  • Rams’ Cooper Kupp: ‘I will be playing football next year, that much I know’

LOS ANGELES — Star receiver Cooper Kupp is certain he will be playing football in 2025, but also indicated Monday during the Los Angeles Rams’ locker clean-out that the “where” is not necessarily up to him.

“Who knows what is going to happen?” he said. “A lot of stuff is out of my control. We’ll see (what) it’s going to be. There was obviously stuff that was going on early in the season and we’ll see. I don’t have any clarity on what that’s gonna look like. Obviously would love to be in L.A. but I don’t know what that is gonna look like.”

Kupp was referring to the Rams’ conversations about him with other teams ahead of this season’s trade deadline. The 31-year-old receiver and former triple crown winner has been with the franchise his entire career after they drafted him in the third round in 2017.

“Do I want to play next year? Oh yeah,” he added, laughing. “There’s no doubt in my mind I want to play football. I feel like I’ve got a lot of good football left in me. I definitely will be playing — I will be playing football next year. That much I know.”

Kupp finished the regular season with 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. His targets dwindled during the back stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs. He had four catches on nine targets over the last three regular-season games, was targeted once for one catch against Minnesota in the wild-card round and caught five passes on seven targets against the Eagles on Sunday. In his 14 games (including the postseason), Kupp had 10 or more targets just four times and eight or more targets six times.

“For me personally, feeling like ‘man, there’s things I’m watching (on) film and feeling good about the football I’m playing,’ but production-wise it’s not showing up,” he said.

“A lot of stuff is outside of my control and it is frustrating. But at the same time, we’re finding ways along that stretch to win games. Finding ways to come out of those games with W’s. Even though it was not pretty a lot of the time offensively, we got it done. So yeah, there’s frustration there. Obviously you want — I want — to be able to feel like I’m impacting games. That’s done on a much more discreet level for a lot of these games. That is what it is. But I can look back on the season and be happy with what I put on tape and the things that I was being asked to do, I feel like I was executing my job. That’s all you can do.”

In 2022, Kupp signed a three-year, $80 million contract extension with the Rams. His salary-cap numbers in 2025 and 2026 are $29.7 million and $27.3 million, respectively, with $5 million in guarantees in 2025 and none in 2026 according to Over the Cap. He also is owed roster bonuses of $12.5 million combined over the next two seasons per OTC. The $7.5 million roster bonus owed to Kupp in 2025 triggers on March 19.

Kupp also said that he is expecting to have a full and healthy offseason. He has dealt with injuries in each of the last three years, including a high ankle sprain that sidelined him for four games this year. He played in nine games in 2022, and 12 games in 2023.

“I always try to take some time, just be quiet, be still and reflect on what it was and what the season has been,” he said. “But I’m always excited. There’s always a piece of you that whenever it’s taken away (referring to the Rams’ divisional-round loss in Philadelphia), you wake up in the morning like champing at the bit. ‘Hey, we want to get back going again.’

“You just gotta fight that, because you’ve got to give yourself a chance to look back at what this season was and appreciate the work that was put in.”

Rams’ Cooper Kupp: ‘I will be playing football next year, that much I know’

Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp has reassured fans that he will be suiting up on the gridiron next year, despite rumors swirling about his future with the team.

In an interview with ESPN, Kupp stated, “I will be playing football next year, that much I know. I love this game and I love playing for the Rams. I am committed to giving my all on the field and helping this team succeed.”

Kupp’s declaration comes amidst speculation that he could be a free agent this offseason, with some reports suggesting that he may be looking to sign with a new team. However, Kupp’s recent comments have put those rumors to rest, as he has made it clear that his focus is on staying with the Rams and continuing to make an impact on the field.

Rams fans can rest easy knowing that one of their favorite players is committed to staying with the team and giving his all next season. With Kupp’s talent and dedication, the future looks bright for the Rams as they look to build on their success in the coming years.

  • Cooper Kupp plans to play next season, unsure of Rams future

LOS ANGELES — Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp said Monday there is “no doubt” in his mind that he wants to play football next season and that while he “would love to be in L.A.,” he has no control over what will happen this offseason.

“I feel like I’ve got a lot of good football left in me,” Kupp said in the Rams’ final open locker room session of the season. “I’ll be playing football next year. That much I know.”

Kupp acknowledged the rumors that circulated at the trade deadline, which he also addressed during the season.

“Who knows what’s going to happen,” Kupp said. “That’s out of my control. And we will see what it’s going to be. … I don’t have any clarity on what that’s going to look like or anything like that. So yeah, obviously would love to be in L.A., but I don’t know what that’s going to look like.”

Kupp has two years left on the contract extension he signed in 2022, with $5 million guaranteed in 2025. If the Rams cut Kupp this offseason, they will save $15 million in cash and $7.52 million against the salary cap. If the Rams release him without a post-June 1 designation, they will absorb $22.2 million in dead money due to the remaining prorated portions of his signing bonus and $5 million of his roster bonus.

Kupp’s best season came in 2021, when he finished the regular season with the receiving triple crown and was named Super Bowl LVI MVP.

This season, Kupp had 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 regular-season games. He missed four games after injuring his ankle in Week 2 and sat out the regular-season finale after the Rams had clinched the NFC West.

The receiver said the season was “frustrating” at times, on a personal level and with the ups and downs the offense had as a whole. While the Rams won 10 of their last 14 games after a 1-4 start, the offense struggled to find consistency.

“There’s all these things you’re weathering through offensively, things that I feel like, man, we should be better than the product we’re putting out there in terms of the production and the points that are being scored,” Kupp said. “And then just for me personally feeling like, man, there’s things, I’m watching film, feeling good about football and playing, but productionwise it’s not showing up. And a lot of stuff’s outside of my control. And it is frustrating.”

Kupp had five catches for 61 yards in the Rams’ season-ending loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Prior to that game, he had just 10 targets, 5 receptions, 82 receiving yards and no touchdowns in his previous five games, according to ESPN Research. He had five or more targets in each of first nine games of season, when he had 63 catches for 657 yards and six touchdowns.

“Obviously I want to be able to feel like I’m impacting games, and that’s done on a much more discreet level, I feel like, for a lot of these games,” Kupp said. “And that is what it is, but I can look back on the season and be happy with what I put on tape and things that I was being asked to do, feel like I was executing my job. And that’s all you can do.”

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has announced that he plans to play next season, but he is unsure of his future with the team. Kupp, who is set to become a free agent in the offseason, has been a key player for the Rams and a favorite target of quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Despite his uncertain future with the team, Kupp remains focused on finishing out the season strong and helping the Rams make a playoff push. He is currently leading the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns, making him a valuable asset for any team in need of a top-tier wide receiver.

While Kupp’s future with the Rams remains uncertain, fans can expect him to give his all on the field and continue to be a reliable playmaker for the team. Stay tuned for more updates on Kupp’s future as the offseason approaches.

  • Saquon Barkley, Dallas Goedert, Cooper Kupp

After rolling in the Wild Card Round, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to play host to the Los Angeles Rams.

Each team brings offensive firepower, but snowy conditions and tough matchups lead us to our NFL PrizePicks for Rams vs. Eagles.

    Rams vs. Eagles PrizePicks

Saquon Barkley More Than 21.5 Rushing Attempts

We touched on the weather in this matchup.

Three-to-five inches of snow are expected to fall around game time, making things hard on defenders. Not to mention, the Rams will have to try to stop Saquon Barkley, who’s having a season for the ages.

Barkley should be heavily utilized in this matchup. The Rams have been unable to slow down the run game, ranking 26th in yards per rush allowed.

Not only will Barkley be effective throughout this matchup, but he will also be used to shorten it as the Eagles are projected to be up late.

With a spot in the NFC Championship Game on the line, you can bank on the ball being in Barkley’s hands quite often.

    Raybon's Rams-Eagles Pick Image

Dallas Goedert More Than 3.5 Receptions

This is another play aided by the weather conditions. The wind is expected to gust up to 28 mph, potentially making the downfield passing game difficult.

However, that will not be an issue for Philly, as they have Dallas Goedert in a tremendous matchup. The Rams are last in PFF’s coverage grading against tight ends and rank 30th in receptions allowed to the position per game.

Since getting healthy, Goedert has averaged more than four receptions on about five targets per game. He is consistent and reliable but could make a bigger impact in this spot.

Cooper Kupp More Than 0.5 Touchdowns

This is a spot where Cooper Kupp is being overlooked.

Yes, he’s had a down year and has recorded just one red-zone target in the last seven games, but he fits in the mold we discussed with Goedert.

The Rams’ short and intermediate passing game will be key to combat the conditions. However, the run game in the red zone will likely be shut down, as the Eagles rank ninth in yards per rush allowed while the Rams are 31st offensively in that category.

Kupp also benefits from his counterpart requiring extra attention. Puka Nacua will see most of his snaps against Darius Slay and Quinyon Mitchell, who rank 21st and 13th in PFF coverage grades for corners, respectively.

As for Kupp, he will be left alone against rookie corner Cooper DeJean. DeJean is ranked well, but Kupp is a veteran and should exploit this matchup, especially in the red zone.

Saquon Barkley, Dallas Goedert, Cooper Kupp: Rising Stars to Watch in the NFL

These three young NFL players have been making waves in the league with their exceptional talent and performance on the field. Saquon Barkley, the dynamic running back for the New York Giants, has shown incredible speed, agility, and power, making him a force to be reckoned with on the gridiron.

Dallas Goedert, the tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been a reliable target for his quarterback with his sure hands and ability to make tough catches in traffic. And Cooper Kupp, the wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, has been a key playmaker for his team with his route-running skills and knack for finding the end zone.

These three young stars are just scratching the surface of their potential in the NFL, and fans can expect to see even more exciting performances from them in the years to come. Keep an eye on Saquon Barkley, Dallas Goedert, and Cooper Kupp as they continue to shine on the football field.

  • Cooper Kupp uses prayer to cope with reduced role

Since generating 1,947 receiving yards in 2021, Rams receiver Cooper Kupp hasn’t gotten back to 1,000 in any season. He had only 710 receiving yards in 2024.

He last had a 100-yard game in the middle of November. Over the last four, he has a total of 82 receiving yards — with one catch for 29 yards in each of the last two contests.

On Thursday, the Super Bowl LVI MVP was asked to explain how he copes with having a reduced role, given that he was once the focal point of the offense.

“You pray a lot,” Kupp said. “You do a lot of prayer and meditation. It’s football in some respects. Statistically speaking, I’ve gone through similar things like this before. Back in 2019, I think I finished the last half of that season probably averaging less than 50 yards a game or something like that.

“Statistically, there’s something wrong. I can look back on these times like I was playing good football. In the same way, I just want to be playing good football. I want to go watch the tape and see that I’m doing things the right way, separating, competing for my teammates, blocking and doing my assignments. I am and that’s all I can do. That’s all that I can control. Whatever they ask me to do, I’m going to continue to do that. I do believe that if you do things the right way for long enough, eventually things will come back full circle. I’m going to take that mentality, keep praying and these things will work out.”

Kupp turns 32 in June. He’s due to make $20 million in 2025, which is one of the reasons why the Rams were looking to trade him before they began to dig out of their 1-4 hole to start the 2024 season.

Absent a massive restructuring, and possibly reduction, of his deal, Kupp could be available in trade after the season — and he quite possibly will be released as the Rams’ passing game makes Puka Nacua the go-to guy.

Cooper Kupp, the talented wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, has been open about how he uses prayer to cope with his reduced role in the team’s offense. Despite being a key contributor in previous seasons, Kupp has seen a decrease in targets and playing time this year.

In a recent interview, Kupp shared how he turns to prayer to help him navigate the challenges of his current situation. He explained that he believes in the power of prayer to bring him peace and perspective, allowing him to trust in God’s plan for his life.

Kupp’s faith has been a guiding force throughout his football career, and he credits prayer with helping him stay grounded and focused on what truly matters. While he may not be getting as many opportunities on the field as he would like, Kupp remains positive and hopeful, trusting that his hard work and dedication will pay off in the end.

As fans continue to support Kupp and the Rams, they can take inspiration from his resilience and faith in the face of adversity. By using prayer as a tool for coping with challenges, Kupp sets an example of strength and perseverance for others to follow.

  • Cooper Kupp Week 17 Outlook – Cardinals at Rams (2024)

Cooper Kupp Week 17 Outlook – Cardinals at Rams (2024)

By Derek Brown (FantasyPros), Fri, Dec 27th 2024, 9:05am EST

Since Week 8, Kupp has been the WR24 in fantasy points per game, as he has seen seven red zone targets. He has faceplanted in three of his last four games as he has failed to surpass 30 receiving yards in those games. Kupp should have a bounceback game against the Cardinals this week. Since Week 10, Arizona has had the highest two high rate in the NFL (61.5%). Since Week 8, against two high, Kupp has had a 23.9% target share, 2.74 YPRR, and a 29.3% first-read share. Arizona has also been giving to slot receivers. Since Week 11, the Cardinals have allowed the 14th-most fantasy points per game and the third-most PPR points per target to slot receivers.

Cooper Kupp Week 17 Outlook – Cardinals at Rams (2024)

As the regular season comes to a close, the Los Angeles Rams are set to take on the Arizona Cardinals in a crucial Week 17 matchup. One player who will be key to the Rams’ success in this game is star wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Kupp has been a standout performer for the Rams all season, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. His chemistry with quarterback Matthew Stafford has been a major factor in the team’s offensive success, and he will look to continue that trend against the Cardinals.

The Cardinals boast a solid defense, but Kupp has shown time and time again that he can produce against even the toughest opponents. His route running, hands, and ability to make big plays after the catch make him a dangerous weapon for the Rams.

In this Week 17 matchup, Kupp will likely be matched up against the Cardinals’ top cornerback, but that shouldn’t deter fantasy managers from starting him with confidence. Kupp has proven to be a reliable fantasy option week in and week out, and he should be in line for another strong performance in this crucial game.

Look for Kupp to be heavily involved in the Rams’ game plan as they look to secure a playoff spot with a win over the Cardinals. Fantasy managers can expect another solid outing from Kupp, making him a must-start in Week 17.

  • Rams’ Kupp Primed for Huge Game?

Rams’ Kupp Primed for Huge Game?

The Los Angeles Rams are coasting high as they look to improve and solidify their playoff hopes, but they have to get past the New York Jets first. The Jets are coming off a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it’s safe to say that this Rams team is no Jaguars.

The Rams possess one of the best wide receiver duos in the league in Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. But as the media and quarterback Matthew Stafford have found more of Nacua in the past few games, is Week 16 a prime setup for Kupp to remind people of how good he is?

Kupp has dealt with an injury this season but has found his way into 10 games of action. In those 10 games, Kupp has recorded 63 receptions and 657 receiving yards. His 63 receptions lead the Ram’s offense as he is only behind Nacua in reception yards this year.

Much to the dismay of the Rams fans last week, even though the Rams were victorious, Kupp had no action in the game. Having only three targets on the game and zero receptions, that sort of performance is uncommon to what Kupp typically does in those rivalry games.

Kupp has three 100+ yard reception games on the season for the Rams, two of which ended in victory. Before his zero yard performance against the San Fransisco 49ers, Kupp recorded 92 receiving yards in five receptions in the shootout between the Rams and the Buffalo Bills.

Given the track record that fans have seen from Kupp and the lack of involvement last week, Kupp could be put in a prime position to be the star wide receiver against the New York Jets. In his career against the New York Jets, Kupp has not had much success, but that could only end on Sunday.

In his one game against the Jets, Kupp had five receptions go for 39 yards, leading to the Ram’s loss. While the two teams have changed mightily since their last meeting, the Rams may find many ways to get the Jets on the ropes early and could easily be on the backs of a strong Kupp performance.

With the Los Angeles Rams set to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, all eyes are on star wide receiver Cooper Kupp. The NFL’s leading receiver has been a key factor in the Rams’ success this season, and many believe he is primed for a huge game on the biggest stage.

Kupp has been a dominant force on the field, racking up over 1,900 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in the regular season. His chemistry with quarterback Matthew Stafford has been undeniable, and the duo has been nearly unstoppable in the playoffs.

With his precise route running, strong hands, and ability to make big plays in crucial moments, Kupp has proven himself to be a game-changer for the Rams. He has consistently come through in clutch situations, and there’s no doubt that he will be looking to make a statement in the Super Bowl.

Facing a tough Bengals defense, Kupp will have his work cut out for him. But with his skillset and determination, he has the potential to put up big numbers and help lead the Rams to victory.

As the Rams prepare to take on the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, all signs point to Cooper Kupp being primed for a huge game. Fans can expect to see him make a significant impact and potentially solidify his place as one of the best wide receivers in the league.
