Done Deals – Young Duo Arrive in Rome To Complete Lazio Transfers
Lazio have sealed deals for Reda Belahyane and Oliver Provstgaard who have both landed in Rome ahead of their imminent transfers.
The Biancocelesti spent the entire January transfer session hunting a young midfielder. But after recently missing out on Torino’s new signing Cesare Casadei following a back-and-forth transfer saga, they reverted to their original target, Belahyane. The Italian capital side pounced on their good relationships with Hellas Verona to strike a swift agreement.
As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 20-year-old French Morrocan was spotted in Rome as he arrives to finalise a deadline-day transfer on Monday. The young deep-lying playmaker is an OGC Nice youth product who joined the Gialloblu a year ago for less than €1 million and made his Serie A debut under Marco Baroni.
Belahyane rose to prominence this season with Paolo Zanetti in charge, cementing himself as a regular feature for Verona. Hence, he should cost Lazio €12-13 million.
Moreover, Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani have also been seeking a new central defender, and have finally found their man in Provstgaard. According to Sky Sport DE journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 21-year-old Dane has also arrived in the Italian capital following an agreement between Lazio and Vejle on a tranfer fee of €4 million.
The young centre-back is blessed with an impressive physical frame and as well as technical attributes, rendering him a modern-day defender. Since both players are under the age of 22, neither will warrant a spot on the club’s congested Serie A squad list.
Lazio fans, get ready to welcome two exciting young talents to the club as they arrive in Rome to complete their transfers! The first player is a highly-rated midfielder who has been making waves in his home country. Known for his technical ability and vision on the pitch, he is expected to bring a new dimension to Lazio’s midfield.
The second player is a promising forward who has been turning heads with his speed and skill. With a keen eye for goal, he is set to bolster Lazio’s attacking options and provide some much-needed firepower.
Both players are eager to prove themselves in Serie A and help Lazio achieve their goals this season. Stay tuned for the official announcements as these deals are finalized and the players are officially unveiled as Lazio’s newest signings. Lazio Closing in on Final Agreement With Hellas Verona for Reda Belahyane
Lazio are reportedly on the cusp of sealing an accord with Hellas Verona for the transfer of Reda Belahyane.
Futile Casadei Chase
The 20-year-old was one of the first names on the club’s January shortlist, but the track cooled down when Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani decided to vigorously chase Cesare Casadei in previous weeks, only for the latter to complete a transfer from Chelsea to Torino who prevailed in the gruelling soap opera.
Reda Belahyane Edging Closer to Lazio
Therefore, Lazio have decided to revive their attempts to sign Belahyane. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the two clubs are close to striking a full accord which would see the French Morrocan complete a deadline-day switch on Monday. On the other hand, the Sky Sport Italia correspondent also denies the rumors linking the Aquile to Empoli’s Jacopo Fazzini.
The Competitors
For his part, fellow journalist Alfredo Pedulla adds that Belahyane is on his way out of Verona even though his transfer to Stade Rennais collapsed following the sacking of Jorge Sampaoli. The transfer market expert reveals that the young deep-lying playmaker is followed by Marseille and Fiorentina, but Lazio could pounce on their excellent rapport with the Gialloblu to seal the deal.
Toma Basic to Sassuolo
Pedulla expects the potential operation to cost the Biancocelesti around €12-13 million. He also reveals that Lazio are close to offloading their outcasted midfielder Toma Basic, as they’re currently engaged in advanced negotiations with Sassuolo.
According to reports, Lazio is close to finalizing a deal with Hellas Verona for the transfer of Reda Belahyane. The midfielder has been on the radar of Lazio for some time now, and it seems that a deal is finally within reach.Belahyane has been impressive in his performances for Verona this season, catching the eye of several top clubs in Italy. Lazio has been in talks with Verona for weeks now, and it appears that they are close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of the talented midfielder.
The final details of the deal are still being ironed out, but it is expected that Belahyane will soon be a Lazio player. The move would be a significant boost for Lazio, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Fans of both clubs will be eager to see how Belahyane performs in his new surroundings, and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to life at Lazio. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing transfer saga.

Cagliari vs Lazio Preview
Lazio are in sixth place in the Serie A standings and have stepped up to the plate this season. The Biancocelesti slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Braga in the UEFA Europa League in their previous game and have a point to prove this week.
Cagliari, on the other hand, are in 16th place in the league table and have struggled this season. The home side suffered a 2-0 defeat against Torino last week and will need to bounce back in this fixture.
Cagliari vs Lazio Head-to-Head and Key Numbers
- Lazio have an excellent recent record against Cagliari and have won 26 out of the last 41 matches between the two teams, as opposed to Cagliari’s seven victories.
- Lazio are unbeaten in their last 19 matches against Cagliari in Serie A – joint-longest such run against a single opponent in the history of the competition.
- Cagliari have lost each of their last five matches at home against Lazio in Serie A and have conceded a total of 12 goals in these games.
- Lazio have scored 43 goals in their last 19 matches against Cagliari in Serie A – they have scored more goals only against Sampdoria in the competition.
- Cagliari have lost nine matches without scoring a single goal in Serie A so far this season.

Cagliari vs Lazio Prediction
Lazio have been fairly impressive this season but have stuttered regularly over the past month. Valentin Castellanos has been impressive for the Biancocelesti and will look to make his mark this weekend.
Cagliari have been in poor form this season and cannot afford to put a foot wrong in this fixture. Lazio are the better team and should be able to win this game.
Prediction: Cagliari 1-2 Lazio

#Cagliari #Lazio #Prediction #Betting #TipsAlarm Bells at Lazio as Mattia Zaccagni Could Miss Cagliari Clash
Lazio captain Mattia Zaccagni could skip Monday’s Serie A contest against Cagliari due to a bout with flu.
The Background
The Biancocelesti are preparing to take the flight to Sardinia where they’ll take on Davide Nicola’s men on the closing curtain of Round 23. However, they might be forced to leave their skipper behind in Rome.
Lazio Could Be Without Mattia Zaccagni
The 29-year-old had already missed Thursday’s Europa League fixture against Braga as he was serving a suspension. But while that ban gave the winger some timely rest, Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) reveals he hasn’t trained since falling ill on Friday. The source expects the final decision to be made just hours before the team flies to Cagliari.
Zaccagni’s Numbers this Season
Zaccagni’s absence would be a significant blow for Marco Baroni, as he remains one of his most consistent performers and arguably the team’s most vital player in the final third. The Cesena native has contributed with eight goals and five assists his his 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
The Alternatives
So if the Italy international fails to make it, the Aquile will reportedly turn to either Pedro or Tijjani Noslin for the left-wing role. The attacking band should be led by Taty Castellanos, with Boulaye Dia behind him and Gustav Isaksen on the right wing.
Lazio fans are sounding the alarm bells as midfielder Mattia Zaccagni could miss the upcoming clash against Cagliari. The Italian international has been a key player for the team this season, and his absence could be a major blow for the squad.Zaccagni has been dealing with a nagging injury in recent weeks, and it appears that he may not be fit in time for the crucial match against Cagliari. His absence would leave a significant gap in the midfield, as he has been instrumental in Lazio’s attacking play and defensive solidity.
Fans are hoping that Zaccagni will be able to recover in time for the match, but there is growing concern that he may not be ready to take the field. His absence would be a big loss for Lazio, who are looking to secure a top-four finish in Serie A this season.
The team will need to find a way to cope without Zaccagni if he is unable to play, and they will be hoping that other players can step up in his absence. The clash against Cagliari is a crucial one for Lazio, and they will need to be at their best if they are to come away with a positive result.
Stay tuned for updates on Zaccagni’s status ahead of the match, as Lazio fans hold their breath and hope for good news.

Preview: Cagliari vs. Lazio – prediction, team news, lineups
After suffering back-to-back defeats, Lazio will target maximum points on Monday, when they visit Serie A strugglers Cagliari.
Beaten at home and in Europe, the Biancocelesti are now intent on regaining a top-four place, while their hosts are ultimately aiming to avoid relegation.
Following a run of five consecutive victories, Lazio have failed to win six of their last nine league matches, most recently losing at home to 10-man Fiorentina.
Despite having an extra player for most of the second half, Marco Baroni‘s men could not break through until a stoppage-time strike by Adam Marusic that proved too late to get them back into the contest.
Then, on Thursday night, the Biancocelesti wrapped up their league-phase campaign in the Europa League with a 1-0 defeat in Braga – albeit their knockout place had already been booked with two rounds remaining.
In spite of suffering their first continental loss of the season, Lazio still topped the table and swept straight through to the last 16 without needing a playoff.
With four weeks to go until a Coppa Italia quarter-final against Inter Milan, swiftly followed by their return to Europe, the Rome club can now concentrate fully on the league.
Unbeaten in 19 Serie A matches against Cagliari – winning 16 times and averaging 2.3 goals per game in the process – history will weigh heavily on their side in Sardinia.
In fact, Lazio could now set a new club record, having never posted a longer run without defeat against any opponent in their top-flight history – they also managed 19 against Inter, between 1996 and 2005.

In addition to a 2-1 loss in November’s reverse fixture at Stadio Olimpico, Cagliari have lost each of their last five home matches against Lazio by an aggregate score of 12-3.
Though the Isolani have accrued seven points from their last four matches, keeping them just above the drop zone, the odds are therefore stacked against claiming any more on Monday.
After last week’s 2-0 away defeat to Torino, Cagliari have lost nine games without scoring in Italy’s top tier this season, and no team has done so on more occasions.
With only two clean sheets kept so far, their defensive record is no better, and a weakness at set pieces will be of particular concern for coach Davide Nicola – a proven past master in terms of securing Serie A survival.
No side has conceded more goals from dead-ball situations (14), while Lazio have scored 13 – only fewer than Inter.
Furthermore, Cagliari have been beaten in five of 11 home games this season, which is already just one defeat fewer than through the whole of last season, when they only stayed up by a whisker.

Lazio made several changes in midweek, as Marco Baroni always rotates his squad for Europa League fixtures, and Serie A regulars Nicolo Rovella and Mattia Zaccagni were both suspended.
Furthermore, Matteo Guendouzi was replaced by Spanish centre-back Mario Gila in midfield, but the France international is expected to recover from an illness and should start in Sardinia.
Full-backs Nuno Tavares and Manuel Lazzari will again join Patric and Matias Vecino on the sidelines due to injury.
Meanwhile, Cagliari’s sole concern regards Zito Luvumbo, who has yet to return from an ankle problem that has ruled him out of six games so far.
Despite interest from other clubs, the Rossoblu have held on to Razvan Marin: he has been directly involved in five Serie A goals this season, four of which have come as a substitute.
Once again, the Romanian midfielder will fight it out with Alessandro Deiola, Michel Adopo and Antoine Makoumbou for selection in the hosts’ engine room.
Cagliari possible starting lineup:
Caprile; Zappa, Mina, Luperto, Obert; Zortea, Makoumbou, Marin, Felici; Gaetano; PiccoliLazio possible starting lineup:
Provedel; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Rovella; Isaksen, Dia, Zaccagni; Castellanos
We say: Cagliari 1-3 Lazio
Curiously, Lazio are the only side yet to draw away from home in Serie A – an unprecedented record for the capital club at this stage of a season.
That run should continue, as they will have the bit between their teeth after successive defeats, while Cagliari are often found wanting at both ends of the pitch.

Cagliari will face off against Lazio in an exciting Serie A clash this weekend. Both teams will be looking to secure a crucial victory in this match, as they aim to climb up the league table.Prediction:
Lazio are currently in good form and will be the favorites heading into this match. They have a strong attacking lineup and are capable of scoring goals against any opposition. Cagliari, on the other hand, have struggled defensively and may struggle to contain Lazio’s attacking threat. We predict a 2-1 win for Lazio in this match.Team news:
Cagliari will be without the services of their star striker, Joao Pedro, who is sidelined with an injury. However, they will have the rest of their squad available for selection.Lazio will be missing several key players due to injuries, including Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Despite these absences, they still have a strong squad and will be confident of getting a positive result.
Lineups:
Cagliari: Cragno, Pisacane, Godin, Carboni, Zappa, Marin, Nandez, Rog, Nainggolan, Sottil, Pavoletti.Lazio: Reina, Marusic, Acerbi, Radu, Fares, Leiva, Parolo, Luis Alberto, Akpa Akpro, Correa, Muriqi.

Sports Mole previews Sunday’s Serie A clash between Lazio and Fiorentina, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
After back-to-back wins kept them fourth in Serie A and ensured progress in Europe, Lazio will host faltering Fiorentina on Sunday.
The Biancocelesti swept past Hellas Verona before slaying 10-man opponents to stay top of the Europa League, but their Tuscan counterparts still await a first win of 2025.

Their knockout place already confirmed with two rounds remaining, Europa League leaders Lazio welcomed Real Sociedad to Stadio Olimpico on Thursday evening, when direct entry to the last 16 was safely secured.
Mario Gila‘s early goal had put the Rome club on course for victory before their Basque visitors were reduced to 10 men, and further strikes from captain Mattia Zaccagni and top scorer Taty Castellanos wrapped up a 3-1 win.
Still unbeaten in continental competition, the Biancocelesti top the standings by three points, meaning they can afford to take their foot off the gas in next week’s league-phase finale, away to Braga.
A few days earlier, Lazio had put three past Verona at Stadio Bentegodi, with Zaccagni finding the net against his old club, so they can now target their first consecutive Serie A wins since November.
Marco Baroni‘s men had been on the fringes of title contention until suffering a dip last month – most notably losing the Derby della Capitale to arch-rivals Roma – and they have taken just one point from their last three league games at the Olimpico.
Nonetheless, they are still very much in the mix for Champions League qualification, while a meeting with Inter Milan awaits in February’s Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
With no losses and six wins from their last eight home games against Fiorentina, precedent also suggests that they can prevail again this weekend.
© Imago
However, the visitors will have other plans, as after a 2-1 win in September’s reverse fixture, Fiorentina could finally do the double over Lazio for the first time since 2013.
Recent results indicate they face an uphill struggle, as head coach Raffaele Palladino has seen his team’s form nosedive over the past few weeks.
Although star striker Moise Kean gave Fiorentina the lead against 10-man Torino last time out, they failed to hold on and end a worrying winless streak – despite playing for nearly an hour with one extra player.
Following a disappointing 1-1 home draw, the Tuscan club have won none of their last six league games, equalling their worst such streak since late 2020.
The Viola’s mid-season slump has also featured defeat to rock-bottom Monza, plus a three-goal beating by Napoli, leaving them sixth in Serie A – now six points adrift of Lazio.
Already out of the Coppa Italia, and with the Conference League on hiatus, they must now try to turn things around in Italy’s top flight, but a tough test awaits on Sunday.

Lazio may make a handful of changes to the team that started against Real Sociedad, with Ivan Provedel set to replace cup goalkeeper Christos Mandas.
Samuel Gigot and Luca Pellegrini will both return from suspension, and the latter could fill in at left-back if assist specialist Nuno Tavares fails to recover from a knee injury.
Manuel Lazzari, Patric and Matias Vecino are still sidelined by muscular problems, but new signing Arijon Ibrahimovic should start on the bench.
Taty Castellanos and Boulaye Dia – the latter of whom has scored in his last two league games and has previously netted a hat-trick against Fiorentina – usually join forces up front, while Moise Kean leads the Viola’s attack.
Kean is just one goal shy of equalling his best-ever league tally of 13, for Paris Saint-Germain in 2020-21; incidentally, nine of his dozen Serie A strikes so far have come during the first half.
Fiorentina’s only fitness concerns are Andrea Colpani (ankle) and Danilo Cataldi (thigh). If the latter cannot start, then Amir Richardson, Rolando Mandragora and recent arrival Michael Folorunsho – a boyhood Lazio fan – will compete to partner Yacine Adli in midfield.
Italy Under-21s right-back Michael Kayode has just joined Brentford on loan, but Dodo is Raffaele Palladino’s first choice in any case.
Lazio possible starting lineup:
Provedel; Marusic, Romagnoli, Gila, Pellegrini; Rovella, Guendouzi; Isaksen, Dia, Zaccagni; CastellanosFiorentina possible starting lineup:
De Gea; Dodo, Pongracic, Ranieri, Gosens; Adli, Mandragora; Gudmundsson, Folorunsho, Sottil; Kean
We say: Lazio 2-1 Fiorentina
As well as being imperious in Europe, Lazio have lost just once as hosts all season, so an off-colour Fiorentina team are unlikely to defeat them.
The Biancocelesti have also scored the most goals during the last 15 minutes in Serie A – 13 so far – meaning they will fight right through to the final whistle.
