  • Ryan Reynolds’ Concerning Look At Hugh Jackman’s Event Leaves Fans Worried

Ryan Reynolds raised eyebrows with his appearance at the opening night of Hugh Jackman’s “From New York With Love” residency at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan last Friday.

While Ryan Reynolds brought his signature humor and heartfelt admiration to the event, fans couldn’t help but notice his seemingly fatigued and unwell demeanor, sparking concern on social media.

Ryan Reynolds Sparks Concern At Hugh Jackman’s Residency Opening

Hugh Jackman’s 24-date residency featured iconic songs from his celebrated career, including numbers from “The Boy From Oz,” “Les Misérables,” “The Greatest Showman,” and “The Music Man.” The performance marked Jackman’s first concert in five years and was an emotional milestone for the actor.

Reynolds attended the event to support his longtime friend and “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” co-star. Dressed in an embroidered beige shirt, Reynolds appeared visibly gaunt and overly tanned, with fans describing him as looking “like he hasn’t slept for days.”

During the show, Reynolds participated in a surprise “Hugh & A” session, starting with his trademark wit. “I was told this was going to be a comedy version of ‘Les Mis’ as a one-man show. We all said it was a terrible idea, but he carried on. I see he’s duped me once again!” he quipped, earning laughs from the audience.

Reynolds didn’t just bring humor—he also delivered a heartfelt tribute to Jackman. Reflecting on their first collaboration 16 years ago, Reynolds praised Jackman’s professionalism and kindness.

“This was the first major movie star I ever worked with,” Reynolds shared. “What I saw was just about the best thing anyone could experience if you’re working your way up in the industry. I love this man, I care about this man. He is genuinely the best human being I know.”

Reynolds jokingly added, “And I have four children!” prompting laughter from Jackman, who teased back, calling Reynolds his “fifth best friend” and joking about Reynolds asking for a free ticket to the show.

Despite the lighthearted moments, fans took to social media to express their worry over Reynolds’ appearance.

“Dude looks like he hasn’t slept for dayyyyysssss,” one user commented.

    “He looks unwell,” another added.

A third urged, “Take a break, RR. Might be a better move at the moment.”

“He looks different than the way he used to be. He looks like he’s struggling inside,” someone else observed.

Fans Claim Ryan Reynolds Is Just Trying To Save His Image

Adding to the speculation surrounding Reynolds’ appearance is his ongoing legal battle with his wife, Blake Lively, against Justin Baldoni, the director and star of her last film, “It Ends With Us.” The lawsuit, reportedly over creative disputes and contract breaches, has been described as a full-blown legal war and appears to be taking a toll on the couple.

Some are even claiming the couple is pulling PR stunts to try and save their image.

“This is embarrassing,” one Instagram user claimed. “He is again trying too hard. He knows people are cancelling him and his wife, and he wants to win people back. You are failing, Ryan.”

“Both in damage control mode [at the moment]. Both incredibly desperate to win back the public,” someone else said. “Both need to do more than make public and obviously rehearsed professions of love for each other. Both of their recent actions and behaviors speak louder than this publicity stunt.”

Leaked ‘It Ends With Us’ Footage Reveals Key Context

Adding fuel to the fire, Baldoni’s legal team recently released behind-the-scenes footage from “It Ends With Us” to challenge Lively’s allegations. While intended to disprove claims of harassment, the footage has sparked heated debate and provided new context to the controversial case.

The unedited clip, which has since gone viral, features a romantic dance scene at the center of Lively’s allegations. In her complaint, Lively accused Baldoni of dragging his lips down her neck and whispering, “It smells so good,” during a silent take. She claimed the remark went unnoticed by others because the microphones were off.

However, the seven-minute video offers a different narrative. At one point, Baldoni is heard asking, “Am I getting beard on you?” to which Lively responds with laughter, “I’m probably getting spray tan on you.” Baldoni then remarks, “It smells good,” prompting more laughter as Lively explains the scent comes from her body makeup.

The footage has divided public opinion. Baldoni’s team argues it showcases a consensual, professional interaction, while Lively’s team contends it highlights how subtle moments can still contribute to a larger pattern of inappropriate behavior.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been known for their playful banter and friendly rivalry over the years, but a recent event has left fans concerned about their relationship.

During a recent public appearance, Ryan Reynolds was caught giving Hugh Jackman a concerning look that has fans speculating about the state of their friendship. The look appeared to be a mix of confusion and sadness, leading fans to wonder if there may be some underlying tension between the two actors.

Many fans took to social media to express their worries about the situation, with some even speculating that there may be a rift between the two longtime friends. Others are hoping that it was just a moment caught out of context and that there is nothing to be concerned about.

Regardless of the true nature of the look, one thing is for sure – fans are invested in the friendship between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman and are hoping that whatever may be going on between them can be resolved. Only time will tell if this concerning look was just a passing moment or if there is something more serious going on behind the scenes.

  • Hugh Jackman Is the Greatest Showman

Hugh Jackman may be the only male movie star who feels equally at home in both superhero tights and tap shoes. He spent the majority of 2022 baton waving as Harold Hill in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of The Music Man opposite Sutton Foster, then followed that by taking his Wolverine claws out of retirement to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in Marvel’s mega-blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine.

Now Jackman’s pendulum is swinging back to Broadway as he embarks on a residency of sorts at Radio City Music Hall. Jackman’s performing a concert called “From New York, With Love,” scheduled for about 24 dates between now and October. (Despite the title, he’ll perform the same material in a headlining gig at BST Hyde Park in London this summer.) At Friday’s sold-out debut performance, Jackman seemed positively giddy to be back onstage. He opened the roughly 105-minute show on his guitar with a Neil Diamond ditty, backed by a talented 20-plus-piece band and four capable backup singers.

From the start, it was clear Jackman had both joie de vivre and the well-polished expertise of an experienced emcee—fitting, considering he’s hosted both the Tonys and the Oscars. But while Jackman was clearly thrilled to be back onstage, his show itself leaves something to be desired—especially for those, like me, who are not necessarily die-hard fans of The Greatest Showman, Jackman’s 2017 blockbuster movie musical. By my count, Jackman performed at least five Greatest Showman songs in full, including “The Greatest Show,” “From Now On,” and “The Other Side”—each number cornier than the last. Clearly, the film and its composers, EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, are close to Jackman’s heart; he even took to the piano to perform a well-intentioned but musically clunky cover of “You Will Be Found” from their Tony-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen.

While at times it felt like a Pasek-and-Paul greatest-hits concert, Jackman’s repertoire did extend beyond the duo. He delivered an almost word-perfect of “Ya Got Trouble” from The Music Man and a medley of Peter Allen songs, a sweet tribute to his Tony-winning performance as the closeted Aussie songwriter in The Boy From Oz. Jackman’s singing voice is almost Patti LuPone–ian in style, with a foghorn timber that’s both unique and ripe for parody. Sure, his incredibly wide vibrato can sometimes careen off-key—especially when he’s also engaging in light choreo. But when he’s on, as he mostly was on Friday night, Jackman’s voice is powerful and unmistakable.

This was clearest when Jackman covered two songs from Les Misérables, the beloved Broadway musical whose 2012 film adaptation brought Jackman his only Oscar nomination for his turn as Jean Valjean. After telling an endearing story about how he sang “Stars” for his first professional audition—and cracked on the last note—Jackman proceeded to blow his Les Miz costar Russell Crowe out of the water (to be fair, a relatively easy task) with his grounded, gorgeously still performance of Inspector Javert’s anthem. He then raised the bar, holding back tears as he sang Valjean’s epic “What Have I Done”—delivering a vocally impressive performance performed with movie-star specificity that fittingly received the night’s longest applause break.

Sadly, a concert full of ballads from Les Miz might not have been enough for the show’s 5,000-odd attendees—mostly middle-aged women and a surprisingly large smattering of Marvel fans who, according to one audience cheer, had no idea before Friday that Jackman could even sing. Jackman came prepared for this, and peppered in plenty of Marvel fan service as well. There were copious references to the years he spent playing Wolverine, with the 56-year-old Jackman even performing his own version of Deadpool’s viral opening-credit dance—an athletic jump rope number to ’NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye” that could have doubled as the choreography to “Whipped Into Shape” from Legally Blonde: The Musical.

The most unexpected Marvel moment came when Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, popped out of the crowd to run an AMA, or rather an AHA (Ask Hugh Anything) with the audience. Reynolds playfully ribbed his costar and longtime friend: “He used to be a movie star…and now all the singing and stuff,” he said with a wince, getting a big laugh. Jokes aside, Reynolds made it clear that he had nothing but love for Jackman. “I love this man. I care about this man. He’s genuinely the best human being I know, and I have four children,” he said.

Hugh Jackman Is the Greatest Showman

Hugh Jackman has captured the hearts of audiences around the world with his incredible talent, charm, and charisma. From his iconic role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise to his unforgettable performance as P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman, Jackman continues to dazzle and delight fans with his versatile acting abilities.

In The Greatest Showman, Jackman brings the story of the legendary circus impresario to life with passion and energy. His powerful vocals and captivating stage presence make him the perfect choice to portray the larger-than-life character of Barnum. Jackman truly embodies the spirit of showmanship and entertains audiences with his electrifying performances.

Beyond his acting and singing talents, Jackman is also known for his philanthropic efforts and dedication to important causes. He uses his platform to raise awareness and support for various charitable organizations, making a positive impact on the world around him.

In conclusion, Hugh Jackman is truly the greatest showman of our time. His talent, charisma, and generosity make him a beloved figure in the entertainment industry and a role model for fans everywhere. Whether he’s on the big screen or the Broadway stage, Jackman never fails to impress and inspire.

Hugh Grant has backed Prince Harry’s call for a fresh police investigation into Rupert Murdoch’s media empire.

The actor called on Keir Starmer to show ‘leadership’ and stop ‘criminal abuse by big corporations’ after the Prince won a multi-million pound settlement this week over phone hacking claims against The Sun newspaper.

Mr Grant accepted a large settlement from Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers (NGN) last year after dropping his own claim of being illegally targeted by The Sun.

Prince Harry’s settlement came after NGN admitted for the first time that The Sun had been involved in illegal intrusion.

In the past it had said it was restricted to the News of the World which closed in 2011 as a result of the phone hacking scandal.

Mr Grant said he and Prince Harry were determined to ‘get at the real truth’ but had been prevented from doing so because NGN had ‘gamed the system’ by paying more than £1 billion in settlements to hacking victims to avoid court proceedings.

Mr Grant told the BBC that in the light of Prince Harry’s settlement ‘the CPS and police should launch a new criminal investigation into this.

The Duke of Sussex has settled his claim against News Group Newspapers, which offered a full and unequivocal apology (Jordan Pettitt/PA) (PA Archive)

“That was the aim of the Prince Harry case as I understand it and it was certainly my original aim,” he said. “We need leadership from the Prime Minister. If a government is there for anything, particularly a Labour government, it is to protect the public from the abuses of criminality by big corporations.”

Mr Grant criticised Rebekah Brooks, chief executive of NGN, who is a former editor of The Sun.

“The people who were giving the orders are still there in positions of great power – in fact the CEO of NGN was editor of The Sun at the time when, as they have now admitted, it was indulging in criminality.”

Mr Grant said that he and other members of the ‘Hacked Off’ group who have campaigned for tougher curbs on press abuses did not think sufficient action had been taken to stop it happening again or to hold those responsible to account.

”We do not think it is job done by any means,” he said.

NGN has denied the allegations but issued an apology to Harry as the settlement was announced on Wednesday.

The statement said: “NGN offers a full and unequivocal apology to the Duke of Sussex for the serious intrusion by The Sun between 1996 and 2011 into his private life, including incidents of unlawful activities carried out by private investigators working for The Sun.

“NGN also offers a full and unequivocal apology to the Duke of Sussex for the phone hacking, surveillance and misuse of private information by journalists and private investigators instructed by them at the News of the World.

“NGN further apologises to the Duke for the impact on him of the extensive coverage and serious intrusion into his private life as well as the private life of Diana, Princess of Wales, his late mother, in particular during his younger years.

“We acknowledge and apologise for the distress caused to the Duke, and the damage inflicted on relationships, friendships and family, and have agreed to pay him substantial damages.”

In a recent development, actor Hugh Grant has come out in support of Prince Harry’s call for a fresh police investigation into media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s empire. Grant, who has been a vocal critic of tabloid journalism and phone hacking, has long been a prominent figure in the fight against media intrusion.

Prince Harry recently spoke out against the “ruthless” tactics of certain media outlets and called for a renewed investigation into phone hacking and other illegal practices within Murdoch’s media empire. Grant has expressed his solidarity with the prince’s stance and believes that it is essential for justice to be served and for the truth to come out.

The actor has been a strong advocate for press freedom and ethical journalism, and has called out media outlets for their unethical practices in the past. Grant’s support for Prince Harry’s call for a fresh police investigation into Murdoch’s media empire highlights the importance of holding media organizations accountable for their actions.

As the conversation around media ethics and accountability continues to grow, it is crucial for individuals like Grant and Prince Harry to speak out against injustice and demand transparency from media outlets. Only by working together to expose wrongdoing and hold powerful figures accountable can we hope to create a more ethical and responsible media landscape.

Hugh Jackman is brutally mocked by Ricky Gervais after sharing shirtless pool selfie

Hugh Jackman has found himself on the receiving end of some sledging from comedian Ricky Gervais.

The Australian actor, 56, who is currently Down Under for the Christmas holidays, took to social media this week to share a selfie of himself enjoying a dip in the pool.

In the photograph, Hugh flashed a huge grin as he propped himself up on the surface of the water and showed off his muscular, shirtless frame.

Though many adoring fans gushed over the smiling selfie, comedian Ricky, 63, took the opportunity to mock the Hollywood star.

Ricky, who frequently goes viral online for his comedic shirtless bath selfies, took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to hilariously recreate Hugh’s own photograph.

He shared one of his iconic selfies showing himself half-submerged in the bath and pulling a comedic expression as he poked fun at Hugh’s own offering.

Captioning the image, Ricky suggested it may be a separated-at-birth situation, writing: ‘Twinsies,’ in an amusing one-word sledge.

Ricky’s cheeky reply was met with a flurry of comments from fans, with one follower hilariously suggesting that the tongue-in-cheek posts could become a movie script.

‘Hugh plays a fictionalized version of himself and you play his jealous brother who is also an actor,’ the follower began.

‘You refuse to work with him your entire career but then you get cast in a career defining play and the star backs out late in the production and the producer gets Hugh to fill in.

Wackiness ensues as you’re forced to work together. It all culminates with an impromptu real scene of you and Hugh arguing on stage in character but really talking about your strained relationship and saying things you’ve both kept inside for decades. This is a winner.’

Another was equally excited about the prospect of the pairing, commenting: ‘Two legends, one pool. ls this the start of a new superhero duo, Ricky?’

Another summed up the sentiment of many by writing: ‘Buahahaha my stomach hurts from laughing. This was too good! Thank you!’

Hugh is currently in Sydney with his children, Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, for Christmas and has been catching up with several Aussie friends during his trip.

He has been spotted out-and-about spending time with his close friends including his personal trainer Michael Ryan, who he has known for 30 years, and Gina Chick.

Hugh’s rumoured Broadway star girlfriend Sutton Foster has remained in the United States for Christmas.

She was spotted attending a Pilates class in Los Angeles while Hugh catches up with his friends and family back in Australia.

It is not known whether Deb is joining Hugh and her family Down Under for the Christmas holidays, or if she is remaining in the United States.

Hugh was reportedly planning to introduce his rumoured new partner Sutton to his and Deborra-Lee Furness’s children Oscar and Ava over the festive period.

However, Deb was allegedly ‘not keen on the idea’ with a source claiming that she did not want a ‘blended’ family Christmas.

‘It’s a delicate balancing act and he feels like if anyone is going to spend less time with the kids this year, it’s him,’ they added.

In September 2023, Hugh shocked fans when he filed for divorce from Deb after almost three decades of marriage.

Hugh was reportedly planning to introduce his rumoured partner Sutton to his and Deborra-Lee Furness's children Oscar and Ava over Christmas, but his ex wasn't 'keen' on the idea

Hugh was reportedly planning to introduce his rumoured partner Sutton to his and Deborra-Lee Furness’s children Oscar and Ava over Christmas, but his ex wasn’t ‘keen’ on the idea

‘We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,’ the couple said in a joint statement at the time.

‘Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.’

Months later, rumours began to swirl that Hugh and Broadway star Sutton, 49, had grown close, with insiders telling PageSix that they are now ‘in love’.

‘They are 100 percent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,’ an insider told the publication.

‘They are still together. They go out of their way to hide it, but it’s common knowledge.’

Another insider claimed Hugh and Sutton are determined to make their relationship work and are keeping things low-key at the moment.

Hugh and Sutton took on the roles of Harold Hill and Marian Paroo in The Music Man, which ran from February 2022 to January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theatre in Manhattan.

Hugh Jackman was left feeling red-faced and humiliated after comedian Ricky Gervais brutally mocked him on social media for sharing a shirtless pool selfie.

The Australian actor, known for his impressive physique, decided to show off his toned abs and ripped muscles while enjoying a relaxing day by the pool. However, his confidence was quickly shattered when Gervais, notorious for his sharp wit and cutting humor, wasted no time in poking fun at him.

In a scathing tweet, Gervais wrote, “Just saw Hugh Jackman’s latest selfie. I didn’t know they allowed manatees in the pool. #ShirtlessFail.”

The tweet quickly went viral, with fans and followers chiming in with their own humorous comments and memes at Jackman’s expense. Despite the embarrassment, Jackman took the joke in stride and even replied to Gervais with a witty comeback of his own.

While the exchange may have been all in good fun, it serves as a reminder that even Hollywood A-listers are not immune to a little friendly teasing from time to time. And with friends like Ricky Gervais, Hugh Jackman better watch out next time he decides to share a shirtless selfie!

  • ‘Most handsome man in the world’: Hugh Jackman posts thirst trap after latest Sutton Foster romance rumours

‘Most handsome man in the world’: Hugh Jackman posts thirst trap after latest Sutton Foster romance rumours

Aussie movie star Hugh Jackman has made waves on social media after sharing a candid new selfie while taking a dip in the pool.

The Wolverine star posted the bare-chested new snap to his 34.5 million followers via Instagram on Monday, which promptly became one of his most liked photos of the year.

“Gotta love December in Oz,” Jackman wrote in the caption.

Fans were quick to praise the 56-year-old movie star and former People magazine Sexiest Man Alive winner on his impressive physique.

“Most handsome man in the world,” one fan wrote.

“Merry Christmas Hugh, I’m sure carving up the turkey was easy,” another said.

Jackman is understood to have spent the holidays back in Australia alongside his son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 19, who he shares with his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

The Sydney native owns an impressive $12 million penthouse in North Bondi but primarily lives in New York City.

Hugh’s pool selfie comes after he reportedly reconsidered plans for a blended Christmas with his rumoured new girlfriend and Music Man co-star Sutton Foster.

According to a source close to the showbiz family who spoke to Woman’s Day last week, both Oscar and Ava feel torn between their parents amid Jackman’s relationship with Foster.

“It’s been hard for the kids, having to welcome Sutton into their father’s world with their own mixed feelings about it, while at the same time feeling guilty if they get too close,” the source said.

“It’s all getting a bit messy but Hugh’s hoping time heals all wounds so if they can get through this holiday season without any big blow-ups, they’ll be in smoother waters coming into the new year.”

Jackman and Furness, 68, announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the couple said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

Jackman and Furness wed in 1996 after meeting on the set of the miniseries Correlli.

Although the Furness-Jackman split appeared amicable, unconfirmed rumours have subsequently emerged about Jackman’s relationship with Foster while the stars were appearing in the Broadway revival of Music Man in 2021.

Speculation surrounding the 49-year-old actress and Jackman intensified in October when Foster filed for “uncontested divorce” from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, in New York County Supreme Court.

According to a family friend who spoke to Radar Online earlier this month, Furness is “seething” over the relationship with Foster.

“It’s a delicate balancing act and (Hugh) feels like if anyone is going to spend less time with the kids this year, it’s him,” they said.

Hugh Jackman has once again proven why he is considered one of the most handsome men in the world. The actor and singer, known for his roles in X-Men and The Greatest Showman, recently posted a steamy thirst trap on social media, causing fans to swoon over his rugged good looks.

This comes after rumors surfaced of a romance between Jackman and his former Broadway co-star Sutton Foster. The two have been spotted together multiple times, sparking speculation of a budding relationship.

Regardless of his romantic status, one thing is for sure – Hugh Jackman is a true heartthrob. With his chiseled jawline, piercing eyes, and charming smile, it’s no wonder he has captured the hearts of fans around the globe.

So, whether you’re a longtime Hugh Jackman enthusiast or a newcomer to his fan club, there’s no denying that he is truly the most handsome man in the world. And with each new post and appearance, he continues to prove why he holds that title.

In this post, we will be discussing the concept of formation control of multiple autonomous vehicle systems as presented by Hugh H. T. Liu in his research work.

Formation control refers to the coordination and movement of multiple autonomous vehicles in a desired formation. This can be achieved through the use of communication and control algorithms that enable the vehicles to maintain a specific geometric arrangement while navigating through their environment.

Hugh H. T. Liu, a renowned expert in the field of robotics and control systems, has extensively studied the application of formation control in various scenarios, including multi-robot systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and autonomous ground vehicles. His research has demonstrated the potential benefits of using formation control in terms of improved efficiency, flexibility, and robustness of autonomous vehicle systems.

One of the key advantages of formation control is the ability to achieve complex tasks that would be difficult or impossible for a single vehicle to accomplish alone. By working together in a coordinated manner, multiple vehicles can perform tasks such as surveillance, reconnaissance, search and rescue, and environmental monitoring more effectively and efficiently.

Overall, Hugh H. T. Liu’s work on formation control of multiple autonomous vehicle systems highlights the importance of coordination and collaboration in the field of robotics and autonomous systems. By leveraging the power of teamwork and intelligent algorithms, autonomous vehicles can work together seamlessly to achieve common goals and overcome challenges in a wide range of applications.

  • Hugh Grant’s First Reaction To Love Actually Was Anything But Festive

Hugh Grant’s First Reaction To Love Actually Was Anything But Festive

Two decades years after Love Actually first graced our screens and became one of the most beloved – and successful – Christmas films of all time, some of its stars have been doing a bit of reminiscing.

In a 20th anniversary special released in 2022, cast members including Bill Nighy, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant came together to take a trip down memory lane.

Thankfully, most of them have long memories – including Emma, who recalls the first time that she and Hugh watched the finished version of the festive film.

Although Hugh’s response, according to Emma, wasn’t exactly warm and fuzzy.

“Hugh came up behind me as we were walking out and said, ‘Is that the most psychotic thing we’ve ever been in?’” Emma recalled in the special.

Hugh then responded sheepishly: “Did I say that?”

Love Actually may be ingrained in the public consciousness, but a year earlier Hugh admitted he is a little less familiar with the details of the 2003 film – revealing he can’t actually remember what happened to his character.

Asked about the possibility of a Love Actually sequel in an interview with Digital Spy in 2021, Hugh replied: “I don’t know. I’ve never thought about that… I can’t even remember what happens in the film.”

He explained with a laugh: “It’s so long since I’ve seen it. You’d have to remind me. How do I end up?”

The Bafta wi played the UK prime minister, David, who falls for Downing Street staff member Natalie, played by former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon.

In one of the film’s most memorable scenes, Hugh, as the PM, can be seen prancing about No.10 to the Pointer Sisters’ Jump (For My Love), which the actor later described as “absolute hell”.

He said: “There was this dance written and I thought, ‘That’s going to be excruciating’ and it has the power to be the most excruciating scene ever committed to celluloid.

“I certainly dreaded filming it and Richard (Curtis) kept saying, ‘Don’t you think we’d better rehearse the dancing scene’ and I’d say, ‘Uh yes I’ve just gotta learn some lines…my ankle hurts today’. So it was never rehearsed.”

“It was absolute hell,” he added.

Hugh Grant’s First Reaction To Love Actually Was Anything But Festive

In a recent interview, actor Hugh Grant revealed that his initial reaction to the hit holiday film Love Actually was far from festive. Grant, who played the role of the lovable Prime Minister in the beloved romantic comedy, admitted that he was skeptical about the script when he first read it.

“I remember thinking, ‘This is going to be a disaster,’” Grant said. “I couldn’t see how all of these different storylines were going to come together in a cohesive way.”

However, Grant’s doubts were quickly dispelled once filming began. As he worked with the talented cast and crew, he realized that Love Actually had the potential to be something truly special.

“I was blown away by how well everything came together,” Grant said. “The chemistry between the characters, the humor, the heart – it all just clicked.”

Love Actually went on to become a holiday classic, beloved by audiences around the world. And while Grant may have had his reservations at first, he now looks back on the film with fondness and gratitude.

“I’m so grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful movie,” Grant said. “It’s a reminder that sometimes, things turn out better than you could have ever imagined.”

It’s one of the most popular Christmas films of all time, but Love Actually didn’t exactly warm Hugh Grant’s heart when he saw it for the first time.

The British actor famously starred as UK prime minister “David” in Richard Curtis’s festive 2003 rom-com, alongside Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightly, Martine McCutcheon, Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman and Billy Nighy.

The film follows 10 different stories that depict love in a variety of ways, with many of the characters interlinked as the plot develops in the weeks ahead of Christmas.

In a 20th anniversary special that aired in 2002, Thompson, who had worked with Grant on a number of occasions, revealed how he reacted after the cast watched the finished version.

“Hugh came up behind me as we were walking out and said, ‘Is that the most psychotic thing we’ve ever been in?’” she recalled.

A sheepish-looking Grant then asked: “Did I say that?”

He ended up repeating his initial verdict during the interview, calling Love Actually “a bit psychotic” and “Richard [Curtis] on steroids”.

“But the thing is with him, what you have to remember is when he writes about love, he means it,” Grant added. “And that is quite rare.”

In the movie, Grant’s character David falls for Downing Street staff member Natalie, played by former EastEnders star McCutcheon.

The Paddington 2 actor described shooting one notorious scene, in which David dances around No 10 to The Pointer Sisters’ hit “Jump (For My Love)” as “absolute hell”.

“There was this dance written and I thought, ‘That’s going to be excruciating and it has the power to be the most excruciating scene ever committed to celluloid,’” he recalled.

“I certainly dreaded filming it and Richard [Curtis] kept saying, ‘Don’t you think we’d better rehearse the dancing scene’ and I’d say, ‘Uh yes I’ve just got to learn some lines… my ankle hurts today.’ So it was never rehearsed.”

He continued: “Imagine you’re a grumpy 40-year-old Englishman, it’s seven in the morning, you’re stone-cold sober and it’s like, “OK Hugh, if you’d just like to freak out now. It was absolute hell.”

Meanwhile, his co-star Firth remembered him making “a terrible fuss” about doing the scene but confirmed: “It did delight everybody and I think it’s the highlight of the film for a lot of people.”

In the same 20th anniversary special, asked if there were any parts of the film that made him “wince”, Curtis replied: “There are things that you would change, but thank God society is changing.

“My film is bound in some moments to feel out of date. The lack of diversity makes me feel uncomfortable and a bit stupid.”

He added that the love he sees people share in real life makes him “wish my film was better”.

“It makes me wish I’d made a documentary just to kind of observe it,” he said.

Curtis recently released a new festive film, That Christmas, an animated feature starring the voices of Nighy, Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Guz Khan and Jodie Whittaker.

Hugh Grant, the charming British actor known for his roles in romantic comedies, recently had a strong reaction to seeing Love Actually for the first time. The 2003 holiday classic has become a beloved film for many, but Grant had never actually watched it until now.

In an interview, Grant shared his thoughts on the film, saying that he was surprised at how emotional he felt while watching it. He admitted that he was moved to tears by some of the heartfelt moments in the movie and was impressed by the performances of his fellow cast members.

Grant also revealed that he was proud to have been a part of such a beloved film and was grateful for the opportunity to work with director Richard Curtis. He expressed his appreciation for the enduring popularity of Love Actually and the impact it has had on audiences around the world.

Overall, it seems that Hugh Grant’s first viewing of Love Actually was a powerful and emotional experience for him. It’s heartwarming to see the actor reflect on the film’s significance and the joy it continues to bring to viewers, even years after its release.
