  • Raiders Could Get Ridiculous Offer For Maxx Crosby

The Las Vegas Raiders are already well on their way to becoming a different team than they have been over the past two seasons. After going 14-22 over the past two seasons while continuing many of the same negative tendencies, the Raiders brought Tom Brady in this offseason to help with the turnaround.

Raiders owner Mark Davis and Brady quickly got to work, firing former general manager Tom Telesco and former head coach Antonio Pierce. The moves signaled a new era of Raiders football and paved the way for John Spytek to become the team’s new general manager and Pete Carroll to become the team’s head coach.

The new general manager-head coaching duo were the first significant changes made to the team this offseason. However, it is expected to be the first of many moves the Raiders make to improve this offseason, with their next focus becoming fixing the roster.

That will involve Spytek and the Raiders’ front office making arguable choices about the roster to improve it. The Raiders have 17 unrestricted free agents, many of whom are starters on their defense.

However, there could be another change made to the defensive this offseason.

With defensive end Maxx Crosby beginning to age and the Raiders potentially needing the next few years to be a legitimate contender, Jarrett Bailey of The Sporting News predicted the Raiders would trade the veteran defensive lineman for multiple first-round picks.

“Look at the current run of Bills’ first-round picks – Dalton Kincaid, Kaiir Elam, Greg Rousseau, Ed Oliver,” Bailey said. “Plus, Keon Coleman and A.J. Epenesa were the team’s top picks in 2024 and 2020, respectively, as second-round choices. None of these guys have turned into superstars and lived up to the spot in which they were drafted. Trade a pair of first-round picks for a true game-wrecking edge rusher that they haven’t had since Josh Allen was drafted. The Achilles heel for the Bills has been their lack of pass rush in big games. That immediately changes with Crosby.”

Bailey predicted the Raiders would get the Bills’ 2025 first-round pick, 2025 fourth-round pick, sixth-round pick, and 2026 first-round pick. Bailey also predicted the Bills would receive Crosby and the Raiders’ 2025 fourth-round pick.

While the offer is enticing, the Raiders have made it clear that trading Crosby is off the table.

The Las Vegas Raiders may soon be faced with a tough decision regarding star defensive end Maxx Crosby. According to reports, several teams around the league are preparing to make a ridiculous offer for Crosby, who has emerged as one of the top pass rushers in the NFL.

Crosby, who recorded 13 sacks and 61 tackles last season, is entering the final year of his rookie contract. While the Raiders would love to keep him in silver and black for the long term, they may have to consider trading him if the offer is too good to pass up.

Teams are reportedly willing to offer multiple high draft picks and even players in exchange for Crosby, who has proven to be a game-changer on defense. The Raiders will have to weigh their options carefully and decide if the potential return is worth parting ways with a player of Crosby’s caliber.

It remains to be seen if the Raiders will ultimately pull the trigger on a trade involving Crosby, but one thing is for certain – they will have plenty of enticing offers to consider. Stay tuned as this situation continues to develop.

  • Philly fans react accordingly to viral Maxx Crosby tweet with Eagles emoji

The Las Vegas Raiders are about to embark on a new era with Pete Carroll taking over as head coach.

Whether superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby wants to be along for that ride will be a talking point throughout the new league year.

Crosby’s name figures to come up often in trade speculation leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft in April. And the 27-year-old with 59.5 sacks over six pro seasons is sure to ignite plenty of fodder after posting a cryptic tweet on Saturday afternoon.

“I Will Be A Champion” read the tweet, which ended with a curious choice of emojis: an eagle and a diamond.

With the Philadelphia Eagles gearing up to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX next week, you can imagine the response Crosby’s choice of emoji drew from Philly fans.

“If you force a trade to the Eagles you will,” one fan responded to Crosby’s post.

Adding fuel to the fire: The Eagles have a major projected need at pass rusher entering the 2025 season. The Super Bowl will likely be veteran Brandon Graham’s final game in the NFL, starter Josh Sweat’s contract is about to expire, and the team is likely to seek an exit plan from $51 million blunder Bryce Huff.

The Eagles have a star-studded offense, led by Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith. They also have several rising stars on defense in Jalen Carter, Zack Baun and rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Obviously, adding Crosby to this mix would make life absolutely miserable for opposing QBs.

While Crosby talked up Barkley and the Eagles on a recent podcast, none of this is based in any form of reality at this point. The Eagles aren’t courting Crosby a week before they play in the Super Bowl, and Crosby’s next tweet will likely be him trolling fans over what his eagle emoji was meant to represent. He has used the eagle emoji in a variety of contexts, including when discussing his Serbian heritage.

Still, the timing is certainly curious. For now, Eagles fans can dream: Both for a Super Bowl title on Feb. 9 and one of the best pass rushers in football possibly hinting interest in their team.

Philadelphia Eagles fans are known for their passion and dedication to their team, so it’s no surprise that they had a strong reaction to a recent viral tweet from Las Vegas Raiders player Maxx Crosby. The tweet, which featured a photo of Crosby in an Eagles jersey with the caption “Fly Eagles Fly,” quickly spread across social media, sparking a wave of responses from Philly fans.

Many Eagles fans were quick to embrace Crosby’s support, responding with an outpouring of Eagles emojis and messages of gratitude. Some fans even went as far as to declare Crosby an honorary member of the Eagles family, welcoming him with open arms.

Others, however, were more skeptical of Crosby’s sudden allegiance to the Eagles, questioning his motives and expressing doubt about his sincerity. Some fans even went so far as to warn Crosby that he better be prepared to back up his words with actions on the field if he truly wants to earn the respect of Eagles fans.

Overall, the reaction from Philly fans to Crosby’s viral tweet was a mix of excitement, skepticism, and curiosity. Whether Crosby’s support for the Eagles is genuine or just a playful gesture, one thing is for sure – Eagles fans are always ready to rally behind their team, no matter who is wearing the jersey. • Making a case for why the Bills should trade for Maxx Crosby

Brandon Beane has taken a big swing before.

Nearly three years ago, the Buffalo Bills’ general manager hid in the weeds before pouncing early in unrestricted free agency, shocking the NFL by landing edge rusher Von Miller.

The move never quite panned out, as Miller tore his ACL midway through his first season with the team.

Perhaps Beane had that in the back of his mind Thursday during his end-of-season news conference when he said, “You’re never one player away. That’s a dangerous mindset to get into.”

Maybe so. But let’s live dangerously, shall we?

    Steelers Raiders Football (copy)

Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby would be an ideal trade target for the Bills this offseason.

The Bills should go all in this offseason on a trade for Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby.

Yes, the cost will be steep.

Here’s my response to that: So what?

    People are also reading…

Beane said he learned at a young age that chasing a player, or even a position, is not the right answer – even if his pursuit of Miller suggested otherwise. But in the next breath, he brought up just how close this team is.

“This team had championship ability. I do believe that,” he said. “Sometimes, you leave the season and you say, ‘Man, I don’t know if we if we gave ourselves a chance,’ but ultimately, like … it’s down to a few plays.”

The Buffalo Bills general manager knows he has been knocking on Kansas City’s door for years now. But knocking isn’t enough.

If we’ve learned anything over the past five seasons, four of which ended with playoff losses to the Chiefs, it is that the Bills don’t have enough players capable of making those plays. If they did, the results would be different.

It is on Beane to go get more of those players this offseason. That’s where Crosby comes in.

Raiders owner Mark Davis has stressed that he won’t trade Crosby, but he would be wise to at least consider it. Las Vegas is in the middle of a rebuild, and years away from contention in the stacked AFC West. If Crosby’s not up for that, he could gently get his point across that a trade would be preferable.

Crosby is signed through 2026, and would have salary cap hits of $22.9 million and $19.7 million for any team trading for him. By NFL standards for an elite edge rusher, that’s a team-friendly deal. Of course, Crosby would probably want a new deal if he were to be traded, and the Bills can accommodate that.

The team will be able to free up some cap space this offseason by cutting Miller. That also opens up a spot in the defensive line rotation for Crosby to slide right into.

Sean McDermott needs to take a hard look at his defense and make some structural changes for next season, writes Mark Gaughan.

Crosby turns 28 shortly before the start of the 2025 season, and is coming off something of a down year by his lofty standards. He played in just 12 games because of an ankle injury in 2024, but he still finished with 7½ sacks and 17 tackles for loss. In the two years before that, he was an absolute force, with 27 sacks, an NFL-leading 45 tackles for loss and 67 quarterback hits. He is elite at rushing the passer and defending the run. He’s young enough that he should be able to overcome the ankle injury.

He is the type of game-changing talent the Bills should be searching high and low for this offseason. The No. 1 reason the Bills can’t get past the Chiefs in the playoffs is their defense. That can’t sit well with Sean McDermott – a defensive-minded head coach.

The Bills don’t love to blitz, preferring instead to rely on four-man rushes to create pressure, allowing them to cover with seven. The problem is, the four-man rush isn’t good enough as constructed, and the Bills have no reasonable path improving their four-man rush next season without making a bold move. Crosby would be that.

You want to make life easier for Greg Rousseau and Ed Oliver? You want to give them more one-on-one rush opportunities? Put Crosby on the line and let opposing offenses figure out how to block all of them.

By all accounts, Crosby would also fit perfectly in the locker room. He was a team captain for the Raiders and is one of the most respected players in the league. The Bills showed during their 2024 run that the culture matters. Yes, talent trumps all, but when there is an opportunity to add a player who would strengthen the bond inside the locker room, that’s an added bonus. Crosby certainly looks like he could do just that.

Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane needs to take the kind of swing that could propel the Bills over the Kansas City Chiefs and the rest of the AFC in 2025, writes Ryan O’Halloran. The Bills should trade for Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill.

Understandably, the Raiders won’t be eager to move Crosby. Hiring the 73-year-old Pete Carroll as their new coach also isn’t a move a rebuilding team would typically make. Crosby himself has said all the right things about being excited to be a part of the Raiders’ turnaround. Again, that is what you would expect from a team captain and leader.

Still, the Bills can put together a package of draft picks to at least make Las Vegas consider it. There is no harm in picking up the phone.

Beane has an extra second-rounder acquired last year in the Stefon Diggs trade to Houston. He can start his offer with this year’s first- and second-round picks, plus a young player or two. Maybe the Raiders roll the dice on Kaiir Elam’s talent, or would be intrigued by young edge rusher Javon Solomon.

Let’s be real here: It’s not as if Beane is getting tremendous value out of the bottom of the first round. His last three top overall picks – wide receiver Keon Coleman (with the first pick of the second round last year), tight end Dalton Kincaid and Elam – were difference-makers for the wrong reasons against the Chiefs.

That’s the No. 1 reason trading picks for a proven player – in this case, Crosby – is a great idea this offseason. The last time Beane traded away his first-round pick for a player, he landed Diggs, who will go down as either the second- or third-best receiver in franchise history, depending on how you rank him with Eric Moulds behind Andre Reed.

“Overall, I thought Joe did a really good job,” Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said. “You look at what we were able to do in the pass game, but also the run game, and keeping a team a two-dimensional offense is hard to do.”

That’s the type of impact Beane needs to find this offseason. That’s the type of impact Crosby can have on the Buffalo defense. Priority No. 1 this offseason has to be to build a defense that doesn’t crater in the biggest moments.

“One to two plays can change the outcome of a game, which ultimately changes the outcome of the season,” Beane said Thursday, speaking of the loss in the AFC championship game. “We wouldn’t be sitting here. So, it sucks. It hurts. But I’m not in the mood of thinking you have to blow it all up. I don’t think that’s rational.”

We’re in agreement there. Don’t blow it up, at all. Instead, add to what’s been built by finding the player who can make those one or two plays. Add to it by adding Maxx Crosby this offseason.

Maxx Crosby is a rising star in the NFL, and the Buffalo Bills would be wise to pursue a trade for the talented defensive end. Here are a few reasons why the Bills should make a strong case for acquiring Crosby:

    1. Pass Rush Ability: Crosby has proven to be a formidable pass rusher, recording 17 sacks in just two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Bills could greatly benefit from adding his pass-rushing prowess to their defense, especially as they aim to challenge top quarterbacks in the league.

    2. Youth and Potential: At just 23 years old, Crosby has already shown immense potential and room for growth. His youth and athleticism make him an attractive option for the Bills, who are looking to build a strong foundation for the future.

    3. Versatility: Crosby is not only effective as a pass rusher, but also as a run defender. His ability to disrupt both the pass and run game would provide valuable versatility to the Bills’ defense.

    4. Team Player Mentality: Crosby is known for his strong work ethic and team-first mentality. His leadership qualities and dedication to the game would make him a valuable addition to the Bills’ locker room.

Overall, Maxx Crosby would be a valuable asset to the Buffalo Bills, bringing a combination of pass-rushing ability, youth, versatility, and a team-first mentality. The Bills should strongly consider making a case for trading for Crosby to bolster their defense and strengthen their chances of competing at a high level in the NFL.

  • Raiders Maxx Crosby on Conversations with Tom Brady

The Las Vegas Raiders are actively searching for their next head coach. The Raiders started the search after firing former head coach Antonio Pierce. The Raiders will be hiring their third head coach in the last three seasons.

Owner Mark Davis and minority owner Tom Brady will lead the way in finding the right man for the job. Brady will have a major influence in helping Davis select the new head coach. Brady is also a broadcaster for Fox Sports.

Raiders star and face of the franchise player, defensive end Maxx Crosby has been vocal in the past about what he is looking for in a head coach or what coach he potentially wants for the Silver and Black.

Crosby has earned that right to let the franchise know because of the work ethic he brings to the table each season. And also, because he has become one of the best defensive players in the National Football League.

Crosby talked about conversations that he has had with Raiders minority owner Brady on NFL GameDay Morning on Sunday.

“Yeah, I have known Tom for a few years now,” said Crosby. “You know, we talk here and there. Like you said, he came in to win and that is what he had done his whole life. You know he is a Michigan man, I am as well. I believe in Tom, and we will see what happens. I am really excited to see what the future holds.”

Crosby also talked about playing in meaningful games at the end of the season.

“Yeah that is the truth. That is why I work all year round. I do not just turn it up when April gets here. It is literally 365 for me. I want to be the best in what I do and play in those games. In the games that has a lot of meaning. That is why I play the game. That is why everyone plays the game. But for me, you know I am going into my seventh year, I am not going to play forever and I put everything into it. So seeing a cold game, playing on the road against the Chiefs you know Buffalo, all those games, that is what I want to be in. I know I will be there. We are going to see what happens. I am looking forward to it.”

  • Maxx Crosby Sends Message on Ben Johnson Amid Raiders Talk

    Ben Johnson with Dan Campbell.

The Las Vegas Raiders can’t hire Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson until the end of his season but there is a lot of speculation that he’ll end up taking the team’s head coaching job. Star defensive end Maxx Crosby has been vocal about the team’s coaching searches in the past but recently said he’s going to stay out of it this time around.

However, he made it clear that he still would like his voice heard even though the Raiders are undergoing some major transitions right now.

“Like I said, in the past, I have definitely shared my thoughts and opinions on what we think we should do,” Crosby said on the Jan. 17 episode of “Good Morning Football.” “I am always going to be that way. That is who I am. I am very passionate about the Raiders in general. Being in my position I feel like I have earned that voice over the years with not only my production but what I have done in the building. You know, being the first in, last out every day. That is a big part of it.”

Crosby then directly addressed the rumor that Johnson would be his next head coach and he has some thoughts.

“Ben Johnson, a lot of people are talking about it,” Crosby said. “You hear rumors and sometimes when there is smoke there is a fire, but we will see. You heard Pete Carroll. You heard several names as well. And those guys are great coaches. At the end of the day, the most important thing to me, as you said is stability and winning. I want the chance to win. Been in those games. Be playing this time of the year. I know what I bring to the table as a leader and as a player and I want everyone else on board. My mind focus is on being in that environment. Whoever is going to give the Raiders the best chance to do that, I am aboard for that.”

    Maxx Crosby Not Stressing Out

If the choices are between Johnson and Pete Carroll, Crosby has to be excited. The former is the hottest young coaching candidate on the market and Carroll is a Super Bowl winner. Both would likely be major upgrades over what the Raiders have had in recent years.

That said, nothing is a guarantee until a contract is signed so Crosby is just trying not to think about the situation too much.

“We will see how it turns out,” Crosby said. “In the past, I have stressed out about it and tried to worry too much but at the end of the day, I am in a different place in my life right now. I am extremely happy and confident in where I am at. We will see who is going to be the next guy.”

Raiders Landing Ben Johnson Gaining Steam

During the “Good Morning Football” segment, host Peter Schrager said to Crosby’s face that he thinks Johnson will be his next head coach. The defensive end smiled but didn’t tip his hand too much.

Regardless, the Raiders appear to have a real shot at landing the coach, which was thought to be impossible just a few weeks ago. The Lions season could go on for a while if they reach the Super Bowl so Crosby and the Raiders will have to be extra patient.

  • Raiders DE Maxx Crosby Gives Latest Rehab Update

The Las Vegas Raiders are only a couple of weeks into the offseason but it has already been a busy one. The Raiders are in the middle of looking for a new head coach and a new general manager. The team will have a massive shift in the organization this offseason. The offseason has a different buzz around the Silver and Black because of minority owner Tom Brady and joined owner Mark Davis.

Brady has joined the search committee to help Davis find the right head coach and general manager to help turn things around in the Desert—one of the biggest, if not the biggest offseason for the Raiders.

The team will also have to look for the next franchise quarterback. They can look for a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders own the sixth overall pick. They can sign a quarterback in free agency or trade for one.

Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby has said in the past how he feels about the Raiders. All he wants to do is win and bring a Super Bowl to the franchise. He has been one of the best defensive players in the National Football League.

“The rehab has been going incredible, it will be about a four-and-a-half deal until I am fully healthy and clear, that is incredible, I am already rehabbing in the building every day getting after it,” said Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby on Good Morning Football on Friday. “I will be walking next week. I have been rolling around here on a scooter. It has differently been an adjustment. Yeah, just part of the process, and yeah, I am doing incredible on that end. So, yeah I am feeling good about it and where we are at.”

Crosby missed his first game of his career this past season for the Silver and Black. He was able to come back but was injured again and that injury forced Crosby to miss the last four games of the season.

Crosby still had a good and productive season in 2024. He was selected for another Pro Bowl. One thing we know about Crosby is that he will be ready to go next season and be one of the best in the league.

  • Maxx Crosby puts pressure on Raiders, Tom Brady to nail head coach hire or else

During his recent appearance on Good Morning Football, Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby was transparent about the team’s impending offseason plans. After firing their general manager and head coach, the search for a new brain trust looms largely over the franchise — and he knows it.

Whoever the Raiders replace the recently dismissed duo of Tom Telesco and Antonio Pierce with, Crosby wants them to bring two things: “Stability and winning.”

Crosby couldn’t have been much clearer about his desires and what he wants in the new Las Vegas regime. Frankly, it almost sounded like a threat, with potential consequences if minority owner Tom Brady and Co. don’t meet the superstar edge rusher’s lofty demands.

“I want the chance to actually win and be in those games, be playing at this time of the year,” Crosby declared, h/t NFL.com. “I know what I bring to the table as a leader and as a player, and I want everyone else on board. My main focus is being in that environment. So whoever is going to give the Raiders the best chance to do that, I’m all on board for that.”

Moreover, Crosby noted he’s currently under contract with Las Vegas but has no guaranteed money left on his deal. So, the 27-year-old knows “a lot of things that need to be discussed.”

” … we’ll move accordingly,” Crosby added, presumably depending on how those conversations and the direction the organization takes in their hiring process play out.

Brady has reportedly had his fingerprints all over Las Vegas’ search for a new lead exec and sideline general. He’s been a big factor in Detroit Lions offensive coordinator/highly sought-after head coaching candidate Ben Johnson’s connection to the Raiders. But how does Crosby feel about that?

For whatever it’s worth, Crosby has publically endorsed current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, citing their close relationship. Was the four-time Pro Bowler tipping his cap about who he wants to run the show in Las Vegas?

Only time will tell how things unravel between Crosby and the Raiders, but it’s a situation worth monitoring nonetheless.

In a recent development, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has made it clear that the pressure is on for the team to make a solid hire for their head coaching position. With the departure of Jon Gruden mid-season, the Raiders are in need of a strong leader to guide the team to success.

Crosby, who has been a standout player for the Raiders this season, emphasized the importance of finding the right coach to lead the team to victory. He stated that the team needs someone who can bring out the best in each player and instill a winning mentality within the organization.

Additionally, Crosby mentioned the looming presence of Tom Brady as a potential factor in the coaching decision. With rumors swirling that Brady may join the Raiders in a front office role, the pressure is on for the team to make a hire that will not only satisfy the players but also meet Brady’s expectations.

Overall, it is clear that the Raiders are in a critical moment as they search for their next head coach. The pressure is on for the team to make a decision that will set them up for success in the future. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Raiders DE Maxx Crosby wants ‘stability and winning’ from next HC, chance to be ‘playing at this time of year’

“At the end of the day, the most important thing to me, like you said, is stability and winning,” Crosby said. “I want the chance to actually win and be in those games, be playing at this time of the year. I know what I bring to the table as a leader and as a player and I want everyone else on board. My main focus is being in that environment. So whoever is going to give the Raiders the best chance to do that, I’m all on board for that.”

So far, the Raiders have scheduled or completed interviews with four candidates for GM and eight for HC, with the latter generating significant interest from outside the building. Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is viewed by some to be a front-runner, while names like Colorado head coach Deion Sanders and North Carolina HC Bill Belichick have also gotten internet buzz, despite neither having been brought in for an interview.

Asked about some of the names swirling around social media, both speculated and official candidates, Crosby declined to give his opinion on which direction the team should go, though he did heap praise on all the figures mentioned, including calling Johnson “probably the best play-caller in football right now.”

Whoever does come out on top at the end of this coaching sweepstakes will inherit a roster that has notable questions at quarterback and plenty of draft capital and cap space to address areas of need on the roster. But, one expected beacon of consistency amidst the turnover is Crosby, who has been a leader of the defense in his six years and currently is under contract until 2027.

While Crosby is recovering from ankle surgery that ended his 2024 season early — the first time the defensive end had missed any time in his career — the four-time Pro Bowler said Friday that he should be walking in a week and has already gotten back in the weight room during the rehab process. Once that has progressed, attention can turn to discussions about solidifying the star defensive end’s future in the Silver and Black.

“Right now I’m just focused on my process and my day to day and getting healthy, we’re going to see what happens with the coaching situation,” Crosby said. “You know I’ve been with the Raiders for six years, I’m currently under contract, but I think I’ve talked about it before, I have no guaranteed money left, there’s a lot of things that need to be discussed, we’re going to do that and focus on taking it one step at a time, and we’ll move accordingly.

“For me, I’m happy in general, get to spend some more time with my daughter around this time of year, and we’ll let it all play out how it’s supposed to. So regardless, I’m in a great place, and we’re going to have those discussions real soon.”

The Las Vegas Raiders have had their fair share of coaching changes in recent years, and defensive end Maxx Crosby is looking for some stability and success from the team’s next head coach.

In a recent interview, Crosby expressed his desire for a coach who can bring stability to the organization and lead the team to winning seasons. He emphasized the importance of having a strong leader who can keep the team focused and motivated throughout the ups and downs of a long NFL season.

Crosby also mentioned his eagerness to be playing meaningful games at this time of year, referring to the postseason. The Raiders have struggled to make it to the playoffs in recent years, and Crosby is hoping that a new head coach can help turn things around and give the team a shot at competing for a championship.

As the Raiders search for their next head coach, it’s clear that players like Maxx Crosby are looking for someone who can provide stability, success, and the opportunity to be playing in the postseason. Let’s see if the organization can find the right fit to lead the team to greater heights.
