Born in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Paul Edward Ike Jr. and the late Diane M. (Cox) Ike Barnes.
He worked for many years at Harkers Hollow Golf Course in Harmony, NJ as a greens-keeper until retiring due to illness. Prior he worked in farming for many years. Phil, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and golfing and belonged to a golf league for a few years, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his kids and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Sheri, he is survived by his son, Philip J. Ike Jr. (Amy Ivins); daughters, Jade L. Ike; Samantha M. Ike; brothers, Paul E. Ike III, Stanley E. Ike; sister, Nikki Timmons; grandchildren, Rosebud Ike, Bryndle Ike, Maxwell Ike, Marlee Ivins and Philip J. Ike III.
Services: At Philip’s request there will be no formal services, however his family are planning a celebration of his life at a later date.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Ike, beloved husband, father, and friend. Philip passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Bethlehem, PA at the age of 58.
Philip was born on June 15, 1967, in Bethlehem, PA to parents William and Mary Ike. He grew up in the city and attended Bethlehem High School, where he excelled in academics and sports. After graduating, Philip went on to earn a degree in business from Lehigh University.
Philip had a successful career in finance, working for several prestigious firms throughout his life. He was known for his intelligence, work ethic, and kindness towards others. Philip was a devoted husband to his wife Sarah and a loving father to his two children, Emily and Michael.
In his free time, Philip enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
Philip is survived by his wife, children, parents, siblings, and many other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Philip Ike on September 15, 2025, at St. Mary’s Church in Bethlehem, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Philip’s name.
Rest in peace, Philip. You will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts.
