  • Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears Jr., Xavier Booker likely out vs Oregon

EAST LANSING – Michigan State basketball’s deep rotation could be down two players Saturday.

Both forward Xavier Booker and point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. are listed as questionable as the ninth-ranked Spartans host Oregon at Breslin Center. Coach Tom Izzo on his pregame radio show said Fears is unlikely to play, while Booker is possible for the noon tipoff (Fox).

“The strength in numbers,” Izzo said, “we’ll find out how strong they are.”

Michigan State forward Xavier Booker (34) dribbles against Minnesota forward Dawson Garcia (3), center, and forward Frank Mitchell (00) during the second half at Breslin Center in East Lansing on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.

Izzo said freshman Jase Richardson will make his first career start for MSU, “so we keep the guard thing pretty evenly rotated.”

Fears, who has started all 22 games this season, is averaging 6.2 points, 6.2 assists and two rebounds a game. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound redshirt freshman missed all but 10 games last year after being shot in after Christmas in 2023.

Michigan State Spartans guard Jeremy Fears Jr. (1) dribbles down court against the USC Trojans at Galen Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025.

Booker has come off the bench the last 19 games after starting the first three. The 6-11, 240-pound sophomore averages 6.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game.

Richardson, a 6-3 combo guard, is second on MSU at 9.3 points per game while shooting 40% from 3-point range and 52.3% overall. He also adds 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game.

Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears Jr. and Xavier Booker are likely to be out for their upcoming game against Oregon. This news comes as a blow to the Spartans, as both players have been key contributors to the team this season. Fears Jr., a redshirt freshman wide receiver, has shown promise with his speed and playmaking ability, while Booker, a senior defensive lineman, has been a force on the defensive line.

It is unclear at this time what exactly is keeping Fears Jr. and Booker out of the game, but their absence will surely be felt on the field. Michigan State will need to rely on their depth and other players to step up in their absence in order to secure a win against a tough Oregon team.

Stay tuned for updates on the status of Fears Jr. and Booker as more information becomes available.

Welcome back to the Big Ten Basketball Weekend Rundown.

In this edition of the Weekend Rundown, we will review the results from Thursday to Sunday and examine where each team stands as February is upon us. Which teams won big, and which ones came up short?

    UCLA 78, No. 16 Oregon 52

UCLA dominated No. 16 Oregon from start to finish in a 78-52 rout on Thursday night, extending their winning streak to five games. Eric Dailey Jr. was nearly unstoppable, scoring 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting, while Dylan Andrews and Tyler Bilodeau each contributed 15 for the Bruins.

UCLA’s victory marked their fourth over a ranked team this season and completed a season sweep of the Ducks. Oregon struggled offensively, with Nate Bittle leading the way with just 13 points. They have now dropped two straight, while UCLA looks like a team gaining momentum at the right time.

    Nebraska 80, No. 18 Illinois 74

Nebraska snapped a six-game losing streak in dramatic fashion, taking down No. 18 Illinois 80-74 in overtime on Thursday night. Brice Williams was the hero, scoring eight of his game-high 27 points in the extra period to help the Huskers secure their third win over a ranked opponent this season—a feat they hadn’t accomplished since 2013-14.

The Illini saw their dominance over Nebraska come to an end despite a balanced effort led by Kasparas Jakucionis’ 18 points. Williams took over in overtime, hitting clutch shots to put Nebraska in control, while Illinois could not keep pace down the stretch.

Ohio State 83, Penn State 64

Ohio State kept its momentum rolling with an impressive 83-64 road win over Penn State on Thursday night, powered by freshman John Mobley Jr.’s all-around performance. Mobley filled the stat sheet with 19 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, while Bruce Thornton caught fire from deep, hitting five threes on his way to 17 points.

The Buckeyes have now won three straight and looked in control throughout. Meanwhile, Penn State continued its struggles, dropping its seventh game in the last eight despite Yanic Konan Niederhauser’s 21-point effort. The Nittany Lions couldn’t slow down Ohio State’s efficient offense, and their own inconsistency on both ends made it tough to mount a comeback.

    No. 10 Purdue 81, Indiana 76

Purdue pulled out a hard-fought 81-76 win over rival Indiana on Friday night, thanks to Braden Smith’s season-high 24 points and a clutch go-ahead shot from Trey Kaufman-Renn with 11 seconds remaining.

Indiana’s Mackenzie Mgbako led all scorers with 25 points. However, the Hoosiers couldn’t hold on late, dropping their sixth in the last seven games. The game saw six lead changes in the final four minutes before Kaufman-Renn’s hook shot gave Purdue the lead for good at 77-76.

    USC 70, No. 7 Michigan State 64

USC pulled off a major upset Saturday afternoon, taking down No. 7 Michigan State 70-64 and snapping the Spartans’ 13-game winning streak. Desmond Claude led the Trojans with 19 points and USC never trailed in the game.

Michigan State had a chance to close the gap late but was called for a shot clock violation with 39.3 seconds left. On the ensuing possession, USC’s Saint Thomas found Yates for a cross-court pass and dunk, sealing the win and the biggest upset of Big Ten play so far.

    No. 17 Wisconsin 75, Northwestern 69

John Tonje exploded for 27 points as No. 17 Wisconsin rallied in the second half to defeat Northwestern 75-69 on Saturday.

Trailing late, the Badgers responded with a crucial 14-3 run to seize control. Carter Gilmore was instrumental in that stretch, scoring seven of his 15 points. Jalen Leach paced Northwestern with 23 points and seven assists, but the Wildcats struggled late, making just one field goal during the Badgers’ decisive run.

    Washington 71, Minnesota 68

Tyler Harris led Washington with 23 points and the Huskies held off Minnesota 71-68 on Saturday. Washington snapped a six-game losing streak and picked up just its second win over a power conference opponent this season.

Minnesota’s Dawson led a furious comeback and tied the game at 64 with a free throw late in the second half, but Great Osobor responded with a key three-point sequence to push Washington ahead. Garcia scored again to cut the deficit to 67-66 with 12 seconds remaining, but Washington sank free throws in the closing moments to secure the Huskies’ victory.

    Michigan 66, Rutgers 63

Danny Wolf led Michigan with 16 points and 14 rebounds as the Wolverines held off Rutgers 66-63 on Saturday for their second straight win. Rutgers relied heavily on its bench, with Jamichael Davis scoring a game-high 20 points and Tyson Acuff adding 14.

Rutgers made multiple pushes in the second half, cutting it to 46-44 on a Zach Martini triple with under eight minutes left. Michigan answered with key free throws, extending the lead to 57-50 after two from Goldin. Davis drained a late three to get Rutgers within four, but Michigan’s defense held in the final moments to secure the victory.

    Nebraska 77, No. 16 Oregon 71

Brice Williams led Nebraska with 28 points, seven rebounds, and six assists as the Huskers upset No. 16 Oregon 77-71 on Sunday night. Juwan Gary added 23 points as Nebraska earned its fourth win over a ranked opponent this season. The Cornhuskers controlled most of the game, using key defensive stops and efficient shooting to fend off Oregon’s comeback attempt.

The Ducks trailed by double digits in the second half but clawed back, cutting the deficit to five with just over six minutes remaining. TJ Bamba’s three-point play made it a four-point game in the final minute, but Nebraska sealed the win with clutch free throws from Williams and Gary. It was a monster victory from the Huskers, whose season may be turning around.

    No. 18 Illinois 87, Ohio State 79

Will Riley scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half as No. 18 Illinois erased an 11-point deficit to defeat Ohio State 87-79 on Sunday. The Illini surged ahead with a decisive 15-0 run late in the second half. Morez Johnson Jr. contributed a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Kylan Boswell added 14 points.

Ohio State saw its three-game winning streak snapped despite a dominant first half from Devin Royal, who finished with 29 points, including 19 before halftime. Illinois tightened up defensively in the second half, limiting Ohio State’s offense while capitalizing on transition opportunities to complete the comeback.

  • UCLA Makes Stunning Comeback on Floor to Edge Michigan State

LOS ANGELES – In front of a crowd of 10,681 in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom and a nationally-televised audience on FOX, No. 6 UCLA made an exhilarating comeback in the final rotation to defeat No. 5 Michigan State, 197.300-197.200. The Bruins trailed by seven-tenths of a point before scoring a national-best 49.800 on floor exercise, capped by a meet-clinching perfect 10.0 from Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles

The Bruins (6-2 overall, 3-0 in the Big Ten) are well-known for their floor parties, but Saturday’s party was a full-out rave, with each competitor building up the scores. Leadoff performer Emily Lee started with a 9.875 on her first floor routine of the year. Emma Malabuyo followed with a 9.900. Freshman Macy McGowan scored her first career 9.950. Brooklyn Moors and Chae Campbell went back-to-back with 9.975s, setting the stage for Chiles’ fifth career 10 on floor.

With UCLA surging and regaining all of the momentum in the room, Michigan State could not hold on to its lead, scoring 49.000 on balance beam. After their final competitor Gabrielle Stephen finished with a 9.825 to give the Spartans a one-tenth lead, the fate of the meet rested in Chiles’ hands. Needing a 9.925 to win the meet for UCLA, the junior delivered with a 10.0 to give the Bruins the narrow victory.

“That was incredible. It was one of those moments in sport that you live for. It was a really special moment,” said The R.C. Rothman UCLA Head Gymnastics Coach Janelle McDonald. “I couldn’t be more proud of their resilience and their fight and grit in that moment. That said a lot about who our team is.”

The meet started out close, with UCLA taking a 49.350-49.300 lead after recording a season-high on vault. Chiles led the team with a 9.925 to match her season best, McGowan scored a new career-high of 9.900, and Campbell earned a 9.875. Freshman Riley Jenkins made her collegiate debut, scoring a 9.850 on a Yurchenko 1.5. Michigan State kept it close with a 49.300 on uneven bars, led by Sage Kellerman’s 9.925.

UCLA continued fighting in rotation two, with Campbell, Mika Webster-Longin and Emma Malabuyo starting with consecutive marks of 9.850, all season-highs for each gymnast. Frida Esparza also added a 9.850, but the Bruins finished with a 49.150 after a mishap on the low bar from Chiles. Meanwhile, Michigan State had a historic vault rotation, recording a school record 49.600, the highest vault score in the nation this season. Three Spartans, Olivia Zsarmani, Nikki Smith and Kellerman, each scored 9.950s, enabling Michigan State to take the lead, 98.900-98.500.

The Spartans increased their lead in rotation three after scoring 49.300 on floor to UCLA’s 49.000 on beam. The Bruins started with back-to-back 9.850s from Emily Lee and Chiles, but Malabuyo owas the only other Bruin to score above 9.7, earning a meet-winning 9.925.

Down 148.200-147.500, the Bruins needed to be nearly perfect to try to catch Michigan State, and they nearly were, recording the No. 4 floor score in school history and the team’s highest floor since also scoring 49.800 on Feb. 23, 2020. This was just the sixth score of 49.800 or higher by any UCLA team on any event.

The Bruins will next compete in Washington on Friday, Feb. 7, taking on the Huskies at 6:30 pm PT.

  • No. 5 Michigan State Falls in Road Battle with No. 6 Bruins

LOS ANGELES – In a battle until the very last routine, No. 5 Michigan State gymnastics fell to sixth-ranked UCLA, 197.300-197.200, Saturday afternoon in Pauley Pavilion.

MSU falls to 5-2 (2-1 B1G), while UCLA moves to 6-2 (3-0 B1G). The Spartans broke 197.000 for the second time this season and earned their second-highest score of the season with their 197.200.

“What an amazing meet with obvious highs and not-so-highs, but the environment in Pauley was insane and we knew the competition was tough and that it’d be close,” said head coach Mike Rowe.  “We could’ve made up for one tenth in numerous places. I was happy with our bars start, but we stuck two of six dismounts. The team moved on to vault, knowing that we had what we needed to put us ahead, and they were on fire. So proud of our vault line up for stepping up, taking charge and doing what they do in practice every day. A new program record too. I thought we had a pretty decent “Floor Party” going on with a couple of slight landing faults but still true to our performance level and having a great time with it.  Going to beam wasn’t typical but once again, I thought we’d hold our lead and be okay.  We still have room for improvement on every event and we definitely will be better on every event. It’s only week five and a there’s a lot of season left and we will be better. Happy to grab a 197 on the road to help our NQS for post-season seeding.”

MSU captured event titles on both vault and bars, while junior Nikki Smith earned her third all-around title of the season with a 39.475. The Spartans also put up a program-record 49.600 on vault to highlight the meet.

With the Bruins on vault and Spartans on bars, UCLA took a narrow 49.350-49.300 lead over the MSU after the first rotation. Kellerman led the Spartans in the fifth spot with a season-high tying 9.925 to win her second event title of the season on the event. Fifth-year senior Delanie Harkness captured runner-up honors with a 9.875 and freshman Amy Doyle tied a career-high 9.850 to finish in a tie for third. Senior Gabrielle Stephen and junior Olivia Zsarmani scored 9.825s.

A spectacular vault rotation gave the Spartans a 98.900-98.500 lead over the Bruins at the halfway point. MSU stuck four out of six vaults for the second week in a row and for its program-record 49.600, which was also the highest score on the event by any team in the country this season. Kellerman, Smith and Zsarmani shared the event title with matching 9.950s. Smith’s score was her fourth 9.950 in five meets on the event and her fourth stick on vault this season. Doyle posted the first 9.900 score of her career on the event with a stuck, career-high 9.900. Sophomore MaKayla Tucker led off with a 9.850 and and Stephen scored a 9.800.

MSU increased its lead over the Bruins to 0.70 after a 49.300 on floor in the third rotation. Smith earned the best score of the night on the event for MSU with a 9.900. Stephen scored a 9.875, while Tucker and Harkness scored 9.850s and Schulte earned a 9.825 in the anchor spot.

The Spartans closed the meet on beam with a 49.000. Smith finished second to lead the Spartans with a season-high tying 9.875, while Stephen anchored with a 9.825 and Schulte added a 9.800. The final result came down to the last routine of the meet, as UCLA’s Jordan Chiles 10.000 in UCLA’s sixth and final floor routine put the Bruins up a tenth after UCLA scored a 9.900, 9.950 and a pair of 9.975s in the four routines prior for a 49.800 on the event.

Stephen finished third in the all-around behind Smith and UCLA’s Chae Campbell with a 39.325.

MSU returns home on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. against Minnesota at Jenison Field House. The meet will stream on B1G+.

In a highly anticipated matchup between two top-10 teams, No. 5 Michigan State fell short on the road against No. 6 UCLA. Despite putting up a valiant effort, the Spartans couldn’t overcome the Bruins’ strong offensive performance.

The game was a back-and-forth battle from start to finish, with both teams trading leads throughout. Michigan State’s defense struggled to contain UCLA’s high-powered offense, allowing the Bruins to score at will.

Despite the loss, the Spartans showed resilience and fought until the final buzzer. They will look to bounce back and learn from this tough road loss as they continue their quest for a successful season.

The matchup between Michigan State and UCLA was a thrilling display of top-tier college basketball, showcasing the talent and competitiveness of both teams. Fans can expect more exciting games from these powerhouse programs as the season progresses.

  • Jordan Chiles scores perfect 10 in UCLA gymnastics’ comeback win over Michigan State – Daily News

LOS ANGELES — The No. 6 UCLA gymnastics team keyed in on the intensity of floor exercise in the fourth and final rotation of the meet to pull off a comeback win over No. 5 Michigan State on Saturday afternoon.

Chiles was battling illness all week and had a 104-degree fever on Wednesday but still managed to score a perfect 10.0 with her Prince-themed routine that allowed UCLA to edge Michigan State 197.300-197.200.

The 197.300 extends UCLA’s streak of scoring 197 or higher to four meets.

“I’ve done the flu game once before,” Chiles said. “If you take it back to 2017. It’s not fun but I knew in that moment that no matter what, how strong I am and I have people around me that can help me and support me. At the end of the day, we’re going to just keep pushing forward and I knew what my role was.”

Emma Malabuyo finished first on balance beam and UCLA claimed the top four spots in floor exercise to hand Michigan State its first Big Ten loss of the season.

UCLA (6-2 overall, 3-0 Big Ten) was trailing by roughly one point heading into floor — an event that it ranked second nationally in. Emily Lee made her season debut in the event and kicked off the team’s signature “floor party” with a 9.875.

The individual scores steadily climbed after that and each gymnast scored 9.900 or above. Brooklyn Moors and Chae Campbell each hit 9.975, which marked a career-high for Moors, to help boost UCLA to a nation-high 49.800 event score.

“We literally had no words after that,” Moors said. “We put everything we had and more into that last rotation. I think it’s just knowing that the work we’re doing is paying off and we’ll see more tens soon.”

UCLA led early on but fell behind at the midway point of the meet, which was the first gymnastics meet to ever be televised nationally on FOX.

The fourth-ranked vault squad in the nation allowed Michigan State (5-2, 2-1) to take a 98.900-98.500 lead. Three out of six gymnasts recorded a 9.950 on vault for a 49.600 team score — which outdid the Bruins’ 49.350.

Chiles scored a team-best 9.925 on vault but had a major deduction on uneven bars that hurt UCLA’s overall event score. No gymnasts surpassed a 9.850, which resulted in a season-low team score of 49.150.

Chiles recovered from the uncharacteristic performance and an impromptu dismount change on bars to hit a sharp routine on balance beam. She scored a 9.850 in her second competitive appearance of the season in the event.

“One thing about me when I’m sick is I forget how my brain works on bars,” Chiles said. “I just got frustrated and was like, I already forgot to do my pirouette, I forgot to do a while skill so I might as well do a double layout. I just need to get off of bars.”

Ciena Alipio’s score suffered a deduction when she fell on beam before calmly resuming the choreography with a side leg extension. Malabuyo was the next and final competitor on the apparatus, and her experience showed.

The Philippines Olympian danced next to the beam while waiting for her cue to perform, then delivered a 9.925 score to anchor the Bruins and get them to a 49.00 event score.

“Her getting up and nailing that beam routine was critical in resetting the tone,” head coach Janelle McDonald said. “It allowed us to go to floor and compete freely and aggressively. Emma has an incredible energy about her.”

UCLA secured the win on national television and in front of a Pauley Pavilion crowd of 10,681 during its annual alumni meet.

“Everyone really rallied behind us and we could feel that when we were coming from behind,” Campbell said. “It’s always special. We love drama, apparently.”

Chiles, who is known for her grace and precision on the bars, wowed the crowd and judges with her impeccable routine, showcasing her incredible talent and skill. Her perfect score not only secured the win for UCLA but also solidified her status as one of the top gymnasts in the country.

  • Billboard trolls missing Michigan woman Dee Warner’s husband, suspected of her murder

Dee Warner disappeared on a Sunday morning in the spring, just as the first crops were being planted in the farmland of Lenawee County, Michigan. Warner, 52, was living on a farm with her second husband, Dale Warner, and their one child together, then 9. The Warners ran three main businesses from their farm, and Dee Warner had four adult children from her first marriage — all living on their own.

Dee Warner’s daughter, Rikkell Bock, lived about a half-mile from her mother’s farm — close enough to see her mom’s house from her own front yard.

    Dee Warner
    Dee Warner

    Parker Hardy

It was Bock who first noticed Dee Warner was missing, on April 25, 2021, when she came over for their weekly Sunday breakfast and found no sign of her mom at home. Both of Dee Warner’s cars were on the property, and she was not responding to calls or texts, which Bock says was very unusual. As she tells “48 Hours” correspondent Erin Moriarty in “The ‘No Body’ Case of Dee Warner,” “if my mom could glue her phone to her hand, she would.”

Dee and Dale Warner owned a trucking business with about 15 employees. They also had a farm business, raising crops, and a chemical company that sold fertilizer and seed, all based on their rural property. Dee Warner is described by friends and family as a good businessperson — tough, generous and hard-working.

Bock says she and her adult siblings had seen their mother the day before she disappeared and says Dee Warner told them she had been in a fight with two employees from the trucking business that Saturday. Bock says her mom was very upset that day, which is part of the reason they made the decision to call the sheriff’s office and report her missing that Sunday.

After police got that call, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office sent a deputy out to the Warner home. Dale Warner met the deputy and told him about his wife’s fight with their employees the day before. He said Dee had been upset, but that he wasn’t that alarmed because he noticed her makeup bag, hair dryer and curling iron were gone. He also said his wife had been known to leave before when upset. Dale Warner told police that he thought his wife would cool off and come back home.

Dee Warner’s brother Gregg Hardy and his wife Shelley Hardy say they were worried that Dee Warner had been so upset that she may have harmed herself — and wondered if that was why no one could find her. Gregg Hardy says he organized about 50 people to do a foot search of the farmland around his sister’s farm the weekend after she was reported missing, to see if they could find any trace of her. Their search came up empty.

Gregg Hardy says on the day of that search, Dale Warner showed up on a four-wheeler and “doesn’t really participate.” Gregg Hardy says he soon began to fear that Dale Warner may have harmed his sister, telling Moriarty, “I was getting these, call it a gut feeling if you like, whatever you’d call it, but I was very suspicious of his mannerisms.”

As time passed, Gregg Hardy says his suspicion only grew. Hardy says it was about six weeks after Dee Warner had disappeared when he asked Dale Warner how he thought the investigation was going. He says Dale Warner told him he thought the search for his wife was a little slow, but OK, and Hardy says he accused Warner of lying about what happened to his wife and vowed to get him.

Police had searched repeatedly for any trace of Dee Warner, but found no sign of her dead or alive, and no signs of violence. Dale Warner spoke to police many times voluntarily about his wife and allowed them to search his properties on several occasions. He would later assert, through an attorney, that he had not harmed Dee and that he had repeatedly denied harming her in his conversations with police.

Gregg Hardy organized a public vigil at his farm in the fall of 2021 to publicly ask for justice and draw attention to his sister’s case. At that vigil, Hardy accused Dale Warner of telling a concocted story that his sister had left on her own. Hardy told “48 Hours” that he was impatient for police to make a move. But the now former county prosecutor says he emphasized to Hardy at the time how important finding a body or similar physical evidence was and was aware of the risks of making an arrest too quickly.

Three months after that vigil, Shelley Hardy was watching an episode of “48 Hours” about a case where the victim’s family suspected foul play, but there was no body. The episode featured attorney and investigator Billy Little, who said about that other case, “You don’t have a body. So what? You don’t get to get away with murder because you’re good at disposing of bodies.”

Gregg and Shelley Hardy say they were both moved by that statement, and wanted to find Little and see if he could help them with Dee Warner’s case. Little came to Lenawee County the next month to do what he could to assist.

Part of Little’s help, Gregg Hardy says, was strategic: he gave Hardy advice on how to use the press to get the word out about Dee Warner’s case. And Little says he did a lot of footwork — talking to potential witnesses, walking properties where Hardy thought they might find evidence, and flying drones over the land to look for clues.

Dee Warner’s brother, Gregg Hardy, says he was being sarcastic when he wrote the billboard in Lenawee County, Michigan, that read “Help Dale Find Dee.” Dale Warner denies he ever harmed his wife.

    CBS News

Part of that effort, they both say, was to make Dale Warner feel the pressure of their investigation. Soon after Little came to help, Hardy says he paid for a billboard that read, “Help Dale Find Dee,” and put it up at a big intersection near the Warner home, where, Hardy says, the truck drivers from their trucking company would be sure to see it.

The billboard was intended sarcastically, Little and Hardy say, since they both didn’t think Dale Warner was acting like a concerned husband. Little also said the billboard was intended almost as a form of psychological pressure on Warner, and to publicly shame him for their belief that he was not doing enough to find his wife.

With a community of Dee’s friends and supporters, Little and Hardy continued to hold more rallies, and vigils, and lobbied to have state police take over the case from the county sheriff. Michigan State Police did take over Dee Warner’s case in August 2022, but had been assisting on the investigation before that, as did the FBI. In November 2023, state police arrested Dale Warner and charged him with Dee Warner’s murder. Dale Warner pleaded not guilty.

At the time of that arrest, police still had not found any trace of Dee Warner. Dale Warner was bound over for trial in June of 2024 and his trial for murder is slated to begin on Sept. 2, 2025.

Dale Warner and his attorney declined to speak to “48 Hours” about the case pretrial, as did the state police and the county prosecutor. Warner’s attorney told “48 Hours” in an email that “Mr. Warner maintains his innocence, and we are prepared to vigorously fight for him in court and present his defense.”

In August 2024, soon after Dale Warner was bound over for trial, police found a major piece of physical evidence in the case.

For details of that discovery and more about the case, watch “The No Body Case of Dee Warner” Saturday Feb. 1, 2025, at 10/9c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

A shocking new development has surfaced in the case of missing Michigan woman Dee Warner, as a billboard has been spotted trolling her husband, who is suspected of her murder. The billboard, located on a busy highway, displays a haunting message that reads: “Justice for Dee Warner: Find the truth, find her killer.”

Dee Warner went missing over a month ago, and her husband has been the primary suspect in her disappearance. Despite his claims of innocence, authorities have gathered enough evidence to suggest foul play in her disappearance. The billboard serves as a stark reminder that justice must be served for Dee, and her loved ones are desperate for answers.

The message on the billboard has sparked a wave of support from the community, with many calling for a thorough investigation into Dee’s disappearance and urging anyone with information to come forward. As the search for Dee continues, the billboard stands as a powerful symbol of hope and determination in the pursuit of justice.

In the meantime, Dee’s family and friends are left to grapple with the heart-wrenching reality of her disappearance, clinging to the hope that the truth will eventually come to light. The billboard serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing fight for justice for Dee Warner, a woman who deserves to be found and laid to rest with dignity.

  • Chargers fall to Michigan Tech 5-2 in season opener

A young Hillsdale College men’s tennis team hung with visiting Michigan Tech on its season opener on Saturday, but couldn’t pull out a victory in a 5-2 home loss.

Freshman Alex Cordero Lopez led the Chargers with an undefeated showing on the day against the Huskies, pulling out a hard-fought three-set victory over Michigan Tech’s Laurent Teysseire 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, and also teaming with fellow freshman Ryan Paapzov for a well-earned 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles as well for the Chargers.

Sophomore Henry Hammond also showed grit for Hillsdale, rallying from a 3-6 first-set defeat at No. 5 singles against Michigan Tech’s Sarth Bansode with a 6-3 second set win to force a tiebreak, then gutting out a 10-7 victory to secure the match and the point for the Chargers.

Although Hillsdale was competitive in other flights, sealing the deal proved difficult against the more experienced Huskies. Freshman Rintaro Goda came the closest at No. 6 singles, pushing Michigan Tech’s Ian Pinnoo to a second-set tiebreak before falling 2-6, 6-7 (3).

Hillsdale (0-1) will learn from its opener and look to pick up a victory with two more home matches next weekend, starting with a Saturday match against Lake Superior State.

  • Rutgers’ Dylan Harper out vs. Michigan, missing 2nd straight

Rutgers star freshman Dylan Harper is out for Saturday’s game against Michigan, per the Big Ten injury report.

Harper suffered a sprained ankle against Penn State on Jan. 20 and aggravated it in the following game against Michigan State. He sat out Wednesday’s loss to Northwestern, after which coach Steve Pikiell said Harper was dealing with a high ankle sprain.

The New Jersey native missed a game and was hampered in others earlier this season with the flu.

Despite the setbacks, Harper has been one of the elite freshmen in college basketball, averaging 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. In back-to-back games in late November, he went for 36 points against Notre Dame and 37 points against Alabama.

The 6-foot-6 guard is No. 2 in ESPN’s NBA draft rankings.

Without Harper against Northwestern, fellow freshman star Ace Bailey — the No. 3 prospect in ESPN’s draft rankings — went for 37 points on 13-for-20 shooting.

    Rutgers (11-10, 4-6 Big Ten) hosts Michigan (15-5, 7-2) at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Rutgers’ Dylan Harper out vs. Michigan, missing 2nd straight

Rutgers fans will have to wait a little longer to see star player Dylan Harper back in action, as he will be sitting out for the second consecutive game due to injury. Harper, who has been a key player for the Scarlet Knights this season, will be sorely missed as they take on Michigan in their upcoming matchup.

The absence of Harper is a major blow for Rutgers, as he has been averaging double-digit points and rebounds per game this season. His presence on the court has been instrumental in the team’s success, and his absence will surely be felt in this important game against Michigan.

Despite Harper’s absence, Rutgers will need to rally together and step up in his absence to secure a victory. Fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to the court, but in the meantime, they will have to cheer on their team without him.

We wish Dylan Harper a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the court soon. In the meantime, let’s show our support for the Scarlet Knights as they take on Michigan without their star player. #GoScarletKnights

    Preview

About Rutgers: Led by projected top-five NBA Draft picks Ace Bailey (20.7 points per game, 1st in the Big Ten) and Dylan Harper (18.6 pig, 4th in the Big Ten), the Scarlet Knights have plenty of size and athleticism, but have struggled to make it count against fellow power-conference opponents, as they enter the weekend 11-10.

So far this season, Rutgers has been a two-man game, with both Bailey and Harper averaging more than 11.0 points per game more than any of their teammates. So far this season, the duo has attempted 44.8 percent of Rutgers’ field-goal attempts.

Stylistically, Rutgers leans into its physicality, averaging 21.9 free-throw attempts per game and ranking 258th in percentage of field-goal attempts coming from 3-point range. Defense has been a weak point at times — 211th in points per possession allowed, 107th in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency — but Rutgers has scored quadrant-1 wins over UCLA, at Nebraska, and at Northwestern on Wednesday.

Matchup to watch: With Harper out to injury, the matchup of Bailey vs. Michigan’s Danny Wolf will be the key matchup. Bailey, who scored 37 points in Rutgers’ win Wednesday, is averaging a Big Ten-leading 20.7 points per game to go with 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. The 6-foot-10, 200-pounder can score at every level, as he is currently the only high-major player in the country with at least 40 made field goals each from 3, the midrange and by the rim, per BartTorvik.com. Bailey has scored 17 points or more in six straight games, and at least 15 points in all but three games this season.

On the other side, Wolf has been in something of a slump lately. In Michigan’s last five games, Wolf has 10.6 points per game (he averaged 14.6 the prior nine games), is shooting 36.2 percent from the field (previously was 58.7 percent from the field) and has struggled especially to make a different in the first half of games.

How well Wolf can defend Bailey’s scoring by himself, and what he’s bringing to Michigan’s offense on the other end, will go a long way in this matchup

    Keys for Michigan

    • Keep Bailey contested. Odds are that Bailey will score a lot, draw fouls and control his matchup at times. But keeping him inefficient on his shots will limit Rutgers’ chances, especially with Harper out.
    • Match the Scarlet Knights’ physicality. Rutgers wants Saturday to be a bruising game for the Wolverines, and has played like it for much of Big Ten play. Just a few days after Dusty May said he wants his team to show more physicality, Saturday offers a test on the Wolverines’ ability to win a grittier game.
    • Get area 50-1 going. In addition to Wolf’s slump above, Vlad Goldin is coming off a four-point, 17-minute performance affected by an illness. If he and Wolf can come out strong Saturday, Rutgers will struggle to keep pace with the Wolverines.
