  • Did George Kittle Crushing Beers Just Become The Predators Good Luck Charm?

It has been a rough season for the Nashville Predators, but it’s nothing San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and a nice, $15 arena brewski can’t solve.

The Preds have been in the middle of a nightmare season, despite a busy offseason that had some (*sheepishly raises hand*) thinking they could be one of the contenders in the Central Division.

However, this is a franchise that needs a little bit of magic to get rolling. Remember last season? They ripped through the spring after canceling plans to see a U2 concert at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

Well, I think we may have found something to kickstart the team and give them a little mojo for another run down the stretch.

The aforementioned Kittle spends his offseasons in Music City, and he’s a big Predators fan. He was on hand to watch them take on the Chicago Blackhawks (one of the few teams in hockey worse than them) on Thursday night.

The game was scoreless in the first period when the Predators went on a power play. They set up shop and worked the puck over to Steven Stamkos who did his thing and rifled a puck into the back of the net from his office.

But here’s where it gets weird…

You know how you can sync up Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon to The Wizard of Oz?

Well, in a similar fashion, this power play goal synced up to George Kittle Crushing a beer in the stands.

That was magic. No other explanation.

I’ve seen a lot of beers get chugged at games. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one practically end up on the scoresheet like that.

The team should have been throwing beers at Kittle all night long because this game ended up being a bit close, but the Predators managed to win it in a shootout.

In a shocking turn of events, it seems that San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle may have inadvertently become the Nashville Predators’ good luck charm.

During a recent game between the Predators and the Chicago Blackhawks, Kittle was spotted in the stands crushing beers and getting the crowd fired up. As the game progressed, the Predators mounted an impressive comeback and ultimately secured a thrilling overtime victory.

Since then, fans have been speculating whether Kittle’s presence and beer-crushing antics could be the key to the Predators’ success. Could it be that his infectious energy and enthusiasm are rubbing off on the team, giving them the boost they need to win?

While it may be too early to say for sure, one thing is certain: George Kittle’s newfound role as the Predators’ good luck charm is definitely something to keep an eye on. Who knows, maybe we’ll see him at more games in the future, leading the charge and cheering on the team to victory.

Kittle, Warner and Two More 49ers Players Selected to 2025 Pro Bowl Games

The San Francisco 49ers announced that DL Nick Bosa, FB Kyle Juszczyk, TE George Kittle and LB Fred Warner were selected to the 2025 Pro Bowl. In addition, DL Leonard Floyd, DB Deommodore Lenoir, QB Brock Purdy and T Trent Williams were selected as alternates.

Nick Bosa earns his fifth overall and fourth-consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl (2020, 2022-25).

In 13 games this season (all starts), he has registered 52 tackles, a team-high 9.0 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed. His 9.0 sacks on the season are tied for the fifth-most in the NFC and give him 62.5 in his career, which is the third-most in franchise history.

A 12-year veteran who signed with the 49ers as a free agent in 2017, Kyle Juszczyk earns his ninth-consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl (2017-25) and eighth straight as a member of the 49ers. His nine Pro Bowl selections extend his record for the most ever by a fullback. In 16 games this season (14 starts), he has notched 17 receptions for 151 yards (8.9 average) and one touchdown through the air to go along with five carries for 26 yards and one touchdown on the ground. His 151 receiving yards are the most among fullbacks this season.

George Kittle earns his sixth overall and fourth-consecutive Pro Bowl selection (2019-20, 2022-25). In 14 games this season (all starts), he has registered 76 receptions for 1,079 yards (14.2 average) and eight touchdowns. Among NFL tight ends, Kittle ranks fifth in receptions, third in receiving yards, second in yards per reception and second in receiving touchdowns. His eight receiving touchdowns are the most among NFC tight ends. He has also registered four games with 100-or-more receiving yards this season, the most by any tight end in the NFL. Kittle’s 1,079 receiving yards mark his fourth career and second-consecutive 1,000-yard season. His four career 1,000-yard seasons are the third-most in franchise history and tied for the second-most by a tight end in NFL history.

Fred Warner earns the fourth overall and third-consecutive Pro Bowl selection of his career (2021, 2023-25). In 16 games this season (all starts), he has registered 123 tackles, 1.0 sack, seven passes defensed, four forced fumbles and two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown. His 123 tackles mark his seventh-consecutive season with 115-or-more tackles, making him one of two players since at least 2000 to register 115-or-more tackles in their first seven seasons in the NFL.

The San Francisco 49ers continue to dominate the NFL as four of their star players have been selected to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. Tight end George Kittle, linebacker Fred Warner, and two more 49ers players have been recognized for their outstanding performances this season.

Kittle, known for his elite pass-catching abilities and physicality, has once again proven why he is one of the best tight ends in the league. Warner, the heart and soul of the 49ers defense, has been a force to be reckoned with on the field, leading the team in tackles and making game-changing plays.

In addition to Kittle and Warner, two more 49ers players have been selected to the Pro Bowl Games, showcasing the depth and talent of the team. These players have been instrumental in the 49ers’ success this season and their recognition is well-deserved.

As the 49ers gear up for the playoffs, having four players selected to the Pro Bowl Games is a testament to the team’s strength and competitiveness. Congratulations to Kittle, Warner, and their teammates on this well-deserved honor. #GoNiners #ProBowlBound

  • George Kittle hopes to break Terrell Owens’ 49ers receiving records – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

George Kittle hopes to break Terrell Owens’ 49ers receiving records – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

SANTA CLARA — Tight end George Kittle has one season remaining on his contract with the 49ers, and that might be all he needs to reach a couple of his goals.

But he made it clear he does not want his time with the 49ers to end there.

Kittle on Friday said he wants to eclipse Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens to rank No. 2 on the 49ers’ all-time lists of receptions and yards receiving.

“I don’t think I’ll ever catch Jerry Rice on anything,” Kittle said. “But that’s totally fine. I’m OK with that. I don’t want to play that long.”

Kittle currently ranks third in franchise history, behind Rice and Owens, with 528 receptions for 7,241 receiving yards.

In eight seasons with San Francisco, Owens caught 592 passes for 8,572 yards.

Kittle is one of the few star players on the 49ers who is living up to expectations this season as San Francisco staggers toward the finish line with a 6-9 record.

He leads the team with 68 catches for 967 yards and eight touchdowns.

Kittle is within striking distance of Owens. He said his annual goal is to catch around 75 passes for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.

With 33 yards receiving in the final two games of the season, Kittle will reach 1,000 yards for the fourth time in his career.

The only other tight ends in NFL history to accomplish that feat are Travis Kelce (seven), and Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski and Jason Witten (four, apiece).

Kittle is on pace for the Pro Football Hall of Fame through this stage in his career. But he said he does not look at where he stands among the all-time greats at his position.

“I’ll look back on that whenever I’m done playing. It is what it is,” Kittle said. “I’m just very excited I’ve got to spend eight years with the San Francisco 49ers, hopefully continue to play here because it’s a storied franchise, and hopefully I can eventually catch T.O.“

The 49ers will face a decision with Kittle, 31, in the offseason. He has one season remaining on the five-year, $75 million contract he signed prior to the 2020 season. He is scheduled to make $15 million in salary and bonuses in 2025.

It would be a reasonable demand for his representation to push for a contract extension in the offseason to add more years and guaranteed money to his contract.

Kittle declined to address that topic on Friday.

“You can ask me that in the offseason,” he said.

He said he wants to continue to play football until the wheels fall off or his wife tells him it’s time to retire. Kittle also made it clear that he wishes to remain with the 49ers for at least several seasons to come.

“I love where I’m at,” said Kittle, a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. “It’s a great place.”

San Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle is setting his sights on breaking Terrell Owens’ receiving records for the team. Kittle, who has quickly become one of the most dynamic offensive weapons in the NFL, is determined to etch his name in the history books alongside one of the greatest receivers to ever don the red and gold.

Owens, who played for the 49ers from 1996 to 2003, holds several franchise records for receiving, including most receiving yards in a single season (1,451) and most receiving touchdowns in a single season (16). Kittle, who has already made a name for himself with his elite pass-catching ability and incredible athleticism, is hoping to surpass Owens’ impressive numbers and leave his own mark on the storied franchise.

With a strong work ethic and a relentless drive to succeed, Kittle has proven that he has what it takes to rewrite the record books. Despite facing constant double teams and tough defenses, the Pro Bowl tight end has continued to put up impressive numbers and establish himself as a key player for the 49ers.

As he enters the upcoming season with his sights set on breaking Owens’ records, Kittle remains humble and focused on helping his team win games. With his combination of speed, strength, and hands, there’s no doubt that he has the potential to achieve his goal and solidify his place in 49ers history.

Fans can expect to see Kittle continue to dominate on the field and make a strong push towards surpassing Owens’ records. With his talent and determination, the sky’s the limit for this young star as he looks to etch his name alongside the all-time greats in San Francisco 49ers history.
