  • Landman Season 2: Release Date, Cast, and Everything to Know

[Warning: This article contains spoilers for Landman Season 1.]

Landman, super-producer Taylor Sheridan‘s oil industry drama, wrapped up its first season in January. While Paramount+ has not officially renewed the hit series for Season 2, we fully expect it to return, especially because the end of Season 1 left everything unresolved.

The season finale left our Michelob Ultra-swigging, highly imperfect hero Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) in several pickles he’ll have to get out of in Season 2. Following the death of his boss, Monty Miller (Jon Hamm), from a heart attack, Tommy is now the president of M-Tex Oil, a job he did not want. He has to complete negotiations on an exploratory drilling deal Monty was putting together that will bankrupt the company if it doesn’t work out, and he has to do it alongside Rebecca (Kayla Wallace), an attorney he does not trust.

On top of that, he has to deal with the drug cartel that’s moving product across M-Tex’s land. Gallino (Andy Garcia) — Tommy’s new, affably menacing point of contact — wants his new “friend” Tommy to help him get the cartel into the oil business, and managing that not-exactly-consensual relationship will be a huge headache for Tommy.

Plus, Tommy’s (ex)wife Angela (Ali Larter) is high maintenance, his daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) is a handful, and his son Cooper (Jacob Lofland) is in a physically and emotionally dangerous relationship with Ariana (Paulina Chávez), the grieving widow of his dead oil field coworker.

Tommy has a lot on his plate — french fries and mashed potatoes, you could say — and he’ll surely get even more problems added to his pile when Landman returns. Here’s everything we know so far about a potential Season 2.

Has Landman been renewed for Season 2?

Paramount+ has not officially ordered a second season yet. But the streaming service says the show is its most-watched original to date, a claim backed up by its high placement on the Nielsen streaming chart. Paramount has yet to cancel any of Sheridan’s shows, and it seems safe to assume Landman won’t be the first.

In fact, though Paramount+ hasn’t announced anything yet, a second season may already be in the works. In May 2024, months before Season 1 premiered, Landman star Demi Moore told Deadline that she expected to start filming Season 2 in early 2025. “I’ve already completed the first season and I’m excited for us to start the second which will be at the beginning of next year,” she said. Again, nothing is officially, publicly confirmed yet, but we’re 99% sure Landman Season 2 will happen.

Landman Season 2 premiere date prediction

It’s hard to predict premiere dates for Taylor Sheridan shows. There are so many factors at play — A-list actor schedules, weather, Sheridan’s mercurial creative process — that it’s easier to just say you’ll see it when it’s ready. But if Landman does in fact go back into production in early 2025, the break between seasons won’t be very long. Lioness, another of Sheridan’s Paramount+ shows, which is arguably an even more complex production than Landman, only took 15 months between Seasons 1 and 2, even with the writers and actors strikes of 2023. So if Demi Moore is correct, we would expect to see Landman Season 2 in late 2025 or early 2026.

    Landman Season 2 cast

Most of the Season 1 cast would probably return for Season 2, including:

    • Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a land manager at M-Tex Oil, whose life is one crisis after another.
    • Demi Moore as Cami Miller, Tommy’s friend and the widow of his boss, Monty.
    • Ali Larter as Angela Norris, Tommy’s ex-wife with whom he’s rekindled a relationship.
    • Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris, Tommy and Angela’s daughter, who’s supposedly in high school and dreams of marrying an NFL quarterback.
    • Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris, Tommy and Angela’s son, who plans to start his own oil company to provide for Ariana.
    • Kayla Wallace as Rebecca Savage, a shark of an attorney who Monty put in charge of M-Tex alongside Tommy.
    • James Jordan as Dale Bradley, a petroleum engineer who manages roughnecks and is Tommy’s roommate.
    • Paulina Chávez as Ariana Medina, a young widow who is falling in love with Cooper, but it’s too soon after her husband’s death.
    • Colm Feore as Nathan, M-Tex’s general counsel and Tommy’s other roommate.
    • Mustafa Speaks as Boss, an experienced roughneck.
    • Andy Garcia as Gallino, a high-ranking drug cartel member who wants to do business with Tommy

Jon Hamm only signed on for one season and will not be returning to Landman. It would be strange if he did, as his character Monty died during open heart surgery. “You don’t come back from that,” Hamm told USA Today. “He’s no longer with us.”

Hamm also hinted that Demi Moore, who didn’t do much in Season 1, will have a much bigger role in Season 2. “It’s pretty cool that Taylor said to (Moore), ‘Trust me, I’m going to take care of you. This will be worth your while.’ To say the least,” Hamm said. “Cami’s got so much room to grow and show who she really is. It’s going to be fascinating to watch.”

    Landman source material

Landman is based on a Texas Monthly podcast called Boomtown. Boomtown, which ran for 12 episodes between 2019 and 2020, features in-depth reporting on the oil industry in the Permian Basin, America’s most productive oilfield. Boomtown was named one of the 50 best podcasts of 2020 by The Atlantic

Boomtown was reported, written, and hosted by journalist Christian Wallace, who is the co-creator of Landman alongside Sheridan. Wallace previously worked as a roughneck and as an editor at Texas Monthly

He told Deadline that some of Landman is “very accurate” about what it’s like to work in the oil and gas industry, while other elements were embellished for the sake of drama and creating compelling characters. “And it’s funny, it depends on who you ask,” he said. “My uncle who works in the oil field for the last 30 years will nitpick every little thing. But I think for the most part, it’s safe to say you get a decent sense of what it’s like working in oil and gas out there.”

    Where to watch Landman

Landman Season 1 is now streaming on Paramount+, along with Sheridan’s other shows Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, 1883, 1923, Lioness, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

    – Michael Davis as Tom Miller, the ruthless CEO of a major oil company who will do whatever it takes to secure valuable land leases.

Watch ‘Landman’ Actor John Hamm Sing Luke Combs, Shaboozey, and More in Chicago Bar

Bonified movie and television star, Jon Hamm, revealed his affection for contemporary country music recently at Chicago’s Bub City bar on New Year’s Day. Hamm was in Chicago for the NHL’s Winter Classic and cheered on his hometown St. Louis Blues. In addition to the game, Hamm had quite a time at the Chicago-based BBQ and country music bar by singing numerous country songs for both himself and the bar’s patrons.

Jon Hamm’s notoriety primarily derives from his role as Don Draper in the award-winning TV show, Mad Men. Furthermore, Hamm also starred in films such as Baby Driver, Top Gunn: Maverick, and No Sudden Move. More recently, Hamm appeared in Taylor Sheridan’s Landman alongside Billy Bob Thorton and Demi Moore. As of now, the show has been wildly successful in its first season, and it seems Hamm is relishing in the success…As he should be.

Jon Hamm Can’t Escape The Screen

Jon Hamm might be well known on the big screen, but the man has also garnered some attention on your little one. On his celebratory night in Chicago, Jon Hamm went up on stage and sang a variety of country and pop songs. According to an Instagram post by Bub City, Hamm Sang Luke Combs’ “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places,” Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song(Tipsy).”

Even though Hamm was scoring quite the suit, nothing about the performance was buttoned up. Instead, Hamm let his guard town and let the music and the venue’s energy take control. It’s not very often an A-list celebrity lets loose like this, so this is a surprising instance of vulnerability. That being so, Jon Hamm’s vitality and sheer glee are a refreshing site of sincerity. At face value, this was not some endorsement or prearranged performance. Rather, it was just Hamm soaking in what the night had to offer and launching himself into the New Year.

Lastly, Jon Hamm’s excitement partially stemmed from the St. Louis Blues’ six to two win over the Chicago Blackhawks on New Year’s Day at the annual Winter Classic.

If you’re a fan of actor John Hamm, you won’t want to miss this! Hamm, best known for his role as Don Draper in the hit TV series Mad Men, recently surprised fans by showing off his singing skills at a bar in Chicago.

In a video posted on social media, Hamm can be seen belting out popular country songs by artists like Luke Combs and Shaboozey, much to the delight of the crowd. The actor’s smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence had the audience cheering and singing along.

It’s always a treat to see celebrities let loose and show off their hidden talents, and Hamm’s impromptu performance was no exception. Fans lucky enough to witness the actor’s musical abilities firsthand are sure to remember the experience for years to come.

Whether you’re a fan of John Hamm, country music, or just enjoy a good time at a bar, this video is definitely worth watching. Who knows, maybe we’ll see Hamm pursue a music career in the future!

  • ‘Landman’ Takes Social Media By Storm, Fans Can’t Get Enough

‘Landman’ Takes Social Media By Storm, Fans Can’t Get Enough

    People are obsessed with “Landman.”

I wrote a month ago after a few episodes aired that the Taylor Sheridan drama about the oil business in Texas was bound to be a hit.

Billy Bob Thornton might have the role of his career as Tommy – a fixer who plays by his own rules while juggling family issues.

    “Landman” dominates the entertainment world.

Eight episodes have already aired, and there’s two left in season one. There’s still no official word yet on season two, but it’s almost certainly going to happen.

Why wouldn’t Paramount+ want to cash in with Sheridan with more episodes? While its future isn’t 100% clear, it is clear that people are obsessed.

Check out some of the chatter on social media following the eighth episode airing, which featured a shocking ending and plenty of death:

Are you not entertained? I can’t tell you how impressed I’ve been with the eight episodes that are already out.

It’s Sheridan at his best work. It’s right up there with “Lioness” in terms of quality, and it’s every bit as good as “Yellowstone” in its prime.

It does what so many in Hollywood refuse to do these days:

Focus on the audience and provide viewers with a ride that grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go.

Are you already watching “Landman”? Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com. In the meantime, we gear up for episode nine this Sunday!

  • I’ve Changed My Mind About Cooper & Ariana After Landman Season 1, Episode 8

I’ve Changed My Mind About Cooper & Ariana After Landman Season 1, Episode 8

I’ve changed my mind about Ariana (Paulina Chávez) and Cooper Norris’s (Jacob Lofland) relationship after Landman season 1, episode 8, and now I think they deserve to be together. Ever since the blowout that killed a big chunk of the cast of Landman, Cooper and Ariana were essentially destined to date. Cooper started helping Ariana around her house, cutting her grass and helping her with her bills. Then, in Landman episode 7, the two finally kissed after Cooper started staying at Ariana’s house to recover from his injuries. While I didn’t agree with it then, I’ve changed my mind now.

I’m not the only person who had a problem with Ariana and Cooper having a relationship so quickly after the blowout. Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) was furious with them, and even tried to intimidate Cooper into signing the settlement agreement for much less than it was worth. Elvio’s friends even tried to kill Cooper for growing close to Ariana, and even Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) couldn’t understand why they were together. The couple did, however, manage to change his mind in Landman episode 8, and they actually changed mine as well.

I Was Against Cooper & Ariana’s Romance Happening So Quickly

I Thought Cooper & Ariana Were Forming An Unhealthy Bond Over Their Shared Trauma

At first, I thought Cooper and Ariana were rushing into their relationship. As Rebecca pointed out, in the span of just three weeks, Ariana went from being married to Elvio to sleeping in the same bed as Cooper. Their entire relationship felt rushed, which wasn’t helped by the fact that there were constantly outside pressures putting them under even more stress. From Manuel (J.R. Villareal) and Antonio (Octavio Rodriguez) constantly trying to scare Cooper away to the settlement Rebecca has been trying to get Ariana to sign, Cooper and Ariana just didn’t seem to have enough time to actually form a strong bond.

Landman True Story & Inspiration Explained: What To Know About The Texas Oil Boom

Landman introduces audiences to the world of the Permian Basin’s oil industry. Here’s the real-life basis for the show’s subject explained.

It wasn’t even the societal norms that bugged me about their relationship as much as it was the trauma they both shared. I thought their relationship could be nothing but unhealthy because they both had such fresh trauma that they hadn’t properly processed. Ariana lost her husband and the father of her child, while Cooper watched three men die and was nearly beaten to death. It didn’t seem like a great foundation for a healthy relationship. I thought Cooper and Ariana’s romance should have waited for Landman season 2 so they could have more time to grieve.

Landman Episode 8 Acknowledges My Concerns About Cooper & Ariana

Ariana & Cooper Clearly Understand What’s Going On But Are Still Open To Letting Things Happen Naturally

Ariana (Paulina Chávez) looking furious in Landman season 1, episode 8

Luckily, the ending of Landman episode 8 completely assuaged all my concerns about Ariana and Cooper’s relationship. After Tommy came to visit them for dinner and asked what they were doing together, Ariana gave a very moving speech about how they were trying to figure things out and that they were doing it rather clumsily. During her speech, Ariana made it clear that she understood how much Elvio’s death is affecting her, and she also showed that she realizes Cooper is going through just as much trauma as her. Clumsy as it is, Ariana and Cooper’s relationship is built on a good and realistic foundation.

A pair of young people who are simply clinging to each other to avoid thinking about a traumatic event don’t have such a realistic view of the future. If Cooper and Ariana were just trying to block out their pain, she wouldn’t have even entertained the idea that Cooper might not love her. Landman has convinced me that Ariana and Cooper are more than capable of handling their relationship in a mature way, and I agree with Ariana that it’s worth figuring out. Even if they end up realizing it was a mistake down the line, I now think their relationship is at least worth exploring.

Cooper & Ariana Moving Forward Now Makes A Lot More Sense

I Support Cooper & Ariana’s Romance Now That They’ve Proven How Much They Mean To One Another

Cooper Norris (Jacob Lofland) and Ariana (Paulina Chávez) hugging in Landman season 1, episode 8

Ariana’s explanation of what her and Cooper’s relationship is made their story going forward in Landman much easier to understand. Now, they’re not two kids who are stupidly falling in love at the wrong time, they’re two adults who are trying to make sense of a whirlwind situation. Likewise, if Cooper gets targeted by Manuel and Antonio’s friends again, it won’t be the result of a mistake, it will be the result of a conscious decision to give their relationship a chance despite the odds. I think their relationship just got a lot more compelling, and I fully support whatever Landman has in store for Cooper and Ariana.

After watching Season 1, Episode 8 of Landman, I have to admit that my opinion of Cooper and Ariana has completely changed. Initially, I found their characters to be one-dimensional and uninteresting. However, this episode shed light on their complex backgrounds and motivations, making me see them in a whole new light.

Cooper’s vulnerability and struggle with his past demons was truly heart-wrenching to watch. His commitment to his job and loyalty to his friends were admirable qualities that I had overlooked before. As for Ariana, her fierce determination and unwavering loyalty to Cooper in the face of danger was both inspiring and endearing.

The chemistry between Cooper and Ariana also became more palpable in this episode, adding a layer of depth to their relationship that I had not seen before. Their banter and emotional moments were beautifully portrayed, making me root for them as a couple.

Overall, Season 1, Episode 8 of Landman has completely changed my mind about Cooper and Ariana. I can’t wait to see how their characters continue to evolve and grow as the series progresses.

  • Jon Hamm On Being The “Male Nicole Kidman,” If ‘Landman’ Will Get Season 2 & Why Dorit Kemsley Of Bravo’s ‘RHOBH’ Is “Not Doing For Me”

Jon Hamm On Being The “Male Nicole Kidman,” If ‘Landman’ Will Get Season 2 & Why Dorit Kemsley Of Bravo’s ‘RHOBH’ Is “Not Doing For Me”

Jon Hamm is giving his hot takes on the latest drama from Bravo and revealed if Landman was getting a second season.

The Mad Men alum appeared on CNN‘s New Year’s Eve special and host Andy Cohen wasted no time getting the actor to spill the tea.

Cohen noted that Hamm is the “male Nicole Kidman” as he accumulated a lot of acting credits throughout 2024 with appearances on Landman, The Morning Show, Fargo, one of the lead voices on Fox’s Grimsburg, and Apple TV+’s upcoming Your Friends and Neighbors.

The Watch What Happens Live host asked Hamm if he should “share a little bit more,” to which he replied, “Listen, I’m achieving peak, Kidman. I think you called it. I love it. It’s all I can do. I love working. I get to work on great stuff and why not me? I vote yes, more me.”

Hamm is a fan of The Real Housewives, and when Cohen asked what his takeaway was from the current season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, he took the opportunity to air his grievances.

“OK, I have some thoughts. Dorit [Kemsley] is not doing it for me these days. I’m having some issues with her mentality and her issues,” Hamm said.

Kemsley has been activated in the current season of RHOBH and has been more vocal than in the past seasons. The Bravo star has been feuding with her co-star Kyle Richards and revealed that she has marital issues with her husband PK.

RELATED: ‘RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley On Her Feud With Kyle Richards & Why She Feels “Stronger & More Empowered” In Season 14

Hamm is a fan of the Bravo universe in general and also said he wanted to “pour one out” to Summer House star Paige DeSorbo and Southern Charm star Craig Conover, who recently announced they had split up after three years.

“My goodness. End of an era. Geez,” Hamm said.

Cohen also asked if there was a possibility that Taylor Sheridan’s Landman was getting a second season, to which Hamm said, “I’m hoping. Stay tuned. That’s all I can say.”

Jon Hamm On Being The “Male Nicole Kidman,” If ‘Landman’ Will Get Season 2 & Why Dorit Kemsley Of Bravo’s ‘RHOBH’ Is “Not Doing For Me”

In a recent interview, Jon Hamm opened up about being compared to the legendary actress Nicole Kidman. The Mad Men star expressed his admiration for Kidman’s talent and versatility, stating that he is honored to be considered the “male Nicole Kidman.”

When asked about the possibility of a second season for his hit show ‘Landman,’ Hamm remained tight-lipped but hinted that fans may have something to look forward to in the future. He teased, “We’re definitely exploring some exciting new storylines and character developments, so stay tuned.”

However, when the conversation turned to Dorit Kemsley of Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ Hamm didn’t hold back. “I have to be honest, Dorit is just not doing it for me,” he admitted. “I find her antics and drama to be a bit too over-the-top for my taste. I prefer more subtle and authentic personalities on reality TV.”

It’s clear that Jon Hamm has strong opinions when it comes to his TV viewing habits and the performances of his peers. Whether it’s being compared to a Hollywood icon or critiquing a reality TV star, Hamm is never afraid to speak his mind. Stay tuned for more updates on ‘Landman’ and Jon Hamm’s latest projects.

While Cooper and Ariana were making moves in Landman Episode 8, there was one character who had a major health scare, and fans now think they won’t make it to the end. (Warning: spoilers ahead!)

Despite being only eight episodes into a ten-episode arc, Landman has still managed to amass a pretty high body count. There were two explosions that claimed the lives of many in Episode 1 (the plane crash and the oil well accident), and Episode 8 just ended on the cliffhanger of an accidental National Guard murder.

There are only two episodes to go, but there’s still lots of potential for damage. Not only is Ainsley the likeliest victim for a cartel kidnapping, but Jon Hamm’s Monty is now recovering from another heart attack.

Unfortunately for the latter, not everyone thinks he’ll make it out alive.

Fans think Jon Hamm’s Monty will die in Landman

In Landman Episode 8, Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) suffered a heart attack after weeks of stress and anxiety caught up with him. For keen viewers, this may not have come as a shock. Monty has been pumping himself with pills since episode one, and his wife Cami (Demi Moore) has been keeping an eye on what he eats and drinks.

As for his work life, things haven’t helped. The plane crash, the cartel threats, plus a bereavement deal gone wrong all led to Monty sitting in his car yelling down the phone at M-Tex Oil’s lawyer, Rebecca. After throwing the phone down, he appeared to get a pain in his chest.

Landman Episode 6: Tommy sits in Monty's living room

He eventually told his driver to take him to the hospital, where we later saw him (alive and conscious) being examined while Cami handled Tommy over the phone.

It looks as though Monty is okay, but only for the time being. One more incident could be the death of him, and that’s where fans of the Taylor Sheridan drama seem to think we’re headed.

“Anyone else feel like they’re setting Monty up to die by the end of the season?” one Reddit user asked. “Just kinda feels like that’s where their heading. TS loves his dramatic deaths in shows.”

“Would make sense, not sure why they’d cast Demi Moore as just a background character,” another suggested, with a third agreeing, “Yeah, that’s what I thought. If he leaves her everything then she becomes the Season 2 boss.”

“100%. Dude is gonna have a heart attack, probably while swimming in that glorious pool of theirs,” joked one user. One even suggested practical reasons for killing Monty, saying, “Probably can’t afford the Hamm, so to speak, if he has more movies to do.”

Landman Episode 9 will premiere on Sunday, January 5 on Paramount+.

Landman viewers are on the edge of their seats as speculation grows that one major character will meet their demise by the end of Season 1. With twists and turns at every corner, fans are left wondering who will be the unfortunate victim of the Landman’s dangerous world.

As the stakes continue to rise and tensions escalate, it seems inevitable that a shocking death will occur before the season concludes. Who will it be? Will it be a beloved protagonist or a devious antagonist? Only time will tell as the thrilling drama unfolds.

Stay tuned as Landman continues to captivate audiences with its gripping storyline and unpredictable plot twists. Don’t miss a single moment as the countdown to the season finale begins and the fate of our favorite characters hangs in the balance.

What’s Wrong With Jon Hamm’s Monty In Landman Episode 8?

Jon Hamm’s character, Monty, was hospitalized in Landman episode 8, raising questions about his health. Jon Hamm is one of the biggest names in Landman’s cast, bringing his talents to Taylor Sheridan’s latest boomtown oil industry drama. However, Monty has appeared in minimal scenes throughout the first eight episodes, primarily talking to Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris over the phone as he makes decisions from the big city. Concerns related to Monty’s health have been teased throughout the season, and they seemingly take a turn for the worst in episode 8.

Monty speaks to Rebecca Falcone and Nathan on the phone as they negotiate the settlement deal with Ariana. Due to Cooper’s help, Ariana manages to get twice the amount they initially offered, and the revelation of this matter piles on Monty’s stress. He monitors his heart rate on a wristwatch, and the number begins to skyrocket, causing him to ask his driver to take him to the hospital. Landman’s episode 8 ending didn’t reveal too much information about what’s happening with him, but Demi Moore’s Cami forbade him from taking work-related calls until he recovers.

Monty’s Heart Condition Has Been Teased Throughout Landman Season 1

Monty’s Health Problems Have Been Mentioned In Several Scenes

Monty’s health is teased throughout Landman season 1 in several scenes that involve his character. When he was shown on the golf course, he stated that he didn’t necessarily enjoy playing but that he was doing it as a form of exercise. Cami has also encouraged him to exercise, improve his diet, and has removed coffee mugs from his hand to limit his caffeine intake. For the most part, it seems like his heart problems are due to a combination of minimal exercise, dietary intake, and, most importantly, high stress.

Landman Season 1, Episode 8 Review: Explosive Confrontations Set The Stage For A Dangerous New Era In The Norris Family Saga

Landman season 1, episode 8 elevates the show’s dramatic tension, as characters’ clashing ideals mount conflict that will challenge the Norris family.

Monty’s first dialogue in episode 8 even featured him discussing healthy lifestyle choices with his scene partner. The brief conversation, which involved existential life philosophies about fate and human autonomy, could be foreshadowing Monty’s death coming soon as a result of his habits. Even if the scene suggests that diet and limiting caffeine intake might not have helped him, the show could be posing that Monty’s endless pursuit of money at the cost of every other aspect of his life will ultimately lead him to an untimely passing.

The reveal of the $1 million counteroffer is what puts Monty in the hospital, but it’s possible that his health condition led him to fold over. If he was more stalwart, he might be willing to take Ariana to trial and ultimately destroy her for trying to take from him, but that would cause even more strain on him. Win or lose, a trial would potentially cause years of stress in public relations issues, lawyer costs, and more. He’s an extremely wealthy man, and at this point, he’d prefer to toss away the money rather than deal with all that.

EXCLUSIVE: Landman star Paulina Chávez explains Ariana and Rebecca’s episode 8 settlement stand-off, and what it means for her and Cooper’s future.

Granted, Tommy states later in the episode that the company doesn’t usually try to save money by being cheap with family settlements, so it seems like this strategy has something to do with whatever Rebecca and Monty have going on. It seems like they were trying to lowball Ariana to begin with, so it might not be the biggest loss for M-Tex. Problems with the Cartel are going to be far more threatening in the final two episodes.

There are a few factors that point to Monty’s death at the end of Landman season 1. Jon Hamm has been making the rounds on TV shows over the past decade, starring in titles like Fargo, The Morning Show, and more. However, he hasn’t appeared in more than thirteen episodes of a single show since Mad Men ended in 2015. Hamm may be willing to lend his talents to various shows, but he hasn’t committed to anything long-term. Having a one-season stint on Landman seems consistent with his recent tendencies.

Demi Moore was cast to play Cami, yet she’s barely been in the season so far.

As for the narrative purpose of Monty dying, it would leave a notable power vacuum that would create issues for M-Tex at the top level. Demi Moore was cast to play Cami, yet she’s barely been in the season so far. Sheridan could be waiting for Monty’s death to fully integrate her, with Cami taking the reins after he’s gone. Alternatively, Tommy could find himself taking on a role on the business end of things to help Cami hold on to her husband’s company if Landman is renewed for a second season.

In the latest episode of Landman, fans are left wondering what’s wrong with Jon Hamm’s character, Monty. Throughout the episode, Monty exhibits erratic behavior, making questionable decisions that leave viewers scratching their heads.

From his outbursts of anger to his reckless actions, it’s clear that something is not right with Monty. His once charming and suave demeanor has been replaced with a sense of unpredictability that has fans on edge.

As the episode unfolds, it becomes apparent that Monty is struggling with personal demons that are affecting his professional life. His interactions with colleagues and clients are strained, and his judgment is clouded by his inner turmoil.

But what exactly is causing Monty to unravel? Is it a past trauma resurfacing, a looming crisis, or something else entirely? Fans are left speculating as they anxiously await the next episode to unravel the mystery behind Monty’s troubling behavior.

One thing is for certain – Jon Hamm’s portrayal of Monty in Landman Episode 8 is nothing short of riveting, leaving viewers captivated by his complex and troubled character. Stay tuned to see how Monty’s story unfolds in the upcoming episodes.

Yellowstone season 5 has concluded, but another show co-created by Taylor Sheridan is still in the midst of releasing new episodes.

Landman, the latest addition to Sheridan’s Paramount Plus slate, premiered on the streaming service in November. Described by Paramount Plus as “a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs,” the West Texas–set series stars big names like Demi Moore and Jon Hamm. Billy Bob Thornton plays the lead — Tommy Norris — an oil company crisis manager. The show is based on the podcast Boomtown, from Texas Monthly magazine and Imperative Entertainment, and is co-created by Boomtown host and writer Christian Wallace.

Though it doesn’t carry the hit Paramount Network series Yellowstone, Paramount Plus is the place to find the following shows that involve Sheridan: 1923, 1883, Mayor of Kingstown, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Special Ops: Lioness and Tulsa King. If you’re excited about Landman, the next series to join that list, here’s a full episode release schedule.
