2025 WM Phoenix Open picks, odds, field: Surprising predictions by golf model that’s nailed 13 majors
Scottie Scheffler has had tremendous success at the WM Phoenix Open in recent years. The No. 1 ranked player in the world recorded his first career PGA Tour victory at this event in 2022 and also finished on top of the leaderboard in 2023. Scheffler, who’s coming off a T-9 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, will headline the 2025 WM Phoenix Open field, which also features major champions like Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Hideki Matsuyama. The 2025 WM Phoenix Open first-round tee times at TPC Scottsdale begin on Thursday at 9:20 a.m. ET.
According to the latest 2025 WM Phoenix Open odds, Scheffler is the 3-1 favorite (risk $100 to win $300) to finish on top of the leaderboard. He’s followed by Thomas (11-1), Matsuyama (16-1) and Sungjae Im (20-1) on the PGA odds board. Defending champion Nick Taylor tied the course record (60) in the first round last season and is +6000 (risk $100 to win $6,000) to be the leader after Round 1. Rickie Fowler won this event in 2019 and is +450 (risk $100 to win $450) to finish inside the top 10. Before locking in your 2025 WM Phoenix Open picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
This same model has also nailed a whopping 13 majors entering the weekend, including the 2024 Masters — its third Masters in a row — and last year’s PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed its sports betting picks could have seen massive returns on betting apps like FanDuel, DraftKings and Fanatics.
Now that the 2025 WM Phoenix Open field is locked in, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.
2025 WM Phoenix Open predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open: Matsuyama, a two-time winner of this event and one of the top favorites, fails to finish on top of the leaderboard and barely cracks the top five. Matsuyama won this event in 2016 and 2017 and has already recorded a victory on the PGA Tour this season at The Sentry in January.
However, Matsuyama has finished T-32 or worse in his last two starts on tour and hasn’t cracked the top 20 at TPC Scottsdale since 2022. He also enters this week’s event ranked 102nd in greens in regulation percentage (68.75%) and 133rd in driving accuracy (56.14%), which doesn’t bode well at a course like TPC Scottsdale. He’s not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the 2025 WM Phoenix Open field. See who else to fade here.
Another surprise: Sepp Straka, a 45-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.
Straka secured a victory at The American Express earlier this year and is coming off a T-7 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The 31-year-old is one of the best ball-strikers on tour, ranking fifth in greens in regulation percentage (78.13%) and 12th in strokes gained: approach to green (1.075). He also ranks third in birdie average (6.00), fourth in scoring average (67.31) and fifth in driving accuracy (75.88%). Those impressive stats, plus his long odds, make him a strong value pick for your 2025 WM Phoenix Open bets. See who else to pick here.
How to make 2025 WM Phoenix Open picks
The model is also targeting four other golfers with odds of 45-1 or longer who will make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model’s picks here.
Who will win the 2025 WM Phoenix Open, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the 2025 WM Phoenix Open odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected leaderboard, all from the model that’s nailed 13 golf majors, including the last three Masters and three majors in 2024.

But who will come out on top?According to a golf model that has accurately predicted the winners of 13 majors, there are some surprising picks for this year’s tournament. The model takes into account a variety of factors, including player performance, course conditions, and recent form.
One of the top picks according to the model is young phenom, Jordan Spieth. Despite a recent slump in form, the model predicts that Spieth will bounce back and claim victory at the WM Phoenix Open. Another surprising pick is veteran golfer Phil Mickelson, who the model believes has a strong chance of adding another title to his impressive resume.
Other notable picks include Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, and Brooks Koepka, who are all expected to be strong contenders at the tournament.
Of course, golf is a notoriously unpredictable sport, so anything can happen once the players tee off. But if this model’s track record is anything to go by, these picks could be worth keeping an eye on. Who do you think will come out on top at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open? In the movie’s first teaser, Killian is shown going to great lengths to achieve his dream of being named Mr. Olympia, the international bodybuilding champion.

“If you’re not 100 percent you will never be successful,” he adds in another voiceover. “You’ve got to commit all energy and focus to being the greatest bodybuilder on the entire planet. That’s what separates one from being a champion, one from not being a champion.”

‘Magazine Dreams’ trailer reveals long-delayed Jonathan Majors movie (exclusive)
Jonathan Majors plays an amateur bodybuilder who struggles to find human connection in the trailer for Magazine Dreams, the long-delayed drama from writer-director Elijah Bynum.
Entertainment Weekly can share an exclusive first look at the sports drama above, which stars Majors as the isolated and oftentimes volatile Killian Maddox. He dreams of becoming the type of world-famous bodybuilder who graces fitness magazines, pushing himself to the brink in a self-destructive pursuit of greatness. “You have to do something big and important, or no one will remember you when you’re dead,” Killian says in the trailer.
As Killian “battles both the limits of his physical body and his own inner demons,” per the official synopsis, the film mines the “lengths one man will go in his haunting quest for recognition in a world that often overlooks him.”

The film stars Harrison Page as Killian’s ailing veteran grandfather whom he cares for, as well as Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, and bodybuilder Mike O’Hearn. It premiered to critical acclaim at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and won its U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award, leading to a bidding war before Searchlight nabbed distribution rights.
But Searchlight dropped the feature, and it remained in limbo for about a year after Majors was convicted in 2023 of domestic assault and harassment against ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, who accused the actor of attacking her in the back of a car in Manhattan. He was given probation and ordered to attend 52 weeks of a domestic violence intervention program. Majors, considered a rising star, was dropped from a number of projects following his conviction, including by Disney and Marvel, after having made his big debut as villain Kang the Conquerer.

Briarcliff Entertainment ultimately acquired Magazine Dreams last year. The film is now slated for a March 21 theatrical release. The company’s most recent release includes the controversial Donald Trump biopic The Apprentice, which just last week earned star Sebastian Stan his first-ever Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of the future president and convicted felon during his younger years.
“Magazine Dreams is a visceral experience that challenges the perceptions of ambition and identity,” said Briarcliff CEO Tom Ortenberg. “Elijah’s film made a well-deserved splash in Sundance, and Briarcliff is looking forward to taking his story to the big screen across the country in early 2025.”

State plans return on investment study for UF’s women’s and gender studies program, three other majors
How high is the “return on investment” for a gender studies diploma from UF? And how does it stack up against a finance degree?
That’s what the UF Board of Governors, the political appointees who oversee the state university system, want to know by the end of March.
The board is currently soliciting bids for a system-wide pilot study on the return on investment for degrees from five academic programs: finance, nursing, civil engineering, computer science and women’s and gender studies.
At UF, computer science is the only program from the board’s list not slated for review.
The pilot study will weigh the programs’ operational costs including faculty and staff salaries.
The board isn’t required to commission the study under any state law, and it’s unclear how much the study will cost taxpayers or how its findings could factor into future funding decisions for the selected programs.
A Board of Governors spokesperson wrote in an email statement that if the pilot study’s findings are “worthwhile,” then the board will move forward with a more comprehensive program review across the university system.
Status and concerns for women’s studies
Some Democratic lawmakers and non-UF professors are questioning why the state is putting women’s and gender studies under the microscope alongside four politically palatable, high-value majors.
“The very lopsided selection of the programs that they’re studying raises questions about their goals and intents,” said Amy Reid, the former director of New College of Florida’s now-dissolved gender studies program. “It’s hard to see the benefit of doing the comparative analysis of pistachios and pineapples.”
Florida is one of an increasing number of states that have sought to axe gender studies programs. Gov. Ron DeSantis and state lawmakers have argued the programs don’t prepare students for the workforce and are a waste of taxpayer dollars.
“You’re going to have a truck driver pay for someone’s degree in gender studies. No, that doesn’t make sense,” DeSantis said at a 2023 rally in Iowa.

But the Florida Legislature has stopped short of banning gender studies and other subjects outright because doing so is legally tricky. A 2023 bill that would have removed any programs teaching critical race theory, gender studies or intersectionality from state universities’ offerings was ultimately tabled after State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D-42) and other lawmakers brought up First Amendment concerns.
“This has been a slow burn,” said Eskamani, who studied political science at the University of Central Florida. “Before you know it, you blink and the programs are gone.”
Eskamani said she suspects that the state will use the study to justify pulling funding during the upcoming legislative session. “They were unable to strip the programs based on content,” she said. “Now, they’re attempting to defund the programs.”
Eskamani also raised concerns about the potential cost of the study. The Board of Governors was approved by the state legislature for less than $750,000 in appropriations to pay for a system-wide review that included more programs, but the request was nixed in favor of the smaller-scale pilot study.
The Board of Governors spokesperson didn’t answer a question about how much the board intends to spend on the pilot study.
“It’s a huge waste of money,” Eskamani said, adding that it would be better spent on professors’ salaries, scholarships and campus infrastructure.
Why study return on investment?
Michael Itzkowitz, a UF sociology alum and former U.S. Department of Education official, said it’s uncommon for states to commission return on investment studies and that they are typically performed on a national scale.
Itzkowitz, while in the U.S. DOE, founded the College Scorecard, an online tool that tracks post-graduation salaries and student debt for different majors across universities nationwide. He said the most common way to calculate the return on investment for certain programs is by comparing out-of-pocket costs against how much students would earn with and without a degree.
Itzkowitz said graduates of UF’s women’s and gender studies program generally fare well in the workforce and are able to pay off student debt on par with other majors, though starting salaries for gender studies graduates tend to be lower than other majors.
“Look, if you’re a sociology major like I am, you are not going to earn as much as a computer scientist,” Itzkowitz said. “Those are just the facts. Any findings in this study will not illuminate anything more than we already know.”
UF students who earned bachelor’s degrees in ethnic, cultural minority, gender and group studies in 2019 or 2020 earned an average $26,000 salary the first year following their graduation, according to DOE data.
Graduates gave about 11% of their salary to loan payments each month during that period, making their debt-to-earnings ratio the second-worst among UF subject areas for that cohort. Only dance majors fared worse at 12% per month.
By contrast, graduates from the other four majors involved in the study — engineering, finance, nursing and computer science — had debt-to-income ratios between about 2% and 3% one year after graduation.
Five years after graduation, UF ethnic and gender studies students who earned their degrees in 2014 and 2015 were making an average salary of over $52,000 annually. However, monthly loan information for this cohort is not available, so the change in their debt-to-income ratio and how it compares to other majors over time is unclear.
The comparison of typically higher salary earning programs with a typically lower salary earning program has led Itzkowitz to speculate whether the study is politically motivated or not.
“It seems as if there are some politics behind this and they’re looking to find that one major’s graduates don’t earn as much as another,” Itzkowitz said.
What’s next for UF?
The Board of Governors is expected to hire a contractor to perform the study by the end of January, and is asking for a final report by the end of March, according to the board’s request for proposal.
UF spokesperson Steve Orlando referred The Alligator to the Board of Governors for comment in response to an emailed list of questions about how the study could impact the programs selected for study.
Jillian Hernandez, an associate professor in UF’s department of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies, wrote in an email she expects the study to reveal a healthy return on investment for prospective gender studies students. Gender studies degrees give students a “leg-up” in the workforce, Hernandez wrote, and graduates from her department typically land well-paid jobs across fields like health and education.
“I am confident that the state will find that university faculty and administrators have been good stewards of the state’s resources via Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies education,” Hernandez wrote.

The state of Florida has announced plans to conduct a return on investment study for the University of Florida’s women’s and gender studies program, along with three other majors. This study will evaluate the financial benefits and outcomes of these programs to determine their value to students and the state. The women’s and gender studies program at UF has long been recognized for its commitment to social justice and equality. With a focus on issues such as gender inequality, intersectionality, and LGBTQ+ rights, the program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of gender and sexuality in society.
By conducting this return on investment study, the state hopes to gain a better understanding of the economic impact of these programs and their contribution to the workforce. This study will also provide valuable insights into the long-term career prospects and earning potential of graduates from these programs.
As the state continues to prioritize higher education and workforce development, studies like this will play a crucial role in shaping the future of education in Florida. Stay tuned for updates on the results of the study and its implications for the women’s and gender studies program at UF.

Good is promoting the final season of “Harlem,” but she’s open to a future movie springing from the show! She explained, “You want to end on a high note but… we wouldn’t be mad at a movie.”
Are there discussions about a possible movie? She answered, “I think everyone else has got to say like, ‘This is what we want, you know. The same way the ‘Sex and the City’ had their movies, I think ‘Harlem’ deserves its movies.”
Meagan loved working the show for three seasons, saying, “This has been one of the best professional experiences and personal experiences I’ve ever had.”
This season, we see her character Camille’s fertility journey, which has parallels in Meagan’s real-life experiences.
She noted, “We had talked a lot about fertility and about the journey and what I was experiencing… I’m so glad because a lot of women, getting into your mid-30s and early 30s or mid 40s, whatever it may be, we don’t know what our bodies are going to do so it’s just better to plan for what you want.”
“Harlem” Season 3 streams on Prime Video January 23.

#Meagan #Good #Wedding #Jonathan #Majors #Wonderful #ExclusiveMeagan Good says goodbye to ‘Harlem,’ hello to her future with Jonathan Majors
NEW YORK (AP) — Meagan Good is in a season of harvest, reaping rewards from the hard work she’s sowed throughout her three-decade career. For the “Harlem” star, gratitude is her mantra.
“As crazy as, not even just this last year, the last few years have been for me, this is the happiest I’ve been in a long time. And it’s pretty wonderful,” said Good last week with tears welling in her eyes, emotions heightened as she thought of her relationship with Jonathan Majors, her time on “Harlem” and the Los Angeles wildfires. “I’m just thankful for the journey and I’m thankful to be loved.”
Much of that love has been provided by embattled actor Jonathan Majors, and the fluctuating journey includes their scrutinized relationship, leading Tyler Perry’s “Divorce in the Black” film and starring in the third and final season of “Harlem,” premiering Thursday on Prime Video.
“It’s incredible that the people who have supported us and have watched the show have waited on us like ‘Game of Thrones,’” said Good, who plays Camille, a Columbia University professor of sex and love. “It’s really cool to be a part of something so amazing that people love.”
The resilience of ‘Harlem’
“Harlem” has been a survivor, emerging from the coronavirus pandemic and the Hollywood actors and writers strikes. The Tracy Oliver dramedy follows four women in their 30s (Good, Grace Byers, Jerrie Johnson and Shoniqua Shandai) living in Manhattan’s historic Black neighborhood as they navigate love, friendships and careers. While the series didn’t reach the acclaim of Issa Rae’s “Insecure,” it earned a staunch fan base.
“If you really think about shows about New York, it’s almost like purposefully excluding Black people … so when we reflect on shows like ‘Friends’ or even ‘Sex and The City,’ I probably can count on one hand how many Black people I’ve seen in those shows. But in New York, it’s unavoidable because Black people have created the culture here, specifically in Harlem,” said Johnson, who plays Tye, a queer dating app designer for LBGTQ+ people of color.
“We loved our ‘Living Single,’ and that’s why we loved it because we love seeing these women meeting in this small little apartment to commune with each other … that’s why we have such a cult following because there was a hole in the market that Tracy brilliantly filled.”
Good, 43, said the relationship she shares with her cast, crew and streaming platform is one she hadn’t experienced. “This definitely has been the best professional experience I’ve had in my entire career in terms of emotionally, mentally, professionally, spiritually.”
It’s an emphatic declaration by the former child star whose first major film appearance came in Ice Cube’s 1995 classic “Friday,” shined in “Eve’s Bayou” and became a household name to kids on Nickelodeon’s “Cousin Skeeter” series.
Good on her relationship with Jonathan Majors and the cost of fame
Adored for beauty throughout her relatively drama-free career, many fans questioned her relationship with Majors, the rapidly rising star of “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” It began toward the end of 2023 following the 35-year-old’s arrest for allegations of escalating incidents of physical and verbal abuse toward ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
But the “Think Like a Man” and “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” actor said her Christian faith and life lessons prepared her for the backlash.
“I think about being in my 20s and you see the Media Take Outs and it’s a hundred nice things and there’s like one or two bad things. And I would just internalize it and I would cry and it would hurt my feelings so much,” said Good, who also cited criticism from fellow Christians about her attire and film choices, false skin-bleaching allegations, and the end of her near decade-long marriage with pastor and Hollywood executive DeVon Franklin as perseverance-builders. “I had been praying for maybe like five or six years, ’Lord, please deliver me from what people think about me. … But I will say the part of it that is still hard for me is to see them drag people I love.”
Majors was convicted of one misdemeanor assault charge and a harassment violation. He avoided jail time but was ordered to complete a yearlong counseling program. He also settled a civil suit with Jabbari, but the ordeal nearly extinguished his career.
Good, who was by Majors’ side at court dates and became in engaged to him in November, is optimistic his career will regenerate. (Ironically, Good starred in 50 Cent’s “21 Questions” hit music video in which he proposes scenarios to a potential girlfriend to see if she’d stand by him, including incarceration.)
“The idea that people are like, ’Well, she got paid,” said Good, rolling her eyes at suggestions it’s a publicity stunt — “it could be hurtful, but I just don’t care anymore. And that’s a good feeling.”
What’s next for Good
Good, who aspires to star in an action film, has been open about her desire to have children and is focusing on her future with Majors, including launching a health and wellness brand together.
Admirers and industry colleagues believe Good deserves much more recognition.
“People have tried to pigeonhole her in a certain area that now she’s breaking free. I always tell her that this is her phoenix moment … the ashes actually being a metaphor for people’s expectations of her,” said Johnson. “About 75% of my favorite movies that shaped my upbringing have Meagan Good in them … I’ve learned so much about transitioning into womanhood and adulthood through the characters that she’s played.”
Good, however, stresses her focus is not on recognition or major awards, but reaching the hearts of people. She circles back to gratitude for a career that has defied Hollywood odds.
“To have any appreciation is a gift,” said Good. “I feel like my best is yet to come. And I feel like even now, I’m kind of just getting started.”

Jason Day has racked up 13 career victories on the PGA Tour, which includes finishing on top of the leaderboard at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2015 and 2018. Day will be part of a loaded 2025 Farmers Insurance Open field and will enter this week’s event full of confidence after recording a T-3 finish at The American Express. Day has finished T-7 or better in two of his last four starts at the Farmers Insurance Open, while missing the cut altogether on the other two occasions. The 2025 Farmers Insurance Open is set to get underway from Torrey Pines Golf Course on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The Farmers Insurance Open first-round tee times begin on Wednesday at 11:50 a.m. ET. Will Zalatoris withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open field ahead of round one.
Day is listed as a 28-1 longshot (risk $100 to win $2,800) according to the latest 2025 Farmers Insurance Open odds. Hideki Matsuyama and Ludvig Aberg are going off as the 10-1 co-favorites on the PGA odds board, followed by Tony Finau (20-1), Sungjae Im (20-1) and Keegan Bradley (22-1). Day is going off at +130 (risk $100 to win $130) to finish inside the top 20, while Bradley is +260 to finish inside the top 10. Before locking in your 2025 Farmers Insurance Open picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
Now that the 2025 Farmers Insurance field is locked in, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.
2025 Farmers Insurance Open predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open: Ludvig Aberg, the No. 6 ranked player in the world and one of the co-favorites, fails to finish on top of the leaderboard. Aberg is coming off an impressive T-5 finish at The Sentry earlier this month, but he’s set to make just his second start at Torrey Pines this week.
In addition, the 25-year-old enters this week’s event ranked 172nd in driving accuracy (51.67%) and 192nd in total driving (321). Aberg was also inconsistent with his irons last season, ranking 73rd in greens in regulation percentage (68.15%), which doesn’t bode well at a course like Torrey Pines. He’s not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open field. See who else to fade here.
Another surprise: Max Greyserman, a 25-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.
Greyserman is coming off a T-7 showing at The American Express and has all the tools needed to be in the mix again this week at Torrey Pines. The 29-year-old currently ranks ninth in birdie average (6.25), 11th in putting average (1.632) and 13th in greens in regulation percentage (81.25%). He also ranks ninth in strokes gained: total (1.770) and 13th in strokes gained: approach to green (1.110). Those impressive stats, plus his long odds, make him a strong value pick for your 2025 Farmers Insurance Open bets. See who else to pick here.
How to make 2025 Farmers Insurance Open picks
The model is also targeting three other golfers with odds of 25-1 or longer who will make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model’s picks here.

The 2025 Farmers Insurance Open is right around the corner, and golf fans are eagerly anticipating the action at Torrey Pines. With a star-studded field set to tee it up, including the likes of Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, and Jon Rahm, the competition is sure to be fierce. But before the first ball is struck, let’s take a look at some surprising predictions from a golf model that has been dubbed “13 majors”. This model has a track record of accurately predicting major winners, and its insights into the Farmers Insurance Open could provide some valuable guidance for those looking to place a wager on the tournament.
According to the model, one player to keep an eye on is young phenom Collin Morikawa. The 24-year-old has already shown his ability to compete at the highest level, winning the 2020 PGA Championship and establishing himself as one of the game’s rising stars. With his precision ball-striking and calm demeanor under pressure, Morikawa could be a strong contender at Torrey Pines.
Another player that the model is high on is Viktor Hovland. The 24-year-old Norwegian has been making waves on the PGA Tour with his consistent play and impressive ball-striking. Hovland has already notched multiple wins on tour and has the game to compete with the best in the world. Keep an eye on Hovland as a dark horse pick at the Farmers Insurance Open.
In terms of odds, the model sees defending champion Patrick Reed as a strong favorite to contend once again at Torrey Pines. Reed’s short game prowess and ability to grind out tough rounds make him a formidable competitor on any course, and his experience at the Farmers Insurance Open could give him an edge over the field.
Overall, the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open promises to be an exciting event with plenty of drama and memorable moments. Keep an eye on these surprising predictions from the “13 majors” golf model as you follow the action at Torrey Pines.

Many of the world’s top golfers are set to compete at The Sentry 2025, which gets underway from the Plantation Course at Kapalua on Maui on Thursday, Jan. 2. However, The Sentry 2025 field will be without world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who had to withdraw after undergoing hand surgery that is expected to keep him out of action for three to four weeks. The Sentry 2025 field is comprised of all tournament winners from 2024 and the top 50 in last season’s FedExCup standings. Xander Schauffele, who won two major championships last season, highlights the 60-man field at Kapalua. The Sentry 2025 first-round tee times begin on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. ET.
Schauffele, the No. 2 ranked player in the world, is going off as the +550 favorite (risk $100 to win $550) according to the latest The Sentry 2025 odds. He’s followed by Justin Thomas (9-1), Collin Morikawa (11-1), Ludvig Aberg (14-1) and Patrick Cantaly (16-1) on the PGA odds board. Defending champion Chris Kirk is a massive 70-1 longshot to repeat. Before locking in your The Sentry 2025 picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

The Sentry 2025 predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at The Sentry 2025: Schauffele, a two-time major champion and the odds-on favorite, fails to finish on top of the leaderboard. Schauffele had a stellar season in 2024, securing two wins and 15 top-10 finishes.
However, the 31-year-old struggled with accuracy off the tee, ranking 95th in driving accuracy (60.84%), which doesn’t bode well at a place like Kapalua. He’s also coming off a T-41 finish at the Zozo Championship in October and has finished T-10 or worse in each of his last three starts at this event. He’s not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in The Sentry 2025 field. See who else to fade here.
Another surprise: Corey Conners, a 30-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.
In order to score well at the Plantation Course at Kapalua, players will need to be extremely accurate with their irons and few do it better than Conners. The 32-year-old Canadian finished last season ranked third in strokes gained: approach to green (0.776) and 26th in greens in regulation percentage (70.31%). He was also effective with a driver in his hands, ranking 21st in strokes gained: off the tee (0.411) and 28th in total driving (140). Those impressive stats, plus his long odds, make him a strong value pick for your The Sentry 2025 bets. See who else to pick here.
