  • ‘I’m speechless’ – The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels stun Triple H with huge WWE WrestleMania 41 news

It’s very hard to imagine Triple H being left speechless, but best WWE pals Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker have managed it.

The iconic pair bamboozled their boss at a meeting this week to spring a major announcement on him concerning this year’s WrestleMania weekend.

Triple H was ambushed at a WWE meeting where familiar faces delivered good news

It’s decades since the trio battled against – and sometimes alongside – each other as major stars in the WWE Attitude Era.

The Undertaker is regarded as wrestling’s greatest ever character creation after a 30-year career in the company, while Michaels is perhaps the most flamboyant of all WWE’s previous champions.

Triple H – better established in the current climate under his real name of Paul Levesque – was the King of Kings and an icon in his own right, but has taken on a lead role in WWE in recent years.

While Michaels brings through the next generation of wrestling talent as the de facto Head of NXT, Levesque sits atop of that particular tower as the company’s Head of Creative and Chief Content Officer.

‘Trips’ will be busily planning every element of the forthcoming WrestleMania weekend, from the headline two-night event itself to all the other festivities that come alongside it. Not least, of course, The Hall of Fame ceremony.

His weekend has somehow managed to get busier, though, after WWE confirmed via Michaels and Taker that heading into the Hall of Fame over Mania weekend will be none other than Triple H himself.

At the end of a WWE meeting this week, the multi-time former world champion was left stunned to hear the entrance music of HBK boom out – to be swiftly followed by The Undertaker’s.

A bemused Levesque stood by as the pair delivered the news that he would be given the honour of being a two-time Hall of Famer, following his previous induction as part of legendary group DX.

The spotlight will shine on him alone this time, with Michaels saying: “HBK and The Undertaker have made an executive decision here.

“Though you are in the Hall of Fame as a member of D-Generation X, it is only fitting that the Cerebral Assassin, The Game, Triple H, at WrestleMania 41, take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.”

Though the two major WWE stars delivered the announcement, the decision to induct Triple H will almost certainly be the handywork of WWE President Nick Khan, whom The Game jokingly threatened to ‘kill’ shortly after the announcement.

He said in response: “From a guy that usually has something to say about everything, I’m speechless.”

Quipping he’d deal with Khan, he added: “If you see somebody flying off the roof, ignore it.”

Upon hearing the news, the assembled mass at the meeting could be heard cheering and applauding, before Levesque’s wife, Stephanie McMahon, appeared on stage to congratulate him as the pair exchanged a hug.

The master of the sledgehammer added, simply: “I don’t know what else to say, just: ‘Thank you.’

Fan response to the news has been mixed. While many felt the induction was ‘long overdue’ and ‘deserved’, some were uneasy about WWE showering the recognition on Triple H while he’s in such a prominent backstage position.

One fan jabbed: “He’s been in power for a year and he booked himself as headliner in the Hall of Fame,” while another not buying the surprise value, said: “HHH: ‘The only guy who can headline the Hall of Fame is ME !!! Now act like it wasn’t my idea!’”

A third insisted: “He seriously needs to focus on creative and put new talent over rather than himself.”

Before WWE kicks into gear with WrestleMania weekend, it will first deliver its annual precursor event, Royal Rumble this weekend. More than 60,000 will jam into Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis for the show.

I’m speechless: The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels stun Triple H with huge WWE WrestleMania 41 news

In a shocking turn of events, WWE legends The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels have dropped a bombshell on Triple H regarding WrestleMania 41. The two icons made a surprise appearance on Monday Night Raw to announce that they will be facing off against each other in a highly anticipated match at the upcoming WrestleMania event.

Fans around the world are in disbelief at this unexpected announcement, as many had thought that The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels had retired from in-ring competition. However, it seems that these two legends still have some unfinished business to settle, and they are ready to do so on the grandest stage of them all.

Triple H, who was caught off guard by the news, has yet to respond to the challenge laid down by The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Will he accept the challenge and step into the ring with these two wrestling icons, or will he choose to sit this one out and watch from the sidelines?

One thing is for sure, WrestleMania 41 is shaping up to be one for the history books, and fans can’t wait to see what unfolds in this epic showdown between three of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Former Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels SLAMS Ozempic: ‘Try anything else’

Former Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels has sounded the alarm on GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, urges people to ‘try anything else’ to lose weight.

Michaels, 50, shared her thoughts on the popular drugs taking Hollywood by storm during an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com in New York City this month.

Over the past few years, GLP-1 medications, which have historically been used to treat type 2 diabetes, have become extremely popularized as a weight-loss aid after they were approved by the FDA.

Ozempic contains a compound called semaglutide, which ‘mimics the GLP-1’ hormone, according to UCLA Health – a hormone that can work with your brain to suppress your appetite and make you feel fuller more quickly.

When it’s taken in a high dose, combined with diet and exercise, it can help people lose weight.

It’s particularly taken off in Hollywood, with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Sharon Osbourne, and Rebel Wilson all having admitted to taking a weight-loss drug.

But Michaels, who helped people lose hundreds of pounds without weight loss medication or surgery on The Biggest Loser, is not exactly a fan.

‘Everything with medication, for me personally, is a cost-benefit analysis,’ Michaels told DailyMail.com exclusively.

She made the analogy to that of antibiotics, explaining that she ‘doesn’t want to live in a world’ without them, but doesn’t like to take them unless it’s ‘life or death,’ citing side effects.

Michaels said that she looks at GLP-1 medications in a ‘similar fashion.’

‘In other words, if you’re morbidly obese, if you’ve tried everything, generally, there will also be a deep psychological component, a physiological addiction, if you have other elements of your health that have failed you, in this cost-benefit analysis, you will absolutely twist my arm,’ she admitted.

However, she still does not encourage people to take them due to some recent studies, like one done by Prime Therapeutics which showed that a high percentage of users no longer took the drug after one year.

Michaels claimed that the drugs are ‘not sustainable’ and have side effects that you ‘won’t out-run over time.’

While the medications are FDA-approved for treating Type 2 diabetes, Wegovy and Zepbound are the only two approved by the FDA for weight loss alone.

Doctors, patients, and studies have reported various side effects of the drugs.

The weight loss drug makers face as many as 10,000 lawsuits due to severe side effects like stomach paralysis, tears in patients’ food pipes, blindness, and suicidal thoughts.

But Michaels, who helped people lose hundreds of pounds without medical intervention on The Biggest Loser, is not exactly a fan

‘If you’re taking this to lose 20 pounds, 30 pounds, 45, 50 pounds, I would strongly suggest trying anything else,’ Michaels told DailyMail.com.

This isn’t the first time that the trainer has slammed the medications.

In a February 2023 interview with People, the mom-of-two claimed that she had convinced multiple friends to get off the drug.

She alleged you can have a ‘rebound’ weight gain after stopping the medicine.

‘Once they get off of the drug, it does the rebound effect,’ she told the outlet at the time.

‘So you’re not gaining anything. You get off the drug in a year and go all the way back. You’ve not learned anything. You’ve not built any physical strength or endurance. You haven’t learned how to eat healthy.’

Former Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels recently took to social media to slam the weight loss medication Ozempic, advising her followers to “try anything else” instead.

In a post on Instagram, Michaels expressed her concerns about the potential side effects of Ozempic, which is a prescription medication used to treat obesity. She cited research showing a link between the drug and an increased risk of pancreatitis and thyroid tumors.

“Please, try anything else before you resort to this potentially dangerous medication,” Michaels wrote. She went on to recommend alternative methods for weight loss, such as diet and exercise, as safer and more sustainable options.

Michaels’ strong stance against Ozempic has sparked debate among her followers, with some praising her for speaking out against potentially harmful medications, while others defend the drug’s effectiveness in helping with weight loss.

Regardless of where you stand on the issue, it’s clear that Michaels’ message has struck a chord with many people who are struggling with their weight. As always, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new weight loss regimen, especially when considering prescription medications like Ozempic.

  • Lucy Lawless Begged Lorne Michaels to Cut Her Stevie Nicks SNL Sketch

If Lucy Lawless had had her way, her cult favorite impersonation of Stevie Nicks may never have happened.

On the latest episode of Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast, the host asked Lawless, 56, about her 1998 appearance on Saturday Night Live. Specifically, Rosenbaum wanted to know all about “Stevie Nicks’ Fajita Roundup,” a sketch in which the Xena: Warrior Princess star spoofed Nicks in a commercial for the Fleetwood Mac frontwoman’s imaginary Sedona, Ariz., Tex-Mex restaurant.

“I’d seen Stevie Nicks on something,” Lawless told Rosenbaum. “She had really black eyes for whatever reason. And I asked them for these — ‘Can I have contacts like that?’ And they got me fitted real quick and then bunged these things in to do the skit. And I couldn’t see anybody, and I was really alone in my head.”

At the time, Nicks was experiencing a career resurgence, thanks to Fleetwood Mac’s 1997 live reunion album The Dance and an accompanying MTV special, as well as her own solo career spanning 1998 box set Enchanted.

In 2020, former SNL writer Hugh Fink explained to The Ringer that the “Fajita Roundup” sketch was meant to play up the singer’s witchy, hippie vibe — complete with a tambourine and a wind machine blowing Lawless’ blond wig in the fake commercial — while also lampooning what a ’70s rock super star might be doing two decades after their heyday.

But, Lawless told Rosenbaum, despite having been a fan of Nicks’s music as a kid, she wasn’t initially sold on the bizarre sketch.

“I’ve got these stupid contacts in right? And I did not think the skit was funny,” she said. “I didn’t understand the cultural references. So maybe that was the magic ingredient is that I didn’t think it was funny.”

In fact, she was so uncertain about the sketch, she actually asked SNL creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels to cut it.

“I said to Lorne, ‘Lorne, dude, you know, it’s not funny. Please cut it,’ ” she recalled. “He said, ‘No. No, I think it’s a sleeper hit.’ ”

It turns out Michaels was right. While “Stevie Nicks’ Fajita Roundup” is far from one of SNL’s most famous, it continues to show up on social media to this day. Ahead of Nicks’ October 2024 appearance on SNL — her first since 1983 — more than one fan took to social media hoping that either the singer or host Ariana Grande would revive the sketch.

For her part, Nicks loved the sketch. According to The Ringer, the “Rhiannon” singer told Madison magazine in 2011 that it was “one of my all-time favorite things ever.”

“When everybody told me, I was like, ‘Oh no, it’s going to be just awful …,’ ” Nicks said. “But it wasn’t. Lucy looked amazing, and she was amazing as me. So I could not have been happier.”

Lucy Lawless, best known for her role as Xena: Warrior Princess, recently revealed that she begged Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels to cut her Stevie Nicks sketch from the show.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lawless admitted that she was nervous about portraying the iconic singer on live television. “I’m a huge fan of Stevie Nicks and I didn’t want to do her any disservice,” Lawless explained.

Despite her reservations, Lawless went through with the sketch, but immediately regretted it. “I was so worried that I wasn’t doing Stevie justice,” Lawless said. “I begged Lorne Michaels to cut the sketch, but he insisted that it was fine.”

Lawless’s performance as Stevie Nicks may not have been her favorite, but fans of the show still enjoyed seeing her take on the legendary singer. And while Lawless may have been critical of her own performance, it’s clear that she put in the effort to do justice to the rock icon.

Even though Lawless may have had doubts about her portrayal, it’s clear that her dedication to the role was evident in her performance. And while she may have wanted the sketch to be cut, fans will always remember her as the fierce warrior princess who took on Stevie Nicks on the SNL stage.

  • Jillian Michaels predicts California will shift red after Newsom’s wildfire response

Celebrity fitness expert Jillian Michaels believes California will shift toward the Republican party in the wake of lefty Gov. Gavin Newsom’s handling of the Los Angeles wildfires.

Michaels, best known for her stint as a trainer on “The Biggest Loser” in the 2010s, previously lived in California before “fleeing” to Florida in 2021 after growing tired of the Golden State’s leadership.

She attributed her changed politics from a lifelong “deep-blue” Californian to Donald Trump supporter to the 2018 Malibu fire — which destroyed her home — and Newsom’s response to that inferno.

Jillian Michaels believes that California will swing further right in the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires. NewsNation

It affected my life, and it changed me. And I think you’re going to see that when it touches you, it changes you. And for California, that’s a good thing, because it is in desperate need of reform,” Michaels told NewsNation’s “On Balance with Leland Vittert.”

She blamed Newsom for the devastation left by the still-raging fires devouring parts of Los Angeles — saying it was preventable.

“The reality is that while you’re seeing $20 million mansions flattened, there are 1000s of people who are going to be financially devastated by this,” Michaels told Vittert. “And that’s what’s deeply upsetting, is so much of this could have been mitigated.”

Like many other states across the country, California recorded an eye-popping political shift in the 2024 Presidential Election. Demonstratively, men in every racial category leaned further right this year, with new voters in particular bringing in a slew of votes for the GOP.

“You saw that the state gained far more red voters in this previous election. I think there’s going to be a change for sure in the next run for governor,” Michaels said.

Newsom, who is widely viewed as a likely contender for the 2028 presidential race, finishes up his gubernatorial term in 2026 and is not eligible to run again.

Michaels specifically criticized the state’s inconsistent policies, including Proposition One in 2014 which saw $2.7 billion be set aside for “statewide water system operational improvement and drought preparedness,” according to the California Natural Resources Agency. Part of this was supposed to include the construction of new reservoirs, but Michaels complained that none have been built in the last 11 years.

Another bill, AB2330, passed during the 2023-2024 regular session following extensive revisions over four months. The bill would’ve strengthened wildfire preparedness measures by permitting all agencies to submit plans and be actively involved in the process. It was vetoed by Newsom in September.

“While I hate to make this an issue of red versus blue, I tend to look at this as if California was a company, right? It’s one of the largest economies in the world. You’ve got a bad operator, period. It doesn’t matter what party he belongs to,” Michaels said.

Jillian Michaels, a well-known fitness and wellness expert, recently made a bold prediction about the upcoming California gubernatorial recall election. In an interview with a major news outlet, Michaels stated that she believes California will shift red in the upcoming election due to Governor Gavin Newsom’s handling of the state’s wildfires.

Michaels pointed to Newsom’s response to the recent wildfires that have ravaged parts of California, criticizing the governor for what she perceives as a lack of effective action and leadership in addressing the crisis. She argued that Newsom’s failure to adequately address the wildfire threat has left many Californians feeling disillusioned and frustrated with his leadership.

As a result, Michaels predicts that California voters will choose to recall Newsom and elect a Republican governor in his place. While this prediction may seem surprising to some, Michaels believes that the state’s residents are ready for a change and are looking for a leader who will take decisive action to protect California from future wildfires.

It remains to be seen whether Michaels’ prediction will come true, but her comments have certainly sparked a lively debate about the upcoming election and the future of California politics. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
