  • Projected Lineup: Jan. 25 vs. Dallas

Zack Bolduc will draw back into the lineup – and into the top six – when the St. Louis Blues host the Dallas Stars at Enterprise Center on Saturday night (6 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network, 101 ESPN).

Per Head Coach Jim Montgomery, Bolduc will skate alongside Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich for the Central Division matchup. Nathan Walker will be a scratch.

“It’s a great opportunity for him and a great opportunity for that line to create more offense,” Montgomery said.

Bolduc is in his first full season with the Blues after suiting up for 25 games late last year, but has found himself in and out of the lineup. However the 21-year-old forward sees this as a learning opportunity, and he’s taking advantage of it.

“The point of view is different for sure,” Bolduc said. “You see stuff and you try to learn watching the game upstairs and get little things that veteran guys are doing to make their game easier and create offense. So yeah, it helped me, and I’m still working a lot with the coaches and doing video.”

In addition to talks with Montgomery and the coaching staff, there’s another notable name who is helping Bolduc in his development. Former Blue, Stanley Cup champion and GM-in-waiting Alexander Steen sat with Bolduc during part of Thursday’s game, discussing plays with him and going over video.

“It’s great,” Bolduc said. “I’m a young player and I’ve just got to try to learn every day.”

As he returns to the lineup on Saturday, Bolduc is hoping to bring an offensive spark and take advantage of this opportunity to play with Thomas and Buchnevich.

“Try to play my game. Just got to skate and play fast,” Bolduc said. “I’m playing with two great playmakers, so I’ve got to be ready to shoot every time I’m on the ice.”

Defensive pairings are expected to remain the same and Jordan Binnington will start in net.

The lineup for the upcoming game against the Dallas Mavericks on January 25th is looking strong. Here is the projected lineup:

    Point Guard: Chris Paul
    Shooting Guard: Devin Booker
    Small Forward: Mikal Bridges
    Power Forward: Jae Crowder
    Center: Deandre Ayton

With a mix of veteran leadership and young talent, the Phoenix Suns are ready to take on the Mavericks and come out with a win. Stay tuned for updates on any changes to the lineup before game time. Let’s go Suns! #SunsAtMavs #NBA #ProjectedLineup

  • Real Madrid Predicted Lineup vs. Real Valladolid: La Liga

Real Madrid will look to extend their lead atop the La Liga table with a win against Real Valladolid.

Los Blancos are beginning to look nothing like the team that was trailing Barcelona by nine points in the first half of the 2024–25 La Liga season. Real Madrid have dropped points in just two of their last nine domestic fixtures and have scored 14 goals in their last three matches.

Before Carlo Ancelotti’s men can look ahead to their important Champions League game against Brest on Wednesday, they must first handle business against Real Valladolid. Real Madrid comfortably defeated the newly promoted side back in August and will expect a similar result against the team at the bottom of the standings.

The injured Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão are still unavailable for the clash, as well as Vinícius Júnior, who is serving the second game of his two-match La Liga ban. Real Madrid’s backline is in for a boost, though, as David Alaba is set to make his third consecutive appearance since returning from the ACL injury that kept him sidelined for over a year.

Here’s what Real Madrid’s XI could look like against Real Valladolid on Jan. 25.

JOIN SI SOCCER’S REAL MADRID WHATSAPP COMMUNITY – GET ALL THE LATEST NEWS AND ANALYSIS STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE

GK: Thibaut Courtois—Courtois will be eager to keep just his second clean sheet in 2025.

RB: Lucas Vázquez—The Spaniard is back from suspension and set to reprise his role on the right flank.

CB: Raúl Asencio—The 21-year-old has become a fine partner for Rüdiger, allowing Tchouaméni to return to the midfield and Alaba to take his time coming back from injury.

CB: Antonio Rüdiger—Expect the center back to be an early substitution for Alaba should Real Madrid have a significant lead over Real Valladolid.

LB: Fran García—The fullback should rejoin Ancelotti’s XI after not featuring in Los Blancos’ midweek Champions League fixture.

DM: Fede Valverde—The Uruguayan gets to return to the midfield after an impressive, emergency performance at right back.

DM: Aurélien Tchouaméni—The Frenchman missed the last two matches with discomfort in his left leg, but he should be fit to start on Saturday. If Ancelotti exercises caution with Tchouaméni, then Dani Ceballos will get the nod alongside Valverde.

RW: Brahim Díaz—The Moroccan scored his first goal in over a month in his last La Liga start.

AM: Jude Bellingham—Bellingham’s two assists against Salzburg helped the England international match Lionel Messi’s Champions League record for most goal contributions by a player under 22 years old.

LW: Rodrygo—The Brazilian gets to start in his preferred position with Vinícius Júnior suspended. Rodrygo is firing on all cylinders as of late, bagging five goals in his last five appearances.

ST: Kylian Mbappé—Mbappé will look to score in his fifth consecutive match. The France captain leads the team with 19 goals across all competitions.

Real Madrid Predicted Lineup vs. Real Valladolid: La Liga

Real Madrid will be looking to continue their impressive form in La Liga as they take on Real Valladolid this weekend. Zinedine Zidane will have some key decisions to make when it comes to selecting his starting lineup for the match.

Here is the predicted lineup for Real Madrid:

    Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Ferland Mendy

Midfielders: Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Vinicius Junior

Zidane may opt to rotate his squad slightly, with the likes of Isco and Marco Asensio pushing for a starting spot. However, with the importance of this match, it is likely that he will go with a strong lineup to secure all three points.

Real Madrid will be hoping to maintain their spot at the top of the La Liga table with a win against Real Valladolid. Stay tuned to see if this predicted lineup proves to be accurate on matchday.

  • Franz Wagner returns to Magic lineup after 20-game absence

Game Recap: Trail Blazers 101, Magic 79

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner returned to the lineup Thursday after missing 20 straight games with a torn oblique. He led the Magic with 20 points in Orlando’s 100-79 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Wagner and All-Star power forward Paolo Banchero will be paired for just the sixth time this season. Banchero missed 34 games with the same injury as Wagner before returning in late December.

Shooting 34.2%, the Magic lost their fifth straight and seventh of eight games. They were 16-9, a solid third in the East, when Wagner was injured. Thursday night’s loss dropped them to 23-23, eighth in the conference. They are 2-8 since Jalen Suggs injured his back.

“I think it’s gigantic,” Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley said. “We talk about the pieces coming back together, us being whole again, slowly but surely. … With all the standards he has set as a a leader, having him back is going to be big.”

The Magic went 7-13 without Franz Wagner, who played the expected 24 minutes on Thursday. Orlando also lost center Moritz Wagner, Franz’s older brother, to a season-ending knee injury, and Suggs, who missed his 10th game with a lower back strain.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

After a 20-game absence, Franz Wagner is finally set to return to the Orlando Magic lineup. The rookie forward has been sidelined with an ankle injury but is now ready to get back on the court and help his team compete.

Wagner, who has been a key contributor for the Magic this season, is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the team’s offense and defense. His versatility and ability to score from all areas of the court make him a valuable asset for Orlando.

Fans and teammates alike are excited to see Wagner back in action and are hopeful that his return will help the Magic turn things around after a tough stretch of games. With his energy and determination, Wagner is sure to make a significant impact as the Magic look to climb up the standings.

Welcome back, Franz Wagner! The Magic are thrilled to have you back on the court. Let’s get back to winning ways! #MagicBasketball #FranzWagner #WelcomeBack

  • The 2025 Railbird Festival Lineup is Here and It’s Underwhelming

You ready to rail some birds? Probably not after seeing the 2025 Railbird Music Festival lineup.

To be clear, this is Kentucky Sports Radio, not Kentucky Music Radio. We will not pretend to be tastemakers in the musical genre, but you don’t have to know much about contemporary popular music to wonder what’s going on with this year’s collection of acts at Railbird.

Lainey Wilson headlines the popular Lexington music festival on May 31. Bailey Zimmerman and Shaboozey will set the stage leading into the finale. The Red Clay Strays and Riley Green will have the honors the following day when Jelly Roll is the headliner.

Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll’s presence makes it clear that Railbird is taking a turn from its roots into popular country music.

The first event was hosted at Keeneland in 2019. It featured acts like Tyler Childers, Brandi Carlisle, Leon Bridges, Billy Strings, and My Morning Jacket. Bridges and MMJ returned in 2021, along with Dave Matthews, Jason Isbell, and a young Zach Bryan. That year was a logistical disaster with sweltering heat and a lack of cooling stations.

The event moved from Keeneland to The Infield at Red Mile in 2023. Aside from some parking challenges, most approved of the move and enjoy Zach Bryan and Nathaniel Rateliff. Despite some rainy weather last year, there was still plenty of enthusiasm for Hozier, Noah Kahan, and Chris Stapleton.

Notice anything about all of those musical acts? Those aren’t people you hear often on FM-radio. Call it alt, Americana, whatever you want to call it, Railbird had a distinct sound. They’re now pivoting to popular country music. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see how it plays out for them.

The 2025 Railbird Music Festival Lineup

Like what you see? Presale tickets will be available on Friday, Jan. 24.

Hey music lovers, the highly anticipated lineup for the 2025 Railbird Festival has been released, and to be honest, it’s pretty underwhelming. With headliners like OneRepublic, Train, and Nickelback, it’s safe to say that this year’s festival may not be living up to the hype.

While there are a few bright spots on the lineup, such as indie darlings Phoebe Bridgers and Mitski, overall, the lack of diversity and innovative acts is disappointing. Many fans were hoping for more exciting and boundary-pushing artists to grace the stage, but it seems like the organizers played it safe with this year’s lineup.

That being said, music is subjective, and there may be some fans who are thrilled with the lineup and can’t wait to see their favorite bands perform. But for those looking for something fresh and exciting, the 2025 Railbird Festival lineup may leave a little to be desired.

Let us know your thoughts on the lineup – are you excited for the artists performing, or do you think it’s a bit underwhelming? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

  • Kirill Kaprizov ‘just happy to come back’ after one-month absence from Wild lineup

“That was the most frustrating part,” Spurgeon said, “that last year you go through all that stuff and work your way back and feel healthy again, and all of a sudden something like that happens. So, I think that was the most frustrating part, just having to go back in the gym doing the same stuff all over again. It brings back some bad memories.”

Defenseman Jonas Brodin (lower body) and winger Marcus Johansson (concussion) are still on the mend, but this as close as the Wild have been to full strength since mid-November.

They went 7-5 without Kaprizov to stay in the top 10 in the league.

“We just try play same,” Kaprizov said. “We know how we play. We know our tactics. We know what we want to do. We just try to win games.”

Kirill Kaprizov, the star forward for the Minnesota Wild, is finally back in action after missing a month of gameplay due to injury. In a recent interview, Kaprizov expressed his excitement to be back on the ice with his teammates and to continue contributing to the team’s success.

“I’m just happy to come back and play with the guys again,” Kaprizov said. “It was tough being on the sidelines, but I’m feeling good now and ready to give it my all out there.”

Kaprizov’s return is a welcome sight for Wild fans, as he has been a key player for the team this season, leading in points and goals. His dynamic playmaking ability and scoring touch have been sorely missed during his absence, but now that he’s back, the Wild are hoping to make a strong push towards the playoffs.

With Kaprizov back in the lineup, the Wild are looking to build on their recent success and continue their climb up the standings. Fans can expect to see Kaprizov’s trademark highlight-reel plays and clutch performances as he looks to make up for lost time and help lead the Wild to victory.

Welcome back, Kirill Kaprizov – the Wild are thrilled to have you back on the ice!
