Kanye West Back In L.A.!!! Crashes at A$AP Rocky’s House Amid Trial

Updated
Kanye West is back on U.S. turf after weeks of globe-trotting with Bianca Censori, and he’s wasting no time reconnecting with old pals — including A$AP Rocky.
As we know, A$AP’s been attending his high-profile assault trialdowntown … and it seems like Ye is showing support, heading straight to his friend’s L.A. crib to spend the night Thursday.
It was a long day for Ye though, ’cause earlier he was spotted cruising the city in fancy cars with his manager, John Monopoly … and they stopped in at a West Hollywood studio.
Looks like Kanye was in a great mood, soaking up some fresh company after his time abroad with Bianca.
Bianca was probably using her downtime to recover from jet lag — oh, and you can bet she’s also plotting her next set of saucy Stateside fits.
In a shocking turn of events, Kanye West has jetted back to Los Angeles and taken refuge at A$AP Rocky’s house amidst his ongoing trial. The rapper, who has been embroiled in legal troubles in recent months, was spotted arriving at Rocky’s lavish mansion in the Hollywood Hills earlier this week.
Sources close to the situation revealed that Kanye sought shelter at A$AP Rocky’s home to escape the media frenzy surrounding his trial and to seek solace from his close friend. The two artists have been longtime collaborators and have a strong bond that dates back several years.
As Kanye’s trial continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how this unexpected development will impact the outcome of the case. Fans and onlookers alike are eagerly awaiting further updates on Kanye’s legal situation and his stay at A$AP Rocky’s house.

It has begun! Art Rooney II told everyone that while coaching staff changes were coming, the moves wouldn’t be “wholesale.”
Aaron Curry, who has been with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the team’s inside linebackers coach since February 2023, has been hired by the New York Jets as their new linebackers coach.
While no one can deny the inconsistency surrounding the run-stopping duties of the linebacker room in 2024, Curry was hardly the problem behind the defensive struggles as a whole.
Curry is expected to play a major role on the New York Jets’ coaching staff under new head coach Aaron Glenn and new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
x.com
Will more changes follow Curry’s departure from the Black and Gold? If so, will the Pittsburgh Steelers make the right decision and move on from defensive coordinator Teryl Austin? No one can deny that this 2025 offseason is shaping up to be an exciting one as January comes to a close.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have suffered a major blow as their defensive coach has decided to leave the team and join the New York Jets. This unexpected departure has left Steelers fans wondering how the team will adjust and move forward without their key defensive strategist.
The defensive coach, who played a crucial role in shaping the Steelers’ defense over the past few seasons, will now be tasked with revamping the struggling Jets defense. His departure comes at a crucial time for the Steelers, as they are currently in the midst of a playoff push and will need to quickly find a replacement to fill the void left by his absence.
While losing a key member of the coaching staff is never easy, the Steelers will need to regroup and focus on finding a suitable replacement to ensure their defense remains strong and competitive. With the playoffs looming, the team will need to quickly adapt to this unexpected change in order to stay on track and continue their pursuit of a championship.
Only time will tell how this coaching change will impact the Steelers, but one thing is for certain – the team will need to come together and rally around their new defensive coach in order to overcome this setback and continue their quest for success.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker coach Aaron Curry against the New England Patriots, December 8, 2023 – Ed Thompson / Steelers Now
Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebackers coach Aaron Curry is being hired the New York Jets as their linebackers coach, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Curry is the first departure from the Steelers coaching staff after the 2024 season. He had spent two seasons with the Steelers coaching their inside linebackers, including Patrick Queen, who was selected to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games this week.
It’s unclear if Curry was still under contract to the Steelers. Position coaches are generally given two-year contracts.
A former first-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks, Curry spent four seasons coaching at UNC Charlotte, and then three with the Seahawks before joining the Steelers. Curry coached defensive ends at Charlotte and outside linebackers with the Seahawks, but inside backers with the Steelers, which more closely aligned with where he played as a pro.
The Steelers struggled to defend the run down the stretch run of the 2024 season, giving up big totals to Baltimore Ravens back Derrick Henry twice over the final five weeks of the season.

Team president Art Rooney II called the linebacker position a strength during his end-of-season press conference, and most of that group will be set to return in 2025. Queen, Payton Wilson, Cole Holcomb and Mark Robinson are all under contract for next season, while Elandon Roberts and special teamer Tyler Matakevich are set to become free agents.
Pittsburgh did not have an assistant inside linebackers coach on the staff, though former Steelers inside linebacker Vince Williams worked as a de facto assistant defensive line coach this season and could be in consideration for a promotion.
Before Curry, Jerry Olsavsky was the team’s inside linebackers coach from 2015-22. He spent the last two seasons coaching at Duquesne.
More must-reads:
The New York Jets have announced the hiring of Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach, Matt Canada, as their new offensive coordinator. Canada brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the Jets’ coaching staff.
In his time with the Steelers, Canada played a key role in developing their dynamic offense, helping to lead the team to multiple playoff appearances. His innovative play-calling and ability to adapt to different schemes make him a valuable addition to the Jets’ coaching staff.
Jets fans can look forward to a more dynamic and explosive offense under Canada’s leadership. With his expertise and strategic approach, the team is poised to make significant improvements in the upcoming season.
We are excited to welcome Matt Canada to the New York Jets family and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on our team. Let’s go Jets! #JetUp #NewYorkJets #MattCanada #OffensiveCoordinator

New Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is adding a fellow former first-round pick to his defensive staff.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Aaron Curry is joining the Jets as linebackers coach.
Curry, 38, has been Pittsburgh’s inside linebackers coach for the last two seasons. Before that, he was with Seattle from 2019-2022, first as a coaching assistant and then as a defensive assistant.
The Seahawks selected Curry at No. 4 overall in the 2009 draft. He played 35 games for the club before being traded to the Raiders midway through the 2011 season. He appeared in 13 games for the franchise through the 2012 season.
Curry also worked with Charlotte at the collegiate level from 2013-2018 before making his way back to the pros as a coach.
Former NFL linebacker Aaron Curry has agreed to join the New York Jets as their new linebackers coach for the upcoming season. Curry, who had a successful career as a player, will now bring his expertise and knowledge to the coaching staff.
After retiring from the NFL, Curry has been working as a private coach and mentor for young linebackers looking to improve their skills. His experience and leadership on the field make him a valuable addition to the Jets coaching staff.
Curry’s presence on the sidelines will undoubtedly benefit the Jets’ linebackers and help them reach their full potential. With his guidance and mentorship, the Jets’ defense is sure to improve and become a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season.
Fans are excited to see what Curry will bring to the team and how he will help shape the Jets’ linebackers into a dominant force on the field. Welcome aboard, Aaron Curry!

There’s a chance Nick Caley will leave the Los Angeles Rams for an offensive coordinator opportunity this offseason, but it won’t be with the New York Jets.
According to Connor Hughes of SNY, Caley has told the Jets that he’s not interested in being their offensive coordinator. Hughes reports that Caley was the team’s “top option” but he has “let it be known he did not have interest in the job.”
With LaFleur out of the running, the Jets are expected to hire Tanner Engstrand as their offensive coordinator. For Caley, he’s also being pursued by the Buccaneers and Texans, so he could potentially leave the Rams for one of those OC openings.
x.com
Caley just finished his second season with the Rams as their tight ends coach, also serving as their pass game coordinator under Sean McVay. He joined the Rams in 2023 after eight years with the Patriots, seven of which were as their tight ends coach.
According to a recent report, Los Angeles Rams tight ends coach Nick Caley is not interested in the New York Jets’ offensive coordinator position, despite being considered their top option for the role. Caley, who has been with the Rams since 2018, has garnered interest from several teams looking to fill coaching vacancies this offseason.
Despite the Jets reportedly viewing Caley as their top choice for the offensive coordinator position, it seems that he is not inclined to leave the Rams at this time. Caley has played a significant role in the development of the Rams’ tight ends, including standout player Tyler Higbee, and may be content to continue his work with the team.
While the Jets may need to explore other options for their offensive coordinator position, Caley’s decision to stay with the Rams could be seen as a vote of confidence in the organization and its coaching staff. It remains to be seen who the Jets will ultimately choose to fill the role, but it appears that Caley will not be making the move to New York.
The Detroit Lions are reportedly losing another coach.
Connor Hughes of SNY reported Friday that the New York Jets are expected to hire Lions passing game coordinator Tanner Engstrand as their new offensive coordinator. Engstrand is certainly a familiar name for new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn after their shared time on Dan Campbell’s staff in Detroit.
Hughes noted New York attempted to hire Los Angeles Rams tight ends coach and passing game coordinator Nick Caley as its “top option” but was rejected.
The Jets apparently weren’t the only ones interested in Caley, who Hughes pointed out will “have other options.” He also reported New York will keep wide receiver coach Shawn Jefferson after blocking interview requests for him around the league.
As for Engstrand’s departure, this is another loss for the Lions staff.
Glenn became the head coach of the Jets, while offensive coordinator Ben Johnson became the head coach of the division-rival Chicago Bears.
Elsewhere, defensive line coach Terrell Williams went to the New England Patriots as DC, wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El went to the Bears in the same position, assistant quarterbacks coach J.T. Barrett went to Chicago as the quarterbacks coach and tight ends coach Steve Heiden became the offensive line coach of the Jets.
It is quite the turnover for a franchise that has turned itself around under head coach Dan Campbell and become one of the league’s best teams.
New York is looking for a similar turnaround with Engstrand as its offensive coordinator.

The 2024 season was his fifth on Detroit’s staff and second as the passing game coordinator. The Lions finished his first season in the role second in the league in passing yards on the way to the NFC Championship Game and his second season in the role second in the league again on the way to the conference’s No. 1 seed.
Players such as Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta thrived under his coaching, and he will look to help the Jets’ playmakers unlock similar production.
There are still a number of questions to be answered in New York, not the least of which is will Aaron Rodgers be back at quarterback, but the team at least knows who the O.C. will be after this move.
According to recent rumors, the New York Jets are expected to hire Detroit Lions’ Tanner Engstrand as their new offensive coordinator. This comes after Nick Caley reportedly rejected the job offer from the Jets.
Engstrand, who has been with the Lions for several years, is highly regarded for his offensive prowess and innovative play-calling. He is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the Jets’ offense and help develop young quarterback Zach Wilson.
While the deal has not been officially confirmed yet, sources close to the situation believe that Engstrand is the frontrunner for the job. Jets fans are hopeful that his hiring will bring a new energy to the team and help turn their offense around.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as more information becomes available. #Jets #TannerEngstrand #OffensiveCoordinator
Aaron Glenn began filling out his coaching staff Wednesday with three hires, including defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, and special teams coordinator Chris Banjo.
And there’s a chance he could fill his final coordinator job, and arguably the most important hire he’ll make as the coach here, before the weekend arrives.
Ever since Glenn was hired last week, the Jets have been linked closely to Lions passing game coordinator Tenner Engstrand – the only name to gain real traction for open offensive coordinator job.
Now we’re about to find out if there’s fire under all that smoke. There was with Wilks, who also emerged as a font-runner right after Glenn got the job. But Wilks is also one of the most experienced coaches in the league and a perfect fit with Glenn giving up play calling to take a wider view of the team as a first-year head coach.
Engstrand is viewed as a sharp offensive mind with a lot of potential. But there’s an element of risk there because he hasn’t had much of a chance to prove it in a meaningful way.
He has only two years of NFL experience as a positional and only four years of experience at this level total (he spent his first two years in Detroit as a offensive assistant and quality offensive control coach).
But he has some past relationships that that could help him in the job. And years of experience calling plays, even if its not at the NFL level.
Engstrand was an offensive coordinator at the University of San Diego, his alma mater, a few years after he started his career there as a graduate assistant under Jim Harbaugh.
He spent seven seasons as the San Diego OC before joining Harbaugh in Michigan as an offensive analyst in 2018.
In 2020 he was the offensive coordinator for the XFL’S DC Defenders. He joined the Lions staff on the ground floor in 2021, watching and helping coach Dan Campbell, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, and Glenn turn Detroit from a punchline into a contender.
All of that experience, both from an x’s and o’s standpoint and from coaching personalities, should have him well equipped for a coordinator job if he’s been paying attention.
Yes, it would be a bit of a risk, but Glenn knows what he’s getting after working with Engstrand for the last four years, and any offensive coordinator the Jets hire will be a risk because they’ve gone through seven in the last nine years .
The only thing that gives us a slight bit of pause about Engstrand? Johnson passed him over when it came time to hire his OC in Chicago, and Campbell did the same.

The New York Jets are in the market for a key assistant coach, and former player Aaron Glenn is said to be a favorite for the position. However, with other teams showing interest in Glenn, should he consider looking elsewhere for his next coaching opportunity? Stay tuned for updates on the Jets’ coaching search and Glenn’s potential future with the team.
Good morning Gang Green Nation! The Detroit Lions have hired David Shaw as their new passing game coordinator. He replaces Tanner Engstrand, leaving Engstrand still employed but without a job title with the Lions. That suggests another team will likely hire Engstrand very soon. The Jets are rumored to be interested in him for their open offensive coordinator position, so perhaps that opening will be filled shortly.
If Engstrand is hired as the Jets offensive coordinator, that would make it four out of the top five coaching hires who have never worked in their current positions before. Steve Wilks has been a defensive coordinator, but Aaron Glenn has never been a head coach, Tanner Engstrand has never been an offensive coordinator, Chris Banjo has never been a special teams coordinator and Steve Heiden has never been an offensive line coach. If this is the coaching staff, we should probably expect some growing pains as the new coaches get on the job training and learn their new responsibilities in real time. This could be a bumpy ride, at least in the first year.
Here are your links to your New York Jets this glorious Friday in January:
In an exciting turn of events, New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams took home the title in the Big Spike Competition. The competition, which pits players against each other in a series of challenges to showcase their strength and athleticism, saw Williams dominate the field with his impressive skills.
Williams, who was selected by the Jets in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, has quickly made a name for himself as a force to be reckoned with on the field. His performance in the Big Spike Competition only solidifies his reputation as a standout player in the league.
Fans of the Jets can look forward to seeing Williams continue to make waves in the upcoming season, as he proves time and time again that he is a valuable asset to the team. Stay tuned for more updates on Williams and the rest of the New York Jets as they gear up for an exciting season ahead. #NewYorkJets #QuinnenWilliams #BigSpikeCompetition #NFL
The Super Bowl is set! The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will square off in New Orleans … and pick last in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
If you’re not a fan of either team, you’re still in luck. Here’s how your squad can start making the climb to the big game.
Draft order via Tankathon. In this edition, Nate Tice makes the odd-numbered picks and Charles McDonald makes the even.
The Titans said they want a “generational” talent at the top of the draft, though Cam Ward would still make sense if they decide to move on from Will Levis. There’s also the possibility of adding more firepower to their defensive front with Abdul Carter, or a trade (a long-term right tackle would sure be nice). Really whatever adventure the Titans choose makes sense at the top of a wide open class. Hunter is a dynamic talent at cornerback, with even more to tap into. He would bring starpower to Tennessee’s defense and help bolster the offense in a small role, too. — Nate Tice
2. Cleveland Browns — Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Browns are in a tough spot with Deshaun Watson’s contract looming large for the next few years, but they can at least give themselves an opportunity to move on at quarterback rather quickly with the selection of Ward. He’s a gunslinger and a player who will try to make the most of whatever the defense offers up — which ends up in mistakes sometimes. Still, he has the aggressive style to end up as a high quality NFL passer. — Charles McDonald
3. New York Giants — Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Giants get their new QB of the future, and a player who is used to pressure, attention and bright lights. While this is a tad rich for where Sanders will end up on big boards, he’s tough, competitive, has plenty of arm strength to attack all areas of the field and can really drive on throws. QB desperation is a real thing, especially in New York.
4. New England Patriots —Will Campbell, OT, LSU
New England seemingly found its quarterback in Drake Maye, who was stellar as a rookie last season. Now, the Patriots need to find serious help on the offensive line in order to make sure he has the most help possible to see his career through. Campbell is a Day 1 starter at left tackle who will be a nice building block on New England’s mission to improve the offensive line.
With QBs and Hunter going early, the Jaguars have talented players to select from. The Jaguars, and whatever general manager will be making this pick for them, go with the explosive Graham to add some interior disruption to their front. Jacksonville has holes at other places along the roster, but Graham is a talented player who played through injuries in 2025, and would turn the Jaguars’ front into one of the league’s better ones right away.
6. Las Vegas Raiders —Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Johnson is probably the best player available at this point in the draft, bringing potential shutdown cornerback skills to a defense that desperately needs big-time talent on the outside.
7. New York Jets — Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State
This would be quite the get for the Jets at No. 7. Carter has upside as a true pass rushing ace who would inject the venom back into what has been a deep unit in recent years. Carter has an explosive get-off and the bend to turn the corner on tackles. He’s still inconsistent playing the run, which means you won’t see many Carter-Will McDonald pairings on early downs, but he would keep the cupboard full of pass rushing options for Aaron Glenn and new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
Carolina got some quality play out of Bryce Young toward the end of the season and now need to keep building out the core. McMillan can be a tremendous No. 1 receiver for Young to grow with and would immediately create quality depth with young players like Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker.
Nate Tice and Charles McDonald’s 2025 NFL mock draft 5.0 is here. (Grant Thomas/Yahoo Sports)
9. New Orleans Saints—Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia
Chase Young and Payton Turner are free agents, and Cameron Jordan is on the back nine of his career. Williams’ length and tools give him one of the highest upsides of any player in this draft class. He still needs time to tap into that upside, but there were strong glimpses and stretches this season after Williams returned from an ankle injury. On a Saints franchise without a head coach and with holes and decisions to make at essentially every position, Williams will almost certainly get the playing time to hone his talent.
10. Chicago Bears —Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
The Bears need offensive line help outside of right tackle, so here’s a running mate for Darnell Wright. Simmons has a chance to be a riser during the draft process considering his skills, athleticism and upside.
11. San Francisco 49ers — Armand Membou, OG/OT, Missouri
Whether it’s a new right tackle, interior help or a Trent Williams succession plan, the 49ers’ offense could use an injection of beef. Membou is a good athlete who played tackle this past year at Missouri, but could kick inside at the next level. He has long arms that can bring some pop with his blocks. Kyle Shanahan likes to ask his linemen to move and be in space, and Membou would fit in nicely somewhere.
12. Dallas Cowboys — Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Something flashy for America’s Team. Jeanty isn’t necessarily the most important player the Cowboys need coming into the draft, but he would be a great fit for their offense and most importantly, sell jerseys.
13. Miami Dolphins— Kelvin Banks, OG/OT, Texas
Banks has been the left tackle for Texas the past several years but I think his NFL future will be best kicking inside to guard. Banks is squarely built, strong and explosive. The Dolphins have multiple guards about to hit free agency and are currently without a returning starter at either spot. Banks can fit many types of offensive attacks as a guard, and would nicely fill the huge hole on Miami’s offensive line.
14. Indianapolis Colts — Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Colts seem to be sticking with Anthony Richardson for another year, so here’s a dynamic athlete at tight end to make his life a little easier. For his size (6-foot-6, 261 pounds), Warren is one of the most impressive athletes in the country and will open up the playbook for Colts head coach Shane Steichen.
15. Atlanta Falcons — Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
Grant is a monster in the middle whose best football is in front of him. He has excellent size (6-3, 340 pounds) and is very good against the run, but isn’t just a plugger. While the Falcons desperately need pass rushers (as has been the case for over a decade), Grant is an easy mover who can be disruptive. He needs work harnessing his tools.
Walker is the perfect player for how the Cardinals have liked playing defense. He’s an amoeba-like defender who can play a whole bunch of roles and excels as a blitzer moving fast downhill. Walker may not be a classic edge, but that’s a good fit for Arizona.
17. Cincinnati Bengals — Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
The Bengals need to address their leakiness against the run this offseason, and that begins up the spine of their defense. Nolen is another athletic defensive tackle in this class who is especially disruptive on twists and games. He still has to harness his ability to impact plays more consistently, but he can create edginess and explosive plays for a defense that desperately needs it.
18. Seattle Seahawks — Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
Klint Kubiak’s scheme is going to run the damn ball and Seattle’s offensive line didn’t necessarily make that the easiest task this season. Booker would be an immediate starter along the line for a group that desperately needs talent.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
This has been one of my favorite pairings on these mock drafts. General manager Jason Licht does a great job of addressing current and soon-to-be holes at positions. Lavonte David is a franchise legend, but inside linebacker is looking like one of those positions in Tampa Bay. Campbell has excellent size (6-3, 244 pounds) with real two-way potential. He can get downhill in the run game, but is fluid enough to turn and run in coverage. His experience as a blitzer will also translate nicely in Todd Bowles’ defense.
The Broncos’ defense is close to being the elite, all-round unit they wanted to be in 2024, but they just need some more help along the defensive line. Stewart has upside through the roof, but is still a little rough around the edges.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers — Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Outside of a long-term answer at QB, the Steelers desperately need another pass catcher to pair with George Pickens. Egbuka is a coach’s dream of a player: He is good at essentially every aspect of playing the receiver position, plays hard and is an excellent blocker. While the Steelers have shied away from taking receivers in the first round, Egbuka feels like a Steelers receiver with his ability to play inside and out, along with his toughness that would fit perfectly in Arthur Smith’s offense.
22. Los Angeles Chargers — Shavon Revel Jr., CB, ECU
The Chargers’ defense needs a blue-chip player at cornerback and there might not be a better option at this point than Revel. He missed all of last season with a torn ACL, but he has the prototypical size (6-3, 193 pounds) and speed to grow into a No. 1 cornerback.
23. Green Bay Packers — Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
With center Josh Myers hitting free agency, the Packers could be doing some shuffling along their offensive line, which could have them looking to adding to their line room again early in the draft. Conerly improved rapidly as the season went along, especially with his strength and ability to anchor as well as using his hands more consistently. Conerly has the length and athleticism to stay out at either tackle spot, and could give the Packers another option with pedigree to get their “best five” out there.
Trade! The Bills jump up to get Burden, who may be a steal at this point in the draft. The Bills could use another wide receiver to make life easier for Josh Allen and they get another quality target here.
The Texans absolutely, desperately need offensive line help. But they have invested heavily already into the position and I think stronger coaching at that position will help them get better performances in the near future. I instead address the Texans’ pass-catching group that looks more depleted after Tank Dell’s gruesome injury and Stefon Diggs’ upcoming free agency. Dalton Schultz is as solid as they come at tight end, but Loveland is even more dynamic as a pass catcher, with the ability to split out that could make for some fun synergy with star Nico Collins in a fun 1-2 punch for C.J. Stroud.
26. Los Angeles Rams — Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
Golden has been a late riser over the past few months as he had a big hand in Texas’ playoff run in January. He’s got big-play ability downfield and could be a nice complement for Puka Nacua for the long haul.
27. Baltimore Ravens — Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Another safety falling to the Ravens? Starks is a versatile back-end player who would give Baltimore even more flexibility in its defensive back room. The Ravens love to rotate their players after the snap, and Starks’ ability to line up deep or in the slot would give the coaches another option to move their players around.
28. Detroit Lions — Mike Green, Edge, Marshall
Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush. Green is a quality defender off the edge and has the makings of one of those small-school players who ends up in a great spot. Detroit needs juice along the defensive line and Green joining a healthy line would give the Lions a hellacious front.
29. Washington Commanders — James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee
The Commanders’ front seven was essentially built out of their talented defensive tackles and a bunch of other guns for hire. Pearce’s pass rush-first style will actually fit well with Dan Quinn’s 120-mph-at-all-times style. He still needs to work on his consistency in impacting the game.
The Vikings had a great defense without many great players, particularly along the interior of the defensive line. Harmon gives Minnesota a chance to find that impact defensive tackle.
31. Philadelphia Eagles — Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
The Eagles’ offensive line factory keeps on churning. Ersery has dozens of starts under his belt at left tackle, but could be an eventual successor to Lane Johnson on the right side. Mekhi Becton has been a fun rental and project for Jeff Stoutland, but Ersery could even fill that spot if Johnson wants to hold off on his retirement for a bit longer.
32. Kansas City Chiefs — Marcus Mbow, OT/OG, Purdue
Kansas City is starting a Caliendo in the Super Bowl and it might as well be Frank. They need to spam picks along the offensive line — especially with the potential (likely?) departure of guard Trey Smith in free agency.
The 2025 NFL mock draft 5.0 is here, and it’s shaping up to be one for the ages. In this latest edition, the Tennessee Titans have landed a ‘generational’ talent with the first overall pick, while quarterbacks go 2-3 and the New York Jets manage to snag a steal later on in the first round.
With the first overall pick, the Titans have selected a player who is being hailed as a once-in-a-lifetime talent. This prospect is a game-changer on both sides of the ball and is sure to make an immediate impact in the NFL.
As for the quarterbacks, teams are looking to secure their future by taking signal-callers early in the draft. The second and third picks see two highly-touted QB prospects off the board, with both players expected to compete for starting jobs right away.
But perhaps the biggest surprise of the draft comes when the Jets make their selection. Despite picking later in the first round, New York manages to land a player who many experts believe has top-10 talent. This steal could prove to be a game-changer for the Jets as they continue their rebuild.
Overall, the 2025 NFL mock draft 5.0 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting drafts in recent memory. With top talent at every position, teams are sure to find the future stars of the league in this year’s draft class. Stay tuned for more updates as the draft approaches.
David Blough‘s quarterback career lasted through the 2023 season, and the veteran reserve opted to transition to coaching before his 30th birthday. He is already generating extensive interest about moving up the ladder.
The Commandershired Blough last year, and he spent the season as their assistant QBs coach. As teams observed the success Jayden Daniels enjoyed this season, Blough’s name is already in the mix for a move into a key role. Some of his former coaches are interested in bringing him aboard as QBs coach.
The Bears, Jaguars and Jets have submitted requests to interview Blough, NFL.com’s Mike Garafolo tweets. Chicago is eyeing him for its pass-game coordinator job, while Jacksonville and New York want to speak with him about coming aboard as QBs coach. The Bears may no longer be interested, at least regarding the pass-game coordinator position, as ex-Jaguars OC Press Taylortook that job Wednesday night.
Blough, 29, has an extensive history with Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn but did not overlap with Liam Coen. The new Jags HC has taken an extensive interest in Washington’s staff, with the Jags interviewing Commanders QBs coach Tavita Pritchardfor their offensive coordinator role Wednesday. Pritchard landing that gig could make Blough a candidate to move up in Washington.
Blough did not receive much playing time as a pro, but that did not stop fellow 29-year-old recent retiree Davis Webb, who has impressed as the Broncos’ QBs coach. Blough is best remembered for his time with the Lions, a tenure that began with a summer 2019 trade. The Lions obtained Blough from the Browns in August 2019 and installed him as a Matthew Stafford backup. As Stafford missed half that season with a back injury, Blough started five games. While he lost all five, his tenure in Detroit continued after the Lions replaced Matt Patricia with Dan Campbell.
Johnson arrived in Detroit during the same offseason Blough did, beginning as an offensive assistant and eventually rising to the OC role. The Lions cut Blough after training camp in 2022, leading him to stints with the Vikings and then the Cardinals — with whom he made two more starts (two losses) to close out the ’22 campaign — but the Lions circled back to the Purdue alum once the Cards cut him in August 2023. Blough spent the ’23 season on the Lions’ practice squad, remaining there until the team’s NFC championship game loss to the 49ers.
Johnson has already gone historically young with his OC post, hiring ex-Webb Denver colleagueDeclan Doyle, who is 28. Blough would make for an interesting addition. The Jets join the Jags in not yet hiring an OC. The Commanders will see their play-caller (Kliff Kingsbury) return for the 2025 season, but both Pritchard and Blough are drawing interest early.
The NFL offseason is in full swing, and teams are already starting to make moves to improve their rosters for the upcoming season. One player who has caught the eye of several teams is Washington Commanders quarterback David Blough.
According to reports, the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets have all requested interviews with Blough as they explore potential quarterback options for the 2022 season. Blough, who has spent the last two seasons with the Commanders, has shown flashes of potential in limited playing time and could be an intriguing option for teams in need of a signal-caller.
The Bears are looking to find a successor to veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, while the Jaguars are in need of competition for Trevor Lawrence. The Jets, on the other hand, are looking to solidify their quarterback situation after a disappointing season from Zach Wilson.
It remains to be seen where Blough will ultimately end up, but it’s clear that he has generated interest from multiple teams. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
