Hogwarts Legacy mod support release date and time for magical new feature | Gaming | Entertainment
Harry Potter fans will be thrilled to hear that video game spinoff Hogwarts Legacy is about to get a magical new update.
Available for PC users on Steamand Epic Games Store, the new update adds mod support to Hogwarts Legacy.
Available completely free of charge, Hogwarts Legacy mod support has a January 30 release date. Expect the update to drop at around midday.
The news was announced by Portkey Games, alongside a preview video about what to expect.
“The keys to the castle are now in the hands of the Community!” reads a Steam post.
“In the latest FREE update to Hogwarts Legacy, PC Modding will now be officially supported with the release of our Creator Kit and in-game Mod Manager. Itβs time to conjure up a whole new Hogwarts and live the unwritten like never before!”
As you can see from the video below, fans will be able to download the Creator Kit, which should simplify the procedure.
For starters, players will be able to make small changes like adding new hairstyles to the game, or changing appearances.
On the other end of the scale, modders can even create entire dungeons, and conjure up new quests.
Modding can also add things like magic carpet rides, new brooms, and even additional items.
Modders can upload their creations by creating an account with Warner Bros. A selection of pre-made mods will also be available at launch, just to get the creative juices flowing.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world RPG set long before the events of the Harry Potter books and films.
Players must attend classes and learn new skills, such as casting spells, creating potions and identifying beasts. That’s on top of attempting to save the entire wizarding world.

The Australian-born actor died at age 28 on January 22, 2008, following an accidental drug overdose. Police investigating a funeral directors in Hull have passed a file containing more than 13,000 exhibits to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
Officers removed 35 bodies and a quantity of ashes from the premises of Legacy Independent Funeral Directors following a report of “concern for care of the deceased” on 6 March 2024.
Assistant Chief Constable Thom McLoughlin, of Humberside Police, said the families of the deceased had been informed of the development, which followed “a meticulous 10-month investigation”.
Two people, who were arrested last year in connection with the investigation, remain on bail.
The CPS will now review the file of evidence and consider whether to bring charges.
ACC McLoughlin said it had been a “comprehensive and lengthy” inquiry “as we have diligently and sensitively handled each line of enquiry with the families who have suffered an untold amount of grief, heartache and distress”.
He thanked the families for their “unwavering patience and co-operation”.
Their support had been “invaluable” as officers gathered information “in the hope of seeking the answers they want and deserve”.
ACC McLoughlin said the force remained “committed to keeping those families affected at the heart of this investigation”.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on 9 March last year on suspicion of prevention of a lawful and decent burial, fraud by false representation and fraud by abuse of position.
A 54-year-old woman was arrested in July on suspicion of money laundering offences.
Both remain on conditional police bail, the force confirmed.
Emma Hardy, the MP for Hull West and Haltemprice, thanked officers for “their meticulous work”.
“It’s been a long wait for progress for those affected by these horrific crimes, so I’m sure this news will provide relief,” she said.
“I want to pay tribute to those who have been affected. You have shown us all the true meaning of resilience and community in the most difficult circumstance.”
Julie Butcher, senior operations manager at Victim Support, said the charity was continuing to support those affected, including via a dedicated phone line, on 08082811136.

Alexandra Pelosi, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, called out first lady Jill Biden and suggested “Lady McBiden” think about President Biden’s legacy.
“If I was Lady McBiden, Iβd put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husbandβs legacy,” the former speaker’s daughter told Politico’s Jonathan Martin in a column published on Sunday, noting that she was only speaking for herself. “There arenβt that many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi is one of them.”
Nancy Pelosi had tried to speak to the president following his late-July decision to exit the race, but had “repeatedly been met with the same response from the presidentβs top advisers: The answer is no,” according to the Politico column.

The media appearance was seen as another opening for the president to drop out of the race, which ultimately did happen.
After Vice President Kamala Harris lost the election, Pelosi suggested Biden should have dropped out sooner. Biden has since expressed regret over dropping out and has insisted that he could have beaten Trump.
“Sheβs been told theyβre not over it, donβt make more overtures because heβs blaming her,” a person familiar with the back-and-forth between Pelosi and Biden’s aides told Politico.

First lady Jill Biden spoke to the Washington Post in an exit interview published Jan. 15 and suggested she was disappointed in Nancy Pelosi over the role she played in influencing Biden to drop out of the race.
“Itβs been on my mind a lot lately, and β” the first lady told the Post. “We were friends for 50 years. It was disappointing.”
“Letβs just say I was disappointed with how it unfolded,” she said, speaking generally. She also expressed confidence in her husband’s ability to serve another term.
The first lady’s office and former Speaker Pelosi’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Before he lost his title to Islam Makhachev at UFC 280, Charles Oliveira was on his way to becoming the greatest lightweight of all time. After all, the Brazilian was on an eleven-fight tear and had slayed a barrage of former champions. This was until Makhachev absolutely dominated him and submitted him in the second round three years ago.
But fan-favorite UFC analyst Chael Sonnen feels that Oliveira, prior to losing the title, was inching closer to perhaps eclipsing even the greatest 155-pounder of all time- Khabib Nurmagomedov.
βCharles Oliver fought both of those guys [Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje], Khabib had fought both of those guys. Khabib finished both guys, Charles finished both guys. But Charles finished them and I canβt remember off the top of my head, but it was like a minute and four seconds faster collectively-Β the time that they spent out there,βΒ Sonnen said on his official YouTube channel.

Indeed, Gaethje and Poirier were the best opponents on Nurmagomedovβs resume when he retired in 2020, and Oliveira beat them in around fourteen minutes collectively, while βThe Eagleβs total fight time against them was over eighteen minutes. If one focuses on that fact alone (as Sonnen does) one could well say that Oliveira was comparable, or perhaps even better than Nurmagomedov.

However, with the common denominator of Poirier and Gaethje, Sonnen thinks that the Oliveira-Nurmagomedov debate made eminent sense since they both fought in the same era. In the end, Makhachevβs one-sided victory over Oliveira ended that debate entirely, but there is a chance that βDo Bronxβ might regain his rightful place in history by the end of this year.

Charles Oliveira next in line if Makhachev beats Tsarukyan
Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan will fight for the vaunted UFC lightweight title at UFC 311 this Saturday. If the Dagestani wins, a long-awaited rematch between him and Oliveira will probably be next. After all, there are no clear title contenders, other than Oliveira, in the division at the moment.
And that rematch is likely to be the most important fight of the Brazilianβs career. After all, if he can beat Makhachev, he would have a claim to being the best of his generation.
