaining in the ring, and he or she earns a berth in a world championship match at WrestleMania 41 on April 20 in Las Vegas.
