  • Harrison Ford hopes that he doesn’t “disappoint” fellow Marvel star Mark Ruffalo with his performance as Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World

It’s not easy being green, but turning red might be even tougher, especially for Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in Captain America: Brave New World. As the new Hulk on the block, Ford revealed that he had to face the excessive anger issues of his character alone, as Bruce Banner’s Mark Ruffalo couldn’t be reached for pointers. “He wasn’t available for a consultation. I just had to wing it,” Ford joked to On Demand Entertainment. “I hope he’s not disappointed.”

As far as we know, Ruffalo’s gamma-infused Avenger won’t be stomping by in the upcoming chapter of the MCU, which features Ford’s Ross facing off against Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as the all-new Captain America. It also marks the legendary actor’s first appearance in the franchise after replacing the late William Hurt, who passed away in 2022.

Veteran actor Harrison Ford is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the iconic character Red Hulk in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. However, Ford has expressed some nervousness about stepping into the superhero world, particularly in regards to his fellow Marvel star Mark Ruffalo.

In a recent interview, Ford revealed, “I have so much respect for Mark and his portrayal of the Hulk. He has brought such depth and complexity to the character, and I just hope that I can live up to the standard he has set. I don’t want to disappoint him or the fans.”

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Ford’s portrayal of Red Hulk, and many are excited to see how he will bring the character to life on the big screen. With his impressive track record in Hollywood, there’s no doubt that Ford will deliver a performance that will leave audiences in awe.

Captain America: Brave New World is set to hit theaters next year, and fans can’t wait to see Ford and Ruffalo share the screen as two iconic Marvel characters. Let’s hope that Ford’s fears are unfounded and that he will knock it out of the park as Red Hulk.

  • Rising artist Benson Boone brings Grammy hopes to his western Washington hometown

Before becoming a chart-topping singer, 22-year-old Benson Boone was known for his talent in the classroom and onstage.

MONROE, Wash. — This Sunday, all eyes will be on the 2025 Grammy Awards, and a small town in Washington will be cheering on one of its own. Benson Boone is from Monroe and is nominated in the Best New Artist category, marking a major milestone in his rising music career.

Boone, 22, was born and raised in Monroe, where he attended Monroe High School and honed his passion for music. Before becoming a chart-topping singer, Boone was known for his talent in the classroom and onstage — particularly during his senior year, when he starred as Buddy in the local school’s production of “Elf.”

His natural stage presence was clear from the start.

“He just shines in front of humans,” said Stephen Loewen, the teacher who cast and directed Boone in the play.

Long before his Grammy nod, Boone was known for his backflips, a hobby his dad, Nate Boone, says he started at just 3 years old.

“We just could never stop from having him do backflips off the couch or flips wherever he could,” Nate Boone told KING 5 over the phone.

But it wasn’t until later in high school that Boone discovered his passion for singing. After performing in the school’s “Battle of the Bands” competition, he realized music was his true calling. He went on to compete on “American Idol,” while amassing a sizeable following on Tiktok. His rising presence caught the attention of Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons. Boone soon signed with Reynolds’ record label, launching him into a whirlwind music career that included a world tour and opening for Taylor Swift.

For Boone, his roots in Washington are never far from his mind. Last spring, he awarded two local seniors his namesake Benson Boone Scholarship, reinforcing his commitment to supporting the community that helped shape him.

“Washington – we all love it here,” Nate Boone shared with KING 5, expressing excitement at the possibility of his son returning to perform in his home state after earning Grammy recognition.

As the 22-year-old continues to rise in the music world, those who have known him for years believe there is much more to come. “He’s got years ahead of him of a successful career,” Loewen added.

In Monroe, it’s clear that the excitement for Benson Boone’s success goes beyond the Grammy nomination. His journey from a small-town high school to the biggest stage in music serves as an inspiration to others in his community.

For now, all eyes are on the Grammys — but Benson Boone’s story is just getting started.

“He hasn’t stopped writing. He’s still putting out new work. And just seeing the stuff he’s continuing to create and the emotions he’s continuing to tap into, is enormous. And I think he’s really he’s connecting with so many different humans on so many different levels,” said Loewen.

His former Student Leadership teacher at Monroe High School, Jaime Johnson, said Benson Boone still exemplifies the qualities that matter most– even after his rise to fame.

“He’s also incredibly humble. He doesn’t realize all the talent that he has at all times,” said Johnson. “He’s also very loyal to, like, his group and to his people.”

She added, “I would say, as he’s at the Grammys, like… just to enjoy it! And to take it all in, you know? And just be present, yeah. And show love, win or lose… he’s gonna win eventually. If he doesn’t win this time, he will later.”

Rising artist Benson Boone is making waves in the music industry, and his western Washington hometown couldn’t be prouder. The talented singer-songwriter has been gaining attention for his soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics, and now he’s setting his sights on the ultimate prize: a Grammy award.

Benson’s journey to stardom has been nothing short of inspiring. Growing up in a small town in western Washington, he always had a passion for music. He started writing songs at a young age and honed his craft by performing at local open mic nights and talent shows. His hard work paid off when he caught the attention of music industry insiders, who were impressed by his raw talent and undeniable star quality.

Now, Benson is on the fast track to success, with his debut album receiving critical acclaim and earning him a loyal fan base. His powerful voice and emotional lyrics have struck a chord with listeners around the world, and he’s quickly becoming a household name in the music industry.

As Benson’s star continues to rise, his western Washington hometown is rallying behind him, cheering him on every step of the way. The community is buzzing with excitement as they watch one of their own chase his dreams and make a name for himself on the global stage.

With his sights set on a Grammy award, Benson Boone is proving that anything is possible with hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of talent. And as he continues to dazzle audiences with his music, his hometown is bursting with pride, knowing that they played a part in shaping the career of a future music legend.

  • Lauren Graham Hopes ‘Gilmore Girls’ Fans Tune in for ‘The Z-Suite’

Lauren Graham touched down in Park City on Thursday to attend the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her new film, Twinless. The bromance dramedy stars Dylan O’Brien opposite the film’s writer-director James Sweeney in the story of two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group and form an unlikely bond.

Graham plays the mother of O’Brien’s characters — the Maze Runner star has dual roles as the twins, one who dies unexpectedly and the other as he attempts to find peace after losing his other half — and while the role is small, the veteran actress couldn’t pass it up. “I don’t often get offered something a little darker and something that felt like a cool challenge,” Graham told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet inside the Eccles Center Theatre. “It doesn’t need to be about me. I can just go do something because I like it.” Plus, she said she “loves Dylan’s work.”

Of her few scenes with O’Brien, Graham noted that the two just really clicked. “He’s got such a great charisma and he just worked so hard on both of these twins and took it so seriously, but with a lightness and just kindness to the crew and to me. There’s no place he can’t go.”

As for Graham, she has places to go. The actress is scheduled to be in Park City for only about 24 hours before jetting off to New York City for a media promotion blitz for her new show, The Z-Suite on Tubi. The show, set to premiere Feb. 6, casts Graham as Monica Marks, an advertising maven, and Nico Santos as her loyal right-hand executive, both of whom find themselves pushed out and canceled after a blunder. Together, they must find a way back to glory while facing off against eager Gen Z staffers who have taken her place.

The schedule will include the morning show rounds, a red carpet premiere and press junket, a swirl that Graham hasn’t been on in a few years, she said. “I’m on a new network where [the show is among] the first scripted programming,” she explained. “There’s a little bit of pressure, but also just a lot of momentum and excitement and we will just try not to screw it up.”

After the trailer dropped this week, a handful of headlines appeared trying to connect the dots between Graham’s Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls and Monica Marks on The Z-Suite. Graham appreciates the connection but insists the characters could not be more different.

“There are no similarities and I hope they’ll come along for this ride,” she told THR. “I can’t do that. I can never replicate the beauty and the magic of that character and that writing and that time, so I might as well not try. This is something very different, but she’s fun and kooky and the show has a spirit to it that I think has a coziness to it, but it’s very different character.”

Lauren Graham, best known for her role as Lorelai Gilmore in the beloved series “Gilmore Girls,” is hoping that fans of the show will tune in for her latest project, “The Z-Suite.”

In a recent interview, Graham expressed her excitement for the upcoming series and encouraged fans to check it out. “I think ‘The Z-Suite’ is going to be a really fun and unique show that fans will enjoy,” she said. “It’s a bit of a departure from ‘Gilmore Girls,’ but I think viewers will appreciate the different tone and style of the show.”

“The Z-Suite” follows the story of a group of friends who find themselves living in a haunted hotel room, where they must navigate the supernatural occurrences that come their way. Graham plays the role of Sarah, a no-nonsense lawyer who is forced to confront her own fears and insecurities as she navigates the strange happenings in the hotel.

Fans of Graham and “Gilmore Girls” are sure to be intrigued by this new project, and Graham is hoping that they will tune in to see her in a different light. “I think fans will be pleasantly surprised by ‘The Z-Suite’ and I can’t wait for them to see it,” she said.

So mark your calendars and be sure to check out “The Z-Suite” when it premieres – Lauren Graham and the rest of the cast are sure to deliver a thrilling and entertaining experience for viewers.

  • LinkedIn Founder Reid Hoffman sees bright AI future and hopes his tech peers are right about Trump

LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman has been immersed in Silicon Valley since his August 1967 birth in Palo Alto, California, in the shadow of Stanford University, where he and fellow technology luminary Peter Thiel became friends as college students during the 1980s.

They went on to start PayPal during the late 1990s while working alongside a coterie of other bright-eyed entrepreneurs who went on to even bigger things, just as Hoffman did. That group — dubbed the “PayPal Mafia” — included Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, and YouTube co-founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen.

Now worth an estimated $2.6 billion, Hoffman has been at the forefront of the artificial intelligence craze while investing in trailblazing startups such as ChatGPT maker OpenAI and Inflection. Unlike other prominent technologists who are worried about AI destroying humanity, Hoffman has co-written a new book called “Superagency” that makes an optimistic case for AI. He recently talked with The Associated Press.

Q: Are humans creating something smarter than themselves with AI?

A: You already have some version of superintelligence right now. Obviously, we will be increasing that superintelligence, so we need to be thinking about which ways it’s going to be making great additions and which ways it’s going to make things more challenging.

Humans are generally bad at transitions, and that is part of the reason for writing books like “Superagency,” to try to say there are some positive design principles, some positive outcomes that we should be trying to work our way toward.

Q: Do you think there is a chance that these superintelligent AI agents eventually may seem omniscient?

A: AI agents are pretty useful for coaching and advising. Like if you were to say, “Hey, how should I approach this thorny problem?” An AI agent can be a pretty good advice-giving coach. And so you can imagine it being a useful tutor across a wide variety of subjects, including even spiritual or counseling or mental ones. And I think that could be positive for the evolution of humanity, having something talking to us that is infinitely patient and is trying to help us get to our better selves. So, yes, you could have a “Consult the Oracle” situation with AI agents.

Q: What’s the risk of some people embracing AI as a bosom buddy and becoming more socially isolated?

A: Some of that will happen for sure, the same way some people isolated themselves with TV or the internet. Part of this will be about the design focus. If you go to Inflection’s AI agent, Pi, and say, “Hey you’re my best friend,” Pi, will say, “No, I am your AI companion, let’s talk about your friendships. Have you seen any of your friends recently or want to see them?” We want AI agents being softly and gently encouraging, to be tied into the human circumstance, which I think is what most people really want.

Q: On the flip side, as these AI agents become more human-like, could that get people more in touch with their own humanity?

A: Our humanity is expressed in how we incorporate technology in our lives, just as we are communicating through Zoom for this interview. I think that is part of our humanity.

Q: Switching topics, are you worried about President Trump retaliating against you for being one of Kamala Harris’ biggest supporters in Silicon Valley leading up to last year’s election?

2024 obviously was a very intense year and what I am trying not to do is speculate too much about that because in 2025 I am going to really focus on how I build and fund really interesting AI companies and other areas that help build industries that make a difference. My obvious hope is that the incoming administration will turn to a positive agenda. I kind of feel at this point that speculation is not really helpful. We will see in a couple of months how it’s all going to play out.

Q: Were you surprised by how much support President Trump got from other technology billionaires like Elon Musk and Marc Andreessen?

A: It wasn’t surprising that the people who were very intensely pro-cryptocurrency were pro-Trump because the Biden administration was so negative on crypto. Also the fact that the Biden administration — unlike the Obama administration — was not putting in a lot of energy into saying, “Hey we think that new technology and new technology companies of the future are really important.” And I think a bunch of the Biden administration staff was somewhat negative on large, tech companies.

What did surprise me — and now I am very much hoping they are right — is that they thought the Trump administration would be very strongly and thoughtfully pro business across the arena. Let’s see what happens with tariffs, let’s hope that it doesn’t play out in a particularly challenging way.

A: Do you think your old PayPal colleagues Peter Thiel and Elon Musk are playing a form of political chess?

The thing that is so important about Silicon Valley is the broadly held belief — even if it’s manifested differently in Peter versus me or other people, — is that the creation of new technology companies is how progress is made. And I think it’s an important mission for the country and the world as well as Silicon Valley. The degree to which they are playing chess around that, I don’t know. But I think they are driven on that mission and part of what they are doing is trying to make sure that mission is fully realized in the Trump administration.

Q: Do you agree with Trump’s supporters in Silicon Valley that it’s time to ease up on the rigorous regulation of tech that we had during President Biden’s administration?

A: I do. I hope there will be much more enablement of technology innovation.

Q: Going back to your book, what do you say about AI pioneers like Nobel Prize winner Geoffrey Hinton who now see the technology as a threat to humanity?

A: I tend to rate a lot of risks based on how does it compare to my risk to driving to the airport because every time you get in a car and drive to the airport, the highest risk of the journey is on the drive and not on the plane. If the risk is in the automobile-level of percentage, then I don’t worry about it that much. And, if you say, “Well this is much bigger, this could be an existential human risk.” Then I say, “Well, yeah, that’s part of the reason you put more energy into being protective in navigating and steering it.”

LinkedIn Founder Reid Hoffman recently shared his optimistic views on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and expressed hope that his fellow tech industry leaders are right about President Donald Trump.

In a recent interview, Hoffman discussed the potential of AI to revolutionize industries and improve efficiency in various sectors. He emphasized the importance of ethical AI development and the need for responsible implementation of this technology.

Additionally, Hoffman expressed hope that his tech peers are correct in their assessment of President Trump and his administration. Many tech leaders have been critical of Trump’s policies and rhetoric, particularly on issues such as immigration and climate change. However, some have also expressed optimism about the potential for collaboration with the government on areas of mutual interest, such as infrastructure and job creation.

Hoffman’s positive outlook on both AI and the potential for cooperation with the Trump administration reflects his belief in the power of technology to drive positive change. As a prominent figure in the tech industry, his perspectives carry weight and influence, and his optimism is a hopeful sign for the future of innovation and progress.

  • Bo Nickal claims Ilia Topuria vs. Alexander Volkanovski 2 ‘official’ for UFC 314, hopes to join them on card

Bo Nickal knows something nobody else knows about the upcoming UFC 314 pay-per-view.

The multi-time NCAA champion wrestler turned top prospect revealed on his podcast that UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria is expected to defend his title against Alexander Volkanovski in one of the marquee fights headed to the card on April 12 with all signs pointing towards Miami as the destination. While he didn’t reveal his sources, Nickal shares the same management company as Topuria and he hopes to join him on that card for his first fight in 2025.

“It’s official,” Nickal said about Topuria vs. Volkanovski 2 on his YouTube channel. “I know for a fact. I don’t know that it was announced for a fact, but I know it’s happening for a fact. I’m announcing it.

“I might fight on that card. That’s the card I’m trying to fight on. April, Miami.”

UFC officials haven’t announced the main event for the card but several bouts have already been confirmed for that date including a showdown between two-time light heavyweight title contender Dominick Reyes and Nikita Krylov.

Nickal last fought at UFC 309 this past November where he earned a unanimous decision win over Paul Craig in a bout that earned him a lot of criticism for failing to dazzle after spending the majority of the 15-minute affair on the feet. With a background in wrestling, Nickal had largely dominated his competition thus far through grappling but he turned to his striking to best Craig.

He didn’t mention any potential opponents but Nickal wants to fight on that card, which is currently expected to take place close to his home gym where he trains at American Top Team in Florida.

As for the Topuria rematch against Volkanovski, Nickal admits he’s not all that enthusiastic about the fight considering how things played out the first time around.

Topuria scored a vicious second-round knockout on Volkanovski to claim the UFC featherweight title before defending the belt with a win over Max Holloway this past October. Despite the setback, Volkanovski was promised an immediate rematch with Topuria and now it sounds like that’s close to a reality for him with UFC 314 just around the corner.

In an ideal world, Nickal admits he would like to see Topuria get the chance to go up to 155 pounds to challenge Islam Makhachev for his title, but it doesn’t sound like that’s happening any time soon.

“Ilia and Islam would be sick,” Nickal said. “I don’t know about Ilia and Volk rematch. I mean I get it. Volk had to rematch [Max] Holloway a bunch of times. He knocked [Volkanovski] out clean. Bad. I love Volk, he’s great. I don’t see a path to victory for him really.”

Penn State wrestling legend Bo Nickal took to social media today to announce that the highly anticipated rematch between Ilia Topuria and Alexander Volkanovski has been made ‘official’ for UFC 314. Nickal, who has been vocal about his desire to transition to MMA, expressed his excitement for the matchup and hinted at the possibility of making his UFC debut on the same card.

Topuria and Volkanovski first clashed in a barnburner of a fight at UFC 300, with Topuria emerging victorious in a close decision. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a rematch ever since, and it seems that their wish has finally been granted.

Nickal, a three-time NCAA champion and one of the most promising prospects in MMA, is no stranger to big stages and tough competition. If he does indeed make his UFC debut at UFC 314, it will undoubtedly be a must-watch event for fight fans around the world.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development, as well as any potential additions to the UFC 314 card.

  • Terry Bradshaw brutally dismissed Chiefs three-peat hopes live on FOX NFL Sunday

Terry Bradshaw doesn’t believe that postseason history will be made this year as he previously shot down the Kansas City Chiefs’ hopes of accomplishing a Super Bowl three-peat.

On Saturday, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and company will face off against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round. With a win over Houston and subsequent victory over either the Baltimore Ravens or Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, Kansas City would punch its ticket to a third-consecutive Super Bowl.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs, Bradshaw isn’t expecting them to get that far. While making an appearance on ‘ FOX NFL Sunday ’ last December, he voiced little belief in Kansas City’s playoff chances.

“Are the Chiefs your number one team in the AFC right now?” Charissa Thompson asked Bradshaw, who promptly replied: “They’re not going to win three in a row, but …”

Upon being reminded by Peter Schrager that no NFL team has ever managed to accomplish the feat, Bradshaw added: “That’s one of the reasons. The other reason is, I just think – you see how quick they get rid of the ball now, you see how quick, quick, quick, quick, quick?

“I just think they’re going to load up against a team like Buffalo, they’re going to load up against a team like Baltimore – those are the two teams that could beat them, and I think it’s going to happen, even though it would be in Kansas City.”

Bradshaw’s criticism of the Chiefs came as somewhat of a surprise, considering he dubbed them a heavy favorite to win Super Bowl LIX just one month prior. Discussing Kansas City’s narrow 30-27 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, the 76-year-old said at the time: “How long do they continue doing this and winning [like] this, and will it finally let them down when it counts most? I doubt it.

“I just don’t think that’s going to happen. This football team knows how to win.”

Mahomes, for one, expressed utmost confidence that the Chiefs could win a third-straight Super Bowl not long after securing the second. On the heels of Kansas City’s 25-22 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, he told teammates and coaches while still celebrating on the field: “Hey, we’re not done dawg. I want three, no one’s ever got three … I want back-to-back-to-back.”

Speaking to reporters during a postgame press conference, Mahomes expressed a similar sentiment, adding: “It [would be] legendary. No one’s ever done it, and we knew it’s legendary to win back-to-back.

“I think eight other teams have done it. We had heard it all week. We had talked to the guys [who had gone back-to-back] about it, and we felt like we had the best opportunity that we had ever had to go out there and do that.

“We’ve got to continue to play our best football. We’ll celebrate these next few weeks, and then we’ll get right back at it.”

On Sunday morning, Terry Bradshaw delivered a brutal blow to the hopes of Kansas City Chiefs fans everywhere during FOX NFL Sunday. As the crew discussed the Chiefs’ chances of winning a third consecutive Super Bowl, Bradshaw didn’t hold back in his assessment.

“Let’s be real here, the Chiefs are not winning a third straight Super Bowl,” Bradshaw declared confidently. “They may have a talented roster, but the competition in the AFC is fierce, and repeating as champions is incredibly difficult.”

Bradshaw went on to point out the challenges the Chiefs would face in the playoffs, including potential matchups against powerhouse teams like the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. He emphasized that the road to a third Super Bowl victory would be anything but easy for Kansas City.

Chiefs fans were left reeling from Bradshaw’s blunt assessment, but the Hall of Famer’s words served as a reality check for those dreaming of another championship parade in Kansas City. While the Chiefs remain a formidable team, Bradshaw made it clear that a three-peat was not in the cards for them this season.

As the regular season winds down and the playoffs loom on the horizon, only time will tell if Bradshaw’s prediction proves to be accurate. But for now, Chiefs fans are coming to terms with the harsh reality that their team may not be destined for a historic three-peat.

  • Dybantsa, top NBA prospect in ’26, hopes to play with Wembanyama

PARIS — The desire to play with Victor Wembanyama may someday draw fellow stars to the San Antonio Spurs, but he’s already attracting the next generation.

That was the message Saturday from A.J. Dybantsa, who is the nation’s top-rated high school player and potential No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA draft. Dybantsa, who committed to BYU in December, traveled to Paris this week for the NBA’s Global Games and to get an up-close look at Wembanyama, telling ESPN he would like the Spurs to draft him next year so they can pair up.

“I think Victor is just ridiculous; the things he does are just crazy,” said Dybantsa, whose Utah Prep (Hurricane, Utah) high school team had the week off. “I just think we would’ve been a crazy duo. Now the odds of that happening are very slim. But I mean, it was just a thought that came up in my mind when he got drafted. But you never know.”

The Spurs have nearly equaled their win total from last season already, and with Wembanyama improving, the odds of the Spurs being at the top of the 2026 draft when Dybantsa is projected to go do make the short-term chances of the pairing a little hard to see at the moment.

The 6-foot-9 Dybantsa, who turns 18 on Wednesday, coming to see these Paris games this week is a reminder of two years ago when a 19-year-old Wembanyama sat courtside at a Detroit PistonsChicago Bulls game. Wembanyama was the central attraction in Saturday’s game against the Indiana Pacers, a progression Dybantsa would like to follow.

    “That’s the goal,” Dybantsa said.

Last weekend, Dybantsa scored 25 points in a loss to Monteverde Academy in a showcase game in Springfield, Massachusetts, that was televised on ESPN2. He’s soon to return to the U.S., where he is working on his game. It’s a little unclear what position he might play at the next level, but Dybantsa has shown a talent for playing both on and off the ball.

“I’m working on improving my shot. I’m trying to shoot 40% from the 3-point line,” he said. “Obviously I’ve got to extend my range because the farther up I go, the farther the [3-point] line gets.”

Dybantsa, the top NBA prospect in 2026, has been making waves in the basketball world with his incredible skills and potential. But what has really caught the attention of fans and analysts alike is his recent statement expressing his desire to play alongside French phenom Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama, a 7-foot-2 center considered by many to be a once-in-a-generation talent, has already garnered comparisons to the likes of Rudy Gobert and Anthony Davis. His shot-blocking ability, versatility on defense, and improving offensive game have made him one of the most coveted prospects in recent years.

Dybantsa, a dynamic point guard known for his scoring ability, court vision, and leadership on the court, sees the potential to form a formidable duo with Wembanyama in the NBA. The idea of pairing his playmaking skills with Wembanyama’s dominant presence in the paint excites Dybantsa and has fueled his motivation to reach the highest level of the game.

While it remains to be seen if Dybantsa and Wembanyama will indeed end up on the same team, the prospect of them teaming up in the NBA is a tantalizing one for basketball fans. With their complementary skills and potential to become superstars in their own right, the future looks bright for these two young talents. Stay tuned for updates on Dybantsa and Wembanyama as they continue their journey towards the NBA.

‘We want to get back to those levels’ – Taylor hopes Manchester City set standards at Aston Villa

Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor is hoping to see his side get back to their best when they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.

The Cityzens go into the match having lost back-to-back matches in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Manchester City have not been at their absolute sharpest in the last couple of league games.

When speaking to the media ahead of the trip to Aston Villa, Taylor reflected on the performance in the reverse fixture. Manchester City performed well in a 2-1 win and Taylor wants to see his side get back to having more control of games.

“They’ve got a new manager in place now but Shaun [Goater] will still take the team,” Taylor said. “It’ll be really good to see him first and foremost and in terms of what we’ve seen, he’s slightly changed things from what Robert [de Pauw] was doing previously.

“If I go back to that game [against Aston Villa at home], I thought we were excellent. The amount of control that we had in that game, we limited Villa to very little; we conceded from one of the few attacks that they had, I thought the team were outstanding that day. Lauren Hemp played a big part and Jill Roord with her goal.

“It was very similar to the Liverpool game at Anfield where sometimes, when you turn those games around, you’re so satisfied with the performance, the levels and the control you have, Of course, we want to try and do that again. We want to get back to those levels and the standards that we set earlier in the season.”

Opponents Aston Villa are four games unbeaten under the leadership of caretaker Shaun Goater. Taylor has not been surprised by The Villans’ improved form under Goater.

He said “I’m not surprised because Shaun cares a lot. First and foremost, he’s a great guy, an old teammate and he’s probably taken a few things with him from us which is really good. You can kind of see some similarities; they play with one deep midfielder now rather than two which is similar to how we do things.

“It’ll be really good to see him. We are both competitive and that’s not changed. It’ll certainly be the same at the weekend where we are both going at it, trying to win the game for our respective teams.”

Taylor says that he will sit down and chat with Goater about the game but the talking is likely to be done post-match.

He said “I think we will speak afterwards out of respect because it’ll be a cagey conversation I can assure you. We have spoken on a few occasions since he’s taken the role on an interim basis. It’ll be radio silence until we see each other.”

Manchester City’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at Aston Villa kicks-off at 12pm on Saturday afternoon.

After Manchester City’s dominant 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, midfielder Taylor expressed his hopes for his team to set high standards at the club. “We want to get back to those levels,” Taylor stated, emphasizing the importance of maintaining consistency and excellence in their performance. With City’s impressive display against Villa, Taylor believes that the team has the potential to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the league. Stay tuned as City continues their quest for success this season. #ManchesterCity #AstonVilla #PremierLeague #Taylor #Standards

  • Here’s why Madison Keys hopes she won’t get a text from Frances Tiafoe before Australian Open final

Madison Keys has no doubt been bombarded by messages of congratulations and encouragement by family, friends, and fans alike during this Australian Open as the American has advanced to her first Grand Slam singles final in eight years.

But there’s one person that Keys hopes she won’t be hearing from before she steps into Rod Laver Arena to face Aryna Sabalenka for the women’s singles title on Saturday night in Melbourne: her good friend and fellow American Frances Tiafoe.

Don’t worry: They’re still tight. She’s just superstitious.

“We have this kind of joke where in the past he wouldn’t say anything pre-tournament or anything, and then he would text me, like, in the quarters or the semis or something, and I would lose the next round,” Keys said before toppling Iga Swiatek in a dramatic semifinal match where she saved match point.

“So we have this new rule. Like I saw him a few days ago, and I said, ‘Don’t text me, I don’t want to hear from you at all, just leave me alone and we’ll talk after the tournament.’”

Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe have been close friends for years, but as the Australian Open final approaches, Keys is hoping she won’t receive a text from Tiafoe.

The reason? Tiafoe is known for his playful banter and trash-talking on the court, and Keys doesn’t want any distractions as she prepares to compete in one of the biggest matches of her career.

While their friendship off the court is strong, Keys knows that Tiafoe’s competitive spirit could get the best of him if he were to send her a message before the final. She wants to stay focused and mentally prepared for the match, and she knows that any distractions could throw her off her game.

So, as Keys gears up for the final, she’s hoping that Tiafoe will respect her wishes and keep the texts to a minimum. After all, when it comes to competing for a Grand Slam title, every little bit of focus counts.

  • Madison Keys’ Slam hopes hinge on playing match of her life (again)

Hey Aryna Sabalenka, we know you’re getting ready to go for your Australian Open three-peat Saturday and you’re No. 1 in the world and far and away the best hard court player on the women’s tour.

But for all of us American tennis fans, can you please just let Madison Keys have this one?

My goodness does she deserve it.

A few weeks from her 30th birthday, Keys played the match of her life Thursday morning in the U.S. (Thursday night in Australia) to outlast No. 2 Iga Swiatek 5-7, 6-1, 7-6, capped by a 10-8 tiebreak in which it seemed like Keys was fighting from behind the entire way until a late burst of energy lifted her over the finish line.

Madison Keys’ Slam hopes hinge on playing match of her life (again)

As the US Open approaches, all eyes are on Madison Keys as she looks to finally break through and capture her first Grand Slam title. The American has come close before, reaching the finals of the 2017 US Open and the semifinals of the French Open and Australian Open in 2018. But despite her undeniable talent and powerful game, Keys has struggled to consistently perform at the highest level when it matters most.

In order to hoist the trophy in New York, Keys will need to summon the same level of play that saw her dismantle top players like Garbine Muguruza and Elina Svitolina en route to the final in 2017. She will need to serve impeccably, move fluidly, and maintain her aggressive style of play throughout the tournament.

Keys has shown flashes of brilliance throughout her career, but it is her ability to bring her A-game when it truly counts that will determine whether or not she can break through and claim her maiden Grand Slam title. With the likes of Ashleigh Barty, Naomi Osaka, and Simona Halep standing in her way, Keys will need to play the match of her life (again) if she hopes to emerge victorious at the US Open. Only time will tell if she has what it takes to rise to the occasion and fulfill her Slam dreams.
