Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road.
The Gunners were anticipated to secure a comfortable victory against Wolves, but they were made to work hard for the result.
Referee Michael Oliver had a major part to play. He sent off Myles Lewis-Skelly before the half-time interval for a tactical foul.
Despite being a man down, Arsenal were the better side after the break and got an advantage of their own with Joao Gomes’ red card.
Gomes should have been sent off earlier in the half for kicking the ball away. He was eventually handed his second yellow card for a reckless challenge on Jurrien Timber.
Riccardo Calafiori scored the winner in the 74th minute with a terrific first-time shot, but Arsenal should have won the game by a significant margin.
Kai Havertz squandered two clear-cut chances during the opening half. He missed out on another golden opportunity shortly after the hour mark.
Aside from this, the German had a passing accuracy of 43 percent with six successful passes. He lost 11 out of 20 duels, losing possession 16 times.
Havertz has had a good second year at Arsenal with 14 goals. He has already matched his tally from his debut campaign at the London giants.
Despite this, more is expected from a centre-forward leading the line for the Gunners.
Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke must spend on a marquee striker during the ongoing transfer window to keep the club’s league title hopes alive this term.
Havertz’s poor day up front did not cost the Gunners, but they can’t afford the same at the busy end of the season if they want to challenge Liverpool.

Arsenal need to invest in new striker after Kai Havertz’s struggles vs Wolves
After a disappointing performance from Kai Havertz in Arsenal’s recent match against Wolves, it has become clear that the Gunners are in desperate need of a new striker. The young German forward has failed to live up to expectations since his big-money move from Bayer Leverkusen, and fans are growing increasingly frustrated with his lackluster performances.
With Arsenal struggling to find the back of the net on a consistent basis, it is clear that they need to bring in a proven goal scorer to lead the line. A new striker would not only provide competition for Havertz but also give the team a much-needed boost in attack.
While Arsenal have a talented squad, they have been lacking a clinical finisher up top. Bringing in a new striker would not only address this issue but also provide the team with a much-needed injection of quality and confidence.
It is crucial that Arsenal act quickly to address their striker woes if they are to have any hope of challenging for a top-four finish this season. The time to invest in a new striker is now, and the Gunners must not hesitate to make a move in the January transfer window.

In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Kai Havertz was lying crumpled on the turf in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ half after a challenge by Santiago Bueno as Mikel Arteta urgently instructed his other Arsenal players to drop back into shape to protect a 1-0 lead.
It was unclear whether Havertz was playing for time or simply hurt, but by the 96th minute — when the Germany forward rose, limped towards the halfway line and then collapsed on to the grass upon hearing the full-time whistle — it was obvious he was spent.
For his efforts in ensuring Arsenal remain in the title race, he was embraced warmly by Arteta, the Arsenal manager, who stood on tiptoes as he wrapped his arms around the 25-year-old.
Arteta pushed for Havertz to be recruited for £65million in June 2023, mainly because he was fascinated by the player’s physical qualities, spatial awareness and versatility, believing that he was capable of playing as a midfielder.
Havertz has not quite delivered on that promise, nor the hype he carried when he left Bayer Leverkusen for Chelsea in 2020. For that reason he has divided opinion, particularly as Arsenal’s attack smoulders unconvincingly, and clamour grows for a striker with a spark.
There are legitimate criticisms of Havertz, who has predominantly been deployed as a striker this year. Of his 14 goals this season, only one has come against high-quality opposition: Paris Saint-Germain.
Against Tottenham Hotspur (twice), Manchester City, Manchester United (twice), Liverpool, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Newcastle United (twice), he has failed to score.
Arteta is appreciative of all the unsung work Havertz does off the ball
DAVID PRICE/ARSENAL FC/GETTY
Havertz averages only 2.47 shots per game, with 0.98 of those hitting the target; a striker that tests the goalkeeper once a match is hardly going to propel a team towards a league title, critics say.
These efforts are often high-quality chances — take the close-range header he directed at José Sá in the first half against Wolves, or the header at the near post that flashed the wrong side of the woodwork in the second half — reflected in his expected-goals tally of 0.19 per shot — higher than Mohamed Salah (0.17), equal with Erling Haaland and a touch behind the league’s most in-form striker, Alexander Isak (0.21).
But a critical difference between them and Havertz is that they shoot (and hit the target) more frequently.
Of the players in the league with as many goals as Havertz (eight) or more this season, only three average a lower shot rate — Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap — all of whom play for teams who cannot provide a constant supply line.
Yet for all the focus on Havertz, his team-mates in the forward line, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, did not have a single shot on goal against Wolves either. However, as a defensive unit, they were formidable.
If there is one quality that defines Arteta’s Arsenal it is their intensity without possession. Upon losing the ball, and with an opponent breaking forward, Arsenal surge towards their penalty area, forcing opponents into a cul-de-sac, blocking their route to goal with a mass of bodies.
While the attack may not be functioning as efficiently as hoped, Arsenal’s defensive work is keeping alive their title dreams, and it starts from the front, with Havertz.
When Arsenal were reduced to ten men on Saturday, after Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card before half-time, Havertz had the thankless task of pressing Wolves’ centre backs on his own.
With three central defenders and two midfielders behind him, it was physically taxing and tactically demanding — he needed to keep abreast of the positioning and passing angles of the midfielders while harrying the defenders.
Yet Wolves, with an additional man, rarely penetrated Arsenal through the middle, thanks largely to Havertz’s tireless work.
One example of Havertz’s often underappreciated contributions came in the 53rd minute. Wolves had a free kick in their own half. They played short and Havertz kicked into gear. First, he screened a potential pass into André, forcing the ball back towards Bueno, whom he closed down.
As the ball circulated wide, Trossard ran forward, blocked the long pass upfield, and Havertz contested the second ball — collected by Thomas Partey. In less than a second the German was running at the Wolves defence, creating space for Declan Rice to run into the penalty area and shoot.
Rice benefits from the space that Havertz creates with his intelligent movement
ANDREW KEARNS/CAMERASPORT /GETTY
Havertz did not touch the ball in the entire sequence, yet he was critical to it. That endeavour is not easily replaced; a new striker may add shots and goals, but will they ensure the team remain near-impregnable, even with only ten men?
Arsenal’s past two title challenges have been built upon defending from the front; remove Havertz from that and opponents will sense opportunity. Deduct Havertz from Arsenal’s set pieces and they lose a key aerial threat and a critical defensive component.
Subtract him from the team in open play and those wonderful arced crosses that Bukayo Saka delivers to the back post are suddenly a touch less threatening without the 6ft 3in German heading the ball back across goal for a team-mate.
A new striker may have finished those chances Havertz spurned, but the key question is: can they improve the team as much as he does?
With Arsenal’s current struggles in front of goal, the addition of Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz could be the solution they desperately need. The 21-year-old German midfielder has been turning heads with his impressive performances and goal-scoring ability, and his versatility could provide a much-needed spark for the Gunners.
Havertz’s ability to play as a striker, attacking midfielder, or winger would give Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta the freedom to experiment with different formations and tactics. His clinical finishing and creativity in the final third could help Arsenal break down stubborn defenses and convert their chances more consistently.
Without Havertz, Arsenal’s attacking options look limited, and they have struggled to find the back of the net in recent games. The young German could be the missing piece in their puzzle and could help propel them back up the Premier League table.
If Arsenal want to compete for a top-four finish and challenge for trophies, signing Kai Havertz could be a game-changer. Losing out on him could leave them lost without a reliable striker, and their season could suffer as a result. Arsenal must act fast to secure his signature before it’s too late.

Every battle has led to this. Netflix drops a sneak peek at the final episodes of Cobra Kai season 6, which will premiere next month.
Netflix’s Cobra Kai will end in two weeks after six seasons, and the streaming service has released a new sneak peek clip from the final five episodes. They also dropped a few new photos, which you can check out below!
The synopsis for the final episodes reads: “After a shocking result in the Sekai Taikai, Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai must reckon with their pasts while facing an uncertain future both on and off the mat. Almost 40 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, it’s all been leading to this.“
I’ll admit to turning up my nose at the series’ concept when it was first announced. A Karate Kid spinoff series on YouTube? Nah. Imagine my surprise when the series not only turned out to be great but kept raising the bar season after season.
Although Cobra Kai is coming to an end, it won’t be the last we see of Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso. He’s set to reprise the role in Karate Kid: Legends, where he will star alongside the one and only Jackie Chan. “After a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City with his mother,” reads the official synopsis. “Li struggles to let go of his past as he tries to fit in with his new classmates, and although he doesn’t want to fight, trouble seems to find him everywhere. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition – but his skills alone aren’t enough. Li’s kung fu teacher Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) enlists original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) for help, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging their two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.” Karate Kid: Legends will hit theaters on May 30, 2025.
Cobra Kai creators Hayden Schlossberg, Josh Heald, and Jon Hurwitz have also been considering more spinoffs, including a prequel series centered on Mr. Miyagi. However, nothing is official.
The final five episodes of Cobra Kai season 6 will debut on Netflix on February 13th.

Fans of Cobra Kai were dreading this moment, and Netflix even spread out Season 6 in three parts in order for us to stick to Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and his pupils for a while longer. But there’s no escaping it. In just a couple of weeks, the final episodes of the show will drop on the streamer, and today the streaming giant unveiled some first-look images and a sneak peek, so we can start preparing our hearts to say “strike first, strike hard” one last time.
The images make it clear that Cobra Kai won’t shy away from emotional moments in its final episodes. One of them features LaRusso face to face with his daughter Sam (Mary Mouser) getting ready to practice a little in the Miyagi-Do. The images also bring the cast back to All Valley after an intense competition in the Sekai Taikai, which is appropriate for the series’ end. In order to put together an emotional wrap-up, we will have to go back to the series’ roots and maybe even travel back in time to when LaRusso himself was a student.
To fans’ excitement — or disappointment, depending on how you look at it — Cobra Kai‘s co-creator Hayden Schlossberg already revealed to TV Insider that “there is no big cliffhanger at the end of the last five episodes.” So, if you were waiting for a hint at possible spin-offs or a surprise reveal, it’s time to let go. Schlossberg also guaranteed that all questions will get answered, all mysteries will get solved and all the characters will reach their full arcs, and that the final episodes are designed to be a celebration of the show’s “thrilling” and “fulfilling” six-season run.
As you probably know by now, Ralph Macchio is in the main cast of Karate Kid: Legends along with Jackie Chan (Rush Hour). Even though the upcoming movie is not a direct sequel to Cobra Kai, the series will be acknowledged. LaRusso has been through a big transformation in Cobra Kai, so knowing that will help viewers understand his characters’ motivations and state of mind. However, so far, there has been no evidence of more Cobra Kai characters popping up in Karate Kid: Legends or that the story of the series will influence the blockbuster movie in any way.
Despite the farewell atmosphere, there is still a lot to be unpacked in Cobra Kai. We still have to find out the aftermath of Kwon’s (Brandon H. Lee) death at Sekai Taikai and what it will mean for karate fighters across the world, as well as what will happen with Sam, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) and Axel (Patrick Luwis). Last but certainly not least, will Kreese finally get a redemption arc — this time for real?
Netflix debuts the final five episodes of Cobra Kai on February 13. You can check out the sneak peek below and the images above:
Get ready, Cobra Kai fans! The hit Netflix series is returning home for its final episodes, and we’ve got some exciting new images and a sneak peek to share with you.
In the new images released by Netflix, we see our favorite characters back in action, including Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (played by William Zabka). The intensity and drama of the upcoming episodes are palpable, as tensions between the two dojos continue to rise.
But that’s not all – we also have a sneak peek at what’s to come in the final episodes of Cobra Kai. In the teaser, we see the stakes are higher than ever as the rivalry between the dojos reaches a boiling point. Will Daniel and Johnny be able to put aside their differences and come together to defeat their common enemy? Or will their feud ultimately tear them apart?
One thing is for sure: Cobra Kai is gearing up for an epic conclusion, and we can’t wait to see how it all plays out. So mark your calendars and get ready to binge-watch the final episodes of Cobra Kai, streaming soon on Netflix. Kai Cenat might be cool with Drake, but he is well aware that Kendrick Lamar came out on top in their scathing rap beef. On Monday (Jan. 27), the live streamer told Billboard that watching them trade diss tracks was the “most fun experience” he has ever had.
“We never experienced something like that,” Cenat told the publication. “It was a good week. Everybody had their opinions. I was literally hopping on stream and had like 60,000 viewers. As soon as they dropped, my s**t spiked to like 100,000.” Across his YouTube channel, the New York native pulled in a massive 30 million views by simply reacting to records like “euphoria,” “Family Matters,” and arguably the most popular from the feud, “Not Like Us.”
When asked who took the crown in their high-profile exchange, Cenat surprisingly sided with the Compton MC. He explained, “I’m cool with Drake. So, people would expect me to be on Drake’s side, but I’m not going to lie, Kendrick won that battle.”
He added, “It was good. I loved every second of it. I was just appreciating the moment. Like, bro, we got bangers right now that [are] dropping back-to-back, and everybody’s talking about them. It was definitely fire.” As Billboard notes, Drake reportedly blocked the streamer after his less-than-positive reaction to “THE HEART PART 6,” the last song to come out of their beef.
Earlier in the month, Cenat was among the many YouTubers named in Drake’s defamation suit against Universal Music Group. The Canadian star accused the record company of “whitelisting” Lamar’s “Not Like Us” so it could ultimately spread even further.
“What the f**k?! I’m getting sued? I was told to stay on stream! That n**gga is cap,” the Streamer of the Year winner said before quickly recognizing he wasn’t actually the one being indicted: “Oh, I’m good! So, he’s just using us as an example of [people who were] spreading misinformation type s**t? I mean, if I’m not getting sued, n**ga …”
In a recent interview with XXL Magazine, rising hip-hop artist Kai Cenat made a bold statement about the ongoing rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. According to Cenat, Lamar completely destroyed Drake in their lyrical feud.
Cenat, who has been making waves in the rap scene with his introspective lyrics and unique flow, expressed admiration for Lamar’s ability to craft intricate rhymes and deliver powerful messages through his music. He cited Lamar’s diss tracks aimed at Drake as evidence of his superior skills on the mic.
While the rivalry between Lamar and Drake has been a hot topic in the hip-hop community for years, Cenat’s declaration is sure to reignite the debate among fans. Whether you agree with him or not, there’s no denying that this rap beef has left a lasting impact on the genre.
What do you think? Do you believe Kendrick Lamar truly outshined Drake in their rap beef? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Kai Cenat is looking back on the onslaught of new music that bombarded us all at the peak of Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s historic back-and-forth last May, pinpointing the moment as a personal favorite among his still-going-strong catalog of blockbuster streaming spectacles.
Speaking with Damien Scott for a Billboard cover story interview, published Monday, Cenat—recently ranked as the No. 2 streamer by Complex, bested only by IShowSpeed—reflected on his own involvement in the debate over the swiftly delivered batch of songs fueled by the feud. As Cenat recalled, he at one point started streaming with a viewership of around 60,000 people, only for that number to jump to “like 100,000” once the diss tracks started rolling in.
“I’m cool with Drake,” Cenat said, as seen here. “So people would expect me to be on Drake’s side.”
That said, Cenat conceded that Lamar, who will soon be seen headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, should be considered the victor.
“Kendrick won that battle,” he told Billboard. “It was good. I loved every second of it. I was just appreciating the moment. Like, bro, we got bangers right now that’s dropping back to back and everybody’s talking about them.”
At this stage, Kai’s impact on the present music landscape, particularly in terms of its affect on the traditional idea of promo, is undeniable. The same could be said for streamers at large, with others in the space, like Plaqueboymax, reinventing the process entirely for new generations of listeners.
Along the way, streamers have found themselves also caught up in artist-driven feuds. Kai, for example, was at one point publicly mocked by the artist formerly known as Kanye West, with Ye calling him an “industry plant.” Ye’s feelings toward Kai have seemingly changed, however, as the two are expected to link up in Tokyo soon, potentially resulting in them doing a stream together.
Lamar is His Favorite Rapper
In a recent interview with Billboard, rising hip-hop artist Kai Cenat opened up about his thoughts on some of the biggest names in the industry. When asked about his relationship with Drake, Cenat responded by saying, “I’m cool with Drake. He’s a great artist and I have a lot of respect for him.”
However, Cenat didn’t hesitate to share his true feelings about another major player in the game. “Kendrick Lamar is my favorite rapper of all time,” he revealed. “His flow, his lyricism, his storytelling – everything about his music just speaks to me on a different level.”
It’s clear that Cenat has a deep admiration for the talent and artistry of both Drake and Kendrick Lamar, showing that he’s not afraid to give credit where credit is due in the competitive world of hip-hop. Fans can expect to hear more from this up-and-coming artist as he continues to make his mark on the industry.
