  • ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Renewed For Season 4, Neve Campbell Returns

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has greenlighted a fourth season of its popular legal drama series The Lincoln Lawyer. The formal renewal comes three months after the release of Season 3 but fans shouldn’t worry about a delay — the 10-episode new season had been in the works for awhile, with production set to begin next month.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as Mickey Haller in Season 4, based on the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence.

Also coming back are Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), and Angus Sampson (Cisco) as well as Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson). After appearing in just two episodes of Season 3 as a guest star, Campbell will be in all episodes of the new season. That is consistent with the source material as Maggie has a significant presence in The Law of Innocence which is not the case with the novel The Gods of Guilt, on which Season 3 was based.

Created for television by David E. Kelley and developed for television by Ted Humphrey based on Connelly’s book series, The Lincoln Lawyer follows Mickey Haller (Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across Los Angeles.

Like the first three seasons before it, Season 4 is set to film in Los Angeles, a city which suffered tragic devastation this month from the Palisades and Eaton wildfires.

“We are so excited to tell more stories with Mickey Haller, and especially thrilled to once again be shooting The Lincoln Lawyer in Los Angeles at this time,” co-showrunners Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez said. “The show is in many ways a love letter to our city and an homage to the great tradition of LA noir, and after the tragedy of the fires we are so grateful and honored to be able to provide some stability and hope to the community.”

The Lincoln Lawyer was a big breakout when it launched in May 2022, with Season 1 spending 12 consecutive weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10. The A+E Studios-produced series has remained a sturdy performer, with the most recent third season logging 6 consecutive weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10 while also scoring a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series is executive produced by Kelley, co-showrunners Humphrey and Rodriguez, Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Matthew J. Lieberman and Gladys Rodriguez for A+E Studios. Its second season earned a ReFrame Stamp for gender-balanced hiring.

Exciting news for fans of the hit legal drama “The Lincoln Lawyer”! The show has officially been renewed for a fourth season, and to top it off, Neve Campbell is set to return to reprise her role as defense attorney Maggie McPherson.

Campbell’s performance in the previous seasons of the show has been praised by both critics and audiences alike, and her return for the upcoming season is sure to bring even more excitement and drama to the series.

“The Lincoln Lawyer” follows the story of criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller, played by Logan Marshall-Green, as he navigates the complex world of the Los Angeles legal system. The show is based on the bestselling novels by Michael Connelly and has garnered a dedicated fan base since its premiere.

With Campbell back on board and a new season in the works, fans can look forward to more gripping courtroom scenes, intriguing legal cases, and of course, the dynamic relationship between Maggie and Mickey.

Stay tuned for more updates on “The Lincoln Lawyer” season 4, and get ready for another thrilling ride through the halls of justice.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller will remain on the case for another season.

Netflix has announced a fourth season for David E. Kelley drama The Lincoln Lawyer, with production set to begin on 10 new episodes in February in Los Angeles. The upcoming season will be based on the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence.

Debuting on May 13, 1922, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s Mickey Haller is a defense attorney in Los Angeles who often works out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator. The cast of The Lincoln Lawyer also includes Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson (who has been upgraded to series regular for this next season).

“We are so excited to tell more stories with Mickey Haller, and especially thrilled to once again be shooting The Lincoln Lawyer in Los Angeles at this time,” said co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez in a statement. “The show is in many ways a love letter to our city and an homage to the great tradition of LA noir, and after the tragedy of the fires we are so grateful and honored to be able to provide some stability and hope to the community.”

    Insights

Lincoln Financial’s launch of two enhanced VUL products represents a strategic move to capitalize on the growing VUL market, where performance-based products accounted for 70% of VUL sales in 2023. The AssetEdge VUL (2025) introduces critical improvements, notably the Enhanced Overloan Protection Endorsement without upfront fees and earlier exercise ability starting at age 65. The removal of indexed account allocation thresholds in early policy years significantly enhances investment flexibility.

The new SVUL product fills a important market gap for estate planning and wealth transfer, particularly relevant for high-net-worth couples and business partnerships. The competitive short-pay pricing structure and no-lapse guarantee make it an attractive option for estate tax funding. The inclusion of hedged equity options and lower-fee model portfolios aligns with current market demands for cost-effective, diversified investment strategies within insurance products.

These product enhancements demonstrate Lincoln Financial’s adaptation to evolving market demands and tax planning needs. The removal of allocation restrictions and addition of hedged equity options provide greater portfolio customization potential, important in today’s volatile market environment. The Enhanced Overloan Protection feature, particularly with no upfront fee, addresses a key risk in heavily funded VUL policies, protecting against potential lapse scenarios that could trigger taxable events.

From a tax planning perspective, the SVUL product’s design is particularly noteworthy for estate planning, offering a tax-efficient mechanism for wealth transfer. The combination of market participation potential with death benefit protection creates a versatile tool for comprehensive financial planning, especially relevant given current estate tax thresholds and potential future tax law changes.

    • Providing for a lower no-lapse premium if the Lincoln Enhanced Allocation Rider4 is attached to the policy and active.

    Lincoln AssetEdge SVUL

Four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt did not have the USC Trojans in his top-10 schools when he released them in October, but he recently told On3’s Chad Simmons that the Trojans are still working hard in recruiting Dixon-Wyatt to USC. The talented receiver is being recruited by schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Miami, and Texas in addition to USC.

“They can for sure be a contender in my recruitment,” Dixon-Wyatt told Simmons. “I know their quarterback, Husan Longstreet. They run a really good offense. They’re pretty good.”

The Trojans are looking to get back into Dixon-Wyatt’s recruitment, and signing a five-star quarterback like Husan Longstreet in the 2025 recruiting class certainly helps. In 2026, USC is heavily involved with five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons.

Other schools to watch for Dixon-Wyatt are reportedly Oregon and Miami. The four-star recruit visited the Hurricanes and coach Mario Cristobal while in town for the Battle Miami 7v7 event. Dixon-Wyatt plans to visit Oregon later this month for the Ducks’ Junior Day event. According to Simmons, Oregon is near the top of the wide receiver’s recruitment.

Additionally, Dixon-Wyatt has scheduled a visit with USC for Feb. 1 as the Trojans continue to recruit him.

USC only has one wide receiver currently committed in the class of 2026, Ja’Myron Baker from Sierra Canyon (CA). However, the Trojans’ 2026 recruiting class features multiple commits from Southern California, including four-star cornerbacks RJ Sermons, from Rancho Cucamonga, and Brandon Lockhart, from Los Angeles.

The four-star wide receiver attends Mater Dei, a traditional powerhouse in Southern California high school football. In recent weeks, the USC coaching staff has had a strong presence at Mater Dei, recruiting Dixon-Wyatt and other talented athletes. Trojans coach Lincoln Riley has also visited high schools across California, including Oaks Christian to see four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux and four-star safety Davon Benjamin.

4-Star Kayden Dixon-Wyatt Compares USC Trojans’ Lincoln Riley, Texas’ Steve Sarkisian

In a recent interview, 4-star recruit Kayden Dixon-Wyatt shared his thoughts on the coaching styles of USC Trojans’ head coach Lincoln Riley and Texas Longhorns’ head coach Steve Sarkisian. Dixon-Wyatt, a highly sought-after wide receiver prospect, has received offers from both schools and is currently weighing his options.

When asked about Riley, Dixon-Wyatt praised the former Oklahoma coach’s offensive innovation and ability to develop quarterbacks. “Lincoln Riley is known for his high-powered offense and his ability to turn quarterbacks into stars,” said Dixon-Wyatt. “I think playing in his system would be a great opportunity to showcase my skills and potentially take my game to the next level.”

On the other hand, Dixon-Wyatt also had positive things to say about Sarkisian, who has a reputation for being a strong offensive mind and a great recruiter. “Steve Sarkisian has a proven track record of success in college football and has a great eye for talent,” said Dixon-Wyatt. “I think he could help me reach my full potential and achieve my goals as a player.”

Ultimately, Dixon-Wyatt will have a tough decision to make between two top-tier programs with talented coaches at the helm. USC and Texas are both prestigious programs with rich histories, and Dixon-Wyatt’s choice will come down to which coach and program he believes will best help him achieve his goals on and off the field. Stay tuned for updates on his recruitment process as he continues to weigh his options.

  • Reggie Bush identifies one change Lincoln Riley must make to fix USC

Things didn’t go USC football’s way in 2024. Despite thrilling victories over SEC opponents to begin and end the season, the Trojans underachieved massively. Reggie Bush thinks he knows why.

“One of the things that we didn’t see this year from the quarterback was that dual-threat component,” Bush said. “The quarterback has got to start running. I’m not saying the current guys can’t do it but they’ve got to start running because that opens up everything. That needs to be a message to the quarterback room. You guys aren’t just here to throw the football.”

Bush highlighted the dip in scoring production from Riley’s offenses, which are usually among the highest scoring in the country. After posting 41-point offenses in 2022 and 2023, the Trojans dipped to 30 points per game in 2024.

The questions around Miller Moss’s mobility followed USC into the season. Those concerns grew louder as the Trojans struggled in pass protection early in the season. Former UNLV quarterback Jayden Maiava ultimately took over the starting job in part because of his more dynamic skillset.

But even Maiava failed to utilize his legs as much as many Trojan fans — including Bush — would have wanted to see.

Designed runs for Maiava were few and far between. The fact that those rare runs were largely effective only made it more frustrating.

Maiava ran four times against Nebraska and Notre Dame. He carried the ball just twice against UCLA and Texas A&M. Not to compare Caleb Williams and Maiava in terms of rushing ability, but the former averaged eight carries per game in his two seasons with the Trojans.

Williams was willing to use his legs when he needed to and that made a difference for USC’s offense. Maiava needs to show that same kind of confidence in his running if he retains the starting job in 2025. Riley needs to show that same kind of confidence in letting his QB run in 2025 as well.

Bush spoke to FanSided on behalf of Modelo, the official beer sponsor of the College Football Playoff. At the start of the 2024 college football season, Reggie Bush and Modelo set out to recruit the ultimate group of dedicated fans to join “Team Modelo” and become “full-time fans.” Those fans have been chosen and will be at Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Atlanta. Before the game, those fans will sit down with Bush to give their “Fanfessionals” on the latest college football season.

Reggie Bush, former USC running back and Heisman Trophy winner, has identified one key change that new head coach Lincoln Riley must make in order to fix the struggling USC football program.

In a recent interview, Bush emphasized the importance of recruiting local talent to replenish the Trojans’ roster with top-tier players from Southern California. He pointed out that USC’s historical success was built on the backs of local stars, and that Riley must prioritize recruiting efforts in the region to bring back the glory days.

Bush highlighted the abundance of talent in the Los Angeles area and stressed the need for USC to lock down the best players in the state to compete at a national level. He believes that focusing on recruiting local talent will not only improve the team’s performance on the field, but also reinvigorate fan support and restore the program’s reputation.

With Lincoln Riley now at the helm, Reggie Bush’s advice could prove to be the key to turning around USC’s fortunes and bringing the Trojans back to national prominence. Only time will tell if Riley heeds Bush’s words and makes the necessary changes to fix USC.
