What to Know
The Timberwolves will be playing the full four quarters on Saturday, but they’re expected to have things wrapped up well before that. They will host the Washington Wizards at 8:00 p.m. ET at Target Center. The Wizards are crawling into this contest hobbled by 16 consecutive losses, while the Timberwolves will bounce in with five consecutive wins.
The Timberwolves are headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 138-113 margin over the Jazz on Thursday. Minnesota pushed the score to 101-75 by the end of the third, a deficit Utah cut but never quite recovered from.
Anthony Edwards was a one-man wrecking crew for the Timberwolves as he shot 6-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double on 36 points and 11 assists. That’s the most assists Edwards has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rudy Gobert, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
The Timberwolves were working as a unit and finished the game with 38 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as the Jazz only posted 21.
Meanwhile, it’s never fun to lose, and it’s even less fun to lose 134-96, which was the final score in the Wizards’ tilt against the Lakers on Thursday. Washington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 78-45.
Minnesota is on a roll lately: they’ve won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-21 record this season. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-40.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday’s matchup: The Timberwolves have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 38.7% of their threes per game. It’s a different story for the Wizards, though, as they’ve only made 32.7% of their threes this season. Given the Timberwolves’ sizable advantage in that area, the Wizards will need to find a way to close that gap.
The Timberwolves strolled past the Wizards in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 120-106. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Wizards have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
Odds
Minnesota is a big 16.5-point favorite against Washington, according to the latest NBA odds.
The oddsmakers had a good feel for the line for this one, as the game opened with the Timberwolves as a 17-point favorite.
The over/under is 222.5 points.

What to Know
Houston is on a 28-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Texas Tech is on a six-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Both will face off in a Big 12 battle at 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Fertitta Center. The Cougars are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they’ve averaged 76 points per game this season.
Houston is headed into this one after the oddsmakers set last week’s over/under low at 124.5, but even that wound up being too high. They came out on top against West Virginia by a score of 63-49 on Wednesday.
Houston’s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from L.J. Cryer, who earned 17 points. Cryer had some trouble finding his footing against Kansas on Saturday, so this was a step in the right direction.
Meanwhile, Texas Tech earned a 71-57 win over TCU on Wednesday.
Texas Tech can attribute much of their success to JT Toppin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Toppin a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Chance McMillian, who had 16 points.
Houston is on a roll lately: they’ve won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Texas Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Houston hasn’t had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 76 points per game. However, it’s not like Texas Tech struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 81.4. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
As for their next game, Houston is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 10.5 points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 11-7 against the spread when expected to win.
Odds
Houston is a big 10.5-point favorite against Texas Tech, according to the latest college basketball odds.
The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as a 10.5-point spread, and stayed right there.
The over/under is 128.5 points.

What to Know
We’ve got another exciting Southland matchup on schedule as the SF Austin Lumberjacks and the Lamar Cardinals are set to tip at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at William R. Johnson Coliseum. The game is expected to be a close one, with the Lumberjacks going off as just a 1.5-point favorite.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, SF Austin finally turned things around against East Texas A&M on Monday. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 79-72.
SF Austin was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That’s the most assists they’ve posted since back in March of 2024.

SF Austin’s victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12. As for Lamar, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: SF Austin has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 38.3 rebounds per game. However, it’s not like Lamar struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 38.7. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we’ll see if one team can grab an edge.

Who’s Playing
East Carolina Pirates @ Temple Owls
Current Records: East Carolina 12-9, Temple 13-8
How To Watch
What to Know
We’ve got another exciting American Athletic matchup on schedule as the East Carolina Pirates and the Temple Owls are set to tip at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Liacouras Center. The Pirates are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they’ve averaged 75.4 points per game this season.
Temple is hoping to do what South Florida couldn’t on Saturday: put an end to East Carolina’s winning streak, which now stands at three games. East Carolina came out on top against South Florida by a score of 64-55. That’s two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly nine points.
East Carolina’s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevion LaBeaux led the charge by posting eight points along with eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave LaBeaux a new career-high in offensive rebounds (five). Another player making a difference was Jordan Riley, who went 5 for 8 en route to 12 points plus six rebounds and two steals.
East Carolina smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. The team’s really been improving in that area: they’ve now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Temple ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted by Charlotte 90-89 thanks to a clutch free throw from Jamal Mashburn Jr. with but a second left in the fourth quarter. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mashburn Jr. was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 34 points in addition to six rebounds. Steve Settle III was another key player, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
East Carolina’s victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Temple, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: East Carolina has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 39 rebounds per game. However, it’s not like Temple struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 37.7. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we’ll see if one team can grab an edge.
East Carolina barely slipped by Temple in their previous meeting back in January, winning 80-79. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Carolina since the team won’t have the home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
Odds
Temple is a slight 2.5-point favorite against East Carolina, according to the latest college basketball odds.
The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as a 2.5-point spread, and stayed right there.
The over/under is 145.5 points.

The No. 20 Missouri Tigers look to pick up an important ranked road victory against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Tigers are in the middle of an impressive and to some, surprising season. Head coach Dennis Gates has his squad playing great team basketball on offense and defense as they continue to rack up wins in the SEC.
Mississippi State won’t be an easy matchup, however. They have a few big wins to its name, including Ole Miss and Memphis and played teams like Kentucky and Tennessee very close. Gates will have his hands full with the Bulldogs, especially on the road.
“Chris Jans does an amazing job and he has been his entire career. Mississippi State is a tremendous team, well-balanced. Defensively, we know what they bring to the table,” Gates said. “Their grit, their toughness, that’s something that is an identity of their program, always has and always will be.”
The Bulldogs are led by flamethrower guard Josh Hubbard. He’s averaging 17.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and three assists per game this season. Behind him is junior forward KeShawn Murphy, posting a career-best 10.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
Missouri has now passed the eye test and it seems as if people across the country have an idea of what they can do. Now, capturing a coveted conference road win is next on the agenda.

Round 4 of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season features the first Triple Crown format of the year, which changes the dynamics considerably. Three 12-minute motos for the 450 division and ten for the 250s means there is not much time to overcome a bad start in each feature. But, and this is a big difference from the standard format, one mediocre performance can be countered by two strong runs.
The most recent Triple Crown format featured Eli Tomac as the overall winner. As a point of fact, he was the only winner at The Dome at America’s Center last year in St. Louis, Missouri, las year.
Jett Lawrence finished second in Moto 1 but a crash in the third race relegated him to eighth overall. Hunter Lawrence was second in Moto 2 with a worst finish of eighth in Moto 1 that landed him third on the chart. Cooper Webb finished fifth, sixth, and second in the three motos.
In the 250 division, Levi Kitchen swept the motos to win over Jo Shimoda, who finished second, third, and third. Jordon Smith was second in Moto 2 while RJ Hampshire was second in Moto 3 to also show Triple Crown strength.

What to Know
We’ve got another exciting Big East matchup on schedule as the St. John’s Red Storm and the Providence Friars are set to tip at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Madison Square Garden. The Red Storm will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
St. John’s is headed into this one after the oddsmakers set last week’s over/under low at 139.5, but even that wound up being too high. Everything went their way against Georgetown on Tuesday as St. John’s made off with a 66-41 win. The Red Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John’s to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zuby Ejiofor, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. What’s more, Ejiofor also posted a 83.3% field goal percentage, which is the highest he’s posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kadary Richmond, who went 6 for 7 en route to 13 points plus six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Providence had just enough and edged Seton Hall out 69-67 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Friars.
Providence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Corey Floyd Jr. out in front who earned 11 points plus seven rebounds and five assists. Bensley Joseph was another key player, posting 12 points in addition to seven rebounds.
St. John’s has been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Providence, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: St. John’s has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 41.6 rebounds per game. However, it’s not like Providence struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 38.5. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we’ll see if one team can grab an edge.
Looking forward, St. John’s is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 13.5 points. This contest will be their eighth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 5-2 against the spread).
Odds
St. John’s is a big 13.5-point favorite against Providence, according to the latest college basketball odds.
The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as a 13.5-point spread, and stayed right there.
The over/under is 143.5 points.

What to Know
Pittsburgh and Wake Forest are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. Both will face off in an ACC battle at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at LJVM Coliseum. The Panthers are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they’ve averaged 79.8 points per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Pittsburgh was able to grind out a solid victory over N. Carolina, taking the game 73-65. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Pittsburgh got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zack Austin out in front who went 5 for 7 en route to 15 points plus five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaland Lowe, who posted 18 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.
Wake Forest has been a dominant force so far, but they’re in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 72-59 to Louisville on Tuesday.
Despite their defeat, Wake Forest saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Efton Reid III, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Wake Forest is 14-4 when Reid III posts ten or more rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise. Tre’Von Spillers was another key player, posting eight points in addition to eight rebounds and two blocks.
Pittsburgh’s victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Wake Forest, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday’s game: Pittsburgh has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.6 threes per game. It’s a different story for Wake Forest, though, as they’ve been averaging only 6. Given Pittsburgh’s sizable advantage in that area, Wake Forest will need to find a way to close that gap.
Pittsburgh is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they’re headed for a loss. Bettors picking them against the spread have some confidence (to put it mildly), as the team is sitting on a five-game streak of failing to cover when playing on the road.
Odds
Wake Forest is a slight 2.5-point favorite against Pittsburgh, according to the latest college basketball odds.
The oddsmakers had a good feel for the line for this one, as the game opened with the Demon Deacons as a 1.5-point favorite.
The over/under is 138.5 points.
