  • Former Jaguars OC Press Taylor joining Ben Johnson, Bears staff

Former Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive coordinator Press Taylor is joining Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears coaching staff, according to Ian Rapoport.

Taylor will specifically be the Bears’ passing game coordinator under Johnson and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle.

Taylor had been the Jaguars’ offensive coordinator from 2022 through the 2024 season under then-head coach Doug Pederson.

Prior to that, Taylor was with Pederson in Philadelphia, as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.

During Taylor’s first season as offensive coordinator, the Jaguars averaged 23.9 points per game, which ranked ninth in the NFL. They also ranked ninth in yards per play as well.

However, in the two years that followed, the offensive production would decline. In 2023, the Jaguars ranked 15th in scoring and 17th in yards per play, and then bottomed out in 2024, finishing 26th in scoring and 18th in yards per play.

The Jaguars are currently on the search for a new offensive coordinator and have had one verified interview at this time with LA Rams passing game specialist Nate Scheelhaase.

Head coach Liam Coen, however, confirmed on Monday that the will be the play-caller. In his one year with the Bucs, Coen helped produce one of the more effective offenses in football. Priority No. 1 in Jacksonville is to now maximize Trevor Lawrence’s abilities.

The Chicago Bears have added another former Jacksonville Jaguars coach to their staff, as Press Taylor is set to join Ben Johnson on the offensive coaching staff.

Taylor, who was the Jaguars’ former offensive coordinator, will bring his experience and expertise to help guide the Bears’ offense to success. With a strong background in developing quarterbacks and designing innovative offensive schemes, Taylor is expected to make a significant impact on the team.

Ben Johnson, who was recently promoted to offensive coordinator, will now have a trusted ally in Taylor as they work together to elevate the Bears’ offense to new heights.

Fans are excited to see what this dynamic duo can accomplish together and are hopeful that Taylor’s arrival will bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the team. With Taylor and Johnson leading the charge, the Bears’ offense is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season.

  • Tucker Carlson’s son Buckley is joining JD Vance’s staff

Buckley Carlson, a former Capitol Hill aide and the son of conservative media personality Tucker Carlson, is set to join Vice President JD Vance’s press office, sources tell ABC News.

The younger Carlson is set to serve as Vance’s deputy press secretary, sources said.

Buckley Carlson has worked as an aide on Capitol Hill since 2019, including most recently serving as deputy chief of staff to Republican Rep. Jim Banks.

He first joined Banks’ office in 2019 as a staff assistant before becoming communications director in 2021.

Earlier this month, Vance tapped several former employees to join his vice presidential staff in senior staff roles, including Jacob Reses, who is continuing to serve as his chief of staff.

Brian Gray, who served as Vance’s political director for his 2022 Senate campaign and state director for his Senate office, was tapped to be his deputy chief of staff.

Ben Moss will serve as Vance’s director of domestic policy after previously serving as Vance’s general counsel during his time in the Senate.

Andy Baker, a former foreign officer, was brought on to serve as Vance’s national security adviser.

Will Martin was made Vance’s communication director after previously serving as Vance’s communication director during his time in the Senate. Luke Schroeder, who previously served as press secretary for Vance’s Senate office, is now Vance’s deputy communications director. Both men also worked for Vance during the presidential campaign.

Taylor Van Kirk is Vance’s press secretary after previously working as the communications director for his 2022 Senate campaign and as his press secretary during the presidential campaign.

Vance’s director of operations is Abby Delahoyde, who previously held the same role under Vance when he was in the Senate. She also previously worked for Rep. Byron Donalds and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson.

Sean Cooksey, the former chair of the Federal Election Commission, also joined the vice president’s staff to serve as general counsel to Vance.

Tucker Carlson’s son Buckley has officially joined JD Vance’s staff as a member of his communications team. This news comes as no surprise, as Buckley has long been involved in conservative media and has shown a keen interest in politics.

Vance, a former venture capitalist and author of the bestselling book “Hillbilly Elegy,” is currently running for Senate in Ohio. His campaign has gained traction in recent months, with many seeing him as a potential rising star in the Republican party.

Buckley’s addition to Vance’s team is sure to bring a fresh perspective and new energy to the campaign. With his experience in media and communications, he is well-equipped to help Vance navigate the challenges of a competitive Senate race.

It will be interesting to see how Buckley’s involvement shapes Vance’s campaign and whether it will help him gain an edge in the crowded field of candidates. One thing is for certain – with Buckley on board, Vance’s team just got a whole lot stronger.

  • Selena Gomez’s fans furious over rumors of Benny Blanco joining ‘Tangled’

Selena Gomezs fans stormed social media with rude remarks about Benny Blanco.
Selena Gomez’s fans stormed social media with rude remarks about Benny Blanco.

Selena Gomez’s fans have shared their honest opinions and reactions to rumours of her fiancé, Benny Blanco, being in the talks to play Tangled’s heartthrob Flynn Rider in the Disney’s live-action remake of the 2010s’ film.

In December, Variety reported that the live-action adaptation of Tangled was in development, with Michael Gracey speculated to direct. Ever since then, rumours about a potential cast for the lead roles have begun circulating all over social media.

New rumours emerged this week, implying that the 36-year-old songwriter could be cast as Flynn, a character that was originally voiced by Zachary Levi.

Fans of the widely beloved movie took their discontentment to X, formerly known as Twitter, with one saying, “Don’t ruin this movie for me.”

One expressed that Benny and Flynn look nothing alike so the casting wouldn’t make sense.

“Guess we’re getting a musical number with autotune in the tower!” another user remarked.

Fans have made it clear they are not happy with the alleged news, with many previously calling for Sabrina Carpenter to play Rapunzel and Avan Jogia or Milo Manheim to play the iconic thief.

Others suggested Kathryn Hahn’s name for the role of Mother Gothel.

Many others put Zayn Malik and Taylor Zakhar Perez’s names in the ring to take on the role of the notorious thief.

Selena Gomez’s fans are in uproar over recent rumors that producer Benny Blanco could be joining the upcoming Disney movie ‘Tangled’. The pop star’s loyal fanbase has taken to social media to express their disappointment and frustration, with many feeling that Blanco’s involvement could overshadow Gomez’s performance in the film.

One fan tweeted, “Selena deserves to shine in ‘Tangled’ without any distractions or competition. Benny Blanco needs to stay away!” Another fan wrote, “I will boycott ‘Tangled’ if Benny Blanco ruins Selena’s moment. She deserves better.”

While neither Gomez nor Blanco have confirmed or denied the rumors, it’s clear that fans are fiercely protective of the singer and want to see her succeed in her acting endeavors. Only time will tell if Blanco will indeed be joining the cast of ‘Tangled’, but one thing is certain – Selena Gomez’s fans will be watching closely and holding him accountable for any impact he may have on the film.

  • The celebrities joining game show reboot

The iconic game show Hollywood Squares is back with a new look, a new center square and a new host. Nate Burleson, the CBS Mornings host, former NFL wide receiver and current analyst for CBS will take over hosting duties for the comedy trivia show. Actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore will be the new game anchor as the center square.

Hollywood Squares debuted in 1966 and ran until 1980. It was brought back in 1983, and then again from 1986-1989 and 1998-2004. Burleson is the show’s fourth host, joining Peter Marshall, John Davidson and Tom Bergeron.

It’s a simple tic-tac-toe premise, with contestants going head-to-head to answer questions and attempt to win the board by agreeing with a rotating cast of celebrity participants. This reboot features actors, comedians and even a dog puppet as part of the cast. Here’s a few of the celebrities you can expect to see this season.

  • Washington’s basketball coach has big concerns about Maryland, and a former Terp joining his roster

Washington’s basketball coach has big concerns about Maryland, and a former Terp joining his roster

That two-game mini-Big Ten schedule early in the season didn’t fully introduce the conference’s West Coast additions, who stayed in their region and played each other. Now, with the Big Ten’s full slate arriving, they’ll begin competing with longstanding Big Ten teams. It’ll be an interesting stylistic clash, pitting teams accustomed to the Pac 12’s finesse and speed against opponents chiseled by the Big Ten’s physicality.

That’s a concern for Danny Sprinkle, whose Washington team hosts Maryland tonight.

“They’re going to see a totally different body type than they’ve seen in the Pac-12, and the West Coast for that matter … You’re going to see some big, physical hogs, man. I mean on every team. It’s going to be smash-mouth basketball. It really is,” Sprinkle said. “They’re great, but that’s what you deal with in the Big Ten.”

Sprinkle was asked about the matchup between star Maryland freshman Derik Queen and Washington center Great Osobor, who leads Washington in scoring (14.2 points per game), rebounds (8.7), assists (3.6) and steals (2.1).

Maryland Basketball Recruiting: Local guard excited by Gillespie role, location and Terps’ coaching staff

“Queen, if he’s not the best freshman, he’s one of them,” Sprinkle said. “Enjoy him this year, because he’ll be in the NBA next year. He’s that good. He’s a monster.”

Washington, ranked No. 77 by KenPom, is averaging the second-fewest points per game in the Big Ten (74.6). Maryland is averaging the third-most (87.2) and its plus-27.1 point per game margin is No. 1 in college basketball.

“We have to do a great job at taking care of the basketball … They feed off turnovers, and if you turn the ball over, you’re going to get blown out,” Sprinkle said. “We have to do a great job of getting shots on the rim and controlling the tempo. If you try to play fast with them, you’re in trouble. And the analytics show that, too.”

Maryland and Washington have little in common. They’re separated by 2,300 miles and have never played each other. But there are a few recruiting connections. Injured fifth-year Washington big man Franck Kepnang, who began his career at Oregon, was once a top Maryland recruiting target. And former Maryland forward Mady Traore, averaging more than 17 points and 10 rebounds per game for Frank Phillips Community College, signed with the Huskies in December.

“He’s a 6-11, like, electric athlete,” Sprinkle said in November. “He brings dynamic athleticism and size and length, which we need,”

Washington’s Head Basketball Coach, Mike Hopkins, has big concerns about Maryland as the two teams prepare to face off in an upcoming game. Not only is Maryland a formidable opponent on the court, but Hopkins is also anxiously awaiting the addition of a former Terp to his roster.

The former Terp in question is none other than standout forward, Jalen Smith. Smith, who declared for the NBA draft after a successful college career at Maryland, has recently decided to return to school and transfer to Washington. This news has sparked excitement among fans and players alike, but Hopkins knows that integrating a new player into the team can present challenges.

“I have no doubt that Jalen will bring a lot to our team with his talent and experience,” Hopkins said in a recent press conference. “But we need to make sure we’re all on the same page and working together as a cohesive unit. It’s going to take some time to adjust and build chemistry, especially with such a short timeline before our game against Maryland.”

Despite his concerns, Hopkins is confident in his team’s ability to rise to the occasion and compete at a high level. With the addition of Smith, Washington’s roster is looking stronger than ever, and they are eager to prove themselves against a tough opponent like Maryland.

As the game approaches, all eyes will be on Hopkins and his team as they navigate the challenges of integrating a new player and taking on a formidable opponent. Stay tuned for what is sure to be an exciting matchup between Washington and Maryland.
