As for who is in the cast of The Z-Suite, Lauren will step into the role of Monica Marks, with Nico Santos portraying executive Doug Garcia and Madison Shamoun playing social media manager Kriska Thompson.

Lauren Graham touched down in Park City on Thursday to attend the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her new film, Twinless. The bromance dramedy stars Dylan O’Brien opposite the film’s writer-director James Sweeney in the story of two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group and form an unlikely bond.
Graham plays the mother of O’Brien’s characters — the Maze Runner star has dual roles as the twins, one who dies unexpectedly and the other as he attempts to find peace after losing his other half — and while the role is small, the veteran actress couldn’t pass it up. “I don’t often get offered something a little darker and something that felt like a cool challenge,” Graham told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet inside the Eccles Center Theatre. “It doesn’t need to be about me. I can just go do something because I like it.” Plus, she said she “loves Dylan’s work.”
Of her few scenes with O’Brien, Graham noted that the two just really clicked. “He’s got such a great charisma and he just worked so hard on both of these twins and took it so seriously, but with a lightness and just kindness to the crew and to me. There’s no place he can’t go.”As for Graham, she has places to go. The actress is scheduled to be in Park City for only about 24 hours before jetting off to New York City for a media promotion blitz for her new show, The Z-Suite on Tubi. The show, set to premiere Feb. 6, casts Graham as Monica Marks, an advertising maven, and Nico Santos as her loyal right-hand executive, both of whom find themselves pushed out and canceled after a blunder. Together, they must find a way back to glory while facing off against eager Gen Z staffers who have taken her place.
The schedule will include the morning show rounds, a red carpet premiere and press junket, a swirl that Graham hasn’t been on in a few years, she said. “I’m on a new network where [the show is among] the first scripted programming,” she explained. “There’s a little bit of pressure, but also just a lot of momentum and excitement and we will just try not to screw it up.”
After the trailer dropped this week, a handful of headlines appeared trying to connect the dots between Graham’s Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls and Monica Marks on The Z-Suite. Graham appreciates the connection but insists the characters could not be more different.
“There are no similarities and I hope they’ll come along for this ride,” she told THR. “I can’t do that. I can never replicate the beauty and the magic of that character and that writing and that time, so I might as well not try. This is something very different, but she’s fun and kooky and the show has a spirit to it that I think has a coziness to it, but it’s very different character.”

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert reportedly tried to kick a “guy” out of a women’s restroom in the U.S. Capitol on Thursday, only to realize she’d made a mistake.
Congressional leaders were voting on the House floor when the far-right representative reportedly came “bursting” out of a nearby women’s restroom and complained to security that there was “a guy” inside, Bloomberg reporter Billy House wrote in a series of posts on X.
Transgender people are banned from using single-sex facilities that align with their gender identities near the House Chamber under a policy first introduced by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.).
House said Boebert brought Mace over to help sniff out the supposed intruder.
Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., reportedly confronted the person using the restroom and alerted security. Recalling the scene, House said he waited outside the restroom after seeing Boebert and Mace storm back in. He saw four people leave after her, all women.
Back on the House floor, Boebert falsely told colleagues that the person she saw was Rep. Sarah McBride (D-Del.), the Daily Beast reported, citing sources present. McBride is the first transgender member of Congress and the target of Mace’s bathroom ban.
“You shouldn’t be here,” Boebert said she told the person in the women’s room, according to the Daily Beast.
Rep. Nancy Mace, R-SC., reportedly helped Boebert sniff out the person using the restroom near the House Chamber. Mace authored a bill that bans people from using single-sex facilities that align with their gender identities near the House Chamber. After reporting the incident to colleagues, House said Boebert returned to the restroom with Mace. Both entered the room but “just seconds” later, they “quietly” exited and returned to the House floor, he wrote.
House said he questioned Boebert about what happened and said she admitted that she hadn’t seen “a guy” after all.
“I apologized, learned a lesson, and it won’t happen again,” she said in a statement to the Daily Beast.
A spokesperson for McBride chastised the two lawmakers for their behavior.
“What a thoroughly predictable ― and predicted ― outcome,” Michaela Kurinsky-Malos told HuffPost Friday. “Representative McBride thinks people should get back to work rather than play bathroom police.”
Representatives for Boebert and Mace did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s requests for comment Friday.
Lauren Boebert, the controversial Republican congresswoman from Colorado, made headlines once again this week after calling security on a nonexistent “guy” in the women’s bathroom. In a now-deleted tweet, Boebert claimed that she had encountered a man in the women’s bathroom and had to call security to have him removed. However, security footage later revealed that there was no man in the bathroom at the time of the incident, leading many to question Boebert’s motives for fabricating the story.
This incident has reignited the debate over transgender rights and bathroom access, with many criticizing Boebert for spreading false information and perpetuating harmful stereotypes. It also raises concerns about the misuse of security resources and the potential consequences of making baseless accusations.
Boebert’s actions have once again highlighted the need for greater understanding and acceptance of transgender individuals, as well as the importance of fact-checking and verifying information before spreading it. Let’s hope that this incident serves as a wake-up call for Boebert and others who seek to stoke fear and division for their own gain.

MAGA firebrand Lauren Boebert “stormed” into a women’s restroom in the Capitol to get “a guy” removed by security on Thursday.
But the conservative Trump loyalist ended up apologizing after it turned out to be a case of “mistaken identity.”
Boebert was overheard on the House floor telling members that she had discovered Delaware Democrat Sarah McBride in the women’s bathroom, according to the Daily Beast.
McBride, the first transgender member of Congress, is not permitted to use the women’s bathrooms after Speaker Mike Johnson renewed a ban on transgender people using single-sex bathrooms.
Boebert told other members that when she thought she saw McBride walking into the bathroom, she said, “You shouldn’t be here,” an anonymous Republican lawmaker told the outlet.

But the Colorado congresswoman then realized the person in the bathroom was not McBride. “I overheard Boebert say she went to apologize,” the lawmaker added.
Bloomberg Congress reporter Billy House also witnessed the incident and described Boebert “bursting out” of the women’s bathroom “complaining to security personnel stationed in the nearby Speakers Lobby of “a guy” inside.”
House said he was “intrigued” and saw four other people leave the bathroom after Boebert. “All women,” he noted in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
“Within minutes, however, Boebert was storming back from the House floor into the restroom — reinforced by Rep. Nancy Mace in tow.”
“But alas, just seconds after this duo entered the bathroom, they come back out — and went back quietly to the floor,” House said.
Boebert admitted she “made an error regarding a mistaken identity” in a statement to the Daily Beast. “I apologized, learned a lesson, and it won’t happen again,” Boebert said.
McBride confirmed to the outlet that she was not confronted by Boebert and added that she stands by her commitment to comply with the speaker’s bathroom policy.
South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace has been an outspoken critic of equal trans access to facilities and pushed House Republicans to keep transgender people out of bathrooms at the Capitol matching their gender identity.
Lauren Boebert, a Republican congresswoman from Colorado, was forced to apologize after attempting to remove a man from a women’s bathroom at the Capitol building. In a now-deleted tweet, Boebert wrote, “I was followed into a public bathroom by a guy and he was questioning me in the women’s bathroom. I screamed so loud, he ran out. This is not okay.”
The incident sparked outrage and backlash online, with many pointing out that Boebert’s actions were discriminatory and transphobic. The man in question was later revealed to be a reporter who was simply trying to ask her a question.
After facing criticism, Boebert issued a statement apologizing for the incident, saying, “I made a mistake and I apologize for my actions. I should have handled the situation differently and I regret my response.”
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting everyone’s rights and identities, regardless of gender. Discrimination and prejudice have no place in our society, and it is crucial for public figures like Boebert to set a positive example for others.

Lauren Betts breaks a school record in UCLA women’s basketball win
NEWARK, N.J. — Lauren Betts had 24 points, nine rebounds and a school-record nine blocks to help No. 1 UCLA beat 25th-ranked Baylor 72-57 on Monday in the inaugural Coretta Scott King Classic.
The doubleheader that also featured No. 7 Texas and eighth-ranked Maryland was created to honor King’s legacy and celebrate female empowerment in sports. It’s the first time the names of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King have been licensed for a sporting event.
UCLA (18-0) jumped all over Baylor to build an early double-digit lead. The Bears (16-4), who saw their five-game winning streak end, got within five a few times, but each time Betts and the Bruins answered.
The Bruins had a 41-36 lead midway through the third quarter before scoring six straight to restore a double-digit advantage. Baylor didn’t get within single digits the rest of the way.
Yaya Felder scored 10 points to lead the Bears.
Takeaways
UCLA: The Bruins remained one of two unbeaten teams in Division I women’s basketball, along with No. 5 Louisiana State. UCLA will remain on the East Coast for the week to face Rutgers and then Maryland.
Baylor: The Bears entered the Top 25 this week for the first time since early in the season. They probably will need a win on Sunday against No. 9 Texas Christian to stay ranked.
Key moment: UCLA scored 17 of the game’s first 19 points to build a double-digit cushion.
Key stat: Betts broke the school record for blocks she held with Corinne Costa of seven. Betts reached that mark in her last game against Penn State last week. Costa did it four times from 2011-14.
Up next: UCLA visits Rutgers on Thursday. Baylor visits TCU on Sunday.
Lauren Betts Breaks a School Record in UCLA Women’s Basketball WinIn a thrilling game against their rivals, UCLA women’s basketball team secured a resounding victory with a standout performance from freshman phenom, Lauren Betts. The talented center not only dominated the court with her impressive skills but also etched her name in the school record books by shattering a longstanding record.
Betts’ exceptional performance was a sight to behold as she showcased her versatility, scoring prowess, and defensive prowess throughout the game. Her commanding presence in the paint helped UCLA control the game and ultimately secure a convincing win.

Lauren Alaina Says Pregnancy ‘Transformed’ Her Relationship to Body Image (Exclusive)
Pregnancy taught Lauren Alaina a thing or two about self-love.
Now 22 weeks pregnant, Alaina is amazed by what her body is “capable of” — and the experience shifted her perspective on body image.
“My love and appreciation for my body has transformed in the last five months. Just what a miracle it is. The female body is insane,” Alaina, 30 — who’s expecting her first baby with husband Cam Arnold — tells PEOPLE exclusively.
She continues, “I have really struggled with body image in my life, and now that I have this baby, I’m like, ‘How could I have ever thought something negative about this body of mine that can do this?’ It’s unbelievable.”
Alaina has been vocal about her struggle with body image in the past. In August 2023, she opened up about struggling with eating on Bachelorette star Hannah Brown‘s Better Tomorrow podcast.
“I started having problems with [an] eating disorder in middle school and then in tenth grade, I go on American Idol,” Alaina admitted. “And I was in my very awkward, chubby phase.”
Lauren Alaina and Cam Arnold.

“I was always confident on the stage; the one thing I wasn’t confident [about] was my weight, probably my whole life,” she continued.
Then, during her 2011 run on American Idol, she received an overwhelming amount of backlash about her body, as she was shifting “between a teenager and a woman.”
“People commented a lot on my weight… What kind of evil humans can comment on a 16-year-old child is beyond me now. But as that 16-year-old child, it got very bad for a while,” Alaina recalled. “I suffered with such a severe eating disorder in those years where nothing was connecting. It wasn’t only because [I needed] to work hard, I lost who I was completely. Everything – my light… it was dimmed quite a bit because of the TV aspect.”
Elsewhere in their conversation, she shared that going to therapy helped and she was “happy and healthy” in her life.
Alaina revealed she was pregnant to PEOPLE after teasing her pregnancy in her “These Kind of Women” music video, which premiered on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
“[I didn’t know] I can love something that I haven’t even really held yet. I feel the baby inside me, and it’s kicking me and doing all of the things. It’s like I was the Grinch or something, and my heart grew,” she says.
The couple didn’t plan on trying for a baby until the end of 2025 — but Mother Nature had other plans.
“Now I’m scared because I don’t feel like I passed any sort of test. They don’t make you take a test on being a mom. It’s crazy. People are like, ‘What’s your plan with the birth? And what’s your plan here?” And I’m like, listen, ‘God’s plan. It wasn’t my plan,’” she says, adding that she’s been asking her own mom and friends with kids for advice.
Still, as they await the baby’s arrival, the news has been a source of joy for the family after Alaina’s father died in July.
“I do think that my dad passed away and got a stair up in heaven and was like, ‘Hey, we got to work something out down there to send the family something good.’ And it has been such an unexpected blessing,” she says. “We obviously still talk about and are dealing with the grief of my dad, but this baby has healed a lot of that for us … like it’s a little piece of my dad that will live on.”
Country singer Lauren Alaina opened up about how pregnancy has transformed her relationship with her body image in an exclusive interview with People magazine.Alaina, who announced her pregnancy earlier this year, shared that the experience has taught her to appreciate her body in a whole new way. “It’s been such a journey of self-love and acceptance,” she said. “I’ve always struggled with body image, but carrying a child has made me see my body in a completely different light.”
The 26-year-old singer also revealed that she has been embracing her changing body and focusing on the beauty of carrying a child. “I’ve never felt more beautiful and powerful than I do now,” she said. “Pregnancy has made me realize how amazing our bodies are and what they are capable of.”
Alaina added that she hopes to inspire other women to embrace their bodies and love themselves, no matter what stage of life they are in. “I want to show other women that it’s okay to love and appreciate your body, no matter what shape or size it is,” she said. “Pregnancy has been a truly transformative experience for me, and I hope to continue to spread positivity and self-love to others.”
Fans of Alaina can expect to see more of her journey through pregnancy and motherhood on her social media channels and in upcoming interviews. She is set to welcome her first child later this year, and is looking forward to the next chapter in her life.
