  • Tom McKibbin: Northern Ireland man confirms move to Saudi-backed LIV Golf

McKibbin becomes the second player from Northern Ireland to make the switch to LIV Golf, with 2010 US Open winner Graeme McDowell already part of a circuit that has several other major winners.

Those include current US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, plus Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith and Sergio Garcia.

The Holywood golfer has qualified for this year’s Open Championship, which will be held at Royal Portrush.

McKibbin turned professional in April 2021 and won his first DP World Tour event in June 2023 at the Porsche European Open in Germany. He also lost in a play-off at last year’s Italian Open.

His decision could jeopardise his prospects of securing a Ryder Cup debut this season, even though he was part of the Great Britain & Ireland team at the recent Team Cup in Abu Dhabi which Europe skipper Luke Donald used to look at player options for the biennial match against USA.

Speaking two weeks ago, former world number one McIlroy said he would find it “a little disappointing” if McKibbin did move to LIV.

“If I were in his position, which I think I have been before, and had his potential I wouldn’t make that decision,” McIlroy said.

“But I’m not him. I’m not in his shoes. He’s a grown man at this point and can make his own decisions.”

McIlroy added that he would continue to be a “fan” of the 22-year-old and “help him in whatever way I can”.

Tom McKibbin, a promising young golfer from Northern Ireland, has confirmed his move to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league. The 19-year-old rising star has shown great potential in the world of golf, and his decision to join the controversial new league has raised eyebrows in the golfing community.

McKibbin, who turned professional in 2020, has already made a name for himself on the junior circuit and is seen as one of the most promising young talents in the sport. His decision to join LIV Golf is seen as a bold move, as the league has faced criticism for its association with Saudi Arabia and its alleged attempts to disrupt the traditional golfing landscape.

Despite the controversy surrounding LIV Golf, McKibbin has expressed his excitement about the opportunity to compete against some of the best players in the world and showcase his skills on a global stage. Many fans and experts are eager to see how he will fare in the new league and whether he can continue his impressive rise in the world of professional golf.

As McKibbin prepares to embark on this new chapter in his career, there is no doubt that he will continue to be a player to watch in the golfing world. His talent, determination, and ambition make him a formidable competitor, and his move to LIV Golf will undoubtedly add an extra layer of intrigue to his already promising career.

  • Tom McKibbin officially teams with Jon Rahm as LIV Golf’s 2025 rosters are set

LIV Golf has made its final transaction for the upcoming season.

After weeks of rumors and reports, Tom McKibbin officially became the newest member of Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII on Wednesday. Rahm announced the addition of the 22-year-old McKibbin, who hails from the same Northern Ireland club as Rory McIlroy, via social-media video, welcoming him to the four-person squad that also includes Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt.

LIV’s season begins next week under the lights in Saudi Arabia.

McKibbin makes his move despite earning his PGA Tour card via the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai last fall. McKibbin had yet to make his rookie debut on the PGA Tour, though, instead making a pair of DPWT starts in the Middle East. He is currently ranked No. 106 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

McKibbin’s decision surprised McIlroy, who spoke with his mentee last year shortly after McKibbin received his first LIV offer.

“I said to him, ‘If I were in your shoes, I would make a different choice than the one you’re thinking of making,’” McIlroy told reporters earlier this month at the Dubai Desert Classic. “Working so hard to get your Tour card in the States, to achieve that goal last year was a big achievement. I think what he potentially is sacrificing and giving up with access to majors, potential Ryder Cup spot depending on how he would play … if I were in his position and I had his potential, which I think I have been before, I wouldn’t make that decision.

“Personally, for me, it would be a little disappointing if it were to happen but again, I made it perfectly clear: I’m not going to stand in your way if you need to make the decision you feel like you need to make for yourself. But at the same time, I feel like he’s giving up a lot to not really benefit that much.”

McKibbin is among six newcomers to LIV teams this year, along with Ben Campbell, Luis Masaveu, Frederik Kjettrup, Yubin Jang and LIV Promotions winner Max Lee.

Here are the complete rosters for 2025:

4ACES: Dustin Johnson, Thomas Pieters, Patrick Reed, Harold Varner III

CLEEKS: Martin Kaymer, Richard Bland, Frederik Kjettrup, Adrian Meronk

CRUSHERS: Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III, Anirban Lahiri

FIREBALLS: Sergio Garcia, Abe Ancer, Luis Masaveu, David Puig

HYFLYERS: Phil Mickelson, Andy Ogletree, Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale

IRON HEADS: Kevin Na, Yubin Jang, Jinichiro Kozuma, Danny Lee

LEGION XIII: Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, Caleb Surratt

MAJESTICKS: Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood, Sam Horsfield

RANGEGOATS: Bubba Watson, Ben Campbell, Peter Uihlein, Matthew Wolff

RIPPER: Cam Smith, Lucas Herbert, Matt Jones, Marc Leishman

SMASH: Brooks Koepka, Talor Gooch, Jason Kokrak, Graeme McDowell

STINGER: Louis Oosthuizen, Dean Burmester, Branden Grace, Charl Schwartzel

TORQUE: Joaquin Niemann, Sebastian Munoz, Carlos Ortiz, Mito Pereira

WILD CARDS: Anthony Kim, Max Lee

Exciting news in the world of golf as young prodigy Tom McKibbin officially joins forces with reigning world number one Jon Rahm as part of LIV Golf’s star-studded 2025 roster.

McKibbin, known for his exceptional talent and promising future in the sport, will now have the opportunity to learn and compete alongside Rahm, one of the most dominant players on the global stage.

With both players bringing their unique skills and strengths to the team, fans can expect to see some incredible performances and memorable moments as they take on the competition in the upcoming season.

  • Why Liv Morgan Is Set For Major WWE WrestleMania Push – TJR Wrestling

Liv Morgan could be on the verge of a huge push ahead of WWE WrestleMania but it could mark a big change for the former Women’s World Champion.

Liv Morgan lost the Women’s World Championship to Rhea Ripley on Raw’s Netflix debut. That brought a 226-day title reign to an end that dated back to when Morgan dethroned Becky Lynch for the title in Saudi Arabia in May 2024.

Rhea Ripley successfully defended her title against Nia Jax at Saturday Night’s Main Event. With the Royal Rumble just around the corner, it seems Morgan could be in line for another big push but it doesn’t seem she’ll be going after Ripley’s gold once again.

Liv Morgan Going After Tag Team Gold?

PWInsider has reported that Morgan could be set for a push alongside her bodyguard Raquel Rodriguez as a tag team:

There’s been a lot of talk about Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez getting a big push as a tag team leading into Wrestlemania.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are former two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bianca Belair and Naomi could need new challengers for that title heading into WrestleMania unless one of them wins the women’s Royal Rumble. With the suggestion that Morgan and Rodriguez will be a team, it seems unlikely that either one of them will win the Rumble match and book a singles world title match at WrestleMania 41.

Liv Morgan has been a standout talent in WWE for years, but it seems like the company is finally ready to give her the spotlight she deserves. With WrestleMania just around the corner, it looks like Liv Morgan is set for a major push that could see her become a top star in the company.

One of the reasons why Liv Morgan is primed for a WrestleMania push is her undeniable talent in the ring. Morgan has proven time and time again that she is a skilled performer, with a unique blend of athleticism and charisma that sets her apart from the rest of the roster. Her recent matches have been some of the best of her career, showcasing her ability to tell a story and connect with the audience in a way that few others can.

Another reason why Liv Morgan is poised for a WrestleMania push is her undeniable popularity with the WWE Universe. Fans have been rallying behind Morgan for years, cheering her on every step of the way. With her recent push and increased exposure on WWE programming, it’s clear that the company sees the potential in Morgan to become a fan favorite and a top star in the women’s division.

With all signs pointing towards a major push for Liv Morgan at WrestleMania, it’s only a matter of time before she takes her place among the top stars in WWE. Whether she’s competing for a championship or in a high-profile match, Morgan is sure to deliver a standout performance that will solidify her status as one of the best in the business.

In conclusion, Liv Morgan is set for a major WWE WrestleMania push, and it’s a well-deserved opportunity for a talented and hard-working performer. With her skills in the ring, her popularity with the fans, and the company’s support behind her, there’s no doubt that Liv Morgan is on the path to becoming a top star in WWE. Stay tuned to see what she accomplishes at WrestleMania and beyond.

  • WWE Tag Team Push Planned For Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

A renewed push for the tag team of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez could be on the cards, according to a new report.

PWInsider noted that there has been a lot of talk within WWE about the Judgment Day members getting a push as a tag team heading into WrestleMania 41.

Morgan and Rodriguez have teamed up on a handful of occasions since Raquel returned to WWE television at Bad Blood in October. Their most recent outing as a unit took place on the December 2 edition of Raw, where they picked up a victory over Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY and Kairi Sane.

Rodriguez and Morgan will team together on tonight’s Raw against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi.

The team of Rodriguez and Morgan had previously tagged together in 2023 and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at Money in the Bank that year. However, their reign ended after 16 days as they fell in their first defence to Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.

Morgan dropped the Women’s World Title to Rhea Ripley on the Raw Netflix debut episode on January 6. According to reports, that match was originally scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 41 but was moved up owing to the importance of the Netflix debut.

  • Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio’s romantic relationship to witness a massive turn, predicts ex-WWE writer

Liv Morgan insists she is not mad at her on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, for his actions on WWE RAW’s debut episode on Netflix. Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. has now predicted a massive turn in the couple’s relationship.

Earlier this month, Morgan lost the Women’s World Championship to her arch-rival, Rhea Ripley, on Monday Night RAW’s season premiere on Netflix. After the match, Dominik Mysterio entered the ring and seemingly tried to reconcile with Mami. However, The Eradicator took him out. Dirty Dom later brought flowers for Morgan, who told him she was not mad at the 27-year-old.

Nevertheless, Prinze Jr. claimed on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast that The Miracle Kid no longer trusts The Latino Cheat. Although the former Women’s World Champion insists she is cool with her on-screen boyfriend, the former writer predicted she is not and will eventually turn on him.

“The Judgment Day is falling apart. Finn Balor doesn’t respect Liv; Liv doesn’t respect Dominik. Everybody’s treating Dominik like a piece of sh*t. He even brought flowers for Liv, and she’s like, ‘No, I’m not mad!”’ he said.

    Freddie added:

“Did that girl thing that, you know, you girls do, ‘No, I’m not mad. I’m just not going to communicate and get even angrier on the inside, and then I’m gonna get pi**ed at you for something dumb later on that has nothing to do with what we’re actually pi**ed off about.’” [18:48 – 19:10]

    Check out the episode below:

The ex-WWE writer claims Dominik Mysterio is a victim in the storyline

In a previous episode of his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. commented on Dominik Mysterio’s attempt to hug Rhea Ripley after her victory over Liv Morgan.

The Hollywood star claimed the former WWE NXT North American Champion was a victim of two manipulative women. He urged fans to show sympathy for the 27-year-old.

“Dominik [Mysterio] is awesome. I know he’s a heel, but he’s my favorite babyface in professional wrestling because, to me, he’s the victim in this [storyline], and he’s torn between two women [Ripley and Morgan] that [sic] are both manipulative. It’s just one is manipulative for herself and the other is manipulative for herself. But Dominik is a victim in this; just remember that. Show some sympathy for him,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Morgan and Dominik’s romantic relationship.
