    “Now today, the episode ‘randomly’ gets leaked. The price of $HAWK is pumping, and they completely fumbled the bag, yet again,” Banks wrote, accusing Welch’s team of insider trading and mishandling the situation.

    Welch has yet to issue a statement on the podcast leak, and the episode remains absent from her YouTube channel. With renewed scrutiny on her crypto dealings, the controversy surrounding Welch and her failed meme coin shows no signs of slowing down.

  • The ‘Fantastic Four’ First Trailer Release Date Has Leaked


    There has been a rumor that the Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer would debut during the Super Bowl on February 9 in one of those coveted ad slots. But a new leak indicates either that’s not the case, or if so, it will be the second time the trailer airs.

    A now-deleted listing from the Good Morning America weekly schedule says that the Fantastic Four trailer is meant to air on that show on Tuesday, February 4. That does not appear to be a random choice as well, the date is…F4. Fantastic Four. You get it. Here is the listing that first premiered:

    “Shop GMA series with “GMA” lifestyle contributor Lori Bergamotto featuring Valentine’s Day gift ideas; the debut of the “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” movie trailer; nutritionist Rachel Beller discusses foods that keep cancer at bay; day two of American Heart Month with ABC News chief medical correspondent Dr. Tara Narula and information about heart health risk factors; “GMA” February book club pick.”

    I imagine that the idea is that given how hyped up trailer release dates get for things like big MCU movies, Disney does not want that revealed in Good Morning America show notes, hence the near-instant removal. My guess is that plans are not being changed and it will still air there, rather they’re just trying to cover it up and hope the majority of the public won’t notice. Most probably will not notice, if they’re not keeping up religiously with breaking online-only internet developments like this.

    As for the Super Bowl, it may make more sense to premiere the trailer on Good Morning America rather than shelling out for a Super Bowl spot, which does not have a small price tag. We have to assume the trailer is probably going to be two minutes long or so, and that is…a lot of ad space. However, I think what could happen is the GMA premiere is paired with some sort of shorter teaser at the Super Bowl which will have a much wider audience than a random episode of a morning show.

    The Fantastic Four: First Steps will debut on July 25, 2025, and with the arrival of Marvel’s first family, it will be the most significant addition of characters to the MCU in many, many years, and set up plotlines for the next two Avengers movies. It stars hugely popular actors right now, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing, respectively.

    This is a big moment for the MCU, a first real look at these very important characters. As of now, expect that trailer Tuesday morning, and even if you’re not watching GMA, it will obviously be on the internet right after that.

    Original story 1/29/25: The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is reportedly canceling all future LGBTQ+ Pride observances, along with a host of other significant events for marginalized communities, according to a leaked internal memo obtained by independent journalist Ken Klippenstein.

    Klippenstein, a former reporter for The Intercept (and sometime Twitter prankster), posted the memo on social media Wednesday, claiming that an intelligence official had leaked a photo of it directly to him. According to the document, which appears to have been stamped January 28 and bears a letterhead with DIA and Department of Defense seals, the agency is putting an indefinite “pause” on at least 11 “Special Observances” scheduled annually between January and November.

    That list includes the entirety of Pride Month, federally observed in June since 1999. Other canceled observances include Black History Month in February, Women’s History Month in March, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May, and Juneteenth on June 19. Women’s Equality Day on August 26, National Hispanic Heritage Month and Disability Employment Awareness Month in October, and National American Indian Heritage Month in November are also canceled, as well as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and any Holocaust Remembrance Days, according to the leaked memo.

    Them attempted to contact the DIA’s Public Affairs office to confirm the leaked memo’s authenticity, but did not receive a reply at time of writing. The department forms the intelligence wing of the Department of Defense, and is the “primary manager and producer of foreign military intelligence” in the U.S. government, according to its website.

    “DIA will pause all activities and events related to Special Emphasis Programs effective immediately and until further notice,” the memo reads. (“Special emphasis programs” are employment programs within the federal government that, as the name implies, place special emphasis on marginalized communities like people of color, disabled people, and LGBTQ+ people.) The DIA will also be pausing “Agency Resource Groups, Affinity Groups, and Employee Networking Groups, effective immediately” upon issuance of the memo.

  • With leaked footage from the inside, Sundance doc shows horrifying conditions in Alabama prisons


    PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Incarcerated men in the Alabama prison system risked their safety to feed shocking footage of their horrifying living conditions to a pair of documentary filmmakers. The result is “The Alabama Solution,” which premiered this week at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City.

    Filmmakers Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman became interested in Alabama prisons in 2019. Jarecki, the filmmaker behind “The Jinx” and “Capturing the Friedmans,” and Kaufman first gained access to the restricted grounds through a visit with a chaplain during a revival meeting held in the prison yards. There men pulled them aside and whispered shocking stories about the reality of life inside: forced labor, drugs, violence, intimidation, retaliation and the undisclosed truths behind many prisoner deaths.

    The Associated Press has written extensively about the problems in the state’s prison system, including high rates of violence, low staffing, a plummeting parole rate and the use of pandemic funds to build a new supersized prison.

    This process eventually led them to incarcerated activists Melvin Ray and Robert Earl Council (also known as “Kinetik Justice”) who had for years been trying to expose the horrifying conditions and deep- seated corruption across the system. They helped feed dispatches to the filmmakers with contraband cellphones.

    “We’re deeply concerned for their safety, and we have been since the first time we met them,” said Kaufman. “They’ve been doing this work for decades and as you see in the film, they’ve been retaliated against in very extreme ways. But there are lawyers who are ready to do wellness checks and visit them and respond to any sort of retaliation that may come.”

    On Tuesday at the first showing of the film, she had Council on the phone listening in. They put the microphone up to the cellphone so that Council could speak.

    “We thank you all for listening, for being interested,” Council said. “On behalf of the brothers of Alabama, I thank you all.”

    Several family members of their incarcerated subjects were also in the audience, including Sandy Ray, the mother of Steven Davis, who died in 2019 at William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility, his face beaten beyond recognition. Prison officials said Davis was killed in self-defense because he didn’t put down his weapons. The prisoners tell a vastly different story.

    Alelur “Alex” Duran, who spent 12 years in prison in New York, also helped produce the film. Jarecki said they wouldn’t have taken on the subject without the expertise of someone who had been incarcerated.

    “What you’re seeing in this film is going on all over the nation,” Duran said.

    Also embedded in the story is Alabama’s long history of contracting prisoners to do work at private companies from Burger King to Best Western, an issue that the AP investigated for over two years. The cheap, reliable labor force has generated more than $250 million for the state since 2000 — money garnished from prisoners’ paychecks, the AP wrote in December. Parole numbers have also plummeted in recent years.

    “We want to show viewers the truth about a system that has been cloaked in secrecy,” Jarecki said. “We hope the film sparks an effort to allow access for journalists and others so the public can have transparency into how incarcerated citizens are treated and how our tax dollars are being spent. We hope to inspire Alabama’s leadership to acknowledge the crisis and to overhaul its prison system and its use of forced labor.”

    The film will have a theatrical release before it debuts on HBO sometime this year, but the specific dates and details are still being worked out. And while it is in its early days, the impact, Jarecki said, has already been seen, including in a class action labor lawsuit.

    We may have gotten an early peek at Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4, courtesy of photos and a video shared by a leaker via X. The photos and clip, posted by an account dubbed Majin Bu, show off what are allegedly two models — or more likely, two dummy units — of the SE 4.

    The four photos reveal two phones, one black and one white, with a single camera sticking out from the base. The video clip takes us on a more comprehensive tour, revealing both the front and rear.

    Though the clip is brief, we can catch a USB-C port at the bottom, no Home button, and what looks like a simple notch at the top. In a reply to his post, Bu confirmed the notch, claiming Apple had a project with the Dynamic Island on the phone but that this model will come with the notch instead.

    As for the release date, Bu said that the goal is to launch it toward the start of April, as long as everything goes according to plan. If so, that would mark Apple’s first major iPhone release of 2025.
