“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Cheryl Hines showed up to support her husband RFK Jr. during his confirmation hearing on Wednesday — but as the man was continually called out for lying about past statements, it started feeling a bit like an actual “Curb” episode to Jimmy Kimmel. So, he went ahead and added the theme song.
The ABC host immediately zeroed in on the hearing during his Wednesday monologue, calling out RFK Jr. for having “conveniently evolved” on issues like vaccines and abortions “since pledging allegiance to the cantaloupe-in-chief.” He also made fun of how the Health and Human Services pick tried to backpedal on his previous statements condemning those very things.
“Most of his defense today was some version of ‘I didn’t say the Moderna vaccine turned kids gay, I said it turned some of them bisexual!’” Kimmel joked.
But the host’s attention was even more drawn to Hines, who “sat quietly behind her husband as he attempted to rewrite the story of his life.” At that, Kimmel started playing clips from the hearing, in which Hines was indeed very visible behind Kennedy.
After the third clip of the man being confronted by his own past quotes that he tried to deny, the camera zoomed in on Hines and the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” song kicked in. As it played, Hines could be seen blinking rapidly and biting the inside of her cheek.
“And then there was Cheryl’s TV husband from ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ Bernie Sanders,” Kimmel joked. “Who, not only did he have a line of questioning, he brought visual aids.”
For those unfamiliar, no, Sanders wasn’t actually on “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” But Larry David, who created and starred in the series — and was indeed Hines’ TV husband — has definitely played Sanders on “SNL.”

In response to the accusations that Joe was spreading misinformation, there was a huge backlash. That scandal resulted in many people calling for Spotify to no longer publish “The Joe Rogan Experience.” However, as The Hollywood Reporter reported at the time, Spotify stuck by Joe.

Even though Jimmy defended Joe, that doesn’t mean that he was happy about how the podcaster handled the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since Joe Rogan’s comments about COVID-19 inspired outrage, many people have changed their views about his comments. Most notably, many of his fans have since concluded that Joe’s stance has been vindicated.
Instead, Jimmy went on to state during the podcast episode that he wished that people like Joe were more responsible while talking about the virus.
“I wish people would pay attention to the facts and I wish people were just consistent.”
At that point, Jimmy wasn’t done talking about how irresponsible he believed Joe had been.

“I know people who trust what he says, and I personally know people who have put themselves in danger because he minimized the importance of vaccines.”

Even though Jimmy was critical of Joe’s comments, he wasn’t done defending the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Even though he had been a staunch supporter of the COVID-19 vaccine, Jimmy admitted that the matter wasn’t cut and dry while he was talking about Joe’s comments.
I also know that it’s not as black and white as sometimes the media makes it out to be.
Joe Rogan Once Said He Was Siding With Jimmy Kimmel Despite Their Feud
In January 2024, Jimmy Kimmel and Aaron Rodgers were embroiled in one of the nastiest celebrity feuds of all-time. At that time, Jimmy and Aaron had a disagreement about the much-talked about Jeffrey Epstein list. It was widely reported that Aaron had suggested that he believed that Jimmy would be on the list linked to the revolting crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein.

In response, Joe told Aaron that he previously believed that he’d accused Jimmy of being involved with the criminal’s revolting actions. Since the argument between Jimmy and Aaron was based around those comments, that meant that Joe initially sided with the talk show host.

It has to be noted, however, that Joe also took some time out to speak about his issues with Jimmy when he was talking to Aaron. Joe explained that he really wanted to ask Jimmy about the talk show host once joking that unvaccinated people shouldn’t be treated immediately in hospitals.
To Joe and Jimmy’s credit, both men were willing to defend each other when their principles demanded that. However, since Joe and Jimmy have both repeatedly criticized each other, it remains clear that they still don’t see eye-to-eye.

Despite their past disagreements and public spats, Jimmy Kimmel recently came to the defense of Joe Rogan, the popular podcaster and comedian.
