“Houseless, never homeless. Welcome back Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia 1.23.25,” Marinao began on Friday, January 31, via Instagram. “Jan 7th my family & I evacuated from the Palisades Fire. We lost our home that we were living in & everything we own, as well as our home under construction that we were about to move into. I was 38 weeks pregnant & I had done an evacuation only a few weeks prior during the Franklin Fire as well. I take it as a gift that I was able to essentially do a practice run for what was inevitably to come. I’m also forever grateful that we were able to evacuate from the Palisades Fire in the daytime, when we could feel more prepared & not caught completely off guard in the middle of the night, for example.”
She noted that her family is “together, happy, healthy and safe, which is truly all that matters.”
“We are deeply grateful to all of the heroes who help battle fires, as well as care for everyone affected by the aftermath for years to come. This will be an extended process of rebuilding and grieving for many, but we are feeling optimistic & inspired to welcome all of the exciting newness of our fresh start!” Mariano continued. “A special thank you to all of those who have supported my family & I in this time; friends, family, my birthing team, hospital staff, companies gifting, LA community and beyond. Your love & generosity means everything to us.”
She concluded: “Gentle reminder to all, to please allow us this time & space to nest with our newborn in such a delicate phase. We already have everything we need in abundance & will be back around with updates in our own time.” The post was signed, “Sending you Aloha + Light always, Jarah, Milo, Ke’a Duke.”
Mariano announced her pregnancy in September 2024 by sharing maternity photos via Instagram. “Baby on board!” she captioned two shots of herself showing off her baby bump in a bikini while floating on a surfboard in the ocean in Hawaii. In the first picture, she cradled her growing belly, while the second image showed her making a “shaka” hand sign alongside another person (presumably Ventimiglia) whose face was not seen in the frame.
Us Weekly broke the news in October 2023 that Ventimiglia and Mariano quietly tied the knot in a private ceremony with family and close friends in attendance. The news came after the couple were first linked in 2022, but they did not confirm their relationship until their wedding.
Days before revealing her pregnancy, Mariano celebrated her first anniversary with Ventimiglia. “Last year I married my best friend,” she wrote via Instagram in September 2024. “There aren’t enough words that exist to describe all the special qualities that make him who he is.”
She continued: “All I can say is that I am grateful for the life that we have together and the happiness that we have created Aloha wau iā ‘oe my husband Milo.” (The phrase means “I love you” in Hawaiian.)
The pair have mostly kept their relationship out of the spotlight, but Ventimiglia previously gushed over Mariano in a February 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“When I saw my wife, I was always just, like, ‘Oh no, she’s my wife,’” he recalled. “Right away, I kinda knew. … I think if anything, you know [that] you just got a partner that you’re gonna be there with, you’re gonna work with, you’re gonna find the joy [with]. And when pain hits you guys, you got to get through it together.”
Years before Ventimiglia and Mariano — who shares a last name with the actor’s Gilmore Girls character, Jess — started their family, he hinted that fatherhood was in his plans for the future, explaining how his role as patriarch Jack Pearson on NBC’s This Is Us impacted him.
“It doesn’t make me want to have a family any more than I think I’m built to want a strong family unit,” Ventimiglia exclusively told Us in 2017. “It will happen when it happens. I’m not out seeking it. It’s just kind of, I’m present in the space in my life that when it presents itself and it’s right, I’m sure it will work out.”
In the meantime, working with kids on the series was a “blast” for Ventimiglia, who tried out his parenting skills on set.
“I don’t have kids, I have nieces and nephews,” he said at the time. “I feel like I get to act out a little bit of my own paternal want to influence a young mind, shape a young mind, to approach life in a positive way.”
Milo Ventimiglia, known for his roles in hit TV shows like “This Is Us” and “Gilmore Girls,” is now a father! His wife, model Jarah Mariano, has given birth to their first child. The couple has been together for several years and announced they were expecting back in January. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new little bundle of joy, and now the wait is finally over.
While details about the baby’s name and gender have not been revealed yet, one thing is for sure – this child is going to be surrounded by love and adoration from their famous parents.
Congratulations to Milo and Jarah on this exciting new chapter in their lives! We can’t wait to see photos of their beautiful family and watch as they embark on this new journey together.

“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real. This is happening,’” he said of watching their home burn via security cameras before turning the footage off. “We kind of accepted the loss.”

Mariano Rivera Denies Covering Up a Report of Sex Abuse
Good morning. It’s Friday. We’ll look at a lawsuit that accuses Mariano Rivera, the Yankees Hall of Famer, and his wife of covering up the sexual abuse of a minor.
Mariano Rivera, a 17-season closer for the Yankees, and his wife, Clara, were accused in a lawsuit of failing to protect a young girl by reporting sexual abuse that she had endured and that they knew about. The lawsuit was filed in Westchester County, N.Y., on behalf of the girl and her mother, whose identities were concealed for their privacy.
Joseph A. Ruta, the Riveras’ lawyer, strongly denied the allegations in a statement on Thursday.
“Mariano and Clara Rivera do not tolerate child abuse of any kind, and allegations that they knew about or failed to act on reports of child abuse are completely false,” the statement said.
The suit says that the girl was an active member of the Refuge for Hope Church in New Rochelle, N.Y., which the Riveras helped found and where Clara Rivera was a pastor.
In 2018, Clara Rivera advised the girl’s mother that she should send her daughter to a summer internship program operated by a sister church in Gainesville, Fla., called the Ignite Life Center, according to the suit. The Ignite Life Center and Refuge of Hope churches are part of the broader Assemblies of God denomination and organization.
Refuge of Hope paid for the girl to attend the program, and she stayed in a dorm with other children, without parental supervision, the complaint says. The girl, who was about 11 years old at the time, was repeatedly sexually assaulted by an older female camper while she was in the Florida program, the complaint adds.
The girl’s mother became worried for her daughter’s safety after speaking with her and brought her concern to Ms. Rivera, who said she would investigate the matter and respond accordingly, court records say.
According to the complaint, the Riveras flew down to Florida and received information that suggested the girl was being abused but did not report it and “intimidated” the girl into silence to “avoid the potential scandal of child sexual abuse” in the Refuge of Hope programs.
The complaint says the girl was assaulted again later that summer by the same camper during a barbecue for church youths at the Riveras’ home in Rye, N.Y. She was also sexually assaulted several times and forced to engage in explicit communications by another church employee about three years later, the complaint adds.
The suit alleges that neither the church, its employees nor the Riveras did anything to report the abuse or properly investigate it. In December, Assemblies of God affiliates in Florida settled three lawsuits in connection with allegations of sexual assaults of minors, and a former Ignite Life Center staffer also took a plea agreement in a case linked to sexual abuse charges.
Ruta said the Riveras had not learned about the accusations until 2022, when a lawyer in New York sent them a letter requesting a financial settlement, nearly four years after the abuse reportedly occurred. He said the couple had received another letter a year later from a law firm in Florida, again requesting a financial settlement.
“The lawsuit, which seeks financial damages for the Riveras’ alleged failure to act on alleged incidents that were never reported to them, is full of inaccurate and misleading statements which we have no doubt will not hold up in a court of law,” Ruta said.

Familiar Feeling
Dear Diary:
I started traveling to New York City from my hometown, Toronto, in the early 2000s. I would visit once or twice a year, usually with my children. As they have gotten older, I’ve been making my annual trip solo.
On my most recent trip, in November 2024, I stayed near Lincoln Center. When it was time to leave, the hotel doorman hailed me a taxi to take me to the airport.
After I got into the cab, the driver and I began chatting about the delicious smelling rice and oxtail stew his wife had just dropped off for him. He told me we had spoken previously about Indian and Senegalese food. I must have looked confused because he then claimed that he knew me.
I said that my son’s girlfriend was from India and that she had made us a feast for Diwali the year before. The driver nodded and said I had told him that before.
I had not been to New York in a year and was incredulous that this man could possibly have remembered a random conversation with a passenger from 12 months ago.
Then, suddenly, I remembered him, too. He had told me the last time we spoke that he was sending one of his teenage children to live with his parents for a while so they could get to know one another.
He explained this time that the child was back home and that all had gone well.
After getting out of the cab at the airport, I turned back to him.
“Thank you,” I said. “See you next year!”

Mariano Rivera, wife Clara accused in lawsuit of covering up child sex abuse claim
A lawsuit filed last week claims that Hall of Fame pitcher Mariano Rivera and his wife, Clara, pressured a young girl to remain silent about her abuse. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images) A lawsuit filed this week accused Hall of Fame pitcher Mariano Rivera and his wife, Clara, of covering up the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old girl who was a member of their church in New Rochelle, New York.
Rivera, who was the closer for the New York Yankees for 17 seasons, and his wife are alleged to have “isolated and intimidated” the girl into remaining silent about her abuse to prevent issues for Refuge of Hope, the church the couple helped found, the lawsuit said.
Refuge of Hope is part of the broader Assemblies of God religion and organization.
The lawsuit, filed by the girl, now 17, and her mother, neither of whom is named to protect their privacy, is seeking unspecified damages for negligent supervision and premises liability. The Riveras are identified for their alleged roles but are not named as defendants.
According to the lawsuit, Clara Rivera, who serves as a pastor at the church, told the mother that the girl should take part in a summer internship through Ignite Life Center in Gainesville, Florida, another Assemblies of God church.
The complaint alleges that Refuge of Hope paid for the girl to attend and required her to stay in a dormitory with other children without parental supervision. Court documents say that an older female camper, identified in the lawsuit only as “MG,” repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl, who was about 11 at the time, in the dorm and shower.
The girl told her mother about the abuse, and the mother then reported her concerns to Clara Rivera, who told the mother that she would investigate and get back to her, the lawsuit said. But the situation was not rectified, court documents say, and the Riveras allegedly told the mother that the girl was “safe and in no danger.”
“Rather than take sufficient action to end the sexual abuse of Jane Doe, the Riveras each separately isolated and intimidated Jane Doe to remain silent about her abuse by ‘MG’ to avoid causing trouble for Refuge of Hope and the Ignite Life Summer Internship,” the complaint states.
The abuse continued at the Riveras’ home during a barbecue after the girl returned from the internship, according to the lawsuit. The couple allegedly did not invite parents to the event, only the church’s children, and the girl was left unsupervised with “MG,” even after the disclosure of the abuse.
The Riveras are accused of failing to take appropriate action and handling the allegations internally to “avoid scrutiny, public scandal, and potential financial losses from allegations of child sexual abuse becoming public information,” the lawsuit reads.
A Refuge of Hope youth leader, Ruben Tavarez Jr., who is the son of an associate pastor, is also accused of abusing the girl in 2021, which included “graphic electronic communications of a sexual nature.” It ended when the girl’s mother confronted Tavarez, according to the lawsuit.
Last month, affiliates of the Assemblies of God settled three lawsuits that alleged similar abuse of minors. A former staff member of Ignite Life Center entered into a plea agreement in connection with sexual abuse.
Joseph A. Ruta, the Riveras’ attorney, released a statement saying that the couple “do not tolerate child abuse of any kind” and that the allegations are “completely false.”
“The very first time they heard about these allegations was nearly four years after the alleged incident, when in 2022 a New York attorney sent a letter requesting a financial settlement,” Ruta said. “This was followed by a second letter in 2023, from a different Florida law firm, again requesting a financial settlement.
“The lawsuit, which seeks financial damages for the Riveras’ alleged failure to act on alleged incidents that were never reported to them, is full of inaccurate and misleading statements which we have no doubt will not hold up in a court of law.”
Former New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera and his wife Clara are facing serious allegations in a new lawsuit that accuses them of covering up a child sex abuse claim. The lawsuit, filed by a former employee of the couple, claims that they were aware of the abuse allegations but actively tried to conceal them from authorities. This shocking accusation has rocked the baseball world, as Mariano Rivera is widely regarded as one of the greatest closers in MLB history. The Rivera’s have not yet commented on the lawsuit, but the allegations are sure to tarnish their reputation.
It remains to be seen how this lawsuit will unfold, but one thing is for certain – this scandal has put a dark cloud over the Rivera family. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.

Mariano Rivera, wife Clare accused of covering up child sex abuse
Yankees Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera and his wife, Clara, are accused of covering up the sexual abuse of a minor at their church and in their home, according to a lawsuit filed in New York.
The complaint claims the couple hid the abuse of a young girl associated with their church, Refuge of Hope in New Rochelle, where 55-year-old Rivera is the lead pastor.
The suit, filed in the Supreme Court of Westchester County, alleges the Riveras were negligent and did not act upon learning the girl was being sexually abused.
The young victim was allegedly abused by an older minor girl, identified only as “MG,” during a 2018 summer internship at the Ignite Life Center in Gainesville, Fla. that was supported by the Riveras’ church.
Clara Rivera, who’s said to be in charge of Refuge of Hope’s day-to-day operations, allegedly convinced the girl’s family to let her attend the internship in Florida. According to the suit, the Riveras then covered up the abuse upon traveling to the summer camp themselves.

(Mary Altaffer/AP) “Rather than take sufficient action to end the sexual abuse of Jane Doe, the Riveras each separately isolated and intimidated Jane Doe to remain silent about her abuse by MG to avoid causing trouble for Refuge of Hope and the Ignite Life Summer Internship,” the complaint states.
According to the lawsuit, the abuse continued at a barbecue hosted at the couple’s former home in Rye, N.Y. after the girl returned home from the internship.
Ruben Tavarez Jr., the adult son of Refuge of Hope Associate Pastor Ruben Tavarez Sr., is also accused in the lawsuit of abusing the girl in August 2021.
The complaint also points to separate instances of abuse at Ignite Life Center, where two sons of pastors and a former volunteer have been arrested for child sex crimes.

Former Yankees closer Mariano Rivera and his wife Clare have been accused of covering up child sex abuse allegations against their son, Jaziel Rivera. The accusations came to light after a former employee of the Rivera family’s church, who worked closely with Jaziel, came forward with disturbing allegations.According to the employee, Jaziel Rivera had been accused of sexually abusing multiple children in the church’s youth program. Despite the allegations, the Rivera family allegedly swept the incidents under the rug and failed to report them to the authorities.
The employee also claimed that Mariano and Clare Rivera used their influence and power within the church to protect their son from facing any consequences for his actions. The employee stated that the Rivera family’s reputation and status in the community were prioritized over the safety and well-being of the children who were victimized.
As the scandal continues to unfold, many are calling for a thorough investigation into the Rivera family’s involvement in covering up the child sex abuse allegations. It remains to be seen how Mariano and Clare Rivera will respond to the accusations and what repercussions they may face as a result of their alleged actions.
