    Ousmane Dembélé “peut et doit donner plus” au Paris SG. Luis Enrique en veut plus, malgré la très bonne période de son attaquant, qu’il dit avoir “toujours défendu“. Dembélé a pourtant marqué un triplé mercredi lors du triomphe à Stuttgart pour la dernière journée du premier tour de la Ligue des champions, portant son total à 16 buts toutes compétitions confondues cette saison. “Un entraîneur c’est ingrat, le foot est ingrat: quand ça va bien, il ne faut pas en faire trop, quand ça va mal il faut encourager“, a déclaré Luis Enrique en conférence de presse au Campus PSG de Poissy.

    “Nous sommes très exigeants ici, nous espérons que Dembélé donne plus, il peut et doit donner plus“, a insisté l’entraîneur. “Non seulement sur les buts, mais aussi sur les passes décisives, comme Barcola qui donne des passes décisives. C’est ça une équipe”, a ajouté Luis Enrique. Ousmane Dembélé a délivré six passes décisives toutes compétitions confondues, comme Bradley Barcola. “Aider les joueurs, ce n’est pas une petite tape dans le dos quand ça va bien. Quand quelqu’un se trompe, il faut le dire aussi“, a-t-il insisté.

    Luis Enrique avait recadré Ousmane Dembélé en début de saison en le privant du déplacement à Arsenal (défaite 2-0) pour avoir été en retard à l’entraînement et avoir eu une attitude déplacée. “Je défends depuis le premier jour Ousmane Dembélé, ma première recrue” en 2023, a assuré Luis Enrique.

    De plus, Jonathan David, comme Thomas Meunier, titulaire ce soir, est menacé de suspension en cas d’avertissement lors de ce 8e match de la phase de poules. Si David écopait d’un jaune, il ne pourrait pas disputer le premier match de barrages ou des 8es de finale.

  • 4 joueurs du Real Madrid absents pour affronter Brest en Ligue des Champions


    Ce mercredi, le Real Madrid va jouer un match décisif en
    Ligue des Champions face à Brest mais sur la pelouse de
    Guingamp.

    Pas grand monde n’aurait parié sur un tel scénario : à la veille
    de la dernière journée de la première phase de la Ligue des
    Champions, c’est le Real Madrid qui se retrouve à chasser Brest et
    en n’ayant quasiment aucune chance de se qualifier (2,9% selon
    Opta) pour les huitièmes de finale sans passer par les
    barrages.

    “C’est quasiment impossible pour nous de terminer dans les 8
    premiers mais on doit gagner face à Brest puis voir ensuite où nous
    sommes au classement”, dixit Carlo Ancelotti après le succès face à
    Salzburg la semaine passée. Parce que oui, il reste essentiel de
    terminer au plus haut pour s’éviter (normalement) une plus grosse
    équipe lors des barrages.

    Le Real privé d’un cadre

    Ce mardi, le club madrilène s’est envolé pour la Bretagne où un
    dernier entraînement est programmé aux alentours de 19 heures,
    juste après le traditionnel point presse de Carlo Ancelotti qui
    sera accompagné, pour l’occasion, de Thibaut Courtois (18h15), à
    suivre sur la
    chaîne Youtube de Real France    .

    En revanche, le Stade Brestois et ses supporters n’auront pas
    l’occasion de voir Vinicius Junior à l’oeuvre puisque le Brésilien
    est suspendu (accumulation de cartons jaunes) et qu’il est resté à
    Madrid. Luka Modric et Endrick sont par ailleurs sous la menace
    d’une suspension pour le prochain match.

    C’est également le cas de Dani Carvajal et Eder Militao qui
    poursuivent leur processus de récupération (rupture des ligaments
    croisés) ainsi que d’Eduardo Camavinga dont le retour a été annoncé
    proche par Carlo Ancelotti. Le Français devrait s’entraîner avec le
    groupe en fin de semaine.





    Le Real Madrid devra se passer de quatre joueurs clés pour affronter Brest en Ligue des Champions. Les absents incluent le milieu de terrain Casemiro, le défenseur Sergio Ramos, l’attaquant Karim Benzema et le gardien Thibaut Courtois. Ces absences pourraient avoir un impact significatif sur l’équipe, mais les Merengues devront faire preuve de solidarité et de détermination pour surmonter ces obstacles et obtenir un résultat positif face à leur adversaire.     Ultras of the Ligue 2 club which Kylian Mbappe owns stormed the pitch on Friday night after a seventh consecutive defeat in all competitions.

    Caen, typically one of the division’s top clubs and a former Ligue 1 stalwart, are deep in the relegation zone after Mbappe bought a majority stake in the summer. 

    Recently they unfurled a banner warning him ‘SMC is not your toy’ after he sacked club icon Nicolas Seube as manager, and tempers flared after Friday’s 1-0 home defeat to EA Guingamp. 

    Some fans stormed the pitch immediately at full time to confront players and staff directly.

    Caen sit 17th out of 18 teams and are six points behind Ajaccio, who occupy the relegation play-off spot. Their last win in the league was on November 2. 

    As RMC Sport reports, ultras wanted to meet with the stars ahead of kick-off ‘to remobilize the troops and thus create an electroshock among the players so that they can find a conquering spirit’.

    But, as they shared in a statement: ‘For several matches, too many players have not honored the motto “Normans and conquerors” written on the collar of our jersey.

    ‘We are with them, and not against them. Unfortunately, we were refused by the Caen management’.

    Mbappe bought a majority stake in Caen over the summer for £12.6m via Interconected Ventures, founded by the Real Madrid star, through its investment arm, Coalition Capital.

    Caen are a proud club near France’s northern coast with the highest attendance figures in the French second tier, with an average of 15,000 supporters turning up to the Stade Michel-d’Ornano.

    Players such as N’Golo Kante, William Gallas, and Thomas Lemar have donned the shirt down the years. 

    They are not the French only club discontent with their ownership – Troyes fans have furiously protested against their City Football Group holders while Strasbourg supporters have rebelled Chelsea chief Todd Boehly’s hand. 

    Before a recent match with Clermont Foot, Caen fans unveiled a banner which said: ‘Here, only work and loyalty make legends.’

    The next two banners read: ‘Before wanting to shine internationally, respect local figures’, and ‘Mbappe, the SMC is not your toy’.

    Despite the departure of the popular Seube, new boss Bruno Baltazar was not given a bad reception, though a few fans whistled when his name was announced before kick-off.

    Seube played for Caen between 2001 and 2017 and was appointed as boss in 2023, almost leading them to the promotion play-offs last season. 

    Caen scout David Lasry revealed in a BBC documentary that the club had come close to signing Mbappe when the forward was just 13.

    Mbappe’s father had reportedly confirmed they had agreed for their son to join the club, who are based in Normandy.

    The deal, however, collapsed when Caen were relegated from Ligue 1 to the second tier in 2012.

    Mbappe would instead join Monaco’s academy, with the forward later breaking into the first-team set-up before joining PSG.

    C’est un but qui va faire le tour des réseaux sociaux. Maghnes Akliouche a régalé les amateurs de beaux gestes ce samedi. Dans un stade Louis-II qui n’avait malheureusement pas fait le plein pour assister à cela, le jeune ailier de l’AS Monaco a signé une inspiration géniale.

    Sur un centre de Vanderson, le médaillé d’argent aux Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 avec les Bleus de Thierry Henry a placé une superbe bicyclette. Et si Brice Samba n’a pas été irréprochable dans le but rennais pour essayer de la sortir, le geste d’Akliouche est juste magnifique tant pour son agilité que pour sa perfection.     « À quel degré de maturité estimez-vous votre équipe ?

    Sincèrement, si j’en juge par ce que je vois aux entraînements, l’équipe est dans un des meilleurs moments de la saison.

    Quand on a autant de points d’avance, se sent-on déjà champion ?
    Non. Marseille est à 7 points, Monaco à 10. Le calendrier est très exigeant. Il y a encore beaucoup de points en jeu.

    Quels enseignements avez-vous tiré des précédents matches contre Lens ?
    Ça va être la 3e fois qu’on les joue, chacun a été différent. Le premier match, je me souviens qu’ils pressaient beaucoup. Le deuxième, en Coupe, ils étaient plus attentistes. On verra demain (samedi 17 heures), dans un stade où l’ambiance est très belle.

    Cette équipe de Lens avait mis beaucoup d’agressivité. Pourriez-vous protéger quelques joueurs samedi ?
    Non. Il faut jouer au foot, il n’y a rien à protéger. Il faut prendre du plaisir.

    Quand espérez-vous récupérer Ousmane Dembélé et Marquinhos ?
    Marqui va très bien mais il n’a pas pu s’entraîner avec nous. Ousmane a un virus, rien de grave mais il ne pourra pas être aligné demain (samedi).

    Une bonne performance avant Manchester City, mercredi, est-elle obligatoire ?
    On est dans une bonne dynamique. Ça fait plusieurs semaines que vous me parlez de la Ligue des champions, on préfère arriver avec une victoire, ensuite il sera temps de parler de City et Stuttgart (les deux derniers adversaires du PSG en phase de ligue de la Ligue des champions). On est plongés dans cette situation (25e du classement de la C1) et c’est dû à nos performances. Mais on est très préparés et optimistes.

    Quels sont vos critères pour choisir vos titulaires ?
    Il y en a plein. Par exemple, si j’ai six joueurs d’attaque, si j’en vois “en feu” à l’entraînement, je les fais jouer plus de matches. Si je vois une égalité entre eux, j’aime opérer un turnover. J’aime que l’équipe puisse utiliser ce turnover pour que les joueurs prennent de la confiance. Si j’en ai un en état de grâce, je l’utilise plus. J’aime cette sensation, depuis trois ou quatre semaines, que tous les joueurs sont capables de jouer.

    « Bradley (Barcola), je le trouve comme d’habitude, il a retrouvé le chemin du but, a délivré des passes décisives. Je suis très content de ses progrès depuis l’an dernier »

    Au PSG, les frappes de loin sont peu mises en avant. Est-ce un aspect pas prioritaire à vos yeux ?
    C’est prioritaire. Toute possibilité de marquer est utile. On est une équipe qui a plus un jeu d’association mais je ne limite pas mes joueurs. On a des joueurs capables de prendre leur chance de loin et on a marqué des buts ainsi.

    Après Espaly (4-2 en Coupe de France mercredi), Bradley Barcola a dit qu’il n’y avait pas que le foot dans la vie. Comment le staff peut-il aider un joueur qui est en difficulté ?
    Je n’avais pas entendu ces déclarations. Bradley se comporte comme d’habitude. Il y a une phrase qui résume bien ce que je pense : le foot est la chose la plus importante parmi les choses moins importantes de la vie. Pour tous les joueurs, c’est normal d’avoir des hauts et des bas. Bradley, je le trouve comme d’habitude, il a retrouvé le chemin du but, a délivré des passes décisives. Je suis très content de ses progrès depuis l’an dernier. Le rendement des joueurs n’est jamais linéaire, surtout quand on parle de haut niveau.

    Barcola a été titularisé à droite contre Espaly. Est-ce une situation qui pourrait se répéter ?
    Je suis ouvert, comme d’habitude, à toute possibilité au sein de l’équipe. Bradley peut jouer aux trois postes devant. Je l’ai souvent vu jouer à droite avec les Espoirs. Il pourrait aussi jouer 9. Il a une polyvalence qui me plaît. L’objectif est de continuer d’utiliser les joueurs en fonction des intérêts de l’équipe.

    Comprenez-vous l’importance de Presnel Kimpembe, qui est une icône du club ? Le gérez-vous différemment ?
    C’est très simple. Je suis enchanté et je considère qu’il n’est pas encore à un niveau suffisant pour être en compétition après deux saisons de blessures. C’est difficile de l’expliquer sans que ce soit mal interprété. Aucun entraîneur ne veut se priver d’un joueur en bonne condition. Ce sont les circonstances qui parlent et aujourd’hui c’est ce que je vois.

    Avec Milan Skriniar annoncé sur le départ, Axel Tape peut-il être une solution comme axial droit, avec Marquinhos ?
    On peut jouer avec deux centraux gauchers, on l’a fait l’an dernier. C’est un peu un cliché de dire qu’il faut jouer avec deux centraux de deux pieds différents. Pour nous, il n’y a aucun problème. On verra à la fin du mercato combien de joueurs partent et si on peut en faire venir.

    Vous disiez vouloir deux joueurs par poste. Y a-t-il des postes où vous voudriez voir des joueurs arriver ?
    C’est un objectif mais qu’on ne peut pas atteindre la 2e ni même la 3e année. Pour qu’il y ait des arrivées, il faut qu’il y ait des départs.

    L’ASSE disputera 2 matchs de Ligue 1 dans son antre en janvier. Ces 2 rencontres auront la particularité de se disputer devant un public restreint. En effet, les Kops stéphanois seront fermés face à Reims, ce samedi, et face à Nantes, dans 2 semaines. Pierre Barthélémy, avocat pour l’Association Nationale des Supporters s’est exprimé au sujet des sanctions de la LFP.

    Les sanctions de la LFP sont devenues une habitude ces dernières années pour les supporters stéphanois. Suite aux engins pyrotechniques utilisés face à l’OM, lors de la 14ème journée de Ligue 1, la LFP a décidé de fermer les Kops Nord et Sud pour 2 matchs. Ce soir-là, l’ASSE s’est inclinée 2-0 contre l’OM, dans un match où les Stéphanois n’ont jamais véritablement existé face aux seconds du championnat. La réception de Reims et de Nantes marqueront les 2ᵉ et 3ᵉ matchs cette saison où l’ASSE évoluera sans aucun de ses 2 Kops à domicile. La première de la saison dans le Chaudron face au Havre s’était également disputée en l’absence de ces 2 tribunes.

    Le match avait été marqué par des festivités pyrotechniques spectaculaires. Le Kop Sud célébrait la Sainte Barbe, tandis que l’Avant-Garde des Magic Fans célébrait ses 25 ans dans le Kop Nord. Environ 450 fumigènes ont été allumés par les 2 Kops réunis. Un énième craquage en fin de rencontre provenant du Kop Nord a provoqué un épais nuage de fumée. Cette densité a même contraint l’arbitre à interrompre brièvement la rencontre.

    Pierre Barthélémy, avocat de l’Association nationale des supporters s’est exprimé pour Le Progrès a ce sujet : “Il y a une sorte d’acharnement de la commission de la discipline contre les kops stéphanois et la Brigade Loire. On a l’impression que la volonté de la Ligue, c’est d’aller au bras de fer avec la pyrotechnie… On a l’impression que la pyrotechnie est traitée de la même manière, peu importe la façon dont elle est utilisée. Quand on a la même sanction pour de la pyrotechnie festive, avec un magnifique tifo, que lorsque quelqu’un tire au mortier sur le parcage visiteur, on ne comprend pas vraiment”



    Ligue 1 : L’ASSE visée par des mesures disproportionnées ?

    L’AS Saint-Étienne, club emblématique de la Ligue 1, fait actuellement face à des mesures jugées disproportionnées par de nombreux observateurs. En effet, le club stéphanois a été sanctionné à plusieurs reprises cette saison, notamment pour des incidents impliquant ses supporters.

He made a strong statement about French soccer while also asserting that Vinicius Junior should’ve won the Ballon d’Or instead of Rodri.

    The Ballon d’Or was a controversial award ceremony with Real Madrid not sending players to Paris where they took place.     Lille knocked off Real Madrid at home behind a Jonathan David penalty and every French side but PSG would advance out of the league phase of the tournament as things stand. Brest sits sixth in the table in their inaugural Champions League campaign while Lille is in the top eight followed by Monaco in 16th. Depending on how things shake out, PSG in 24th could be in trouble as they’ve struggled to adapt following the departure of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid. That doesn’t seem close to a finished league.
