  • Cheryl Hines, Megyn Kelly, and Vani Hari Form RFK Jr.’s MAHA Cheer Squad at First Confirmation Hearing

Typically, confirmation hearings for cabinet positions don’t come with raucous applause or screamed proclamations of love. But then again, most cabinet nominees are not Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an oddball player on the modern political scene if there ever was one.

Kennedy’s own family has spoken against him throughout both his failed presidential campaign and now his Senate confirmation process, most recently via a letter in which cousin Caroline Kennedy called him a “predator.” But he has inspired ardent support from other quarters with his MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) platform. He’s especially popular with the “did my own research,” “earth mama,” wannabe Instagram mommy-influencer types, and they made certainly made their presence known throughout Wednesday’s Senate festivities, with shrieks that were more befitting of a teenybopper at a mall concert than for the halls of Congress. When the hearing was recessed two hours in for a five-minute bathroom break, screeches of “We love you, Bobby!” could be heard over the live feed.

Beyond the panting fans, a few more familiar faces were visible lending their support to Kennedy, his squad of shiny-haired cheerleaders: Wife Cheryl Hines was there, despite Kennedy’s sexting scandal with a journalist, and offered her husband a peck on the lips as the hearing started. Over his shoulder, she could be seen blinking rapidly throughout the hours of question-and-answer-dodging, leading some on social media to joke that she was trying to transmit a message in Morse Code. Perhaps she was just grappling emotionally with the thought that if her husband is confirmed, she’ll have to stop shilling her $20 MAHA-scented candles within 90 days, denying the world more staged Instagram videos of her septuagenarian husband in the buff. A sacrifice for God and country, indeed.

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who has declared her support, was also in attendance, as was Vani Hari, writer of the Food Babe blog, several books, and perpetual variations on “I can’t believe how many ingredients are in this cereal.” Hari, in an eye-catching hot pink blazer, gold costume earrings, and bright red lipstick, was unmissable as she nodded animatedly throughout the hearing, smiling hugely at times, like when committee member Sen. Roger Marshall, a Kansas Republican, said that he believed that Kennedy had a “divine purpose” to fulfill in his proposed role. Hari brought her 8-year-old daughter, clad in pale pink, along for the trip, because what pre-tween doesn’t dream of a mommy-and-me day watching Kennedy dance around questions about his past drug use, alleged mistreatment of animals, anti-vaccine views, and newly aired stance against reproductive rights?

Marla Maples, the ex-wife of the current president, was seated further back in the chamber. Kennedy superfan Jessica Reed Kraus, who on Tuesday posted to her Instagram stories on @HouseInhabit begging for help getting into the hearing, apparently had her wish granted. She shared snaps of herself holding yet another baseball cap, this one reading “Confirm RFK Jr.” (because if a hat doesn’t say it, then is it even worth saying?), and a text-only slide insisting that the committee “confirm Bobby based simply on his tan.”

Kennedy will sit for a second confirmation hearing Thursday.

Renowned environmental activist and lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently had a group of famous supporters by his side at his first confirmation hearing for his nomination as head of the Environmental Protection Agency. Actress Cheryl Hines, former news anchor Megyn Kelly, and food activist Vani Hari all came together to form RFK Jr.’s MAHA (Mothers Advocating Healthy Air) Cheer Squad.

The trio of powerful women donned matching t-shirts emblazoned with the words “Protect Our Planet” and waved pom-poms as they cheered on Kennedy during his hearing. Hines, known for her work in environmental conservation, spoke passionately about the importance of clean air and water for future generations.

Kelly, who has recently taken a more active role in advocating for environmental causes, emphasized the need for strong leadership at the EPA in order to combat the climate crisis. Hari, a vocal critic of harmful food additives, highlighted the connection between environmental health and personal well-being.

The support of these influential women added a touch of star power to Kennedy’s confirmation hearing, drawing attention to the urgency of addressing environmental issues. As RFK Jr. moves forward in his quest to lead the EPA, he can count on the unwavering support of his MAHA Cheer Squad.

  • Melissa Gilbert reacts to Megyn Kelly ‘Little House on the Prairie’ reboot comment

Little House on the Prairie alum Melissa Gilbert took notice of Megyn Kelly‘s response to Wednesday’s news of a planned reboot on Netflix.

Just after it was announced, the former Fox News journalist and current host of The Megyn Kelly Show, tagged Netflix in an X post that said, “if you wokeify Little House on the Prairie I will make it my singular mission to absolutely ruin your project.”

Gilbert, who starred in the family drama for its entire run, from 1974 to 1983, responded with her own social media post,

“Apparently Megyn tweeted (I’m not on that platform) asking that Netflix not ‘woke-ify’ their Little House remake,” wrote Gilbert, who played main character Laura “Half-pint” Ingalls.

“Ummm…watch the original again. TV doesn’t get too much more ‘woke’ than we did. We tackled: racism, addiction, nativism, antisemitism, misogyny, rape, spousal abuse and every other ‘woke’ topic you can think of,” Gilbert wrote.

She captioned it, “Watch any episode on any streaming platform anywhere in the world” and tagged Kelly.

Little House was wildly popular and continues to draw fans to reunion events. Steered by executive producer and star Michael Landon, the series did not shy away from uncomfortable topics. It might have been allowed to get away with it in primetime TV — it originally aired on NBC, though reruns over the years have been ubiquitous — perhaps because it was packaged in the sweet story of a hard-working family struggling to make their way in late-1800s America.

While Little House was originally based on the series of books of the same name by the real-life Laura Ingalls Wilder, who recounted her childhood in them, Landon and company often got creative. Now streaming on Peacock, the show depicts, for instance, the effects of body shaming and the struggles of the disabled. So it’s become internet fodder to talk about the darker side of the Emmy-winning series, which preceded even so-called “very special episodes” that dealt with previously taboo topics.

Details of the planned Netflix project haven’t been released — just that it’s been ordered. The streamer did say that it would be based on Wilder’s third Little House autobiographical book. The reboot will be based on the Ingalls family, which included Gilbert’s Laura, Landon’s Charles or “Pa,” Karen Grassle’s Caroline or “Ma,” and Laura’s sister Mary, who was played by Melissa Sue Anderson, Deadline, which broke the news, reported.

The new Little House will be executive produced by Trip Friendly, the son of the original show’s producer Ed Friendly. Rebecca Sonnenshine, writer and producer on The Boys and The Vampire Diaries., will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

No date for the series has been announced.

Recently, former “Little House on the Prairie” star Melissa Gilbert found herself in the spotlight once again after Megyn Kelly made controversial comments about a potential reboot of the beloved TV show. Kelly suggested that a reboot would not be successful in today’s climate due to the show’s depiction of Native Americans.

In response, Gilbert took to social media to share her thoughts on Kelly’s remarks. The actress, who portrayed Laura Ingalls Wilder on the iconic series, expressed her disappointment in Kelly’s comments, stating that she believes a reboot could be successful if done with respect and authenticity.

Gilbert went on to explain that “Little House on the Prairie” was a show that aimed to educate viewers about the struggles and triumphs of pioneer life, and that she believes it is important to continue telling those stories in a way that is both respectful and truthful.

Fans of the show rallied behind Gilbert, showing their support for her stance on the potential reboot. Many agreed that the show’s message of family, community, and perseverance is timeless and should not be dismissed based on outdated stereotypes.

As the debate over a “Little House on the Prairie” reboot continues, it is clear that Melissa Gilbert remains passionate about preserving the legacy of the beloved series and ensuring that any potential revival stays true to its original spirit.

  • ‘Little House on the Prairie’s Melissa Gilbert Responds To Megyn Kelly

With DEI, trans rights and immigration already taking a hit under President Donald Trump‘s second term, Megyn Kelly seems to be most concerned with the sanctity of Little House on the Prairie.

After the talking head threatened to “ruin” Netflix‘s upcoming reboot of the classic 1974-’83 NBC series if the streaming platform dares to “woke-ify” the update, original star Melissa Gilbert reminded Kelly the show was always woke.

“Apparently Megyn tweeted (I’m not on that platform) asking that Netflix not ‘woke-ify’ their Little House remake,” wrote Gilbert in a statement on Instagram. “Ummm… watch the original again. TV doesn’t get too much more ‘woke’ than we did. We tackled: racism, addiction, nativism, antisemitism, misogyny, rape, spousal abuse and ever other ‘woke’ topic you can think of. Thank you very much.”

In the caption, she told Kelly to “watch any episode on any streaming platform anywhere in the world.”

Gilbert, who starred as Little House author Laura Ingalls Wilder, posted the statement after Kelly threatened Netflix on X, “if you wokeify Little House on the Prairie I will make it my singular mission to absolutely ruin your project.”

Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, Vampire Diaries, Archive 81) will serve as showrunner and executive producer on what Netflix is describing as a “reimagining” of the show based on the book series by Wilder. Other EPs are Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition, Dana Fox, Susanna Fogel and Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions — who’s been pushing for a reboot for years.T

The new version from CBS Studios and Anonymous Content Studios is expected to follow Charles, his wife Caroline and their daughters Laura and Mary as they leave Wisconsin to settle in Independence, KS. There will be Osage characters, as the first season is based on the book Little House on the Prairie.

Melissa Gilbert, best known for her role as Laura Ingalls Wilder on the beloved TV show “Little House on the Prairie,” recently responded to controversial comments made by journalist Megyn Kelly.

In a recent interview, Kelly made disparaging remarks about Gilbert’s appearance, stating that she looked “unrecognizable” compared to her days on the popular show. Gilbert took to social media to address Kelly’s comments, expressing her disappointment in the journalist’s behavior.

In a heartfelt post, Gilbert emphasized the importance of kindness and respect, urging Kelly to think before making hurtful comments about others’ appearances. She also shared her gratitude for her time on “Little House on the Prairie” and the impact it has had on her life and career.

Fans of Gilbert and the show rallied behind her, showing support and admiration for her grace and dignity in the face of criticism. Gilbert’s response serves as a reminder of the power of positivity and resilience in the face of negativity.

  • Megyn Kelly Sides With Justin Baldoni After BTS ‘It Ends With Us’ Footage With Blake Lively: ‘I Actually Disbelieve Her Fully Now’

Megyn Kelly is having a harder and harder time siding with Blake Lively with each new piece of information released amid her and Justin Baldoni’s “It Ends With Us” legal skirmish.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the host zeroed in on behind-the-scenes footage during production on “It Ends With Us” released by Baldoni and his legal team on Tuesday. The 10-minute footage shows Lively and Baldoni dancing in one of the film’s romantic scenes cited in Lively’s original complaint. The video shows them being flirtatious on camera but speaking and joking around out of character, discussing the scene at hand, since the scene being filmed wasn’t going to have audio.

Baldoni released the footage, claiming it disproves Lively’s complaint that characterized the moment as being riddled with unwanted sexual advances. Lively’s team responded shortly after Wednesday, calling the footage a “manufactured media stunt” that “corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”

“This matter is in active litigation in federal court,” Lively’s statement continued. “Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public.”

Kelly, however, does not think the footage aligns with how Lively painted the moment in her lawsuit.

On Thursday’s podcast, the host also stated that Lively is trying to place a gag order on Baldoni to stop him from releasing any more to the story from his point of view. The host added that if Lively was telling the truth, she wouldn’t need the gag order.

Watch the full “Megyn Kelly Show” segment below:

“Now that she’s had her shot against him, and she severely damaged him with that New York Times piece in this complaint, which she managed to get leaked, now she wants a complete gag order,” Kelly said. “Now he needs to be shut down to protect her. This is very unfair to poor Blake. Why should Justin be able to release snippets to the media without the full context? That’s what she said. That’s what she did.”

She continued, “I’m just saying this person is not an honest broker. I believe her less than ever. I actually disbelieve her fully now, and they should not be gagged. I will happily participate in releasing any further leaks that they have, because the truth should be out there. What does she have to fear if she’s telling the truth?”

Wednesday’s video is the latest salvo in a weeks-long legal dust-up between the “It Ends With Us” colleagues. Baldoni has already sued the New York Times for $250 million, citing defamation, and stated in a separate lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds that the Nicepool character in “Deadpool & Wolverine” was created to “mock” him.

Lively has accused Baldoni of improvising without an intimacy coordinator “physical intimacy that had not been rehearsed, choreographed or discussed with [her]” and of coercing her into an unplanned nude scene.

Megyn Kelly Sides With Justin Baldoni After BTS ‘It Ends With Us’ Footage With Blake Lively: ‘I Actually Disbelieve Her Fully Now’

In a surprising turn of events, former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has come out in support of actor Justin Baldoni after behind-the-scenes footage from their new film ‘It Ends With Us’ with Blake Lively was leaked online. The footage showed Lively making some controversial remarks about the film’s message, leading to backlash from fans and fellow cast members.

Kelly took to social media to express her disbelief in Lively’s comments, stating, “I actually disbelieve her fully now. It’s clear that Blake Lively does not understand the important message behind ‘It Ends With Us’ and is not taking her role seriously. Justin Baldoni’s dedication to this project is commendable, and I stand with him in his efforts to bring awareness to such an important issue.”

Fans of the film have been divided on the leaked footage, with some defending Lively’s comments as taken out of context, while others agree with Kelly that her remarks were inappropriate. Regardless, the controversy has only added to the buzz surrounding ‘It Ends With Us’, which is set to be released later this year. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
