  • Jazz vs Clippers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

With the Los Angeles Clippers defense not looking stellar as of late, the Utah Jazz hope to muster up some energy in a back-to-back through the life of standout rookie Isaiah Collier to get back on track after a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns.

The Utah Jazz lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, and now this shorthanded team will have to turn around and face the Los Angeles Clippers just 24 hours later.

While they may come into this one with tired legs, I’ll explain in my Jazz vs. Clippers predictions why the Jazz are to be believed on the offensive end and should maintain a high level against a slumping Los Angeles defense.

Let’s dig into some NBA player props and hand out some NBA picks on Saturday, February 8.

    Jazz vs Clippers prediction

    My best bet
    Jazz +16.5 (-110 at bet365)

    My analysis
Utah Jazz’s defense continues to look suspect, but their offense has turned into a fine-tuned machine with rookie Isaiah Collier beginning to blossom in a larger role. He’s now scored 15 or more in back-to-back games, adding 10 assists in each of his last three, as the team deals with injuries to both Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton in the backcourt.

We’re not yet sure if we’ll see Clarkson in this one, but as Sexton continues to sit Collier’s impact should remain sizable. His ability to get the ball in low has worked wonders for a team which has ranked inside the top 11 in scoring at the rim and the short mid-range over the last two weeks, and as the Los Angeles Clippers counter with the sixth-worst rim defense over that span there’s a fair chance this team continues to score the ball even on no rest.

On the flip side, Utah’s weak interior defense shouldn’t be a massive liability here against a Clippers team which is just 15th in shooting accuracy at the rim and 23rd in the short mid-range in the last two weeks. Its top-10 3-point defense over that same span should remain strong with Clarkson – a defensive liability – sitting this one out, and the Clippers’ middling performance outside should only help matters.

Los Angeles does like to shoot inside, but it has struggled to get much done as of late, and with Walker Kessler now playing more minutes at center in wake of injuries to the frontcourt and the trade of Drew Eubanks, there’s a reasonable expectation that this defense can hold firm enough to allow this offense to continue cooking.

    Jazz vs Clippers same-game parlay

    Jazz +16.5

Isaiah Collier Over 18.5 points and assists

    Norman Powell Over 22.5 points

We’ll kick things off with Isaiah Collier, who has seen a huge bump in Usage Rate lately and should devastate both as a scorer and distributor. Los Angeles has been weak defensively at the rim, and Collier has ranked right around the top 20% of all guards in shooting frequency in close. As he looks to feed this long frontcourt, too, he should once again flirt with a double-double against a Clippers team ranked just outside the top 10 in assists allowed per 100 possessions in the last two weeks.

Speaking of which, Norman Powell has been a machine over that span. He’s averaged 25.3 points in six games, and most notably has taken a whopping 17 shots per contest. The veteran is sitting pretty here as a guard who has taken – and made – a good deal of shots at the rim and in the short-mid range, going up against a frontcourt defense which has been brutal of late by the numbers and is still very thin without several players.

The highly anticipated matchup between the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers is set to take place tonight, and fans are eager to see which team will come out on top. Both teams have been performing well this season, making this game a must-watch for basketball fans.

The Jazz currently sit at the top of the Western Conference with an impressive record of 38-11. They have been on a hot streak lately, winning 9 of their last 10 games. Led by stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, the Jazz have one of the most potent offenses in the league and are known for their three-point shooting.

On the other hand, the Clippers are not far behind, sitting in the third spot in the Western Conference with a record of 34-18. Led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers have been playing solid basketball and are coming off a big win against the Philadelphia 76ers.

In terms of odds, the Jazz are currently favored to win this game, with odds of -150. The Clippers, on the other hand, have odds of +130. Both teams are evenly matched, so this game could go either way.

In terms of predictions, it’s tough to say who will come out on top in this game. The Jazz have been playing exceptionally well, but the Clippers are a formidable opponent. Ultimately, I believe the Jazz will come out victorious in a close game, with a final score of 115-110.

  • Luka Dončić likely to make Lakers debut on Monday vs. Jazz

TNT’s Jared Greenberg reports live on Inside the NBA that Luka Dončić is tracking toward a Monday debut in Los Angeles.

    • Get NBA League Pass TODAY >
    • 2024-25 Trade Tracker: Every official deal

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Luka Dončić is now expected to make his debut with the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night against the Utah Jazz (10:30 ET, NBA League Pass), coach JJ Redick says.

Dončić hasn’t played since Christmas due to a strained left calf. Redick initially suggested Dončić could play for the Lakers on Saturday against Indiana, but revised his forecast Thursday night before the Lakers hosted the Golden State Warriors.

“Probably more likely Monday,” Redick said. “No commitment made on anything, but probably trending more toward Monday.”

The Lakers acquired the Slovenian superstar last weekend, giving up Anthony Davis in a blockbuster trade with Dallas. Dončić participated in a 5-on-5 “stay-ready” game with teammates and the Lakers’ coaching staff Wednesday, and Redick said Doncic has experienced no setbacks in his recovery from the calf injury.

“All is well. All is positive,” Redick said. “Hopefully we get the word at some point in the next few days that he is going to play. We all want to see him in a Laker uniform.”

Four days after acquiring Dončić, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris from the Mavericks, the Lakers continued their roster overhaul Wednesday night by acquiring 7-foot-2 center Mark Williams from Charlotte in a trade for rookie Dalton Knecht and Cam Reddick.

The league still hadn’t formally approved the trade Thursday night, which meant Redick couldn’t talk about the potential impact of Williams on Los Angeles’ dramatically revamped roster. The Lakers are more focused on getting off to a good start with Dončić, whenever that may happen.

“We want him to feel confident,” Redick said. “We want our medical staff to feel confident. We don’t want to rush anything here. I think we’re all anticipating that. I know the fans are anticipating that, and certainly our players and our coaching staff are anticipating that. I think the one thing we all have in the back of our mind as we’ve shifted and had to recalibrate here in the last week — we’re not going to be able to just snap our fingers and it’s all going to work right away. There’s work to be done once he’s healthy and back in the lineup, and that’s going to be fun.”

After missing the past seven games due to an ankle injury, Luka Dončić is expected to make his highly anticipated debut for the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night against the Utah Jazz. The talented point guard has been rehabbing diligently and is finally ready to take the court with his new team.

Dončić’s addition to the Lakers lineup is sure to provide a much-needed boost, as the team has struggled in his absence. His playmaking abilities, scoring prowess, and basketball IQ will undoubtedly make a significant impact on both ends of the floor.

Fans and analysts alike are eager to see how Dončić will gel with his new teammates and how he will fare in the Lakers’ system. With his versatility and skill set, Dončić has the potential to be a game-changer for the Lakers as they push for a playoff spot.

Be sure to tune in on Monday night to witness Luka Dončić’s Lakers debut and see how he performs against the Jazz. It’s sure to be an exciting game filled with highlight-reel plays and electrifying moments. Let’s go Lakers! #LukaDoncic #LakersDebut #NBA

  • Lakers predicted to part with Dalton Knecht via trade to Jazz

The Los Angeles Lakers are unlikely to make another move before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

However, the organization could surprise the NBA by sending a highly skilled rookie to the Utah Jazz.

“If Rob Pelinka doesn’t continue to be exceedingly stingy at putting winning players around this duo (LeBron James and Anthony Davis), they could make a massive mid-season trade,” Fadeaway World’s Ishaan Bhattacharya wrote Tuesday.

“The Utah Jazz are known to be in the market looking for deals to offload high-quality players, but only if they get a high-quality return.”

“The Lakers don’t want to match the price the Jazz are setting on some of their targets, with the hope that they come off the price.”

“Instead, the Lakers should go all-in on what the Jazz want while maximizing their return, even if it means saying goodbye to Dalton Knecht.”

Bhattacharya’s trade proposal would send Knecht, Rui Hachimura, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and two future first-round picks to the Jazz for Collin Sexton and Walker Kessler.

Entering the 2024 draft, it was clear that Knecht was the most NBA-ready prospect.

The Tennessee product’s calm demeanor in isolation situations, take-over ability late in games, astounding situational awareness, and valuable experience made him a steal for the Lakers at No. 17.

While Knecht has cooled down since his stellar November showing with the Lake Show, he continues to serve as a legitimate scoring threat for JJ Redick and the Lakers off the bench.

The 6-foot-6 wing averages 9.5 points per contest on 46% field goal shooting and 35.9% three-point shooting.

However, a trade for Kessler would give the Lakers an impactful frontcourt asset to assist Anthony Davis in the paint.

Considering Davis is dealing with an abdominal strain and could miss extended time, Kessler could be a game-changing addition to a Los Angeles squad searching for low post depth.

Time will tell if the Lakers swap Knecht for Kessler this season.

More NBA: Warriors may cut ties with Jonathan Kuminga in favor of Pacers’ $40 million star

According to recent NBA trade rumors, the Los Angeles Lakers are predicted to part ways with young forward Dalton Knecht in a trade with the Utah Jazz. Knecht, who was drafted by the Lakers in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft, has shown promise in his limited playing time but has struggled to find a consistent role on a deep Lakers roster.

The Jazz, in need of some additional frontcourt depth, are reportedly interested in acquiring Knecht to bolster their bench rotation. While Knecht has not yet had the opportunity to showcase his full potential in the NBA, the Jazz see him as a player with the potential to develop into a solid contributor in the league.

It remains to be seen what the Lakers would receive in return for Knecht in this potential trade, but it is clear that both teams see value in making a move. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing situation as the NBA trade deadline approaches.

  • Clippers Trade PJ Tucker Mo Bamba Second Round Pick To Jazz For Drew Eubanks Patty Mills

The Los Angeles Clippers are trading PJ Tucker, Mo Bamba, a second-round pick in 2030, and cash to the Utah Jazz, sources told Shams Charania and Bobby Marks of ESPN.

The Clippers will receive Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.

The Jazz previously had the option of swapping second-round picks in 2030 with the Clippers due to the Russell Westbrook trade. Now, they own both picks.

Tucker has been away from the Clippers since the start of the season by mutual consent.

The Clippers are now $4 million below the tax. They have also created a $6.5 million and $2.1 million trade exception, according to Bobby Marks.

The Los Angeles Clippers have made a big move ahead of the trade deadline, as they have traded PJ Tucker, Mo Bamba, and a second-round pick to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.

This trade is sure to shake things up for both teams, as the Clippers add some much-needed depth to their frontcourt with Eubanks, while also adding a veteran presence in Mills. On the other hand, the Jazz add some young talent in Tucker and Bamba, as well as a draft pick to help bolster their roster.

It will be interesting to see how this trade plays out for both teams in the coming weeks, as they look to improve their positions in the Western Conference standings. Stay tuned for more updates as the trade deadline approaches!

  • Clippers trade Tucker, Bamba to Jazz for Eubanks, Mills

The LA Clippers have traded forward P.J. Tucker, center Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash to the Utah Jazz for forward Drew Eubanks and guard Patty Mills, the teams announced Saturday

Tucker did not play for the Clippers this season. He stepped away from the team in October, with the two sides reportedly in agreement to find him a different situation.

The move puts the Clippers $4 million below the luxury tax threshold, giving them more flexibility ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

Tucker, 39, is in the final season of a three-year, $33 million deal he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2022 before being traded to the Clippers.

Bamba, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 draft, was averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 28 games for the Clippers this season in a reserve role behind Ivica Zubac.

Mills, 36, signed with the Jazz in the offseason and is in his 16th season in the NBA. In 17 appearances this season, the veteran guard is averaging 4.4 points per game.

Eubanks, who turns 28 Saturday, signed a two-year deal with the Jazz in the offseason and was averaging 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 37 games for Utah. The Clippers will be his fifth NBA team since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018.

Information from Field Level Media was used in this report.

The LA Clippers have made a bold move ahead of the trade deadline, sending forward PJ Tucker and center Mo Bamba to the Utah Jazz in exchange for center Drew Eubanks and guard Patty Mills.

Tucker, known for his defensive prowess and veteran leadership, will provide a boost to the Jazz’s frontcourt rotation. Bamba, a young and promising big man, adds size and shot-blocking ability to Utah’s roster.

In return, the Clippers receive Eubanks, a solid rim protector and rebounder, and Mills, a sharpshooting guard who can provide instant offense off the bench.

This trade could benefit both teams as they look to strengthen their playoff chances and make a push for a deep postseason run. Stay tuned for more updates as the trade deadline approaches.

  • 3 Trades the Utah Jazz could do at the trade deadline. nba-john-collins-collin-sexton-jordan-clarkson

The Utah Jazz are in a rebuild year. They currently have the 2nd worst record in the league and have lost 8 in a row. The Jazz’s priority has seemed to be developing the young guys and seek first round picks for the future. By trading veteran candidates, specifically John Collins, Collin Sexton, or Jordan Clarkson, Utah could obtain more coveted draft picks.

    Trade Number 1

The Jazz get more draft picks and still get veterans to help mentor the young guys. The Heat get younger, better players to help prepare their future for beyond Jimmy Butler.

    Trade Number 2

Similar to trade 1, Utah gets picks, Pistons get younger and better players to continue their ascent.

    Trade Number 3

In this 3 team trade, the Jazz absorb and likely waive the contract of P.J. Tucker, take a chance on the teenage Cam Christie, and get 4 second picks. The Clippers get a veteran marksman, who may bounce back from his rough year in a new scenery. The Hawks get the best player in the trade, Collin Sexton, who would be a great 6th man option for a team that is lacking creation beyond Trae Young.

    Trade Number 4

The Jazz bring on a bad contract in Nurkic and lose fan favorite Clarkson, but get another pick to add to their portfolio.

    Trade Number 5

In this hypothetical trade, the Jazz land a 2nd round pick and salary filler, the Bulls get effective veteran pieces and a 1st round pick. The Rockets make a move for an all-star calibur player and get a 6th man scorer player to bolster their title run chances.

    Minnesota Timberwolves v Utah Jazz

The Jazz maybe won’t trade any players this deadline, they already have the 2nd best odds to get Cooper Flagg in the summer. Trading some veteran guys now increases the chances of the Jazz tanking for Flagg and gets them even more draft capital to build for the future.

What will Utah do at the deadline, comment below!

    1. Trade for John Collins: The Utah Jazz could look to bolster their frontcourt by trading for Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins. Collins is a versatile big man who can score inside and outside, as well as provide solid rebounding and shot-blocking. The Jazz could potentially package a combination of draft picks and young players to make a deal for Collins before the trade deadline.
    2. Trade for Collin Sexton: The Jazz could also look to add some scoring punch to their backcourt by trading for Cleveland Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton. Sexton is a dynamic scorer who can create his own shot and put up big numbers on any given night. The Jazz could potentially offer up some of their bench depth, such as Jordan Clarkson, to make a deal for Sexton before the deadline.
    3. Trade Jordan Clarkson: Speaking of Jordan Clarkson, the Jazz could potentially explore trading him to acquire another piece that fits their roster better. Clarkson has been a valuable scorer off the bench for Utah, but if they can find a trade that brings in a player who better complements their starting lineup, it could be worth exploring. Clarkson’s scoring ability could be attractive to other teams looking to add some firepower to their bench unit.

  • Clippers reportedly trade P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba to Jazz for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills

The Los Angeles Clippers are making moves ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, sending P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills, per ESPN. Utah also reportedly receives a future second-round pick and cash in the trade.

Bamba, 26, and Eubanks, 28, are a more direct part of the trade: The two centers have put up similar numbers for their respective teams this season. Bamba signed a one-year deal with the Clippers this offseason, while Eubanks signed a two-year contract in August that Los Angeles will pick up.

The other two players in the trade are veterans. Tucker, 39, signed a three-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2022, which the Clippers took on when the veteran forward was sent to Los Angeles in 2023 as part of the James Harden trade.

Mills, meanwhile, will be joining his fourth team in the past year. Mills was waived by the Atlanta Hawks last February, and signed with the Miami Heat by March; the 36-year-old guard then signed with the Jazz in September.

Per ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the trade puts the Clippers $4 million below the luxury tax, opening the team up for more flexibility ahead of the trade deadline. Tucker, Bamba and Mills are all on contracts that expire at the end of the season, while Eubanks will have one more year remaining on the deal.

In a surprising move, the Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly traded P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.

This trade shakes up both teams’ rosters and could have a significant impact on their playoff hopes. Tucker and Bamba bring defensive presence and versatility to the Jazz, while Eubanks and Mills add depth and shooting to the Clippers’ lineup.

It will be interesting to see how these new acquisitions fit in with their respective teams and how they perform in the postseason. Stay tuned for more updates on this blockbuster trade.

  • Report: P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, More Traded from Clippers to Jazz for Mills, Eubanks | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

P.J. Tucker’s ill-fated time with the Los Angeles Clippers has come to a close.

The Clippers are trading the 39-year-old forward, who has yet to play this season, along with center Mo Bamba and a future second-round pick to the Utah Jazz for forward Drew Eubanks and guard Patty Mills, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise. Coming into the year, the Clippers announced that Tucker wouldn’t be with the team.

“P.J. is a pro who has achieved a lot in his career and there’s more he wants to accomplish,” the Clippers said in a statement on Oct. 6. “We will continue working with P.J. and his representative to find the best situation for him moving forward.”

It was unclear if that would eventually result in a buyout—Tucker is on a $11.5 million player option this season and will become a free agent in the summer—or a trade. Ultimately, the Clippers were able to move him via the trade route.

Bamba, meanwhile, has been used as a reserve in the frontcourt. He’s averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per contest through 28 appearances.

Swapping Tucker and Bamba for Eubanks and Mills, both bench players in Utah, doesn’t improve the Clippers that much. The trade does, however, ease their financial burden slightly.

    Yossi Gozlan @YossiGozlan

The Clippers duck the tax by trading PJ Tucker for Drew Eubanks. They’re $4.1 million below that threshold so still have room to increase payroll a bit while remaining under.<br><br>They also create a $6.5 million trade exception.

Tucker will also welcome the change of scenery.

A divorce felt inevitable after he wasn’t a big part of the rotation last season. He was traded to the Clippers as part of the James Harden deal and appeared in just 28 games (seven starts), averaging 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15 minutes per game while shooting 36.7 percent from three.

Tucker publicly expressed a desire to be moved last season, which ultimately cost him a $75,000 fine.

“I want to be somewhere where I’m needed, wanted and can do it all,” Tucker said in those comments in February. “I don’t know what’s going to happen but I have my fingers crossed and I’m hoping to go somewhere else, whether I get bought out and choose where I go or where I can play.”

Tucker didn’t get his trade last year, but this season the Clippers were able to find a suitor in Utah.

As for what he offers at this point in his career, that’s up for debate. The power forward has traditionally been a rugged, multi-positional defender and glue guy who could hit enough spot-up threes to not completely tank his own team’s offense. But given his age and limited role at this point in his career, his $11.5 million salary is fairly steep.

Considering the Jazz own the Western Conference’s worst record (10-36), a buyout seems the likeliest outcome. They could prefer to keep Tucker’s expiring salary on the books to preserve a sizable cap hold for 2025-26.

In a blockbuster trade that sent shockwaves through the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, and more to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Patty Mills and Drew Eubanks.

The trade, which was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, is said to be a win-win for both teams. The Jazz are getting some much-needed defensive help in Tucker and a promising young center in Bamba, while the Clippers are adding some much-needed scoring punch with Mills and depth with Eubanks.

Tucker, known for his tenacious defense and veteran leadership, will be a valuable addition to the Jazz as they look to make a deep playoff run. Bamba, a former lottery pick, has shown flashes of potential and could benefit from a change of scenery in Utah.

On the other side, Mills will provide the Clippers with some much-needed shooting and playmaking off the bench, while Eubanks will add depth to their frontcourt rotation.

Fans of both teams are eagerly anticipating how this trade will impact their respective rosters and playoff aspirations. Stay tuned for more updates as the trade deadline approaches.

  • Joan Jett, Patti LaBelle, The Revivalists slated to perform at Jazz Fest • The Tulane Hullabaloo

2025 marks 55 years of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, which kicks off on Apr. 24. This year’s Jazz Fest boasts an impressive lineup of big-name artists and local musicians who properly honor the festival’s legacy.

Those who enjoy indie rock will be excited to hear that Cage the Elephant is returning to Jazz Fest’s lineup since their performance in 2018. Known for songs like “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” Cage the Elephant has won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album twice, and it is no wonder why. The band stands out amongst others in the genre because of the members’ sheer creativity, evident in not just their lyrics and musicality, but in their “wildly cathartic performances” that are nothing short of eccentric.

    Zoe Gellert

This year’s lineup includes many other rock bands, including Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band and Cheap Trick, but possibly the most exciting act will be Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Joan Jett is regarded as the “Queen of Rock n’ Roll,” and she and the Blackhearts, her backup band, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. It goes without saying that Jett will be one of the most — if not the most — anticipated acts at this year’s Jazz Fest and will be a must-see for attendees.

While the festival boasts many names in rock, Jazz Fest 2025 also features many artists of other genres, such as country and folk, which includes Kacey Musgraves. Known for songs like “Butterflies” and “Rainbow,” Kacey Musgraves’s commitment to social justice in her music is evident, tackling themes like LGBTQ+ acceptance that adds a liberal element to her work that is uncommon in the country genre. If her performance at Jazz Fest is anything like her set at Austin City Limits in 2019, her set will be a powerful exhibition of her excellent live vocals and engagement with the crowd.

Another big artist coming to Jazz Fest this year is Laufey. Pronounced “lāy-vāy,” Laufey is an Icelandic-Chinese singer whose goal is “to bring jazz and classical music to [her] generation.” It may seem a lofty aspiration to make jazz and classical music exciting to Gen Z, but Laufey has more than succeeded in her goal, garnering 7.7 million followers on TikTok with popular songs like “From the Start” and “Valentine.” Her music has the soft, melodic quality of a Studio Ghibli soundtrack, and her approach to jazz and classical music adds a 21st-century spin on the genres, making her a unique act to see at this year’s Jazz Fest.

While these big-name artists will entice audiences, it would not be Jazz Fest without paying homage to New Orleans culture and local musicians. First on the list of New Orleans-based artists is The Revivalists, an alternative rock band best known for their song “Wish I Knew You.” The band is deeply connected to the city of New Orleans as when they started out, “[they] were watching New Orleans rebuild after Katrina, and fight to keep the city’s spirit alive.” The band’s name comes directly from this deep connection to the city and the idea that art can revive, honoring New Orleans’s history and resiliency through their music.

This year’s lineup also includes some of New Orleans’s greatest, including Trombone Shorty, Big Freedia and Patti LaBelle. None of these artists are strangers to performing, with Big Freedia being credited with helping to popularize the New Orleans hip-hop subgenre, bounce music, and Patti LaBelle being regarded as the “Godmother of Soul.” Trombone Shorty is also an influential artist, especially at Jazz Fest, as he has been closing the festival for over a decade. These artists are instrumental to New Orleans’s music culture today, and whether you have seen them before or not, they will all be worth a watch.

Spanning two weekends, Jazz Fest’s 2025 lineup is talent-packed and will be sure to excite any concert fan, regardless of music taste. For those interested, check out the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival website for tickets and set times, and have a happy Jazz Fest!

Exciting news for music lovers in New Orleans! The lineup for this year’s Jazz Fest at the Tulane Hullabaloo has just been announced, and it’s sure to be a can’t-miss event. Rock icon Joan Jett, legendary soul singer Patti LaBelle, and the popular indie rock band The Revivalists are all slated to perform at the festival.

Joan Jett, known for hits like “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” and “Bad Reputation,” is sure to bring her high-energy performance to the stage. Patti LaBelle, with her powerhouse voice and timeless classics like “Lady Marmalade” and “On My Own,” is sure to dazzle the crowd. And The Revivalists, with their unique blend of rock, soul, and funk, are sure to get everyone dancing.

So mark your calendars for the Jazz Fest at the Tulane Hullabaloo and get ready for a weekend of incredible music from some of the biggest names in the industry. Tickets are sure to sell out fast, so be sure to grab yours before it’s too late. See you there!

  • Timberwolves vs. Jazz Prediction, Odds and Best NBA Prop Bets for Thursday, Jan. 30

The Timberwolves are winners of four in a row and have the chance to make it five against an out-matched opponent on the second night of a back-to-back.

After beating the Suns on Wednesday night, the T’Wolves are in Utah to face the Jazz, one of the worst teams in the league. The Jazz may be interested in helping its draft stock, but can the team cover the spread? Has Minnesota turned a corner now? Let’s answer these questions by sharing all the key information and get you set for this Thursday night matchup.

Minnesota Timberwolves Best NBA Prop Bets

Anthony Edwards OVER 3.5 Three Pointers Made

Edwards continues his torrid stretch of play, but his improvements from beyond the arc are notable. He is shooting nearly 10 threes per game this season making them at a blistering 41.8% clip, but he’s been even better this month.

Edwards is shooting 42% from deep this month, making more than four threes per game, and will now draw a shaky and out-matched Jazz defense on Thursday night.

Banking on an average Edwards shooting night, even on the second night of a back-to-back, is fine with me.

    Isiah Collier OVER 8.5 Points

The rookie continues to get plenty of run in January, playing about 29 minutes per game and averaging nine points per game. That number has continued to go up of late, scoring 12 or more in three of the last five and not scoring fewer than eight points in the other two.

The Jazz are in the onset of a rebuild and are willing to play its young players through growing pains. While Collier hasn’t been shooting that efficiently, he has a 37% field goal percentage this season, that’s up to 41% in January, and I like him to continue his upward trajectory.

The betting market has been overrating the T’Wolves all season, the team is 12-24 against the spread this season, so I’m going to steer clear of the team winning with the necessary margin on Thursday night on the second night of a back-to-back. Instead, I’m going to target the total.

The T’Wolves are always going to figure to be a top defense with Rudy Gobert leading the unit, and this month has been no different with the team ranking 10th in points allowed per 100 possessions. I expect the defense to be up to par on Thursday against a Jazz team that has sputtered in January, bottom five in points per 100 possessions.

Meanwhile, the Utah defense has been better of late, allowing four points better this month relative to its season long average, ranking 18th in January.

The T’Wolves offense has taken a step back this season, 14th in points per 100 possessions, but has been better this month, good for 10th in the NBA in January. However, the team is opting to play a more methodical tempo, ranking bottom five in the league in pace.

On the second night of a back-to-back, with an eye on controlling the pace, I’ll side with Minnesota leaning on its defense to lead the charge on Thursday, keeping this game under the total.

    PICK: UNDER 224

The Minnesota Timberwolves will face off against the Utah Jazz on Thursday, Jan. 30 in what is sure to be an exciting NBA matchup. Both teams are looking to secure a win and improve their standings in the Western Conference.

The Timberwolves have had a rough season so far, currently sitting near the bottom of the conference with a record of 15-31. The Jazz, on the other hand, have been performing well and are currently in playoff contention with a record of 32-13.

The odds for this game currently favor the Jazz, with most sportsbooks giving them a significant advantage. The over/under for total points scored is set at 218.5, indicating that this could be a high-scoring game.

When it comes to prop bets, there are a few options that stand out for this matchup. One potential bet is on Donovan Mitchell to score over 25 points. Mitchell has been a key player for the Jazz this season and has the ability to put up big numbers on any given night.

Another prop bet to consider is on Karl-Anthony Towns to record a double-double. Towns is a dominant force in the paint and is capable of grabbing double-digit rebounds while also scoring in bunches.

Overall, the Jazz are the clear favorites in this game and are likely to come out on top. However, there could still be some value in betting on specific player performances. Be sure to tune in to see how this exciting matchup unfolds on Thursday night.
