Aaron Judge, wife Samantha Bracksieck expecting first child

Congratulations are in order for Yankees slugger Aaron Judge and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck.

The couple is expecting their first child together, with the two set to welcome a girl to the family, Page Six reported Thursday.

Judge and Bracksieck, who are very private about their relationship, tied the knot at the Montage Kapalua Bay resort in Hawaii in December 2021.

They started dating during their high school years in Linden, Calif., and later reunited at Fresno State University.

The longtime couple has a lot to celebrate after Judge swatted 58 home runs in the regular season on his way to winning the coveted American League MVP in 2024.

Bracksieck, along with other wives and girlfriends of players, traveled to Los Angeles for the first two games of the World Series, as seen in a group photo posted by Amy Cole, the wife of Yankees ace Gerrit Cole.

The Yankees WAGs, who were joined by some of their kids and dogs, donned matching “New York” hats while they posed together in front of a team bus.

In the photo, Bracksieck held her adorable dog, Gus, a dachshund she and Judge got in the 2022 offseason.

Despite the epic season, Judge finished the campaign on a disappointing note.

The 32-year-old struggled throughout the postseason as the Yankees fell in five games to the Dodgers in the World Series, with Judge dropping a crucial fly ball in Game 5 that opened the door for a Los Angeles comeback.

But with the team making numerous additions this offseason, the Yankees and Judge should be primed for another run in the AL.

Exciting news for New York Yankees star Aaron Judge and his wife Samantha Bracksieck! The couple has announced that they are expecting their first child together. Judge, known for his powerful hits on the baseball field, is now gearing up for a new role as a father. • Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Accuser Can Remain Anonymous in Lawsuit, Judge Rules

Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Accuser Can Remain Anonymous in Lawsuit, Judge Rules

A woman who alleges Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs sexually assaulted her in 2000, when she was 13 years old, does not have to reveal her identity, a judge ruled on Thursday, Dec. 26.

The woman, who filed her lawsuit under the name Jane Doe, alleged she was raped after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty 24 years ago. She first sued Combs in October, and two months later amended her complaint, adding Jay-Z (whose legal name is Shawn Carter).

In response, Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, filed a motion to strike the complaint, stating the filing should be dismissed if the accuser does not reveal her identity. U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres denied the motion on Thursday.

“Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client,” wrote Judge Torres in her ruling, per court docs obtained by PEOPLE.

“The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it,” Judge Torres added.

She noted that Jay-Z’s attorney Spiro said he “intend[ed]” to “immediately” file the motion to strike the amended complaint but he failed to give Doe the required five days to respond.

“This is unacceptable,” wrote Judge Analisa Torres.

PEOPLE reached out to Spiro for a comment but have not received a response at this time.

“The coordinated and desperate efforts to attack me as counsel for alleged victims are falling flat,” Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing Jay-Z’s accuser tells PEOPLE.

In Spiro’s previous court filing, he urged the judge to require the woman to “reveal her identity if she wants to continue the lawsuit,” the Associated Press reported.

Spiro wrote in part, “Mr. Carter deserves to know the identity of the person who is effectively accusing him — in sensationalized, publicity-hunting fashion — of criminal conduct, demanding massive financial compensation, and tarnishing a reputation earned over decades,” according to the AP.

On Dec. 13, the accuser acknowledged in an interview with NBC News that she “made mistakes” and her recollection of the incident has “inconsistencies.” However, she stands by her allegations that Combs and Jay-Z allegedly raped her.

“You should always advocate for yourself and be a voice for yourself,” the now 38-year-old woman told NBC News. “You should never let what somebody else did ruin or run your life. I just hope I can give others the strength to come forward like I came forward.”

PEOPLE reached out to a representative for Combs for comment.

In a recent court decision, it has been ruled that the accuser of Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs can remain anonymous in their lawsuit against the two music moguls. The judge’s ruling allows the accuser to proceed with their case without revealing their identity to the public, ensuring their privacy and protection throughout the legal process.

This decision comes as a victory for the accuser, who may have faced backlash or scrutiny for coming forward with their allegations against such high-profile figures. By allowing them to remain anonymous, the court is recognizing the importance of protecting the privacy and safety of individuals who speak out against powerful individuals in the entertainment industry.

As the case moves forward, it will be interesting to see how this ruling impacts the proceedings and whether it sets a precedent for future cases involving allegations against celebrities. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

Jay-Z’s lawyer warned by judge over ‘inappropriate’ actions as Sean Combs faces fresh lawsuit | Ents & Arts News

The judge overseeing the case of a woman who says she was raped by Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs when she was 13 has criticised the “inappropriate” behaviour of Jay-Z’s lawyer.

In a written order, Judge Analisa Torres hit out at Alex Spiro for what she described as his combative motions and “inflammatory language” against the plaintiff’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee.

Mr Spiro – who has been acting for Jay-Z for around three weeks – previously called for the Alabama woman’s identity to be revealed. She is currently identified only as “Jane Doe”, a US legal term to say she is anonymous.

The Manhattan judge has said she can proceed anonymously at this stage but may be required to reveal her identity at a later date.

Combs remains in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He has pleaded not guilty.

He is facing a wave of sexual assault lawsuits, many of which were filed by Texas lawyer Mr Buzbee, who says his firm represents more than 150 people, both men and women, alleging sexual abuse and exploitation by Combs.

The lawsuits allege many individuals were abused at parties in New York, California and Florida after being given drugged drinks.

Combs’ lawyers have dismissed Mr Buzbee’s lawsuits as “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr Combs”.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Sean Carter, previously said in a statement that Mr Buzbee was trying to blackmail him to settle the plaintiff’s allegations.

Mr Buzbee said in an email that his firm does not comment on court rulings.

In her lawsuit, the woman claims Jay-Z and Sean Combs raped her when she was 13 after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.

Both men strenuously deny the allegations.

Mr Spiro has previously asked the judge to dismiss Jay-Z from the woman’s lawsuit.

Citing an interview the plaintiff did with Sky’s US partner NBC News, Mr Spiro wrote that the broadcast revealed “glaring inconsistencies and outright impossibilities” in the plaintiff’s story.

The woman has admitted inconsistencies, saying she had “made some mistakes”, but standing by her allegations overall.

Judge Torres wrote in her order on Thursday that Mr Spiro had submitted a “litany of letters and motions attempting to impugn the character of Plaintiff’s lawyer, many of them expounding on the purported ‘urgency’ of this case”.

She added: “Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client. The court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it.”

She said Mr Spiro – who had accused the plaintiff’s lawyer of having a “chronic inability to follow the rules” – had failed to follow the rules himself. She warned him against future “unacceptable” behaviour.

Sky News has contacted Mr Spiro for comment.

    Sean Combs faces fresh lawsuit

Meanwhile, in a new lawsuit filed on 20 December, a woman has accused Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2006 at a New York party, which she attended after winning a radio station contest.

The woman, who was 23 at the time, said she felt sick and fell unconscious after being served two premade drinks by waitresses, later waking up in hospital with a ripped shirt, missing underwear and shoes, and no recollection of how she got there.

The suit said the woman was left with pain in her vagina for around a week, which she believed was from rough intercourse.

She also said an unknown woman with a New York number later called her, allegedly threatening her to keep quiet.

Combs’ attorney has called the allegations “pure fiction”.

As well as Combs, the woman is also suing Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings, which Combs founded; Atlantic Records, which she said facilitated the event; Mike Savas, a promoter for Atlantic at the time; Delta Airlines, which flew her to New York; KKJamz 105.3, the radio station she said held the contest; and the Roger Smith Hotel, where she stayed.

Ten “John and Jane Does” are also listed as defendants.

In a recent legal development, Jay-Z’s lawyer has been warned by a judge over ‘inappropriate’ actions as Sean Combs faces a fresh lawsuit. The judge reprimanded Jay-Z’s lawyer for their behavior in court, highlighting the need for professionalism and respect in legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, Sean Combs is facing a new lawsuit, adding to the legal woes of the music industry heavyweight. The details of the lawsuit are still emerging, but it is sure to be a challenging time for Combs as he navigates the legal system.

Stay tuned for more updates on these legal matters as they unfold. In the meantime, it serves as a reminder of the importance of conducting oneself with integrity and respect in all professional dealings.

  • Jay-Z’s sexual assault accuser can remain anonymous for now: judge

Jay-Z’s sexual assault accuser can remain anonymous for now: judge

New York Judge Analisa Torres has ruled that the woman who is accusing Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping her when she was 13 years old can remain anonymous for now.

On Thursday, Torres ruled that Jane Doe can remain anonymous, but reserved the right to revisit the decision at a future date. If the case continues, Jane Doe may be required to reveal her identity, according to the court document obtained by Fox News Digital. Torres also noted that there’s “substantial interest” from the public regarding this case.

The judge also addressed the lawyers for Jay-Z (whose legal name is Shawn Carter) specifically in the court document.

“Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client,” Torres said, referring to Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro.

“The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it,” she continued.

Earlier this month, the music mogul filed a motion to dismiss the rape lawsuit. He also requested the court deny the plaintiff’s request to proceed anonymously. Jay-Z was accused of raping a minor along with Diddy at an MTV VMAs after-party in 2000, documents stated.

In his motion to dismiss, Jay-Z accused Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, who is the attorney representing Jane Doe, of running a “sprawling extortion saga — saga whose aim is base and measured in dollars.”

On Thursday, Buzbee told Fox News Digital, “The repeated attempts to discredit and smear the advocate for alleged victims is a failing strategy.”

“Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client.”

    — New York Judge Analisa Torres

Spiro did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

On Dec. 16, Spiro spoke at Roc Nation’s headquarters in New York and said that the accusations against Jay-Z are “provably, demonstrably false.”

Spiro referenced NBC News’ recent interview with the unnamed Alabama woman admitting to making “some mistakes” when it came to recounting what happened at the VMAs after-party.

Spiro wanted to make it known that these inconsistencies “are not minor… If you look at the time, it’s not possible this could happen.”

“I want to make sure this is clear: When people make up an account, whether intentionally or their mind is blank or something, they can always get that core part of the story right. They can just keep repeating it over and over and over again; this is what happened, that core part. But they’re always going to mess up the details. When something isn’t real, when something doesn’t happen, you’re going to get the details wrong because you weren’t really there,” Spiro said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“[This was] not possible. It’s because this never happened,” he added.

“He’s upset that somebody would be allowed to do this, would be allowed to make a mockery of the system like this. He’s upset that this distracts and dissuades real victims from coming forward. He’s upset that his kids and family have to deal with this. And he should be upset,” he said.

In a recent court ruling, a judge has granted Jay-Z’s sexual assault accuser the right to remain anonymous for the time being. The accuser, who has accused the rapper of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room, had requested to keep her identity confidential due to fears of retaliation and harassment.

The judge’s decision to allow the accuser to remain anonymous is a win for survivors of sexual assault who often face backlash and scrutiny when coming forward with their allegations. It is important that survivors feel safe and supported when speaking out about their experiences, and this ruling sets a precedent for protecting their privacy and well-being.

As the case continues to unfold, it is crucial that the accuser’s anonymity is respected and upheld. Regardless of the outcome, it is important that survivors are given the space and support to come forward and seek justice for the harm they have endured.

We stand with all survivors of sexual assault and believe that their voices deserve to be heard and their identities protected. Let’s continue to support and uplift survivors as they navigate the difficult journey of seeking justice and healing. #BelieveSurvivors #MeToo
