They thrive while keeping the pressure on opposing teams, regardless of who’s on the floor.
The opening tip between UConn and Butler is Sunday at one o’clock at the XL Center.

What to Know
We’ve got another exciting Big Ten matchup on schedule as the Washington Huskies and the Minnesota Golden Gophers are set to tip at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Williams Arena. The Huskies are no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Washington couldn’t handle UCLA and fell 65-60.
Washington’s loss came about despite a quality game from Great Osobor, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.
Washington struggled to work together and finished the game with only eight assists. That’s the fewest assists they’ve posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Minnesota’s good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell victim to a painful 73-51 defeat at the hands of Michigan State. The Golden Gophers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.
The losing side was boosted by Dawson Garcia, who went 9 for 16 en route to 21 points plus five rebounds. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 22.4 points.
Washington’s loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Minnesota, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Washington is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they’re headed for a loss. This contest will be their eighth straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 3-3-1 against the spread).
Washington couldn’t quite finish off Minnesota in their previous matchup back in November of 2018 and fell 68-66. Can Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.

Washington Huskies vs. UCLA Bruins: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NCAA Basketball start time
Who’s Playing
UCLA Bruins @ Washington Huskies
Current Records: UCLA 13-6, Washington 10-9
How To Watch
What to Know
UCLA is 9-1 against Washington since January of 2021, and they’ll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Both will face off in a Big Ten battle at 11:00 p.m. ET at Alaska Airlines Arena. Despite being away, the Bruins are looking at a 5.5-point advantage in the spread.
UCLA will head into Tuesday’s contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 24) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Wisconsin 85-83. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
UCLA can attribute much of their success to Aday Mara, who made all 7 shots he took racking up 22 points plus five rebounds and two blocks. Mara had some trouble finding his footing against Rutgers last Monday, so this was a step in the right direction. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Mack, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Washington’s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took an 82-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oregon. That’s two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly 11 points.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Zoom Diallo, who went 7 for 9 en route to 18 points. His performance made up for a slower game against Purdue last Wednesday. The team also got some help courtesy of Great Osobor, who had 20 points plus eight rebounds.
Washington struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That’s the fewest offensive rebounds they’ve managed all season.
UCLA’s victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
UCLA beat Washington 69-58 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for UCLA since the squad won’t have the home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
Odds
UCLA is a solid 5.5-point favorite against Washington, according to the latest college basketball odds.
The oddsmakers had a good feel for the line for this one, as the game opened with the Bruins as a 4.5-point favorite.
The over/under is 138 points.

Halftime Report
Only one more half stands between UConn and the win they were favored to collect coming into this evening. They have jumped out to a quick 39-31 lead against Butler.
If UConn keeps playing like this, they’ll bump their record up to 14-5 in no time. On the other hand, Butler will have to make due with an 8-11 record unless they turn things around (and fast).

What to Know
Butler is 0-9 against UConn since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. Both will face off in a Big East battle at 7:00 p.m. ET at XL Center. The Bulldogs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they’ve increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Butler finally turned things around against Seton Hall on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 82-77.
Among those leading the charge was Pierre Brooks II, who went 6 for 11 en route to 19 points. What’s more, he also racked up four assists, the most he’s had since back in November of 2024. Andre Screen was another key player, going 6 for 8 en route to 16 points plus five rebounds.
Butler was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seton Hall only posted nine.
Meanwhile, UConn entered their contest against Creighton on Saturday without any home losses, but there’s a first time for everything. UConn took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Creighton. The matchup marked the Huskies’ lowest-scoring match so far this season.
UConn’s loss came about despite a quality game from Hassan Diarra, who went 7 for 13 en route to 15 points plus seven assists and six rebounds. Diarra’s performance made up for a slower game against Georgetown last Saturday. Another player making a difference was Solo Ball, who went 6 for 11 en route to 15 points.
Butler’s victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for UConn, their defeat ended a 24-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5.
Tuesday’s contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Butler has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 36.9% of their threes per game. However, it’s not like UConn struggles in that department as they’ve drained 36.9% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it’ll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Butler is hoping to beat the odds on Tuesday, as the experts think they’re headed for a loss. This contest might not be the best time to bet them against the spread since they’ve let bettors down the last three times they’ve played.
Odds
UConn is a big 13-point favorite against Butler, according to the latest college basketball odds.
The oddsmakers had a good feel for the line for this one, as the game opened with the Huskies as a 12.5-point favorite.
The over/under is 143.5 points.
